The manager of this Wyndham was THE BEST. SO HELPFUL AND SWEET :) NO COMPLAINTS
Every time we visit our grandchildren we stay at this location. We have never been disappointed by the staff or location.
Rooms were comfortable Halls were dirty phone didn't work tv speaker broken hot tub broken side door lock broken breakfast was not good never saw most things listed on menu never saw any meat on bar
Room clean, comfy Breakfast
Really enjoyed our stay here, very clean hotel, staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Free breakfast exceeded our expectations. Can not think of one bad experience at all.
Large room Rooms not well sound proofed. We could hear doors open, close and squeaking even over the tv.
Courteous staff. Good value for money. Coffee maker too dirty to use.
Room was clean. Price was competitive. The blinds in the room were sheer. The bigger curtains were for design not function, so I could not block the light from the parking lot.
The hotel was clean everywhere, that is always important to me. Staff was friendly. Coffee and water available in the lobby. Location was convenient to University of Illinois and to shopping, dining etc. Our dark out curtain in room was broken, minor annoyance. Walls were a bit thin, could hear things from rooms next door. Could also hear lots of hallway noise.
the room itself was spacious and visually appealing; breakfast was good; great location -- very close to numerous restaurants, not far from downtown, close to the interstate; friendly/helpful staff; relatively cheap pricing everything looked and felt dirty in my room, so I was uncomfortable and wanted to get out as soon as possible; exercise equipment was old and not functioning the best; noisy neighbors
Staff nice. Parking good. Free wifi. Hotel was generally clean. Bed moderately comfortable. Quiet and they have rules about quiet time which was awesome. Swimming pool area too hot, water too cold, bugs in hot tub. No music in pool area. Shower terrible in room. Breakfast disappointing, except for waffle maker. No vending machine - snacks available in lobby ridiculously priced. Felt for the price of stay everything should have been better.
Clean, nice décor. Quiet. Friendly. Good location Fitness center needs a bit of work. Treadmill broken. Suggested to have equipment with TVs attached so that if more then one person is in the room, they don'/t have to agree on watching the same program
The service, amenities, and room were all great! The suite we stayed in was nicely appointed with a fridge and pull out couch. My kids enjoyed swimming in the small heated indoor pool, which we had all to ourselves. The hot breakfast was the nicest free hotel breakfast I have ever had, with fresh French toast, egg sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, and other essentisls. A very nice staff person even gave my kids a package of M & Ms! This hotel is essentially brand new and very nice! I was disappointed to have to pay extra for parking in Champaign (!), but the room rate was low enough that parking didn't break the bank.
Very nice, modern hotel. Great room with comfortable bed and sitting area. Nice, contemporary feel. Really terrific staff. Perfect location in the center of town near restaurants, etc. I recommend it highly.
Rooms are large, neat and well appointed. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast is well done, a cut above normal hotel breakfast. Had a salad and soup Christmas night when NOTHING was open, and it was well priced and tasty. Charge for parking. No hot tub.
The Hyatt place in Champaign was great and met the reputation of the other Hyatt places I've stayed in. I love the location getting to see and enjoy what downtown has to offer. If you are staying on the weekend be sure to park for free at the Hill St. Parking deck just a block away. I arrived for the breakfast at 9:54. Most hotels give you a free minutes of leeway, but this particular location, or staff member, was rushing to get the food put up. The oatmeal and the drinks (juices, milk and water) were all put up already. I've worked for many years in food service and I was taught you aren't closed until closing time. Other than that, which wasn't a big deal, our stay was lovely.
I've stayed in Champaign, IL often during the last 25 or 30 years but this location was the best.
It was a lovely place to stay!
The room design was excellent. The location was great and it was very secure. Was on the only floor with no ice maker. Guest rooftop access would've put it a another slight notch.
Very clean, and very good quality bed. Not many frills, but often when traveling for business that's just fine--especially given the price. They cover all the basics in a way that's friendly to my travel budget.
clean, well decorated, close to restaurants and shopping
This hotel is a regular stop as we head North each year. Our labs travel well and are clean. This year we were given an updated room, although we could tell it was one of their "Pet friendly rooms". There was a wet dog smell, I think they just cleaned the carpet. Overall, I would recommend and will stay again next year. La Quinta does not have a pet fee. However, should your pet soil the carpet, or crew the chair leg, they will charge. They require each guest to sign pet disclosure statement at check-in.
Location was good. Air-conditioning / heating system was inconsistent. Gave off a smell when it was first turned on.
Convenient to Interstate & walking distance to restaurants. Clean with comfortable beds. Nice continental breakfast. Breakfast area was small had to eat in an adjoining room.
the shower curtain is a cheap and clinging , that almost triped me it a narrow space and im 6'4' and a football player size.
The room was nice, the beds were comfortable and the desk staff was friendly. No elevator, no direct route to the office from the room, breakfast left a lot to be desired except that it was free and there was no parking in the evening.
