Beautiful view, good location The hotel is overpriced. Some rooms need renovation.
The location was great, right on the canal. The spa was very good. My massage was perfect, the jacuzzi was well situated with an amazing view of the Andes and the canal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a bit disappointing. At breakfast, we were told that half of the dining room was not available because it had been set up for lunch (it was 10:00). That made it feel a bit unwelcoming. The steak was mediocre, which is unexpected in Argentina of all places. Outside of that, everything was good.
Exelent hotel. thr staff is friendly and efficient. The food is wonderful. The spa is emazing. We really enjoyed our staying in the hotel. We recomend the hotel
The view of the Beagle channel, the SPA, food and the general atmosphere and decor of the hotel.
The location was good - right across the street from the cruise terminal The heat was not regulated, and we had to keep the window open to reduce it from >80 degrees F in the room. The road noise was loud. The Junior Suite advertised a sofa and a full dryer and neither was in our room. The breakfast area had no clean tables - yet more than 10 empty and not bussed tables. The breakfast selection was poor, and not everything seemed very fresh. Wifi was unreliable at best in both the room and common areas. For cruise traffic, the early check out time was extremely inconvenient and we refused to pay the upcharge OVER the high rate to check out later.
Staff was tremendously helpful and gracious! Restaurant was wonderful too...a bit pricey though.
Hotel was adequate but no more - staff were professional and helpful. But I felt that it promised more than it delivered. Restaurant for evening meal was very good - best food we had in Ushuaia, matched only by the restaurant Kalma. Spa facilities - for a spa hotel this was poor. They don;t open until 2pm,the jacuzzi was of questionable cleanliness. A proper spa hotel would have provided drinking water and a cold plunge pool and the floor was frankly dangerous - floor very slippery and access to the jacuzzi not safe.Other dislikes - breakfast was poor quality and clearly done as cheaply as possible.
The location was excellent and within very easy reach of all amenities for both day-time and evening activities. The spa is tiny so one would not be inclined to us it really. I think the spa was a little overstated on the website. The heating system into the bedroom was very loud and could not be controlled from the room at all as it is all a central heating system blowing hot air into the rooms; it seemed to be thermostatically controlled and would come on during the night /early morning and wake us up!
wonderful, accommodating staff! perfect location for antarctica-bound ships
Staff very helpful Breakfast coulod be better
The location is quite good, and easily accessible to restaurants, shops, harbor for cruising. The hotel staffs were kind and friendly. Although the room charge is expensive, it is valuable. One of two computers on the lobby floor was out of order. Therefore, I was not able to utilize the free-internet service.
the perfect staff performence - kind , polite and eficient. no complaints
No service at all. Like you take care of your own luggage (even if can't do) and there is only one guy inside the reception who obviously is too busy to help! But at USD 176/night at least they should have one porter, no? I also hate the fact that after paying this amount with b'fast included then expresso coffee is an extra USD 7 during b'fast!! Why???? Why shall we accept a putrefact american coffee as a b'fast in a country mainly founded by Spaniards and Italians????? LAstly the lounge was nice, overlooking the town. When I grabbed a wine magazine though, I realized it was 5 years old!!! Shame on them!!!
Absolutley gorgeous room
staff were friendly and the hotel was very central rooms were very small not deluxe as suggested...breakfast was very average i would expect for this hotel fresh orange juice not cordial and the bar area did not offer anything appropriate ie quality wine by the glass
incredible views and owners care nothing
It was a beautiful Inn, very unique. Rooms are small and very hot. They charged for everything. I had some tea in the afternoon and they charged $10 AR per tea bag and didn´t tell me. It was overpriced for what it was.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Genuinely friendly and personal service, excellent rooms and great food.
Great small family run hotel. Room was beautiful, hotel looks new. Great views of the Beagle canal. Breakfast was complete with eggs, pastries, dulce de leche, bacon and more. Staff speaks english. They send a driver to the airport to pick us up and arranged sighseeing tour but I would skip that and do the Pira Tour instead where you can walk with the penguins. It's a bit far from town. Taxi's are available and cheap (15 pesos each way) and most knew how to get there. Tv was a nice flat panel, but had rabbit ear antenna that picked up one weak static filled station (no cable). They offer dvd movies for free but at the price of this hotel, I expected cable tv.
