i order suit//'- and ther was no sutis aveilabol// it was very an plesent / jast ilana the menejer was nice and helpful .
Hotel was very nice, couldnt believe how nice it was for what we paid. Pool was really nice as well. Tourist info was really helpfull. Food was very good. Would highly reccommend it That I couldnt stay longer
No water front , rooms a bit weak for 5 stars Lift slower then that never saw !
The breakfast and the range of food offered was great. Staff not very helpful, in certain cases they seemed not informed and disoriented. The so called "Executive Room" was advertised as a spacious room with a large terrace but it turned out to be a modest size room with a very small balcony! The image used in the website and the actual reality - at least in terms of the balcony- were clearly out of line.
The Breakfast The rooms are small the beds are uncomfortable the staff Is left back the method of payment are out of order
The room was ok, fairly clean and a comfortable bed. Television had a decent satellite channel package. The service was bad, and the staff couldn't handle the amount of guests. Breakfast offered a lot of variety, but bad quality. Nothing that fits the price of the hotel. There are only two elevators so they are always busy and we had to take the emergency stairs, which have not been cleaned for a while. The room's balcony had 2 simple plastic chairs that weren't clean. Overall, this is a 3 star hotel at best, and not a good one.
Its only redeeming value is that its price was significantly lower than the top hotels: Dan Eilat and Herodes. 1. Poorly trained young staff, many without English language skills.2.. Location is not in main beach strip but at a Marina and too close to airport. 3. Use of Dan name was misleading.
Great breakfast. Beautiful views. That we couldn't get an espresso on saturday. Ofbalk the mitzvahs that were not being kept, not sure why insist on this one...
Having booked a terrace room we benefitted from outside jacuzzi on large balcony with sun beds, which also overlooked the lagoon. Free access to the Club Lounge was an additional benefit which proved very useful. Fortunately it wasn't too much in demand when we were there as it is small. The cafeteria like atmosphere of the dining room with food to match. Insufficient lifts to cope with guests especially when large coach parries arrived - it sometimes took us quite a while to reach the floor we wanted and there was no staircase (only emergency one). Internet charge is high. The walk to the beach is more than 5 mins but we didn't need it anyway as we aren't 'beach people' - more interested in hiking.
No value for money
Israel/view/breakfast/weather/service/Israel Everything was nice
Very nice place although slightly outdated, excellent value for money (special offer) and spontaneous upgrade to the executive suite which was very much appreciated. Excellent breakfast buffet with lots of choices, and little gifts and attentions in the room. Close to the beach and shops. Breakfast staff didn't seem very happy to be there, small pool with not much animation, no direct access to the beach.
Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and truly seemed to care that everything is was ok. Free breakfast was over the top in terms of choices and variety of food. If you are going to Eilat and want to be in North Beach (on the boardwalk) and near food, shopping, carnival, this is a very central and nice place to stay.
The hotel was run down and smelled like smoke in hallway. Toilet didn't flush. Took 45 minutes to get a toothbrush. Non friendly staff. Dirty rags on floor of elevator. Not worth the money, Not 5 stars, Maybe 2!
the breakfast buffet was amazing - we never saw anything like it. The pool was great and the service was excellent. It was very affordable - we got what we paid for and so much more. I would definitely stay there the next time i visit eilat.
I liked the room service Most staff at the reception desk (except for Megan) are not attentive, they are slow and are not interested to serve your needs, the staff at the lobby restaurant do not conceal irritation by work.
i have stayed at this hotel before and i love the feeling of luxury it has, and the staff are very friendly
Absoulotly nothing horrible service Absoulotly everything
Good location, nice breakfast, large rooms, clean Unpleasant hotel staff, quite poor maintenance (leaking water, unflushable toilet, stained carpets, etc.etc.)
3 days relaxing the watertemperature of the swimmingpool
Decent value for the money, and the food was good. Ambiance of the hotel is nice too. Close to everything. The weather was terrible, but in no way was that the hotel's fault.
excellent food. Very nice pool area. Cleanliness. treatments in spa. Took quite a long time- nearly a full afternnon - for reception staff to accept that the phone in my room was indeed broken. Four staff members kept telling me I was using the wrong codes. Finally a very nice maintenance man got it sorted. Did not like the congestion at reception area and having to wait for service on a number of occasions.
This hotel can not be classified 5 star its more like a 3 star. Limited facilities and gives the feeling of being on budget holiday camp
Perfect view from the room, rooms are quite clean, customer service works quite well, all requests are fullfilled quickly and the quality is checked by customer service, good food beds are short and not very comfortable, a bit noisy from the promenade
Food selection gate to the beach open only at 6 AM
Good location, near the sea and Eilat center area. Breakfast should be open later, at least until 11 AM, better till noon. WiFi Internet should be available throughout all floors and in all rooms and free of charge.
They had a really great breakfast, fresh and lots of different food to choose from, bear in mind Israeli breakfast, so no meat dishes. You could also have a minute made omelette if you wanted. Surprisingly good gym for being a hotel gym, even for someone who is a bit more advanced and want to use free weights, not bad at all! Nice seaview from the balcony. Could definetely come back to that place.
