a great place to unwind and relax..excellent food and room...I will return!!!
One of the most relaxing and scenic hotel stays I've experienced. There are only 10 rooms in the entire resort so you feel like you have a beautiful retreat all to yourself.
I like the peace of this hotel I don't like the food, the dinner menu is very small
Great location and wonderful accomodations---I had paid a little more for upgrade which was well worth the view. Some staff members were less than helpful to say the least. However, other members of the staff provided excellent service. Housekeeping service was inconsistent. Did not have coffee pack refresh for in-room coffee on 2 of the 4 days of my stay. When I asked the concierge for coffee packets I was basically told to wait a few hours. However, I traceded down a cleaning person who was very helpful. There was no gym on site yet gym was advertised online.
Awesome staff, serene area Pool could use a serious cleaning
The hotel and landscape was absolutely beautiful. We loved the infinity pool, and the lights at night are really pretty. Despite the fact that the staff seemed to outnumber the guests, the service was pretty horrible. The staff was nice, but were slow and provided the bare minimum in terms of service. At check-in, we were given no information about the hotel (i.e. Wifi password, information about any amenities, or where to go to sightsee etc). Several times we went to the front desk for help and the reception was locked and no one was there, despite it being their business hours. Pool towels are not in a spot where you can grab them as needed - had to go the front desk to get them and when we did, it was once again closed so we walked around the hotel getting water everywhere. Supposedly our stay included two free drinks, the tickets for which were suppose to be in our room, but of course we're not there. When we did get our complimentary drinks, it turned out not to include anything worth drinking. Bed was squeaky, and there wasn't even a television in the room. Restaurant hours were ridiculous, considering it's suppose to be a resort. At night, all the staff leave, so there's absolutely no one there if you need help or an emergency happens, which is pretty crazy considering how isolated it was. Our last breakfast there, we had two people waiting on us, and the service was still horrible. We were trying to catch the ferry, and asked for the check early, before the food came out, so we could catch our taxi. We got the bill 10 minutes after we finished eating anyhow. The only thing the staff was good at was reminding us of he rules of the hotel. Most of the time they were slow and too busy talking to each other to be helpful. Really not sure why this place is allowed to call itself a resort. I imagine the owner of this hotel is never there, otherwise this service wouldn't fly. The hotel has a lot of potential, but at the moment, the only thing the it has working in its favor is a beautifully constructed hotel and a nice infinity pool.
Views and grounds were amazing. Kitchen, bar and waitstaff went out of there way to be friendly and accomodating Front desk staff did not give a warm feeling and did not make you feel particularily welcome. They were the one blemish on the resort.
The lack of TV's and laid back environment including the infinity pool. Resort prices for food and drink were very high.
Grounds, beauty of location, staff friendliness, seclusion Hot water very inadequate: long time to come on and fluctuates. Room AC inadequate: felt from cool to warm walking within room, even after many hours of operation. Access to room at late hours (past 10:00PM) or to exit room area early in the morning (5:00AM or earlier) required climbing over locked fence. For people returning from Biobay tour or departing early for 6:00AM ferry back to Puerto Rico mainland, this was a major inconvenience, especially if carrying luggage..