The restaurant at the hotel was incredible. Probably the best food we had in all of Patagonia. And the service was really great as well.
the owners are very friendly and speaking English. the hotel is very clean and well organised. the price is too high.
good situation and calm place
Wonderful food, personal service, warm welcome, beautiful setting No. However, own transport was preferable as it is out of the town
I loved this small hotel! If you ever have reason to go to Ushuaia, I would most definitely recommend it. It is small and the owners live right there. You definitely feel the personal touch. There is free internet, a shelf full of books and a lovely comfortable couch in the main sitting area. The breakfast was the best we had in Argentina. If you stay at the hotel, you can also have dinner there. The dinner was also one of our best meals. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view. This was a great find.
the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful the rooms were lacking in wow factor. all hotels should have proper showers not bath showers
Spacious and well uipped rooms, friedly staff and good location. spa part is limited
a lot of space and an excellent location the pool water seemed dirty we did not take a swim
Everything was perfect. The room was very good with a nice view out of the window. The location is very good, the hotel staff is very helpful. The breakfast is served to the room and it is OK, but I would add some fruits to this breakfast. Also, the price is quite high
The apartment was quite big, the location excellent, the spa is small, but enjoyable. The bathroom floor was not cleaned every day.
Excellent location, close to main street and walking distance to the harbour. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a room with a gorgeous view toward the harbour and the mountains! Breakfast in your room is rather simple, but okay.
Good location and very nice and helpfull staff. Poor breakfast for the money you pay. No wi-fi in the ros (just reception).
The room was large and spacious, with a dining table and kitchenetter-type amenities such as a sink, crockery and cutlery, microwave and a mini-fridge. The room had been recently renovated so was in excellent condition and the housekeeping staff kept it immaculate during our stay. The hotel is located about five blocks from the main shopping/eating strip of San Martin, up a sometimes steep hill. While this did not bother me so much, it might be of concern for older travellers, especially as the footpaths are in terrible condition and the steepness of the hill could be a problem in snowy or icy weather.
Roomy rooms. Breakfast was a lottery, depending on the volume of people eating at the same time, and the WiFi was not working the entire stay. And no explanation or compensation was forthcoming.
Very nice apartment/hotel complex with comfortable rooms. Beds and bathroom were just fine and with a small living room there's plenty of room for your stuff. Location was one of the factors for choosing Del Bosque. Its right in the center of Ushuaia and from your apartment you can walk to all offices to books activities and tours and nice restaurants as well. Try Tante Sara for lunch! The staff was friendly and professional. The charge for laundry is too much, even if they did do a good job.
We have liked the location, near Beagle Chanel and cleanliness of the room. We did not liked the receptionist on the day we have arrived, very incompetent and also we canceled one night by phone with him 1 week before, he explained that should pay also that night.
Quiet neighbourhood, views across the Beagle Channel creates a relaxed and tranquil environment, Breakfast was pretty uninspiring and needs a bit of variance
Staff very helpful. You can arrange all the sightseeings and trips around at the front desk. Beautiful views of the Beagle Channel, specially if you ask for an upper room. A little far of downtown area, but you can get there by taxi for U$ 5.
The view was good. We had a room with the view of the Beagle Channel. The location-- a bit far from town and is located at a site which is not easy to find. Breakfast is very simple.
Hotel was wonderful - just located a bit further from town than expected - so to do anything needed to go via taxicab - while not very expensive $5-6 one way, we would have preferred a closer location. Distance from the town
freindly reception staff, clean rooms, good temperature, no dinning room for dinner, breakfast was the same every day, buffet not replenished so if you wanted a late breakfast there was no food left, there were no laundry facilities.
People there is very friendly. The place is very comfortable, I'd say even cozy, and there's a supermarket very close. Only inconvenient is that it's a little far from the central area (around 5 km), but it's located at the middle of the way to the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
the hotel is very nice & confort the hoel is far a way from the city about 10 minites by car & you have to take a taxi all the time and the price for the room in october is very high with comparison to the other hotels in same level and more which where in center town
