receptionist came to guide us to hotel as we had difficulty finding its location. only downside was audiable pump-motor type sonnd in the morning.this didnt disturb to a great extent.
The hotel is really silent and offers a great view of the old city center of Brasov, which one can reach within 5 minutes per feet. One can have breakfast on teracce and enjoy a broad buffet, quite exceptional for Romanian hotels. The standard of the Hotel is high, everything is modern and functioning (also WiFi), which is also exceptional for Romanian hotels. A great place to stay and relax!
Rooms - simple but clean. staff - polite. conveniently located hotel for those who like to wander through the medieval streets, and the view from the window - just gorgeous. For staff - to monitor the availability of hot water and drink during breakfast. I booked "lux" - but the room in which we lived was an ordinary Suite with a very simple furniture
goog hotel, good breakfast, short distance from old town , restaurants and shopping outlets, no complaints
nice spacious rooms, very pleasant helpful staff.Very good view of Brasov from restaurant and own balcony. I found the walk up from town to the hotel quite tiring (about 20 mins). No buses and taxis were not available as they would only do longer trips.
The staff were excellent and went out of their way to oblige and were very friendly. The food was good. The hotel was clean. The sauna was a bit impractical and the staff told me the swimming pool was out of bounds because the weather was too cold but by Scottish standards the weather was good and certainly warm enough for outdoor swimming. Lack of pool, no bath (shower only) and impracticality of sauna.
The rooms are exceptionally spacious and with good finishings. Good choice of food at the resatourant, well prepared. Great panoramic view over the city. Esy access to the central area. The last 100m of the access road should be repaired.
Breathtaking view. Ideal place for relaxation.
I would not reccomend this hotel at all. First of all the walls are paper thin and the beds are very uncomfortable. The closer you are to the ground level, the louder you can hear the stay dogs barking and howling. If you staying in the deluxe rooms, don't be fooled by it having a bathtub as it barely fits one person. Breakfast, what can I say, I asked for orange juice and they offered me fanta! They offer stale coffee and 'croiscents' that come in a box from the supermarkets. The only positive thing I would say is that even though its outside the city, its really close. And the view from the mountain it sits on is nice. I would never go back.
nice view over brasov our room wasn't so clean, very ugly and dirty bathroom, everything is and look very cheap, but the hotel costs like hilton etc. i definitely would not recommend or stay at this hotel.
The hotel service is good. All the rooms are beside the stairs and lift area, when guests come up go down the building , we can hear the noise, stay in there can't really have good rest due to different sechdule for different guests.
A comfortable, quiet, clean hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Located at an execellent spot in the city of Brasov, within easy walking distance of most of the cities attractions and sightseeing objects. Connection with the train station (trains and busses to and from Bucharest) is easy, cheap and fast (bus Nr. 51). We must especially comment on the good and plentiful breakfast. A minor nuisance was the fact that the hotel could not provide us with a flatter pillow, to replace the somewhat fluffy ones it normally has. Might be a problem for smaller children or adults with certain neck problems.
The staff was extremely helpful and the room and breakfast were great. The location worked really well. We were able to securely park our rental car out front and walk into the main tourist areas. The restaurant across the piata was excellent. Beware if you are using a GPS to get to the hotel. The route given was impossible and there were much easier ways once you arrived into Brasov.
Clean room, the staff, the management. It is not a real negative aspect but there are some problems with the address. That one indicated on booking.com is not valid on most navigation software. More, there is a confusion between the hotel Coroana and Coroana Brasovului even for the local people.
It's not the first time I stayed there and I like the hotel because of the comfort and distance from the city center.
Hotel stuff was very helpful and extremely energetic Rooms clean and luxirious, location vey central. The only problem was to find the hotel as the address was not properly located at our GPSs. Romanian people were so helpful leading us to get to the hotel. This compliments belongs to all people we met throughout Romania! surprisingly all spoke English! Perfect Vacation!
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who asked if we would like to see the other rooms that were avaliable. We loved the suite so decided to upgrade. We were very happy with what we got,
Excellent! Beautiful location, excellent design, nice people, comfortable beds, everything is fine! stop there - a pleasure, but to the city center on foot does not reach, by taxi 5 minutes, but it's not expensive and does not spoil the impression
- lovely rooms; friendly staff
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice loft room for our family of 5 with a wonderful view from the loft window. Nice breakfast. Dinner options close by. It was difficult to find this hotel.
The room with the loft was especially good for families. It was about a 10 mniute walk from the main piazza.
The room was spacious, hotel staff was very professional, the location was walking distance to the historic center. The hotel is quite, showers are hot with good water pressure, beds were alright. There is a quaint Romanian restaurant around the corner, little markets nearby, All of the hotel's we stayed in Romania insisted their breakfasts were worth between 5 & 8 euro/ person. I think there is misunderstanding of the worth of the euro to the Lei/Ron. The market rate at this time is 4.40 Ron/Lei to 1 Euro they seem to think the rate is more like 3 Ron/Lei to the Euro! So, things were more expensive at the hotels, all of them! Venture out and you'll find excellent pastries, coffee, and the likes!
Very helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Great location.
Family style hotel in the oldest and residential part of Brasov with recently renovated and spacious rooms in 10 minutes walk from the city center. I liked very much the two-level design and the attractive price of 4-bed suite. Both wired and wireless internet with good speed and free of charge. Breakfast facilities are consice and although sufficient could be easily crowded.
Close to down town and nicely renovated building.
Location in heart of Brasov! Beautiful quiet place!!! Excellent hotel!!! Great service!!! Fantastic 98 m² big apartment!!! Highly recommended!!! Curtea Brasoveana offers pleasant, modern and comfortable accommodation in a traditional setting - absolutely true!!! I am happy!!! Free public parking. But it was a not problem.
Despite the good quality, the price of a double room (70 euro) remains too high compared to standards in Romania. Pensions provides similar comfort for half price.
Very difficult to find. Very difficult. No sign posts to the hotel. No name of the hotel on the premises. Our room was situated so everybody passing by could look into it. No curtains. Breakfast was poor.
The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was very very friendly and the view is great.
