The view of the ocean was spectacular. Location and beach access was great. The pool and the three hot tubs were very nice. The people staying in the room on top of ours. They woke up around 5 am and made too much noise.
Was very disappointed to find out that beach access was restricted due to the addition of hundreds of sharp rocks at base of stairs. No longer felt safe walking to beach with young infant in tow.
This place was awesome they upgraded me to an oceanfront view. The beach access is very convenient.
Rooms were clean, well appointed and recently renovated. I left my phone charger in the room. Staff committed to look into it with housekeeping and get back to me. It has been 6 days and I have not gotten the follow up promised.
The ocean view also included construction site. Our last visit was in August with my husband, he was ill but he enjoyed the view from our room, it was perfect. He passed away in November. This trip was meant as healing and remembering. I was so very disappointed in my stay.
Scenery & Wildlife!!! People in general, :)
Hotel staff was great... rooms where great and the view was amazing
Everything. From l, lovation, cleanliness, staff, view. Everything was amazing. There are a lot of hotels on the same street but this one looks and feels like a resort for a fair price. Defiantly going back!
Great location...Beautiful ocean views... Get an ocean view room or you room will feel a little bit dark & dreary.
View from our room was fabulous. The outdoor area beautiful with lots of seating and they had fires going morning and evening. Every person who worked there were happy to be of service. Continental breakfast was good and kept replenished. Will definitely stay again. Not really the hotel's fault but when tide is high you can't access beach from their stairs but you are able to walk a couple of streets over to access a public staircase.
The view was spectacular, and the hot tubs/pool/patios were excellent. Very relaxing evening by the ocean. The walls were a little thin, could hear the neighboring room's TV at 7am, and I do'n't think it was turned up very loud... So this really depends on who's next to you.
good hotel. ..nice room...good price!
I loved how friendly the staff were and the included accommodations. The room had lots of space and was clean and comfortable. I would definitely want to go back. Couldn't think of something to dislike.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were comfortable. Nice having something light to eat in the evening. Too close to freeway
Breakfast buffet Too close to highway
We've stayed at the Oxford Suites half a dozen times over the last 5 years while my daughter attended Cal Poly SLO. The rooms are very comfortable and the suites were great for 4 of us. The hot breakfasts and the nightly wine reception is an added bonus. The staff is great and any problems are dealt with promptly. Great value for the money and I would definitley recommend to anyone. nothing
I liked there was a bedroom and adjacent living room with a TV in both rooms. Location was good - right off 101. The breakfast was included, but very poor.
Loved the close proximity to the beach! No complaints here! Wifi not working too well
Very friendly staff, loved the close walk to the beach as well as the pool and hot tub.
The beach is at walking distance which is great. The wifi was not connecting and very slow when it would, loud neighbors, and the lights would sometimes not turn on.
There was no heat for our room..,freezing
Room was reasonably clean. Walking distance to the beach. Bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint and better lighting. Neighbors were loud.
Although the property is older it was clean and the location was fantastic. The value was awesome.
We liked the view of the beach from our room and the close proximity to the beach. This hotel is also very close to the pier and main shopping areas. The breakfast was pretty basic. I've stayed at lesser hotels that have a better breakfast than this hotel.
It was a great location. No food available arriving after 830.
We really enjoyed our stay. I booked this last minute while we were on a road trip up the coast. I liked how it was so close to the beach and we even considered staying another night. We had to keep going, but this place and the Pismo Beach area was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Bed was comfortable, lots of television channels. Very close to the water- you can walk right down to the beach. Great proximity to restaurants and shopping. Front desk staff was friendly and recommended a good place to eat. Not the most luxurious, but good for a vacation on a budget
The location was great. The first room they gave us was not what I consider an ocean view. It was more like the view of the hotel to the south, a palm tree and a sliver of an ocean view. I paid for a room with an ocean view. The second room was great. Full ocean view. Yay!
My wife and I really enjoyed our room and the oceanfront view! We were so close to the ocean we left the sliding glass door open all night and fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing and seeing the moonlight reflect off the ocean. The staff where very friendly and accommodating, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for great customer service and great views of the ocean without breaking your wallet! The seagulls can get pretty loud but that comes with the territory of being next to the ocean!
Perfect location, with amazing views right from our own balcony! The staff was very welcoming, polite, and efficient. I Not too much to say here.
The views were amazing. the grounds were very clean and well kept. staff was very nice and accommodating. it was a perfect get-away from the city. I booked the trip through Kayak but the hotel staff charged me for the stay when i checked in. i am still waiting for my refund from the hotel.
Great complimentary breakfast. Terrific outdoor games (badminton, putting green, ping pong, etc). Easy access to the beach.
