Fordele: It is an Ok place, look nice in photos but lacks 'soul' and personal attention to details. Location in village is good. The restaurant is also OK but no more than that.

Ulemper: Relative to price, the bedding (mattress and blankets) are horrible, pool is dirty, breakfast is poor, and general lack of attention to details. Owner is on premises but does not make an effort. Dar Bibin next door is by far better.

Fordele: It's a beautiful small boutique hotel with we trained staff. The owner was the only one who could speak in English and was very friendly and helpful and so were the staff. Nothing really comes with the room, or at least our room. No complimentaries as a place like Djerba it would be a good t include just a thing or two so it makes the guest welcomed and comfortable. Well, this only my feeling no-one has to agree with though. Property has a very beautiful pool, where you could sit and relax and this was the hotel were it was so peaceful and no one to disturb you. Also, the breakfast was really yummy

Ulemper: Our room was very small, but bathroom was big. Doesn't come with enough plugs to charge or do anything.

Fordele: The most enchanting place . I have been dreaming of staying here for a few years ! The most delightful owners and staff . Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Comfortable , quiet , delicious food ( the best we’ve had in Tunisia) and wine . Rooms cleaned beautifully daily. Gorgeous pool. Lovely chess boards in sitting areas. WiFi in public areas only which suited us. Pretty old square very near by with good cafe serving range of teas and some nice boutiques/ shops .

Ulemper: Sometimes the piped music ! But that is a matter of taste !

Fordele: Decor and the beautiful structure of the stone rooms and shower

Fordele: Beautiful decor, calm and peaceful atmosphere, good breakfast and wonderful dinner at the restaurant. I can’t fault anything, staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Airport pickup and drop off was very convenient, as was the great free bike rental. Gorgeous neighbourhood too.

Fordele: The complex of buildings, which form a whole unit, typical of the island's architecture. The interior design retains the specificity of the area, creating the impression of a museum. If you are looking for something authentic, this is the place. The owners of the property were pretty cute and helpful.

Ulemper: Breakfast.

Fordele: The hotel is beautiful and the room we had was like a dream. Location is also great and the service is excellent

Ulemper: The breakfast could have been better or maybe more options than just bread and jam. Also the pool war very cold

Fordele: The hotel is extremely beautiful, in traditional Djerba style. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, very flexible regarding program changes.

Ulemper: Only small downfall for me would be the breakfast that didn't really meet my expectations. The hotel should focus on something simple but traditional, natural honey from the region, local lablabi and good coffee instead of insdustrial products.

Fordele: Very quite and nice place. Staff was warm and welcoming. Authentic architecture and room's decoration

Fordele: Great team, delightful dar, quiet and beautifully decorated and furnished. Nice breakfast.

Ulemper: Only wifi at the reception. But maybe that's an advantage...

Fordele: everything

Fordele: Suite is comfortable，big enough，neat, with all kinds of things needed. Breakfast is superior than most airbnb I ever lived in Tunisia. Alexander is beautiful and warm. It worth a five star for its price.

Ulemper: Nothing. The only thing you need confirm before making your choice is that Maison Leila is not a place near the sea, but it’s not a problem if you have a car.

Fordele: Exceptional breakfast, best in Tunisia

Fordele: Awesome awesome hotel, beautiful houses with a pool, nice staff and clean rooms with comfy beds.

Ulemper: No WiFi in the room, only public area.

Fordele: We were on our honeymoon and the beautiful, romantic decor in our room and throughout the place, so many cozy, luxurious spots to relax— it was the perfect place! We loved the patio with blooming jasmine and a bubbling fountain and relaxed environment. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. If not for the lure of the Mediterranean, I would have spent more time in the fabulous swimming pool. I couldn’t imagine a lovelier hideaway on Djerba. The mosque across the street is a beautiful sight to see as well. I highly recommend Maison Leila!

Fordele: The experience was very authentic. The old house turned into guest house was superb. We took the big room because we needed space for the whole family. It was the best option we could imagine. The price was very cheap for the space we got. The breakfast was basic but the ladies in the kitchen accommodated our additional requests (omelette for the kids etc.)