The hotel was exceptional and the staff was above and beyond. Thanks Miki and Staff for a great stay!!
Not the biggest rooms, but the hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable. Rooms could be larger and because we have younger kids (3 and 5 year olds), a pool would have been nice.
Nice updated room. Extra pillows were received, Thank You! The young lady at breakfast gave me muffins even though they were out and it was just about 9am end of grab and go. Providing this is a great convenience for busy travelers. Thank You! Great value! Thank You! Stained sheet, spots of blood stain on top sheet, dirty carpeting between the beds, lots of fuzzies like the vacuum didn't work? or wasn't used, the shower didn't get very hot, it was a limited heat and I would have liked to have had hotter water. I mentioned the stained sheet and unvacuumed carpet to the front desk receptionist, she didn't give me much response. We needed to get to University for our son's music audition so I didn't have time to discuss this further. Workers are smoking just outside the front door is not a good thing, and stinky. Terrible for people who are allergic. While I do understand the addiction, and sympathize, it would be better if they took turns far far away from the front door.
They upgraded our room and we stayed in a newly renovated place. Friendly staff, 24/7 free coffee - tea. Comfortable bedding, clean linen. Cleanliness was at its best. Good place for a budget. Noisy bathroom fan.
Everything appeared to be fresh and recently remodeled. They are using LED lighting which is good with the exception of the color temperature of the lamp. Lighting color is measured in Degrees Kelvin, Incandescent light is about 2700 Degrees Kelvin, LED lighting is available in several color temperatures For some reason, 5000 - 6000 K is most commonly chosen, possibly because it appears to be brighter than 3000 K. The Journal of the American Medical Association recently published an article on LED lighting where they found that the combination of the glare produced by LED lighting and the grayish color of 6000 K is not good for the human eye. Their recommendation is reduce the glare by using lower wattages or to shield the light so we don't see the direct light. Their second recommendation is to use color temperatures not to exceed 3000 Degrees Kelvin.
Excellent value and clean.
I love the remodeling No fridge
I loved the location. Room was clean however there was one washcloth that had red dots on it, which was folded and left there by what I would imagine was staff. I put it on the floor. The next day after the cleaners came in I saw the room was straightened and saw what appeared to be new washcloths rolled under the vanity sink. I grabbed one to wash up and it was the same cloth with red dots and now had floor smudge on it. This was the same washcloth that I had thrown on the floor and moved under the sink area to be picked up the next day. After that I straightened my own room and asked for toilet tissue and towels if needed. I stayed 6 nights. If they did not care enough to give me a new wash cloth I was not able to trust in their respect for my things.
We had a terrible experience
Very clean and staff was very friendly!
Reliable experience: clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, convenient location (easy access from freeway and close to several amenities, including restaurants and shopping mall). Nothing I can think of.
Very clean room, check in was very friendly. Very few parking spaces compared to the number of rooms. When my guest arrived to pick up her key that I left for her at the front desk, she was initially denied check-in for a few minutes. They found it fairly quickly.

The breakfast, dinner, and the 3 free drinks. I LOVED this hotel. All of my stays will now be Drury Inns and Suites.
breakfast & evening mini buffet at no extra cost was way better than you would expect for this grade of hotel. all staff were friendly and helpful Out of coffee at 8am, but 20 minutes later refilled it , but it was Christmas morning, so maybe they were under staffed so I cant really complain.

Breakfast and dinner with beverages. Large bath. Room a bit small.
friendly staff, clean rooms, free dinner, cocktails and breakfast
Staff were extremely friendly, conveniently located, liked the fact that there was a hot food bar in the evening and breakfast bar in the morning. When I checked in I was asked for a credit card which should have just been for incidentals but they insisted on billing me for my room as well. Therefore being double billed.
I liked how close the hotel was to the UIUC campus. I could visit the campus easily without having to deal with the traffic and noise that an on-campus hotel would have. The front desk clerk was friendly. I enjoyed the included breakfast. Room was clean and spacious.
Great staff. Very helpful. No vending machines on second floor
nice and quiet, always my first issue with hotel rooms. our rooms were quiet. the size of the bathroom- too small
Great location for us after our wedding. Needs maintenance and updating. PAint peeling of my inlaws walls.
Comfy beds and great location
Great breakfast I booked this hotel a year in advance. My reservation was for a King be room with a pull out couch to sleep 4 adults. The first thing that happened when we arrived was they put the wrong room number on our key sleeve. After several attempts and a long elevator ride and walk to the front desk, it was straightened out. Once we were finally in our room, much to our surprise, the pull out couch, was a pull out oversized chair with a twin size bed!! Now you tell me how that is supposed to sleep 4 adults! We immediately called down, explained the issue and they gave us a roll away bed, now we had absolutely no room to walk around the suite. When they gave us the sheets for the roll away bed, it was ripped and stained...and was for a double bed! We knew right then, there were rooms that had bigger pull outs and they stuck us with this room. For the inflated price because it was a college homecoming weekend and because I had made my reservations a year in advance, I was highly disappointed in this hotel. I will never go back.
