Fordele: Værelset er godt indrettet og meget comedienne. Personalet er venligt og hjælpsomt. smukt godt indrettet i den gamle hotel med moderne bekvemmeligheder.

Ulemper: Service i restauranter var en smule sporatic. Vandtryk i bruseren lidt svag. Ingen check ud på tv, og i person check-out var langsom.

Fordele: The Hotel is placed in the main square of Athens (Syntagma), in front of the parliament and 3 minutes walking distance from the shopping area and from the historical part of the town. Within 15 minutes walking there is the Stadium Panathinaiko as well athe Acropolis, Agora and museums. The Hotel is located within an historical building, with three restaurants, including one on the 8th (top) floor with a spectacular view on the Parthenon and Acropolis. The Spa as well as the internal, heated swimming pool is very nice, also coupled with an efficient beauty saloon. Breakfast is served on the restaurant on 8th floor, and offers a wide variety of traditional or continental breakfast with the possibility to have more elaborated choices. The rooms (we had a room on the 5th floor, also named as Butler floor) which was a suite, equipped with two TVs, a large Queen bed and a very large bathroom, with Shower and bath. The service is always punctual. A note of merit to the concierge who helped us with many request, always providing an excellent service and suggestions

Fordele: Location was perfect-right in the middle of a great safe area to be in. It was convenient to good restaurants and the historical sights in Athens. Wonderful place to stay. It was a real treat for us.

Ulemper: There wasn't anything I didn't like. I was pleased with staff, location, and room. Restaurant on top was beautiful with excellent service. We went up to rooftop for cocktails, and there was an amazing view.

Fordele: Great location, helpful staff, excellent dining options. The rooftop restaurant has a wonderful view of the acropolis!

Fordele: The hotel has an amazing restaurant with great food, and a view of the Acropolis. It is also well situated, and isn't too far from many tourists sites or the airport. The food was amazing too!

Ulemper: The hotel doesn't have a fitness centre and you need to use the one next door. It's quite uncomfortable, especially for late night workout sessions.

Fordele: Location is excellent - close to many tourist attractions and shops.

Ulemper: Value for money....no. there are hotels that are about as good in better locations for half the cost.

Fordele: Ny og føles skærekant. God beliggenhed lige i hjertet af alt. Airconditionanlægget på værelserne fungerer godt på varme sommerdage.

Ulemper: Den måde, hvorpå hotellet er nyt og banebrydende føles, som om det blev sat sammen meget hurtigt, og om et par år vil det ikke være så rart. Bruserne ser ud til at lække vand over hele badeværelset. Servicen på restauranten/baren på taget er middelmådig.

Ulemper: Udsigten fra vores værelse svarede ikke til beskrivelsen for værelses vi havde booket. Vi forventede at der var fuld udsigt til Acropolis men vi kikkede delvis ud på naboens skillevæg og baggårde og kunne kun ane Acropolis.

Fordele: Amazing location. Very professional staff. Beautiful hotel, amazing rooftop view, great spa facilities, luxurious rooms/bathrooms (and spacious), clean

Ulemper: The rooftop restaurant is terrible! The view is incredible. The food there is as bad as it gets. Take in the view during the free breakfast; the meals they serve there at all other times is not worth paying for (it is disgusting, masquerading as "haute cuisine" The spa is nice but lacks any written guidelines to ensure guest tranquility. Letting children use the spa and having no rules relating to that can ruin the experience for other guests. Kids shouldn't be in the hot tub/heated pool area unsupervised. Nor should they be learning how to swim or doing water tricks. It's supposed to be peaceful. Children shouldn't ruin experience for other guests. We couldn't use sauna or steam room because it was overrun with young kids. I have no problem with children but the lack of any rules or restrictions as it pertains to the spa is really problematic at Electra Metropolis. as a result my enjoyment of facilities was extremely limited.