Ulemper: We have big suitcases and the big room is in the upper floor. If you have big suitcases and can’t carry them you would better choose a room on the ground floor.

Fordele: Good people, absolutely amazing pool and beautiful setting.

Ulemper: Internet service quite ropey and don't expect regular access in room

Fordele: Alessandra's kindness was priceless. breakfast was refined and rich, is a nice place to find quiet and relax everything looks really handmade and homely

Ulemper: room was a bit dark and rough the pool was not in service but due to bad weather.. we had a giant ant invasion, they were literally all over the place, in the room in the pool everywhere wifi was low kinda everywhere

Fordele: This hotel is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in if not the best. The rooms were amazing - beautiful decor and set up throughout the hotel and its property; wonderful breakfast including fresh juice and delicious homemade cakes and Tunisian dishes (sauces, savory dips, omelette); and most of all excellent service. The people who work in this hotel especially Alessandra and Hanan were so kind and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience and they were genuinely engaged in the care of hotel guests. 10/10

Ulemper: Everything was honestly lovely and just right.

Fordele: Spacious room, huge pool, no animation so the pool area was quiet. Very nice people, great beach. The grounds are big, so the resort did not feel crowded even though the resort was fully booked.

Ulemper: Food was OK but could have been better, with more variety. Evening service at the restaurant was very slow. I loved the breakfast though.

Fordele: the staff were very nice and professional

Ulemper: the additional rate that the hotel charged me for my kid!!!!I I would like a refund for that

Fordele: Enormous suite, very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable, giant swimming pool, great food (but I think some "light" or "finger" food near the pool would be great, I prefer to eat something simple when I want to return right away to sun-bathing and not a typical "knife and fork" meal), awesome value-for-your-money

Ulemper: Simple snacks like sandwiches, burgers, ice-creams, etc., should be available near the pool and beach; the beach should be cleaned more often (not an hotel-related problem, but Djerba-related, I think), as there's a lot of trash on the sand (bottles, packages, containers...); the windows' curtains in the suite should be able to block the sun more effectively in order not to wake up with the sun rising. But all minor cons.

Ulemper: Simple things like the sauna was extra. That should not happen in a 5* hotel. The breakfast could do with fresh bread and some more cerials. Also not good enough for a 5* hotel.

Fordele: Clean and good for the price. But you cannot expect too much. The rooms are okay, but not much decorated or something. Nice garden. Breakfast good for Tunesian standards, the cleaning and cooking lady is very nice and helpful

Ulemper: The manager at the reception was very unfriendly, our ac was broke and he did not care much so we had to ask if we can have another room which was possible then. He did not speak much to us at all. Beach near hotel very dirty, no private beach.

Fordele: The breakfast was nice. The listing on booking.com said that towels were not included, but they were and we even got fresh ones when we asked for them.

Ulemper: It's always nice to have wifi in the room too, but the wifi in the lobby was good.

Fordele: Very clean and comfortable apartments, friendly staff, room service doing very good job providing us with what we request shortly, I will definitely back again.

Fordele: The beach with provided free water sports and camel/horse rides and the pool. Relaxation area with sun beds to have a nap or meditate. Buffet had many choices and staff were always on hand to help

Ulemper: The theatre is boring because the shows are based on dancing.. it should have more variety.

Ulemper: A little isolated, not a whole lot to do in the evening. Hotel fine, but dreadful experience with booking.com - I reserved a room here from the search results presented by booking.com (based on the number AND age of people entered for the search) but the pricing presented it turns out, was incorrect leading the hotel to request an additional significant payment from us on our second day. I raised the issue with a lady in booking.com customer support who denied any responsibility and initially was very rude and argumentative. In the end the hotel kindly wavered the discrepancy even though it was triggered by incorrect booking.com search results. A second call back from a different booking.com support agent confirmed an IT support ticket had been created to address this poor customer experience.

Ulemper: The stuff start collecting the food in dinner time 15 minutes before the closing time means 9:45 pm instead of 10:00 pm

Fordele: Room was very nice with a great beach view, the beach also was very closed to hotel I enoyed also the external areas and to walk in the garden There is a good level of staff presence and animation

Ulemper: Common areas look quite confused, with many styles and lots of up and down stairs Buffet areas was small and crowded. Food variety was poor, compared also with other Chains in the same area and of the same stars rate (and even cheaper). Raw food look also not so fresh. Some staff was a bit agitated.

