The manager came to meet us outside the medina and showed us where to park our car, very helpful! Our room was ready, nice and very well cared of (rose petals on our beds and bottled water on the night-stand). They prepared for us a very nice dinner on the terrace, candlelight and everything to make it unforgettable...
The staff was really nice and welcoming. Provided us with a lot of Information about the area and what to see. The room was really nice and we had 2 entrances, one of them leading to the rooftop terrace. safe was simple to operate. Excellent location and easy to get back to the riad without getting lost. The bathroom was a bit small. The room size was perfect although getting around the edge of the bed was tight but it wasn't that bad. the breakfast was a definite miss. We didn't enjoy much of it. Maybe if we went down earlier, it would have tasted fresher or just better. Or maybe not
Excellent amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff Signage to get there not very visible
Very good ++++++++++++
the location in the historical part of Marrakech and the atmosphere of the traditional old house in the hotel
Very good location, personnel very friendly and helpful (with good English), wonderful atmosphere All was really good
Very good location, very close to the medina square. Staff was excellent. the room was very small with no tv
It was within walking distance of most of Marrakech's attractions They could have better directions on how to find them, it took 45 minutes on foot with luggage and the help of some very kind locals to find them.
Quiet, excellent staff, good attention to detail, lovely roof terraces, central location Shower too small, toilet difficult to stand up at
Excellent Spa facility, very helpful staff @ front office, housekeeping & spa. Food @ the Moroccon restaurant was super. The service and food at the Indian Restaurant was of poor quality.
The tranquility of the hotel, swimming pool and central location The attitude of the staff and lack of organisation/speed of serving customers
The hotel was like a palace and the room was amazing. The roof top indian restaurant was excellent and the hotel was in the centre so very near to all of the local attractions, perfect location.
Everything. The location, just metres from the square. The tranquility of the hotel. Superb breakfast. The heated rooftop pool. The four excellant restaurants.Fantastic 5 star hotel. NONE
Great location. This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel. We have enjoyed our stay each time. The rooms are excellant, breakfast very good, ample choice from the buffet. Would strongly recommend.
The staff was disorganized and dishonest. They strung us along for several hours about attempts to fix the AC in our room only to finally admit there was no AC in the hotel in February (despite being a warm and muggy night) after we confronted them with the fact that every room had its windows open.
The facilities of the hotel and its surroundings, on one side, and the comfort of the room on the other side. We checked out at 9.30 Pm, upon our arrival from the desert and were told that in the following day it would be possible to extend our stay in the room, until leaving to the AirPort (later in the afternoon), but we would have to confirm it with reception after breakfast. We have done so, but were told that a group was entering and so we had to leave at 12am. They new that beforehand so they could have given us another room... We actually didn't have time to enjoy the hotel at all (and we were on an expensive room, at least among our 5 nights stay in Marrakesh and surroundings)).
The Cocktail bar was super, the Indian/Thai restaurant was poor and the staff were very inexperienced in that restaurant. The rest of the Hotel was enjoyable. The food was of a poor standard we ate out as a result, which was a pain and an inconvenience, the breakfast was not of the normal hotel standard.
The hotel is exceptionally well located to the old city attractions and the rooms are generous in size. Service could have been better.
Traditional decor but luxurious everything was wonderful
We could relax in a patio. The staff had hospitality.
One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Truly recommended.
Very luxurious decor, good service, great HD tv, good food. They were unable to change some Moroccan money for smaller denominations. They also charged the room using the current euro exchange rate despite our booking confirmation with booking.com stating that we would pay 897 euros for 3 nights plus 3.50 euros pppn tax. We were only overcharged around £20 but felt there was a principle at stake. We complained without success.
This is a fabulous Riad - the other reviews are all spot on. The staff are brilliant wanting to help you - always asking if they can do things. The breakfasts were a highlight - eating them on the roof top terrace as the city woke up was a treat and we will miss them. We got through the airport over 90 minutes late but the taxi that had been arranged to pick us up was there and when we got to the Riad the meal that we had arranged was ready for us when it fitted in with us - and it was spectacular. All the staff seemed to enjoy being at the Riad and this came across as they wanted to make you feel at home - I can not praise this Riad enough.
The staff was incredible. Hotel Employee were the most gracious of hosts, the food was wonderful. Dar Anika was a tranquil oasis in the midst of the chaos of the medina. It was wonderful to go out and explore, and then come back to such luxury a The only thing we found to complain about was that the meal portions were too generous! The food was so good we kept eating and eating!
This place is literally an oasis in the middle of the medina. My wife and I stayed in the deluxe suite and we absolutely loved our room. They serve amazing food all day but please make sure you eat on the terrace at night!! its amazong!! Walking to the riad at night is a little scary. The good thing is that the staff sends someone to meet you outside if you call ahead. Definitely not a make or break thing.
Breakfast was ridiculously expensive - prices not given on website. Showerhead not fixed so unable to shower properly. Plug in sink stuck so could not fill basin to wash. Only Thai menu for Dinner although we were offered to dine at a nearby Riad. Spring rolls were horrible!
well everything really, the staff could not have been more helpful, friendly or courteous. The hotel was fabuluous and very well situated. Only disappointed that the roof garden was closed for refurbishment and that it was not made clear that use of the spa pool was extra.
If you want to stay in the medina of Marrakech, this riad offers top service in a beautiful house/palace decorated with taste in pure maroccan style. A 5 star riad we had for the price of a 3 star...
Good central location in medina, traditional design and quiet and peaceful. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Very good breakfast. No pool in the actual building although we could have used pools in nearby riads of same hotel - however it was not clear from the website which building we would be staying in and which rooms the photographs were representing.
The hotel staff at Bab Firdaus was outstanding. The professionalism and warmth was exceptional and this to me was the most important part of our stay at the hotel. I intend to go back soon and I hope that they will be there.
It's been a pleasure to stay at one of the Angsana Collections Riad, we have been at "Bab Firdaus". All staff was great, the decoration, cleaning, food, everything excelent, the location it's good, 5 minutes walk from the Jammal El Fna square. I advise 100%. No negative points.
The hotel was in a good location, just a short walk to the main action. Service was very good and the staff were always helpful. The spa treatments were very nice. Found the hot water system very inadequate and the water pressure. If you have a room on the ground floor next to the dining area, it can be quite noisy and hard to get to sleep if people are sitting around chatting.
Good size room and en suite with local fittings . Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice food No
We had very enjoyed the traditional Morokkan style riad. Having breakfast at the rooftop and nice spa experience.Everything was so exotic. They introduced a good guid for us who can speak Japanese well. They prepared a mobil for just in case because easy to lost our way such a maze, but it was less charged.
The staff, Perfect. The Spa, marvellous. Looking booking pictures it seems that the riad has a nice swimming pool. It has a small pond of 2x2 meters in the hall. No sun at all. The pictures of the swimming pool are fake. There are a collage of other riads of the same company. This is not fair and it should be changed. The street of the ryad is under construction. They are fixing the sewer. Horrible smell and dangerous to walk around. Danger of falling or be injured.