Fordele: Breakfast was very good. The Spa massages was very good. Location is very central. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Fordele: The hotel is in the superb and the classy part of the city. All around are full with nice cafes and restaurants. Easy walking distance to all main locations of the city. 5 minutes walking distance to Metro station. The room we stayed was very clean, large, and had a modern design. Staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Ulemper: The hotel is different. On street level you enter a shop selling mattresses, pillows Not easy to recognize that it s a hotel entrance. Then you go down one floor to find a reception desk. The hotel doesn't have a lobby, which I didn't like. The breakfast area is also in the same floor with reception, that is floor -1 and is small and tight and a bit dark. I would much prefer to have that excellent breakfast in the roof (airy and bright), instead of basement. Our room was big, with high ceilings, with modern design, but somehow not so handy. Our bathroom was dark too.

Fordele: Excellent staff and facilities. The beds in the rooms are an extra bonus.

Fordele: Breakfast was one of the best I had in hotels. The variety was just amazing. The staff was great as well. I enjoyed my stay there.

Ulemper: Although I did not spend much time in my room, I missed a daylight. It is a pity they change you the towels even if you don't place them in the special basket for dirty towels.

Fordele: Nice location, close to tube station but would find another property due to the below.

Ulemper: I stayed at this property in October 2019 for 7 nights and I would advise anyone looking to book this property to strongly avoid. We checked in as 4 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 7 around 5pm on the 20th October. We went straight out to dinner that evening after a long flight, and then back to the hotel at 9pm and straight to bed. The following morning, the maid came to clean the room; she went straight to the bathroom and immediately accused us of making extensive damage to the bathroom door. This wasn’t simple damage; the whole of the bathroom framing had come off. I made it very clear we had just checked in, and this damage was already there; I asked them to check all the bins so they could see what we hadn’t disposed of any bathroom framing given we literally checked in. During the course of the week, the Manager kept on accusing us despite us being clear it wasn’t us and the staff became incredibly rude and aggressive to the point where my parents became scared to stay alone in the hotel room (70 years plus). There was only one decent reception man who told us he believed we didn’t make the damage and that it was already there. Their accusations ruined our holiday as they said they would charge us 500 euros. We were then told that the matter was closed, that they do not hold our bank details on file and no further charges would be made. We returned home, and they had charged us £85 for this damage. I contacted them to ask them why they charged us and they are refusing to reply. I have complained via booking.com and also my bank who are treating this as fraud and have subsequently cancelled my bank card. This is very time consuming and stressful, and not what you want after a holiday. I would strongly avoid this hotel, and if you decide to still book, ensure at the time of checking in, you go around with the reception staff and take pictures of each and every room so you cannot be accused of causing damage you did not make. Fordele: Super venligt personale. Vores lejlighed var stor og havde alt hvad vi skulle bruge inklusive vaskemaskine med sæbe og opvaskemaskine med tabs. Vi havde en stor lækker altan, hvorfra vi kunne nyde solnedgangen. Rundt om hjørnet ligger en fin bager, hvor der kan hentes morgenbrød og der er også et lille supermarked tæt på.

Ulemper: Kvarteret er ikke særlig spændende, så man skal tage andre steder hen for at spise, men da metroen ligger 2 minutter fra ejendommen, er det ikke noget stort problem.

Fordele: Good size apartment for family

Ulemper: Male front of house seemed a little distant and unhelpful. Female front of house was lovely and answered any questions. Didn’t want to ask the male as felt as though we were bothering him. Gym is small and pool has a good view.

Fordele: Spacy and well-equipped place.

Ulemper: More coffee capsules should be provided.

Ulemper: We had few problem in the hotel First of all few day’s before we arrive I got an email that I didn’t book the breakfast So I have order it but the hotel doesn’t have a kitchen and he is order it in I was not told and didn’t use this service but the hotel didn’t refund me on it Second thing was the parking the slop is very high and we needed the hotel support to take the car out of the parking The last issue that we had in the hotel was there was cleaning the room every day they just order the beds We need to ask to replace the towels

Fordele: Hotellet er pænt, rent og moderne. Vi havde en 2-værelses lejlighed med 2 toiletter, 2 separate soveværelser, 2 altaner. Køkkenet var veludstyret med både ovn, kogeplader, mikroovn og opvaskemaskine. Desuden også en fin vaskemaskine. Alt fungerede upåklageligt - også aircon og WIFI. Poolen på taget var fin - ikke stor, men med flot udsigt over byen og Akropolis. Området er slidt og rodet - men ligner en stor del af resten af Athen. Der ligger en metrostation lige om hjørnet, som vi brugte bl.a. til at komme ind til Syntagma-pladsen. Det fungerede rigtig godt. Der er ikke de store indkøbsmuligheder i området omkring hotellet (og supermarkeder holde lukket om søndagen) Hotellet kan fint anbefales, og vi kommer gerne igen, hvis vi en dag kommer til Athen.