My husband and I stayed at the suite for his birthday weekend. The suite was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bigger than what I expected....breakfast was amazing I will return the summer with my kids next time because it was very kid friendly. I requested partial view of the ocean but that may be misleading since I really didn't see the ocean view from my window
Very nice hotel, on a cliff top over beautiful Pismo beach.... The beach is easily accesible via a wooden stair structure shared by a couple more hotels... ( Lighthouse Suites is at the end of the line of hotels, so no neighbours wondering in front of your hotel rooms!) Great and helpful staff, in general a very joyful and relaxed atmosphere! Rooms are large (very much so) and clean, beds are comfy. Breakfast is, howeve,r not up to par.... Not bad to be honest, but just a few bread rolls, jam, butter, 3 types of fruit and yoghurt (coffee and orange juice too), are way far away from the promised "Continental breakfast"!! Plastic cuttlery and cups further support this case.
Shower head was pretty weak and old looking, but everything else was perfect.
bait and switch on the room. forced to pay additional to getary something liveable, no beach access contrary to advertising and even directions sinage on the property. Charged 2x what the room was worth
The grounds and the location are absolutely gorgeous. Their Oceanview garden is a wonderful place to read a book enjoy a coffee or take a short walk. The entire Oceanview building and much of the grounds are currently under construction and being refurbished. Our unit was totally out of date, smelled like cigarettes, the air mattress they gave us for our son to sleep on deflated in the middle of the night and it was just disappointing compared to the pictures we saw when we booked. The price was too much for what we got.
The room was very quiet - nice for a light sleeper like me.
good location, nice view over looking the ocean no air conditioning, room was very hot at night time.
Excellent facilities. Quiet.
The ocean view from our room was great. The rooms were comfortable and there was a restaurant right on the property that made it convenient. There was no continental breakfast included.
Beautiful view Outdated decorating
No air conditioning. How can you not have air conditioning. Also our phone in the room did not work and they could not fix it. What if there was an emergency. Not okay
My daughter and had a great stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the beds. Pillow could have been better. The hotel was very quire which made it easy to sleep. Check in and out was very smooth. Very friendly staff. The only down fall was the price. Our room was expensive with a ocean view, but there were many rooms with ocean frontage that were double the price. Beautiful facility, but I'm not sure if we'd stay again because of the price.
Nice room great location
Its a great location- it's right on the beach, and it had a nice area to relax with a beer and take in the sunset. It was a perfect place to stop while driving down route-1. Nothing
Location Kids in the hot tub after sunset
Loved the location! So close to everything I wanted to do and can't beat the amazing view! Will definitely be staying here again! N/A
Beach location, pool, restaurant. Not really.
The room we booked was better than we expected, lovely views, the bathroom was big with a his & hers sink. The staff were very nice too.
beautiful room and helpful staff, everything was top class, highly recommended nothing
The beach, sea views, restaurant, location, room.
Not much The hotel is run-of-the-mill commonplace. The design, decor, finishes and appointments are mediocre. There is substantial deferred maintenance that needs to be done. All aspects of the hotel are average-such a pity considering the cliffside location.
The view was amazing room was beautiful very good service
The Location and the pool area are beatifull The rooms facing the parking lot are noise
Top location, large rooms great facilities
location, view no hooks for robes, towels etc., no vanity mirror, all paper, plastic, styrofoam materials instead of reusable!
proximity to highway and beach The pillows were like Rocks. Bring your own!
The views No easy system to acces wifi at room; it looks kind old and some furnitures and the chairs at the terrace were broken.
The fireplace in the room is a nice touch. And the bed was extremely comfortable. I felt the price was a little too high, compared to a beautiful hotel we stayed in after this in San Francisco, which was a lot cheaper.
everything was wonderful from the rooms to the staff. excellent service, clean rooms with everything working, a lot to do in around the Motel.......our first of many stays.
Great location, with private beach access. Every room is facing the water and has a balcony so you have the most relaxing and amazing sunset/sunrise views. You're a short drive to the shell beach restaurants and to grover beach's downtown area with more great bars and restaurants. 10 minutes to the dunes. Highly suggested, we will definitely be back :)
Beach and facility itself Nothing
I thought by choosing the most expensive room on your site was paying for a beach view. I found out you can only reserve beach view rooms by calling directly the hotel. The rooms are extremely small, especially for the price. I would not stay there again.
Loved it! Private spa is clean and well maintained
Exchanged room to a room with a view, and extended stay by one night. A good getaway and convenient to pier and restaurants.
The hotel was wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub on our balcony and the fireplace in the room. The continental breakfast at our door was ok, I think the hotel could make it a little nicer by making it more 'home made'. Our only complaint would be on the second morning we had to call and ask when our breakfast would be delivered as it was almost noon when we called. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I am looking forward to coming again soon!
