The rooms were nicer than many that I have stayed in when in Las Vegas. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The restaurant choices were limited - a sports bar, a steak house, a "cafe" with food that hat been sitting forever, and the grossly overpriced buffet. Unless one likes king crab legs (which we don't), the rest of the food was mediocre quality. I've had much better food at my local Luby's for 1/4 of the cost. There is really no where else to go around the casino to eat.
Some of the hotel staff was very friendly. The first girl I spoke to acted as if it was a burden to answer any of my questions. I just thought id be getting more for a "superior suite." The room was an hour and a half late getting ready, I was nearly late to my friends wedding because of it. Overall experience was not impressed

The bed was very comfortable. Modern stylish design. New development around the hotel. Service. Food/drink prices. Breakfast buffet was sub standard and greatly overpriced. Nothing within safe walking distance.

Really great on the first night. We had the pool to ourselves. It got a bit crowded after that but understandably since it was the holiday weekend. The room was impeccable. The front desk, maid, luggage handler, and all phone reps were beyond friendly. I wish I had gotten their names for praise to the managers. Especially considering how busy they must of have been for the holiday, they went above and beyond. The view from our room (river) was perfect and the fireworks show from the pool deck gave me chills! The restaurant staff... Let's see. I placed a breakfast order to go about an hour before they stopped serving on July 4. All staff was wonderful, and I have no complaints. They went above and beyond. While the food was good (lacking much flavor, but cooked okay), the service got them a 30% tip on a to go order. On July 5, I dined alone and ordered the buffet. My 'server' must have partied a bit too hard the night before. All she served me - without me having to ask - was the check, which she brought as soon as I got my food, right after I had to ask for my first water a second time. The buffet had a nice spread, but I guess she assumed that since she didn't have to serve my food, I wouldn't need service at all. I had to ask for refills twice more. She got a 10% tip, and I should have just given that directly to the busser. I was confused about the pool. They gave all of these rules about passes for guests, with it being the 4th. So, I followed the rules and turned 4 people away (my parents and their two out of town friends) from watching with us at the pool. During the show, we were surrounded by loud, obnoxious people NOT WEARING THE 'REQUIRED' WRIST BANDS. if they're going to set restrictions, they should stick to them. Obviously those who don't follow, will also tend to be disrespectful to those around them. Also, not the hotel's fault, I blame parents... The kids were in the pool ALL DAY splashing everyone. I know my mom wouldn't have stood for that. And maybe they should have someone by the pool making sure that all guests can enjoy the amenities, rather than just the children and the parents who used the pool as included childcare. Also, I found out later that the free buffet that was to be for paying guests was in the lobby and the staff said free food from 7-9. We all assumed it was by the pool since the wrist bands were for the pool area. So, we missed out on that and paid for the pool deck food, which was okay.
great downtown Baton Rouge location My room had no cold water, only hot. And the buttons did not work on the telephone.
Loved the location, ease of getting around downtown BR, Live after Five was awesome. Need new pillows. Had a great time.
The rooms were clean with attractive, fresh decor and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooms were rather small.
Check in was a breeze, valet and bellboy were SUPER helpful. We even got some great recommendations for that night and for future visits from staff. The lobby was stunning! After check out, we left our baggage with concierge at the front of the lobby to continue our morning exploring without being weighed down. Overall, great visit! Comfortable beds, clean, nice accomodations. We didn't like being surprised by the $50 valet charge at check out!

The crown plaza is a nice hotel. Older but nice You cannot go outside without someone on the sidewalk wanting money, cigs, food.....something. I had one person start cursing me because I wouldn't give him anything.
Location My room was not clean properly...a pair of dirty women underwear were hanging on my bathroom door. The bed had stains on the sheets and the room smelled. I will not stay at this hotel again!!!
Gorgeous, clean, affordable Nothing
The location is great for events downtown. I like to walk, and the central location is nice. Staff was really friendly. We were there for a show at the Saenger which was just a couple blocks away. I would stay there again I didn't like the parking setup. I don't know where the garage was, and you have to stop right on the very busy Canal street and valet. It was pretty much a zoo in front of the hotel the whole time~ But again, the staff was helpful and friendly
Loved the location for access to some basic stores (CVS, Walgreens), street car, Bourbon street. The AC didn't work in my room. Temperature started it was 75,thermostat was set to 65...but it was warm and muggy .called front desk to get it fixed, but no one came. Other that that, the stay was great.
I like the staff and the location and restaurant. The rooms are a good size with no real frills. I have stayed here 3 times and I think it is a good value for the price you pay. The concierge was not very helpful and in fact he was unhelpful as he gave me bad information about dress code for a restaurant and he really doesn't seem to enjoy his job like he should. It is a busy hotel so it can take a while to get a response from the front desk.