Ulemper: Elevatoren virkede ikke i de tre dage, vi var der. Så rengøringen kunne ikke komme hverken op eller ned mellem etagerne. Vi fik derfor ikke gjort rent.

Fordele: Fantastisk stor lejlighed, 3 værelser med dobbelt senge, aircondition, stort køkken og stue. kæmpe terrasse. hjælpsomt personale. Hotellet hjalp os med personlig transport fra og til lufthavn. Udsigt fra tagterassen. 100 meter fra metro station(5 dags kort koster 9 euro)

Ulemper: En renovering af swinmmingpool er nødvendig(mange mosaik sten er faldet af). Men vi brugte den dog mange gange. Rengøring ved pool kunne være bedre.

Fordele: location is perfect, the view is fabulous, especially at the top of the building and in the poor. the staff is really friendly and helpful. They take a really good care of you.

Ulemper: the bath room is a bit smaller, and the bath is not designed good, i mean the water position when you take shower can be easily changed.

Fordele: Pleasant staff, who has meet us with warm. Location is perfect, at rooftop nice view to the Acropolis. Also in the neighborhood there are a lot of spots to visits. Restaurants, bars, cafes, souvenir shops - everything is here.

Ulemper: Der stank af cigaretrøg inde på vores værelse om morgenen og om aftenen. Når man har gået rundt i en forurenet storby hele dagen, så er det sidste man har brug for cigaretrøg inde på selve værelset.

Fordele: Fantastisk hotel i gammel herskabsbolig. Fantastisk beliggenhed lige i Plaka, tæt på alt.

Fordele: Nice stylish hotel almost like a B&B near the Acropolis. Rooms were big and the location is great for checking out the city.

Fordele: Everything was perfect. The breakfasts on the attic with a wonderful view. A lot of shop and restaurants just a few steps outside. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was very clean. The perfect stay for 3 days visit in Athens

Ulemper: The bathroom in the single room it was very small, especially the sink but non a big deal.

Ulemper: The breakfast buffet wasn't ideal... BUT the hotel offered us to choose from an egg menu that they were cooked right at that moment and they were absolutely delicious!

Fordele: Very friendly staff. Amazing views from the 8th floor restaurant. Close to all the sites and the train station.

Ulemper: There is a one way road in front of the property that is very narrow and traffic moves very slow. Take the train, not a cab to the airport on the weekends.

Fordele: Suiten har flot udsigt til Akropolis med stor balkon. Der var en flot pool med bar, men den lukkede ved solnedgangstid kl.7 og til vores ærgrelse også poolbaren, som havde flot udsigt mod solnedgangshimlen (men der kunne man så ikke være, for så åbnede restauranten, sagde de, men der er kun få udendørs borde mod udsigten, og de er kun til spisende.)

Ulemper: Ikke nogen følelse af et 5-stjernet hotel, hvor man burde føle sig velkommen og høfligt imødekommet, passer bedre til 4 stjerner. Upersonligt, institutionsaftigt mht. personale, særligt i restauranten og barerne. Classic dobbeltværelse er ikke spændende, og suiten var ikke så flot som på bookings fotos, og ikke praktisk indrettet med seng og skabe separat uden plads til kufferter, som så måtte rode i stuen. Meget kedelig, spartansk sofa (måske en sovesofaseng?). Trænger til en dygtig indretningsarkitekt. Dårlig morgenmad, mange ting men kun croissanter og snegle var gode, frisk juice var bitter. Savnede en 'manual' til hotellet på værelset. Ikke så tæt på Akropolis i gåafstand som forventet af angivelserne.