Stayed for a few days in October 2008. Can't wait to come back. We liked that the resort was in walking distance to the pier, shops and restaurants. Staff was very pleasant and was able to answer questions about the local area.
Amenities include private hot tub on each balcony; fireplace in every room; excellent beds and linens; right on Pismo Beach. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the bottle of Pinot Noir on arrival was a nice touch. There is a good gift shop area in the lobby with reasonable prices. The breakfast basket delivered to the door (order placed the night before) was fabulous, very well done, and what was supposed to be hot, was hot - for $5.00 - REALLY!
We love staying at the SeaVenture. It was our honeymoon hotel back in 1998, and we've been back several times. Being close to the beach is great, except when there's an event happening in downtown Pismo (get's noisy). Rooms are great for couples. Get a little cramped with families. Recommend the Lighthouse in that case...although you lose some convenience walking to the beach. The hot tub balconies are great. Ocean view is spectacular. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast in a basket is quite good. Great place to get away.
My husband made the reservations for my birthday. The room was nice I enjoyed the jucuzzi and the nice location. The only problem I encountered was the dining room was not available the weekend we stay at the SeaVenture. We had to leave the room when I had anticipated in staying in and enjoying a nice quiet evening. One positive thing occured from this inconvenience we had dinner at the 'CRACKED CRAB' which was totally satisfying. Good atmosphere, good food, excellent service, and a wonderful time!
Well, where do I start? We showed up at 3pm and were told that the room was not ready yet and that they would all us when it was ready. We sat out on the beach and had not heard from them by 4pm. We walked back to the hotel only to find out that they had just checked in the wrong ppl into our room, asked them to leave and then gave us the slightly used room with sand on the bed. Our room was not an ocean view, instead it was directly over an extremely dilapidated residence with a large barking dog and noisy residents. We are used to traveling a lot and would also say that the rooms are fairly small for a family. We most likely would not return here, but if you want to try it out I wouldn't stay in anything other than an ocean view. Throughout the trip the elevator was not working. My husband has a knee injury and carrying stuff up and down stairs was not helpful. I decided to relax in the tub, only to find no bathtub, only a shower. Yes, there is a hot tub on the balcony if you don't m...
I just stayed for one night on a weekday during a trip up the coast, and the SeaVenture was by far the most relaxing experience. The feather bed was divine, the view unmatchable, and the hot tub made the gloomy weather enjoyable. I would reccommend calling in to book an oceanview room, and to stay on a weekday or off season to avoid the noise and crowds. Loved the soaps too!
This is our favorite beach hotel so far!!! The hotel is small and cozy with the closest proximity to the ocean. Step out your door and your literally on the beach. Ocean view rooms are amazing, spent most of our time out on the balcony with the hot tub. Would recommend 100%!!!
A wonderful experience at the SeaVenture is always a guarantee. The spa deluxe room has everything a couple needs to have the most romantic vacation ever!! This is a favorite of my and my husband for our anniversary. The wonderful service and food is incomparable in the area. Not to mention the beautiful view of the pacific ocean. In room jacuzzi, plush robes, and the daily continental breakfast delivered to our door! It really doesn't get better than this for your dollar. We would recommend the SeaVenture to any couple young or old for the best romantic stay on the Central Coast.
afterwards, actually nothing The font desk personal. This (approximately 25 years old, a little obese) (wearing his yellow shirt at least for 3 consecutive days) guy was extremely unfriendly and rude. He could not find our reservation (made through booking.com), did not want to assist us in helping us to accommodate. All floors were dirty, the pool was overcrowded, the breakfast room to small by far for this amount of people staying overnight at this motel. Finally our credit card has been charged by an additional 77 US Dollars, for reasons we don´t know.
Good basic hotel. Fit our needs for one night. Breakfast was better than expected. Older hotel, could use remodeling.
Location was convenient Generrally shabby condition, AC controls didn't work right - no fan only setting
We visit Pismo several time each year. We love Quality Inn. The service is great! The location is great!. Unfortunately we had a family upstairs from us that allowed their children to start running around and jumping up and down around 6:00 in the morning. We know it was not your fault, however it was impossible to sleep.
The staff were very helpful and friendly Carpet seemed dirty. People lurking around the hotel doors, didn't seem safe.
Fair price for a last minute weekend reservation Hear through walls. Close to highway.
It was very close to everything. 10 minutes to beach, 10 minutes to wine country. a walk away from shopping.
close to beach Bathroom very small and tile missing on floor. Stained bath mat.Ref. turned up to coldest setting and didn't keep ice in freezer. My bags of ice turned to water. Food I put in for restaurant was not cold couldn't eat it,it spoiled. Batteries in remote were low and had trouble changing to other stations. It was not worth $100.00
Most comfortable bed, great staff, and awesome waterfall hot tub
Clean and good value for money. As a party of 3 adult males, we required 3 seperate beds. Our experience of most hotels on our stay in the usa has been that they are willing and able to provide "rollaway" beds on request to facilitate this. At the Quality Inn Pismo beach we were told they didn't have rollaways, so two of us had to "top and tail" in the same bed, not ideal.