Location very close to UIUC Hotel felt and looked very "tired" Parking situation a mess and not well marked Cleanliness and quality of room questionable Breakfast had good variety, but questionable quality Worst coffee I've ever had
The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. They were very accomodating.\ nothing. Great place to stay!
Full kitchen. Very nice room. Was not expecting it to be so nice for the price I paid. Staff was very friendly. Would stay there again.
Front desk staff very professional and customer oriented. Great job! Room was described as having a bed with adjustable firmness dial. The room did not have this, but instead had the most uncomfortable mattress that killed my back. Front desk staff compensated with a free breakfast for two and gift cards for Texas Road House and Starbucks. Now they should just fix the advertisement or the beds.
My wife and I booked this room at Homewood for an overnight getaway. When we arrived, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was fantastic, the place was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!! In the morning, I got up early an had the hot breakfast- delicious! My wife slept in and by the time she got up it was only 5 minutes to the breakfast closing. I went down to get her some coffee in our room carafe. The staff at the breakfast area gave me a to-go container and helped me concoct a breakfast plate for my sleepy wife. I am very impressed with the staff and thankful to them also. I will be back!!!
Location, Cleanliness, good breakfast, nice sized suite. I have 2 charges on my credit card that I was not Informed of, so I will have to call the hotel to find out why I was charged $5 and $15 separately. Surprise charges are a pet peeve.
excellent breakfast, full kitchen no
The hotel was great. The staff was wonderful. This was my first time staying at Homewood Suites I enjoyed my stay so much that it has inspired me to take a longer vacation. The full kitchen was a pleasant experience. The breakfast was great.
Everything was great! Friendly, clean, nice view, Can't say anything bad about our stay. Breakfast was good and plenty, pool was cool but not cold.
Great room and the breakfast was very good. Our room was not ready at the 3:00 check in and had to wait 40 minutes to get into our room. It made getting ready for a 4:30pm a very hard task.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool was frequently not stocked with towels, but the staff responded quickly each time.
The rooms are spacious and clean, very efficient for extended stay. Location is prime for nearby restaurants and shopping. There was a kid's soccer tournament taking place in town. There were 100 plus families with small children staying in the hotel. Kids were rampant with no supervision, leaving messes and screaming in the hallways until 1 a.m. Mgmt did not seem concerned.
Very nice place. No.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Train noise outside.
Very nice and comfortable suite with kitchen. Plenty of free parking; good hot breakfast. The bedroom is tad cramped, but very clean. Overall, VERY GOOD value for money.
The price The beds are extremely hard. Wouldn't stay there again for that reason alone. The place could use a facelift.
The hotel was cheap and our room was clean and came exactly as described with everything we needed. Room-wise the stay couldn't have been better. After checking in we went to the room given to us, opened the door and saw an older man (possibly homeless) laying on the bed with trash everywhere and a reeking smell coming from the room. We were immediately placed us in another room, but this obviously made us very uneasy about the safety of our belongings throughout the weekend while away from the hotel.
It was fine for an overnight stay. Staying at a Days Inn, you shouldn't be expecting pillow mints and spa robes, we had some issues with hang up phone calls, and front desk sending another guest to the same room, however the staff was very friendly and handled our complaint satisfactorily.
The location is in a cluster of other, similar hotels. It was pretty quiet given that is right off of I74. The a/c unit worked. The bathroom has an exhaust fan so the room didn't get steamy after every shower. It is surprising how many motels don't have a bathroom fan. The room had a broken ironing board and the TV just pretty poor. The small refrigerator in the room made a loud clicking noise every few minutes even though it was essentially turned off. I suppose it was still getting power somehow. The whole place just felt stuffy and not fresh.
Friendly staff. Felt clean. Had to air out the room at least twice per day because of the musty smell. Not much to choose from in Urbana-Champaign, but this is probably one of the better places to stay at in the area.
Continental breakfast was solid - decent waffles, yogurt Lots of local newspapers around Brand-new mini fridge in the room (very nice amenity!) Good location, if you have a car. Sensitive plumbing - toilet needed assistance & we mentioned it to the front desk at 8 am. Returning at 10:30 am after breakfast at Bob Evans, it hadn't been fixed, so we mentioned it again. The front-desk employee asked if we wanted a plunger. We declined and used the grotty public restroom off the lobby. Returning to our hotel at 9 pm, the toilet still hadn't been fixed. We asked the evening-shift employee for the plunger and fixed it ourselves. Bathtub also looked dirty and was never cleaned during our three-day stay. I overhead another guest one morning asking for cleaning supplies so she could clean her tub herself. If I wanted DIY, I would camp.
Room was clean and comfortable breakfast was poor...nothing without sugar. Didn't even have any boiled eggs. Forced to eat Raisin Bran which has loads of sugar.