Ulemper: I requested in advance down pillows, that I needed because of my neck condition, and surprisingly (as a five stars hotel...) They did not have any...

Fordele: Godt hotel men 5 stjerner er lige i overkanten, 4 er mere berettede. Små værelser, men generalt fint hotel der ligger godt. Dejlig udendørs pool.

Fordele: The hotel was advised by my Greek colleagues in NL. The hotel is situated in the area Plaka in the city centre of Athens. Walking distance from all the beautiful and historic highlights. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent beds. Compliments for the professional and very friendly people of the hotel. Very supportive and helpful. The roof bar gives and excellent view on the Acropolis and the centre of Athens. Breakfast and closing the day in this room was amazing. We had a great time!

Fordele: The location is perfect. Very convenient. You can go to Kolonaki, or Pagkrati to all the nice bars and restaurants, without the need to take a car or taxi.

Ulemper: The room was not so big, and my personal opinion is that could be better in terms of decoration. There was also a fried food smell from the nearby restaurants, it was not possible to sit outside in the balcony.

Fordele: Spectacular Views of the Acropolis from my room and the Rooftop Bar/Restaurant. Great Olympic Sized Pool, exceptional Gym and Spa. The Executive Level Rooms were well worth it, with the included access to the Exec Lounge and dedicated Desk.

Ulemper: Food was expensive at rooftop restaurant but well worth it - the same cannot be said for breakfast - €35/head is astronomical for a buffet breakfast that was average.

Fordele: Spacious room with balcony and Akropolis monument view. On the one of top floors there is restaurant and bar with terrace also with view on Akropolis. Room and hotel at all was clean. Staff was kind and willing to help with any request. Hotel is loacated just few MRT stops from ancient and nowadays centre as well so getting there by a walk and back to the hotel in not a long distance.

Ulemper: Hotel staff tried to walk into my room at the end of my stay first through the main door and then through an adjoining room door. My room was never called and they never asked if I was still in the room. All of this occurred while I was trying to shower.

Ulemper: - vi reserverede et dobbeltværelse og tilføjede "dobbeltseng" i vores anmodning, men af en eller anden grund blev det ikke kommunikeret til hotellet (for mange mæglere?) - så vi fik et værelse med 2 enkeltsenge. Hotellet var fuldt og kunne ikke ændre vores værelse. Sørg for at e-maile hotellet direkte efter reservationen!

Fordele: Stedet kan ikke slås. Du befinder dig lige midt i de fleste af de største attraktioner. The breakfast was very good.

Ulemper: Bruseren var lidt lille på mit værelse, og sengen var lidt for hård, men bortset fra det, så var det et fremragende hotel.

Ulemper: Air-condition is not working due to a little cold outside, I can understand that we have to open the window to let the cold come inside but a lot of noise, some mosquito or small insect come inside also that I can't sleep too much.

Fordele: Morgenmad rigtig godt, godt udvalg, og der manglede aldrig noget. Beliggenhed super, kan næsten ikke fås bedre, hvis man vil bruge og kan lide cityliv, samt tæt på flere store seværdigheder.

Fordele: Very nice staf!!! Cleaning my room every day great breakfast. Very close to the city center next to the sintagma square

Fordele: The location was excellent, walking distance from most sights and with good view of the parliament building from our rooms and the acropolis from the rooftop terrace. The staff were very helpful, especially the barman working over Christmas, and the receptionist who checked us in on arrival. The hotel was very cosy, quiet and relaxed.

Ulemper: No negative comments - we loved it and plan to come back again!

Fordele: Breakfast was good.

Ulemper: No power sockets near night stands for charging mobile devices. Light switches with no function. No heating in bathroom (unpleasantly cold!). WIFI was embarrassing slow, barely 2mb down and up - not able to connect to any home services through tablet (watching some Netflix at night).

Fordele: Outstanding breakfast. Perfect location - close to transportation and neighborhood packed with restaurants.

Fordele: The room was great. I was bumped up to a deluxe king, and the apartment was hue and everything was nice. Bed was great, bathroom was large with good toiletries, although it had a shower/tub combo. I didn't want to leave the room!