Actually I did like nothing in this hotel. City is good, hotel is nothing. Everything in this hotel is very old. I feel like it was constructed and furnished 30 years ago and till now has never been renovated. A lot of smells of cheap deodorants everywhere. It should stand for maximum of 3 stars.
Some of the standard rooms are very little and to get in to some of the room the gusts need to up stairs about 10 stairs (without elevator)
the swimming pool was great. proximity to the beach/beach front was good. breakfast was excellent (but definitely too busy after 8:30am) the rooms were not 100% cleaned and outside /balcony furniture was not cleaned. carpets very dirty. fittings in bathrooms falling off. request for high floor ignored (was put on 1st floor). air conditioning had to be on MAX adequate (we were not sweating) but could have been much better. sound on TV was terrible (had to have volume on max to try hear). one room key did not work and took 2 attempts to get fixed. In fairness, we did not complain about any of this - so we did not give hotel a chance to change our room (we were already unpacked).
i love the modern look of the hotel and the fact that it was on the beach
Fits the need of the kids packed
reception was pleasant, room were reasonable sized and clean; facilities quite good - health spa etc. it is a family hotel; three large pools, but if you want to swim and not just splash around, it is not possible. It is really great for families with kids who are all over the place, a bit noisy. We took the room, because everything else was booked that weekend.
There were some nice things about the hotel, namely the pool as well as the daily breakfast. The amenties were limited for a hotel of that expense (e.g., absence of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bottled water). We found the hotel significantly overpriced especially given its location (i.e., distance from the sea) and the current, dismal economic climate. In hindsight, we would not have spent this much money on a hotel of limited amenties in the room and its distance to the sea. Please let us know if Israelis pay the same price as visitors from other countries such as the USA. We wonder about that.
Not on the beach, but beautiful pool more than makes up for that. Clean and very pleasant. Wish we had known that the first floor rooms have private pool area. That would have been fun. Plenty of pool side chairs and umbrellas. Great breakfast with plenty of service. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel is well designed Service is spotty, no hair drier in the room, no printer at the internet station, annoying checks and paper signing every time you order a glass of wine in the restaurant, etc.
The pool design / views from rooms onto it / direct access from all floor areas; the bar and terrace. Service was less than quick / sharp - but no different from my experience at another Israeli hotel which I'd also recommend.
The hotel intend to young people who whould like to stay in the pool over the day. There is no any other places / bars in the hotel that can be interested. The customer service department were very nice and efficient. . The staff are very nice and welcoming. I recommand on this hotel only for people who want to be only in the pool during their vacation. The hotel is not close to the beach. The rooms are very simple with small balcony facing the pool. The additional bed in the double room is very small adn can be used only for small child.
Free parking Bad location (far from center, far from the beach, too close to the airport), bad smell on the ground floor, pool (not heated) too cold to use. Rooms are not clean (stains on carpet and mattress). Overprised, paid $70 for up upgraded room with "pool access", wasn't worth it. No access to mini bar and room service because hotel policy is to up upfront for your entire stay before you check in. Staff not helpfull, most did not speak English.
We had room with private terrace by the pool it was really nice to go swim and breakfast until 12.00, great
Very nice room, clean and well appointed. Hotel was great and breakfast was awesome. Price charged was ~$10 (USD)/night more then listed on site, not sure why. Was busy for mid-week and lots of families w/ kids that could be loud at times.
The attention to client does not apply in this hotel
not so close to the beach and not very pleasant beach free internet only in the lobby and connection very poor.
The rooms are small and outdated. The staff is rude except of Gianna at the reception. Elena teh other receptionist is a nightmare, brrr... Her best sentence to a guest: ' I have no time to care about your problem, if you have time wait' The hotel is full with russian guests.
location is fair and welcome as well and room are enough confortable , good avearge hotel we have to negociate to keep the room for shabath and do a late check out , which is normally well accepted in israel , due to tourims law, finnaly , they hae accepted to keep one room among two paidThe value for price is not good , we know others hotels in eilat less expensive for the same level of services and location
Its location was convenient. The hotel staff was not very friendly.
The handle of the door to the balcony was broken. Without the AC on, the room was too hot, but no matter what setting you put, it's comes on strong, making the room way too cold. There was no separate soap and shampoo containers in the bathroom, just a dispenser on the wall near the sink and another in the shower. When I asked if it was soap and shampoo in one, the front desk said, "kind of", but her tone said "not really". The breakfast ended at 9:30am which was so early for me being on vacation, I had to set my alarm to go fill up a plate before they closed, and the staff almost didn't let me take it to my room. The cleaning staff also came very early, entering the room, turning on the lights, and waking me up several times. One day, I told them I'm still sleeping, and they put a sign on my door to leave me alone, which I didn't notice until I returned that night and the room was still messy. They also didn't replace my towels once ever. Eventually, I took a handful down to the front desk and asked for fresh ones. The woman gave me attitude and asked why I brought them to her. She told me she would call someone to bring some to my room and I asked if they could hurry as I was in a rush to shower and go somewhere, but it still took a good 20 minutes. Finally, the TV's picture sucked, the remote stopped working, and they took at least a full day to bring me a new one. They had a bigger TV by the bar in the lobby, but when I asked if I could watch the World Cup they wouldn't even turn it on.
