The stay was fine. The rooms are a little run down and in need of some repair. Otherwise everything was fine. Staff were very helpful and with a nice manner. Some of the furniture was torn and the chairs were very dusty. There were also holes in the wall.
The location of the hotel right in the city centre. Enjoyable breakfast. Very high cost for internet ( 2.5 euros/hour). Most of the hotels offer internet wireless for free. Praking is just for max 10 cars right in front of the hotel. It si not actually a parking place, cars are stopped near the sidewalk. Furniture and bathroom equipments should have been changed years ago.
all rooms are for smokers, therefore if you are not a smoker, you'll feel the heavy air. it did not seem very clean either.
A good hotel in the best place, close to old town. .
central location, good restaurant when ballrooms in use create too much noise for the guests on the 1st floor.
A beautiful traditional hotel, very centrally located. Courteous, helpful staff. Excellent restaurant. Price out of season was very reasonable for a quality hotel in such a central location. Comfortable, warm (it was minus 20 degrees C outside!), free internet access. This is Romania - you have to manage your expectations a little bit, but I have no complaints about my stay.
The cooperation and the hospitality of the staff. The staff are the best thing about this hotel.Room design was also very nice. the breakfast room was very small. The collection of items was not wide.
Staff was helpful and very polite, location is excellent, hotel is quiet and stylish. The room was much smaller than expected, in particular for a 5* hotel. Bathroom was really small, nothing to do with the pictures on the web site. Quite dissappointing.
Location ; comfortable ample junior suite; good restaurant
Good location and very clean and peaceful hotel. Taste of luxury from old days. Very good service in Romanian standards!!! Small but not fatal issues like bad smell from waste pipes (or similar), leaking shower cubicle, cold coffee in breakfast.
The hotel should be ranked as 3 or 4 stars and not as 5 stars
comfortable bed breakfast was so simple and bad taste
great location too old!
The early 20th building has been beautifully restored, while the interiors have been tastefully designed in a high end contemporary style. All the rooms are actually suites, with separate living/dining area, foyer, bedroom and bathroom. All the spaces are ample, very well appointed and extremely clean. A sumptuous breakfast in the rooftop restaurant Ici et La (with great views) is included in the price. The French food served at the restaurant at night is extraordinary and very well priced: do not miss it! The hotel is very well located, close to the Old Town, the beautiful Cismigiu Park, the National Art Museum, and major avenues. Although a few of the buildings on the Regina Elizabeta Boulevard seem to be abandoned, they are all outstanding examples of 19th and early 20th century European architecture. Staff was very helpful. We loved everything!
the hotel is in a very good aria of bucharest , is a very nice hotel, clean, with nice staff for a good price
A perfect place to stay in Bucharest!
Size and style of the room No
Very much the comfort and very kind staff. Problem with cleaning.................The price is a litlle much too high for such type of the hotel!!!
I liked the hotel itself and the location. The staff were very friendly. There is no parking at the hotel (pedestrian street) and the parking possibilities were not clearly explained by the staff, so we ended up improvising with the guardian of some private company parking lot nearby, which was weird and quite uncomfortable
Very good hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast and absolutely fantastic location, close to all major sights and very good restaurants.
Cosy small hotel nicely located in old town with recently refurbished room which looked exactly like on the online pictures. Helpful staff that would fulfill your smallest need with a smile. Although hotel does not have a restaurant, a room-service is organised from the nearby restaurants and cafés. Excellent. If you want to avoid "tastless and odourless" international hotels, Rembrandt is a good alternative. Personnally, I wasn't disturbed but there is a risk of noise from the cafes and bars below on the street. Looks like a popular going-out part of town. Despite "noise risk" to my understanding the rooms facing the street are nicer than the ones towards the backyard.
Supurb location. Top breakfast buffet included in room rate
Very nice hotel. Worth staying in. Nice breakfast
Clean, comfortable, good space, efficient staff. It was not possible to get extra tea or coffee sachets at 6pm!!!!! A small point, but bad.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is right in the heart of the city
location, size of junior suite no hot water during a break down
Great location. Very modern, clean, good breakfast, very friendly, professional, and knowledgible staff. Just the fact that no double room had two beds...
All is covered in question 2
The place is excelent, everything was as expected: breakfast simple but enough, no lift but staff very helpful, room small but enough. The relation of price/location/quality good. The girl in the recepcion very kind and with a lot of pacience The local council is reparing all the streets, and the work disturbs a little.
Very good service Location is central (as good as it gets basically) but streets around the hotel are under major repair.
Good location, friendly staff. Room was small but ok. A bit too noisy outside on the street during night.
Good facilities with friendly staff. Very clean. Not sited in the best position, but that's Bucharest.
Checking out. There's an open air dance club across the street. Even with the Windows shut, it was impossible to sleep and even if you managed to sleep it was impossible to relax. The sink drain was broken.
The room was comfortable. The staff, while friendly on the surface, became indifferent if there was anything out of the ordinary. For example, I developed food poisoning and while I was trying to get a ride to the airport (quite sick and doubled over with stomach cramps) the woman behind the desk took a personal call (with lots of laughing and chatting) while I had to wait for her attention, even though she knew I was sick.
Furniture chosen with good taste. Controllable air conditioning. Clean. Well located. The windows were not fully sound-proof (ear plugs needed for sleeping). There was no safe in the room and the safe procedure at the reception was bureaucratic but without an actual safe and just a drawer.
I've been all over Bucharest and this is most certainly the best hostel in the city. Very nice staff, cool terrace and kitchen, fast internet. Right by old center and all the bars. Nothing bad about the place. You might meet some strange tourists from all over the world but that's part of the fun of staying in a hostel in a big city.
Friendly cute girl at reception, after check in they left me alone which is nice. Wifi is smoking fast, I was able to download a 1 GB file in about 20 seconds. Cheap and right in the middle of centru vechi. Showers are weird, takes some finesse to get a good pressure and temperature. A compromise that comes with being in the middle of the party, you are surrounded by clubs that blast music all night and drunk people are screaming outside along with it. Security is a little questionable, use the provided lockers!