Ulemper: The fact that people (including staff and contractors) smoked in non-smoking areas, and guests smoke inside the rooms.

Fordele: We really enjoyed holiday. Hotel bases on Russian, French and Polish clients. The food was various and enough for 4* hotel. We could get anytime big bottle of water or mineral water from bar. Beach towels are for free, only change is extra charged. In Djerba is normal to have sea grass in the water and on the beach as well but hotel cleaned it every day what was nice.

Ulemper: Beach towels are very small. Water in pool was very cold.

Fordele: It’s a 3* hotel. It was clean. Food ok. Drinks ok

Fordele: The food was excellent - very large variety of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was nearby and beautiful. Rooms are clean and kept clean on a daily basis. Taxis always available outside of the hotel and can't be arranged through the assistance of the hotel if necessary.

Ulemper: All the staff was nice except the people at the front desk (reception)…The way how they talk… they act like they doing your favor… Bad first impression … The rest of the staff was excellent I think better training for front desk staff will be better idea and good investment for the hotel

Fordele: Upgraded to a 2 bed amazing house even though I'm a solo traveller. Food excellent. Quiet. Clean. Reception really helpful. Beautiful setting and close to beach.

Ulemper: Restaurant staff not very informative or friendly.

Fordele: The facilities are great! The pool is amazing. Rooms are super spacious. Staff is super nice, especially Ahmed at the reception (best one)!!

Ulemper: We had to wait 2 hours to have some towels for the pool, which was a bit long, but other than that, great

Fordele: I visited Jerba 3 times, the first two times were in other hotels with high costs and services. I really found Jardins Toumana the best of 3 Hotels i visited. There is no huge selection of food like other buffet but for me was enough (6-8 arts of food, 10 Arts of Salad, 6 desserts). People there are quite, no parties, nice accommodation, simple and clean. Price is fair according to the service and the season. The staff Saleem, Ahmad, Jamel and Mounir, are very helpful and deserve all the best. Wifi not as required but i advice to buy a sim card Orange for 17 dt (5Eur) 1,25 GB. Or more if you want. Location is very good.

Ulemper: The man who works for maintenance doesn’t know how to restart an wifi connection. I think the hotel needs someone else.

Ulemper: Privacy of intrance to facility , you have to pass by beside a pool , where a people enjoyed thier meals .

Fordele: We had an excellent experience at this hotel . Upon our arrival the receptionist offered us a warm welcome with big smile and fresh lemonade. Then the room was beyond our expectations. Fully equipped and clean, the appartement also has an authentic traditional decoration and everything we might need. A special note about the breakfast which is varied and generous. We also indulged ourselves in amazing dinner by the pool. All in all we strongly recommand this hotel..

Fordele: Quiet hotel and one can break away from the hectic routine. Good value for money.

Ulemper: Wifi was not working on the first day but was rectified the next day. Signal is excellent in the room, but not in all parts of the hotel.

Fordele: Big and comfortable room, nice beach and constantly happy animation staff

Ulemper: Room could be much cleaner and staff is sometimes impolite. We expected more from the food (all the focus is on quantity)

Ulemper: We were a whole day without water throughout the hotel. They were not able to find any solution. We went to sleep with the salt of the beach Upon leaving the hotel we found our car damaged by a blow in the parking . After much insistence they refused to show us the security cameras and give us any kind of solution.

Ulemper: I did not like there is no internet connection in the room and you need to pay for it, another thing which is a standard now in every hotel is there is no kettle, coffee and tea in the room, I have asked for a kettle and kindly was provided one.

Ulemper: I stayed only one night, what I did not like was the Food for 1/2 accommodation ( Dinner), it was not in line with price/quality/quantity.

Fordele: we were not lucky about the weather (sand storm) this affected the cleanness of the swimming pool and the look of the sea But the location is very nice for sure you need your own car to enjoy Djerba