Ulemper: The hotel is a bit out of the way, the neighborhood isn't the greatest.

Ulemper: price gouging. a can of coke 7.50 Euro which equates to 11 Canadian dollars. 10.50 euro for a san pellegrino 250ml bottle which is $15 cdn I appreciate they have a captive audience but this is obscene

Fordele: The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The location was perfect and if your room is on the back side of the hotel you are somewhat sparred the street traffic.

Ulemper: The beds were not comfortable they were terribly hard. Though the floor was designated non smoking the room smelled of cigarettes day and night. The temperature controls were impossible to set to a comfortable temperature. The food was average at best.

Fordele: location, friendly service, amazing views from the restaurant. I travel a lot and when I'm in Athens I always stay at the Athens Gate, for me it's the best hotel in Athens

Fordele: The view from the rooftop, the service in the restaurant, and breakfast was good too.

Ulemper: Noices during the night and morning, housekeeping cleaning room was at the front of my room and you could hear everything the housekeeping did in that room. Room 510, is not a quite room as described during my check in.

Ulemper: In short: I've been mistakenly charged for a canceled booking; for an active one I've been pre-charged 40% more than the actual cost of stay; the staff was reluctant to deal with these issues; in the end I've been refunded but treated like a pesky customer without any apology or recognition of the property's fault. Situation: - Two months prior I had canceled one booking and made a new one in this hotel. - Three weeks prior to my arrival I was pre-charged for the canceled booking. - For two weeks the property didn't respond to messages sent through booking.com while their page claims 15-hour average response time. I decided to address the issue once I'm in the hotel. - Upon my arrival we've established that there was an issue on the side of the hotel. For some reason their internal system still had my second booking while it had been canceled on booking.com for two months by that point. - Once we've established there was an issue with the property's internal system, they were still reluctant to refund the cancellation charge claiming that it is their policy although the booking.com confirmation email stated 100% free cancellation. - To get my money back it took two days and my outspoken intention to report to the local government agency overseeing the tourism industry. - The property have neither admitted their fault nor provided any kind of an apology.

Fordele: Superb staff, incredible views, and wonderful service. It really makes you feel as if you're home while in Athens. Next time we're back in Athens, we'll be staying here.

Fordele: Wonderful views of Acropolis the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Athens. Very modern and clean, great beds and bathrooms. Staff as helpful as could be. And just steps from the Plaka and Acropolis.

Ulemper: So many Americans....oh well, we are too. Perfect if you want to be in a familiar, uber-western style environment.

Fordele: Very good location, very helpful and friendly stuff. Nice and comfortable room.

Ulemper: The beautiful view is on the noisy side but we stayed at the back on a small nice street.

Fordele: Super fast and efficient check in and check out. Extremely friendly staff and great hotel

Fordele: If you walk up the hill you come to one of the main squares where access to everything is easy. Staff helped with travel advice, recommending attractions etc. Clean spacious basic rooms.

Ulemper: Hotel is very close to a particularly rough part of athens. Poor drainage of wetroom meant water leaked into bedroom (staff made aware).

Fordele: Beliggenheden var perfekt og tæt på metro. Væreslet havde super udsigt og var hyggeligt og praktisk med gode faciliteter. Personalet var meget hjælpsomme og imødekommende.

Ulemper: Morgenmaden var ikke så spændende. Hotellets omkringliggende gader var lidt skumle, det var derfor ikke et område man eksperimenterede for meget i. Dog, var metroen tæt på, så man kunne hurtigt komme ind i centrum.

Fordele: The staff was very polite. The bed was very confortable and we also liked the room setup and modern facilities like automatic strollers, light ajustment and extra info on the TV and tablet.

Fordele: This hotel is 300m from Omonoia Metro station. That is a Metro hub. Very convenient location. Rainshower is good. Fresh orangejuice at breakfast. Coffee from the machine was good. Nice view from the roof.

Ulemper: The rooms are to small. The main reason is the 2m x 2m bed. This takes away space to walk or to stand. The smartroom is operated by a tablet. Not the best experience. Breakfast is not a feast. Hairs in the bathroom. Staff shows it is just a job...
