very helpful staff insufficient bed-linen - needed to be a mattress cover and then a sheet
Clean and friendly.
Everything except for the distance to the city center (I expected short walking distance) The above mentioned distance
tight single rooms, disagreeable smell in some corridors, smudges on some linings, refrigerators out of operation
hotel staff, breakfast, close to tram
Pleasant staf and comfort room.
great staff, great value, room spacious and clean, older property, need tram to get to altstadt, on street parking in an older neighborhood, excellent breakfast buffet.
Clean and cosy a little noisy from aircraft and revellers
You have wirelless just at first floor; they not have big towels; there is more than 5 min. from the old centre (about 6-7 tram stations)
Nice location, directly in the centre we reserved for a suite and standard room for the kids. This was not available so we got a downgrade......
clean room, friendly staff, near 2 tram stations (Tram no,4.9.13 /about 2 minutes on foot) Entrance door was little bit difficult to find at first time.
We liked the proximity to the Elbe, the neighborhood was not bombed much in 1945, so the architecture is interesting. We really enjoyed walking only a short distance to the Watkes (spelling?) Brauhaus (beautiful beer garden on the Elbe, wonderful view of Dresden skyline) - good food for a good price. There was a bad smell in the bathroom, when we first got there, as if fumes from the sewage system were filtering back up, but it was gone by the evening.
Very easy 5-10 minute tram ride to the center- stops a block from the hotel. Little shops near by for fruit, mail, etc. Lovely neighborhood, too. Very simple rooms, but spotless. Seems like it is a new hotel, so they may be ironing out details. For example, the wireless internet connection didn't work, but they were trying to resolve it.
the man was very friendly. great room. breakfast price was not included in room rate, my son only ate a roll and we were still charged 7 euros for his breakfast. a little farther away from town center than i thought. on street parking. credit card machine was not working.
It's location , ideal for visiting Dresden on strassen bahn Lack of car parking
The young man who manages this small facility does an excellent job. He is helpful, pleasant, and speaks good English. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Free parking is available on the street. Good wi-fi access. This hotel is within the city, but not in the center. Guests who intend to use public transportation within Dresden to and from the hotel should be certain of the tram routes in order to avoid becoming lost returning to the hotel. Staff will provide assistance with tram maps.
Easy to find, 10 minutes from highway, free parking on street nearby. Small room, minimalistic interior, internet was out of order
Although a little far from the city center, a tram can leave you there easily. Comfortable and new. Totally worth it for the price you pay.
- the city center was easy to reach from the hotel, by tram - the staff did not speak any English and was not very friendly; - for 9 days, nobody cleaned my room ; - in the description of the room was presented a wash-basin, a toilet and a chichinette and in reality , none of these were present in the room, but on the hall ; - the directions to reach the hotel were wrong : they recommended me to walk 2 streets and then take a tram, when there were trams starting directly from the train station ; - it was listed that the reception is opened until 8 p.m., but at 7 p.m. the staff has already left ; - the heating was working only a few hours per day and in some days it was stopped
The room was very spacious and location is within 10 min from center by tram (Public transport is very good in Dresden). The breakfast service could be improved: have a bit more variety in terms of food choice
It was affordable, very clean and friendly. I would stay there again. Nope, I was very satisfied.
Location although just outside the centre, very easy to get to by tram and bus, and if its very fine a nice walk along the river. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast good value for the price although it would have been nice to have some cereal choice. Staff very helpful.
Location to down town Dresden. Easy access to street cars. Small urban village. When we arrived the hotel was closed. There was a phone number on the door. We called the number and we got an answering machine. We left a message. We walked down the street to the next entrance way and found a bell/button for "My Bed Dresden" After about 15 minutes someone arrived and told us that the rooms were not ready. We said ok and we left till 3:30pm. When we returned at 3:30 the hotel was again closed. We rang the bell next door and someone came over from across the street. Our room was located across the street in an apartment building. The room was sparcely furnished with ikea furniture. The bed was a students bed, a bit small for two adults. There was no internet and we were told to go to the internet cafe.
To be honest it's not a hotel. It's a group of flats divided to rooms. They are in two buildings on opposite sides of a street. It's not far away from town's center. It seems they are starting, everything is brand new IKEA. Mattress on a bed was very thin. They have better in IKEA ;) There is no room service. Breakfest was a disaster. No warm dishes (eggs, vienna sausages, wurst), no fresh vegetables, they even ran out of milk on second day! Such a breakfest should be included in ro0m's price not charged extra.
It's a budget accommodation and it's not too far away from the old town if you are driving. There's TV in the room. If you plan to check in late, the reception is closed and you'll have to call and speak in German. We were lucky that a local guest was also waiting outside the door and he called for us. Or we may have to look for another accommodation at 9pm. The room is okay but several things needed to be repaired (shower head holder, blind, etc.).
I loved my big airy room, and that the friendly reception guy carried my bag up when he showed me to it. It was very handy to have a market, restaurants, and streetcar stop so close. It was a bit out of the center. My biggest problem was the breakfast system. There were only five tables, but several of them were always covered with used dishes, and there was no way to even pour a cup of coffee until they were cleared and reset. They should either set out dishes and let people help themselves, or add extra staff to keep up with the work.