Nice access to riverfront, good access to downtown, easy to get to the non traffic side of LSU campus. Staff was friendly. Investors in this hotel have apparently decided to mine this property and get what they can out of it without putting anything back. The rooms need updating badly, decor is old, beds old, carpet stained and torn. No HD TVs, old decor, dingy. You can tell it was a once proud property that is now just playing it out till the end. It will soon be another victim of poor ownership, poor management and lack of foresight. Its on a train track, so you will get a nice wake up call every morning.
Location was convenient Room smelled like cigarettes even though it was "smoke free." I have asthma and there was nothing they could do about it. Not to mention there was cigarette burns on the bedside table and in the curtains. The Internet was extremely slow and the TV was at least 15 years old.

Gated parking. There must have been a group of 40-50 individuals crowded around the front entrance while checking in, cars parked blocking traffic waiting to pick up employees. Later in evening, cops were called to break up the crowd. The employees seemed to have zero leadership and were there for a paycheck, when questions where asked to them the answers were short and rude. Once checked in, bathroom was dirty, hair and used dental floss on walls, mold appears to be around the top base of showers.

You can walk to river center, levee, 3rd street, bars & restaurants. The hotel breakfast is great and shuck's restaurant was good. Bathrooms are disgusting and small. There is mold on old tile and spots on the ceiling. First room we were given was full of smoke & had to change rooms. Walls & carpeting need updating.

Nothing The smell of this hotel is horrendous. When you enter the lobby, there is a smell that attacks your nostrils. This place needs a thorough cleaning and an overall update. The staff is lazy and always have to be searched for. They sit around and chat as if they have not work to do. Security is a joke. I would never stay here again.
The staff was friendly and helpful The place was gross. Just dirty everywhere. Our room had stains on the walls and furniture. The bathroom was moldy and nasty with other folks hairs of all kinds, stains all over the bathroom, dust on the Kleenex box and hair dryer that also had hairs on it. Hairs on the "clean" towels. Broken light fixtures with the broken piece just leaning against the wall. The bathroom door handle was disgusting, stained with splashes of something and sticky. The shower was nasty with mold, hair, and lime rust all over the shower head. The popcorn ceiling was splotched with darkness from being a smoking room in the past. Pieces missing of furniture. The stand alone chair was covered in stains.
I liked how the staff was accommodating and upgraded us when our room reeked of smoke and was dirty. Our room was disgusting. For the high price I paid to stay there, it was filthy. Our room was almost unbearable with the smoke smell. The bathrooms were gross and needed a deep cleaning. The bathroom floor was also sticky. The breakfast was two thumbs down. The hallways and common areas were just below par. Overall cleanliness was terrible.

Room was nice and comfortable, looked to be recently remodeled. Nothing is included. I had to pay extra to park, extra for the wifi and extra for the breakfast. If I had known this I definitely would have not stayed here. Staff seemed very busy and did not have time to answer any questions that you might have.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Made us feel special. The rooms were nice and the new beds were the most comfortable I have experience in any hotel. The only complaint is they need to put more outlets in the room. I would stay at the Hotel Marriott again.
We were unable to reach our hotel. No one told us when we made our reservations that Mardi Gras parades (at least two) would be passing by our hotel after 4:00 p.m. (which is check in) making it impossible to get to our hotel. We waited in traffic for over 3 hours trying to reach our hotel, then the New Orleans police started diverting all the traffic and set up barriers making it impossible to be anywhere near Canal Street. The front desk at the Marriott told us they couldn't guarantee we could reach the hotel by midnight. We had to drive to Baton Rouge to get a hotel and missed out being with family the next day for our grandchild's 1st birthday.

I usally don't like to stay on any floor except the ground floor, unless I am on the beach. Baton Rouge is originally my Home and to be above parts of a city thay in just 2 years, grow so much, I really enjoyed the stay in your Motel. The breakfast bar was ample exept for bacon..you gotta have bacon...but the sausage was very good.All other items in the bar were excellant. I will book this place and recommend it to anyone . Thank you once again for a awesome trip home... Gotta have "BACON" on the breakfast bar..Everything else was really good.
Clean, friendly staff, good location, reasonable rates. The pool is a little small, but did not affect our trip. Overall, one of the best 3 star class hotels I've stayed in.

Wonderful breakfast. Staff was very nice. Room was nice and spacious. The kids were running rampant all through the hotel. On every floor there was stomping, room doors being slammed. Kids turning flips on the couches and chairs in the atrium. Never seen anything like it at a hotel before. A security guard need to be hired to run the kids back to their rooms while their parent drink or swim. Total chaos until late at night. We couldn't get a good nights sleep for all the noise. The hotel in itself is very nice and I would stay there again if there was some kind of control and peace and quiet. Embassy suites are always a favorite of ours.
The hotel staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The service is impeccable. We specially like the morning made to order breakfast and the evening reception which brought a relaxing atmosphere to our stay at the Embassy Suite in Baton Rouge. I will be traveling to NY and would like to stay at the Embassy Suites but the price is prohibitive.