Comfort of the room including the beds was great. Great pillows. Included fridge and microwave were nice. And the heated outdoor pool and hot tub were glorious after a long day on the road. Free breakfast was great as well. Cleanliness could have been a little better but that is being picky. I can not expect more when I'm only paying 30$ over motel 6 and having much more amenities than that roach infested place. I still highly recommend this hotel. And it is now my favorite and I plan to keep staying here in my future travels.
Very cute inn. Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.
The room we where offered was unacceptable by many levels. First, when we checked in, the guest before us where offered beverages for some reason and not my partner and I. Second, the room we where located at, was also right next to the location in which other clients walk in and out of the building. there where two doors in order to inter the hotel, and you can clearly hear both doors slam as customers walk in throughout the night. Third, the room was nasty. There where white crust blops in the room on the carpet, mini fridge. Fourth, there where ants in the bathroom floor as soon when we arrived. My partner an I have had a cleaner experience sleeping in a tent, and what the hilton offered us was unacceptable. I have pictures to prove all that I have stated.
Large clean, newer rooms no jacuzzi
Everywhere you look you find amazement at the decor Fun and entertaining. The staff are most accommodating! Great getaway!
Nothing worth mentioning. Almost non existence service, rude staffs other than the couple at the registration counter. The room has no curtains or shades, except stained glass window. The lights are so bright outside, making it impossible to sleep at night! The heater in the room is extremely loud. The place is so poorly insulated and drafty, that you don't have any choice but to turn it on in winter. This place is a over priced motel coated in pink.
Exceptional spa service by Melissa and an overall state of mind that is total relaxation. Absolutely loved it. Nothing to dislike
Unique character , nice location, friendly staff.. Having Mount Madonna so close by to be able to hike or jog up in the morning was great. Also very nice pool area. Restaurant and café very good. All in all a good value. A little dated
There are li me 200+ rooms to stay in and each one has a different theme to them! The foods is great and the overall feel of this place is comfort! The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was a little burnt but that is the first time eating breakfast there...I just hope it was a fluke!
located in very veatuful small town. Very close to the beach and ocean. peaceful
Very convenient location, didn't use our car the whole time we were there, just walked everywhere we wanted to go. Room was clean. Housemaids were very friendly. Complimentary breakfast is just store bought unwrapped muffins and cereal in the front office. AIr conditioning would crap out occasionally but was mostly during the day and late at night when you'd expect to be gone or asleep, felt like intentional programming to keep their costs down. Don't expect to drink from the tap, it tastes funky.
The beds were very comfy and it was so close to the beach and shopping. Only 5 minutes from the beach. The room was kind of small, looking at the picture it seemed bigger, but we made it work. There was no elevator also.
this motel was very handy, room was nice, 2 big queen size beds which were comfy. facilities in the room were good. would need a car to get to the beach/town though location was alright but would need a car to get around
Lost my reservation .
Feet from the beach. No smoke alarm. It was ON THE BEACH. NO COMPLAINTS.
Excellent beach location. Literally, this is it. Everything else was terrible from the actually facility to the staff. Staff did not have my reservation through booking.com. If they didn't have vacant rooms I would've been out of luck. I booked the reservation over a month in advance, and since it was somehow lost by the hotel we got a room "under construction", which meant no door knob/lock on the bathroom, no closet to hang clothes, no smoke detector, no table to set things on. The manager on duty didn't apologize for the construction and said she was informing is so we didn't complain later. This is a joke of a motel run by people concerned only with taking your money and not keeping your business. I will never go back again.
Office is only open from 8a-8p, every time i went in during business hours, no one was even there. Because of my late arrival/check-in, I found my room key taped to the office door. My room had no remote, there was no one there I could ask for one. It was a 2 night stay, the following day, I had the "please make up room" sign up, and room was never serviced. I wouldn't recommend.
My friends and I stayed at the Avenue Inn after driving through Big Sur. We arrived after 10 pm and were greeted by Saul, who showed us to our room and gave some excellent dinner recommendations for late at night. The room was in great condition (newly renovated) and very comfortable for 4 adults to sleep in. Saul helped us in the morning by providing additional towels and helped with checkout as well. Overall we were very happy! Nothing - 100% would stay here again.
Access to walking to all areas downtown. Easy access in parking. Quiet.
Great service, location, beds and showers!
close to everything the breakfast
Smallish room, but it was quiet, clean and comfy.
