More staff attention during the check in and checkout . The desk agent wasn't at all welcoming more over charged my are instead of only keeping a copy. During During checkout the desk agent delayed so long I missed my flight to Monrovia, costing me extra two days in Accra and about $200.00 more.
This hotel us wildly overpriced as a "five star" hotel when the service it delivers is somewhere btwn a one and two star hotwl. The "Guest Services Center" is often unmanned and your call can ring and ring foe an hour without any one answering. When someone finally picks up, they barely speak intelligible English and they're just rude. As far as actually attending to your need? No, not a chance. Really, the service at this hotel is an absolute disaster. In particular the restaurant manager is extraordinarily rude and I professional. And the breakfast buffet is a total disappointment, FYI. Everything.
It took our strong argument before they could give us the hotel we booked , which the call spirit. Please check it so that people will not continue to be getting annoyed when ever they get there. The manager have to intervene before they gave me a manageable room. That made my stay unhappy. Secondly I booked for two guest, but they claim that I booked for one, not until I showed them my reservation, that was the only time they allowed my guest to eat in the morning. This is wrong.
The building, room and other facilities were wonderful and so was the food I ordered from the restaurant. For the cost of one night (and in my case I needed to keep it beyond checkout because I had a late flight), the roots is much too expensive. While in Accra I found several places with much more character, closer to the beach for a lot less money.
Lovely grounds. Some services seemed disorganized like airport shuttle and handling guest complaints. Listed as 4 star but would rate it closer to a budding 3 star based on consisty of service.
Breakfast buffet is great and servers were friendly. Rooms were clean and the grounds are attractive. Our first room had some much air freshener that I started getting a headache. I never get headaches. The front desk was a little reluctant in giving us another room. Had to wait about 30 minutes to get another room.
The location at the airport was good for me as i arrived and departed very late. The entire staff very friendly Food was very good Room was nice The Wifi was always disconnecting My room was opposite house keeping so lots of noice
Nice breakfast included; shuttle prompt and comfortable; less than 10 mins from airport Hot water (reliant on solar) was lukewarm at best due to December Harmattan wind.