Price was good. We've stayed there many times in the past and it has become a little rundown. Toilets didn't flush well. Rooms smelled dank and moldy.
The bedsheets and towels were very comfy and clean. We needed a small crib for our infant but when we called, they told us they had ran out. It would be nice that they have more.

the BF and room size Front desk staff was not helpful. I had to fly in an AM flight to the town and sent this info to hotel as I know that normal check-in is noon or after. Despite of the fact that many rooms were empty when I was trying to check in (10 AM) the staff said no rooms are ready! it was till 4pm when a room was ready!!
This property is older and in need of updating ,...was slightly disappointed, ...would rate it a B- or C property at best,...however,...staff was great...I would not return or recommend against other hotel options in the market...I think Hilton corporate QC might be embarrassed by this property.

We stay at the Drury in BR often. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The free food, drinks, hot tub and pool are wonderful! The decor is gorgeous and more representative of a higher priced hotel! It's family friendly and a great value for your money!

beds were very comfortable! Great location! Clean room. pool was cold its a southern state would be better heated. The refridge hummed the whole time. We had to plug it in when we got to the room. Wifi should be free for all. Its 2016 after all. Some english speaking house keepers would be nice as to have communcation instead of a yes from the staff when they clearly dont understand. maybe offer engllish classes to staff that wants to learn.

The hotel was in a great location and very walkable to various New Orleans attractions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They allowed me to change my room to a double queen and check-in early as well as do a late check out until 3 which I appreciated. The room was a nice size for two people. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would like. There was hair left over from the previous occupant. The blanket was also dirty when I separated it from the sheet.
Great stay with a great staff. The hotel is located on the riverside which allows for easy access to the river walk, the auditorium, Harrah's Casino and Drago (which is in the hotel).

It was very close to the French Quarter Festival activities. The rooms were nice and we loved having appetizers and drink at the bar after a busy day of activities.

They charged extra for wifi and the gym. I thought this was tacky when paying over $200 a night forms room.
Close to casino, Bourbon Street and restaurants. Air conditioner didn't work. We had to call several times for it to get fixed. After it improved it didn't last long. We had to call again. It never was fixed.

Very clean, modern. Prompt and friendly service. No breakfast included, and food is pricey. No complimentary toiletries. I forgot a comb, and they didn't have any. There are other toiletries for sale.
For the price you pay breakfast should be free.
Location is great, only 1 block from bourbon and 3-5 blocks to Jackson square, decatur street, etc. The hotel staff makes you feel secure, safe, and they are very nice. The hotel is clean and big. The value for the cost of the hotel is great! I'm nitpicking, but little things like the sink drain would not drain properly, and the in room TV has a very limited selection of channels to choose from.

Booked one night and paid in advance, after my stay they charged me over $200 and would not assist in helping me. Just seemed like I was dealing with a bunch of morons. Would choose another hotel with a smarter staff next time.

I had an overall great experience. I was there for two nights beginning Ash Wednesday expecting the place to be trashed after Mardi Gras but it was very clean. The Staff were very friendly and the service was superb. The location was great. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to New Orleans. I did not like the required valet parking, which was $18/day plus taxes. Every time I needed to get something out of my car I had to go through the Valet Service. It was just something I wasn't interested in doing, but the Valet Staff were really sweet though and remembered me by name.
The location was super convenient for spending time in the French Quarter. Since it's right near Bourbon St, the elevators had keycard access, which made me feel a bit more safe. No issue getting shuttles to and from the hotel from other services. They were able to hold my bag after check out when I had a really late flight home. We found old, empty beer cans and a few other things hidden under our beds. The staff was pretty gruff, even when I popped in to the front desk at 8AM, before all the drunk tourists started causing problems. The A/C was either a freezing blast or a furnace, no in-between.

I loved how comfy and clean the bed and pillows were. The view from my room was also nice and I really enjoyed the heated pool. My girl and I had a great overnight stay in New Orleans as always thanks to the Wyndam Hotel. Only bad thing was the tv remote was broke and I didn't have a TV guide in my room. & I would of liked a mini fridge for the price too.
I liked being within walking distance to everything. The beds were also comfortable. There was no fridge in the room. The air didn't work very good. The bathroom mirror light didn't work and kept turning off leaving the bathroom pretty dark. I went to a total of 4 vending machines and none had bottled water. On one the return change button was broken so you had to buy something even though it wasn't what you wanted. Complained to the front desk and was told they refill on Thirsdays. This was on a Saturday and Sunday morning.
2 queen beds provided for 4 people, beds were small but very comfortable. Pool is small but warm, great for kids. No mini-fridge in room. Tea and coffee in room not adequate. Parking is valet only at 38 dollars per day. Park at airport instead for 11 dollars a day. Hotel wants to pay for your tour in exchange for participating in a time-share scam. We declined.
The location was great! Rooms were big and the bathroom was roomy. There were renovations going on which I was not told about when I called the hotel the day before to confirm my reservation. The outdoor renovations were "closed" down around 5pm so noise wasn't a problem. The problem was that they were updating some kind of wiring inside the hotel and there were wires hanging from the ceiling on my floor in lots of places, ceiling dust and wood was also all over the floor. This gave the whole interior a dirty, dusty smell and look. I may return once all of the renovations are complete, but I felt that the staff should have given me the renovation information so that I could have made the decision to stay there or not!
We travelled all over the north east and payed hundreds of dollars on hotels (one was $800 for two nights) this hotel beat all of them in price and luxury! Perfect size safe and BEAUTIFUL rooms. Happiest I've ever been spending money on a room.

The staff was super friendly. The room and facility were very clean. Appreciate the effort to be green with the divided trash cans though a liner in the"trash" side would be nice. Restaurant prices were high for what you get. The pool is very small.
Arrived late. Front Desk Clerk on a personal phone call. Waited 15 Minutes to be checked-in. Room felt cramped, weird layout. Sheets didn't fit the bed had to fix it throughout the night. Room service came early while we were still n the room. Asked if they could come back later. When we returned at 11:30 pm the room was still untouched. Ran out to toilet paper, had to go the the desk to request fresh towels and coffee. Not at all what I am used to with Hilton properties.

The staff was all very friendly and welcoming. The food was not good. The breakfast buffet was cold, out of several items. In Room dining menu had items on the menu that weren't available in the kitchen. The kitchen and bar were closed on Saturday night, 1/28/17 bc "the chef had a personal emergency". That sounds like a missed opportunity for revenue as well as services to the guests.
The property was very inviting and layed out very well. The included features were very good and the included hot breakfast was far superior to most hotels included breakfast. The eating area alone was open and inviting making it an enjoyable experience. The room itself was very comfortable and had everything needed along with space to sit and relax. Definitely going to be a return customer at this location when coming to visit family in the area
Good location close to I-10. Breakfast included. I booked a king size bed but while checking in the lady at the front desk insisted I had booked 2 queen beds. I ended up with 2 double beds. It was midnight and I was too tired to complain... I can understand that they don't have anymore king beds available, but please don't try to convince me I booked something else.

The hotel is in a great spot downtown. We woke up Saturday morning and walked to the farmers market for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet and clean. No refrigerator. No bottles of water(didn't care if they would have been $4).

My husband and our pet stayed there for about 4 weeks after hurricane Katrina. Hotel management and staff did everything in their power to help of us make us feel welcome.

We really enjoyed the Courtyard Marriott in Lafayette, LA, so we gave a try on the Courtyard in Baton Rouge, LA. The Baton Rouge Courtyard had a few friendly staff but for the most part it was pretty cold. The hot tub smelled funny like it had not been cleaned, each local call we found out cost 75 cents plus tax, Long distance calls from the rooms began at over five dollars just to dial out, plus tax. There is no wireless, just a plug in ethernet cable. The water tastes funny.

When you stay at a Courtyard you know you will get a solid value.
A LITTLE PRICEY FOR THE CALLIBER OF ROOM, BUT THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND THE ROOM WAS CLEAN.
This was my first stay at a Courtyard Marriott and I was very much pleased with the hotel, but unsure about the area. I felt safe in the parking lot but the area about a block away was questionable. Upon check - in our room wasn't cleaned yet, so the lady at the front desk gave us another room - our choice of a courtyard view or a parking lot view. That was a no brainer. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and quiet. Our courtyard view was very nice as well - overlooking the pool and an outdoor garden/sitting area. We even had a balcony to sit out on. Better than looking at the freeway or the parking lot. One thing I would recommend though - a courtyard view is not suitable for children....as there are other hotel rooms facing the courtyard as well, and during our stay some people were not shy about closing their curtains after showers, and while dressing! There was free internet in our room and it worked great. The only disappointing this about staying a...
This hotel was far enough away from Bourbon Street that the noise didn't bother me when I decided to call it a night, but it was also close enough that it didn't take long to rejoin the nightlife.
It is nothing 'over the top' but the room was clean and the staff was courteous. The courtyard view was nice. It would be great to have a refridgerator and a microwave in the room. The Internet in the room is awesome. Stayed again at a later date.

Even the rooms without the courtyard views are good. The big King bed is wonderful! The beds are awesome. The high speed Internet is great. In the King rooms, there is a small sofa. The staff were very helpful.