Pool area, food, rooms, free parking Surly staff, charge for internet, high cost of single occupancy room
food was excellent i had a problem regarding the billing with this hotel. I did the booking through you at one price, and when I came to check out they wouldn't accept the agreed price. I am awaiting my credit card bill to see what they actually charge me. Obvioulsy if there is a difference I will get in touch with you again. I am very upset about this as It delayed my departure while I tried to resolve the matter, eventually I just left as I was already late.
Meals, mostly supper, were fairly good The staff, apart from one receptionist, were not polite. The hotel was under renovations, and most of the amenities (fitness, spa) were not available at the hotel. The exchange rate from us Dollars to local curency was worse than the one given by 2 other currency exchange places in Town. Since it's officialy fall, a/c is turned off, and guests are told to open the balcony door if hot. Posted hours of operation for the kids play area were not observed.
I liked the hotel's facilities, location to the beach and the local attractions.
Convenient location - walking distance from the airport None
Hotel staff courteous. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Asked the front desk for a wake up call in the morning but did not get it.
Excellent and low cost hotel!!! The buffet is great!
The booking had been prepaid but when we got there we were told we needed to pay for it. The receptionist became very rude and offensive until it had been all sorted out. It was all unecessary and didnt make us feel very good.
food is exelent. stuff throughout the hotel is ignorant, though desk stuff is very good. room on 8th floor is crapy.
Excellent food (we had bkfast and supper buffets; our bkfast was included in price, supper $20 adult, $10 child), helpful manager; great, cold a/c in a hot place; evening entertainment and short kids clubs which I was not expecting, rooms nice for the inexpensive price, pool area nice; towels available at pool and even to take with you to beach; convenient location; rooms very quiet, we didn't hear any outside noise, including the airport. An hour to check in! Housekeeping spotty... Public areas fine, our room sometimes cleaned ok, sometimes not. Cannot pull up to front door to unload luggage... 3 "no parking" parking spaces a short distance from front door where I unloaded, then free parking behind hotel, distance about a city block. Only one luggage cart, took a while for it to turn up for me to use. Also, there is a hot water boiler, but you have to pay extra for the instant coffee, etc. Also you can purchase water for the drinking water dispenser in your room for I think 25 nis ($5) for 11 liters.
Friendly staff. Good view from the penthouse suite. Loud air condition from the buildings on other side of the street. Room needs a renovation.
there was a lot of shops nearby and had many options of eat and drink, the beach was in walkable distance, quiet and pretty good choice for the money,i recommend was written that my deluxe room was on 7th floor but was on 6th,with small balcony.at night some people get drunk at late night , i saw someone running after someone else with a brick but nothing serious.
Breakfast was with a lot of choice. Location was very central. Very close to airport, beaches, promenade, supermarket, postoffice, change offices, mall etc... Airconditioning in the room worked well. Room had a great terrace with sea and airport view. But I can recommend this hotel only for one night stopover. Hotel was very crowded and customer profile was at bottom. They gave us a room in 8th floor however elevators working only till 7th. I had to deal with all the luggages, our baby, the stroller etc... Usually it was impossible to catch an elevator because kids plays. My wife liked the room so I didn't bother to change for two nights. I paid 50 NIS extra for baby bed however it's mentionned free. I was so tired (5 hours drive from Tel Aviv) that I didn't want any discussion and just paid it. Certainly not recommandable who is searching for a quiet, calm and peaceful place.
The Rio Hotel was well situated near the main attractions in Eilat. A short walk to the beach and shopping areas was easy and simple to navigate. The airport is 2 minutes away for those who choose to fly down. The Hotel is across the street from cafes and stores. The pool is beautiful and well maintained with sun filtering in most of the day. The large beach umbrellas are very helpful in keeping the hot afternoon sun at bay. The buffet breakfast offers many items and provides a healthy start to the day. We found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were simple and reasonable for this type of hotel. The only problem we had was finding the hotel. The sign was not obvious to us as we drove by it when we first came to Eilat. Parking is available but it is a short walk from the hotel.
Loved that it had parking and that it was so close to the promenade. Super comfortable bed as well. Check in took way too long. Did not realize there would be so many kids!
Excellent hotel with beautiful garden and swimming-pool. Huge suite with everything available you can think of. We were a family a three and I can only recommend this hotel for families.
The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely warm. The room was beautiful and the facilities were very well maintained. It was perfect for families with small children and we will definitely stay there again! Everything was great!
The flowers and plants within the grounds were beautifully maintained, and there was plenty of space to find a quiet spot to relax.
its good for families, very close to the beach
Size of the room
extremely clean and comfortable
Big suites, very nice location, pretty litle heated pool for small ones, The food is satisfactory, would not opt for a full board, every possible restaurant available within 3 minutes walk. Posh shoping area in the lobby area of the hotel, new entertainment complex "king city" jus a walk away. We stayed with 2 kids, so it was a good choice. Other hotels with family suites were full somehow. Out of season - some facilities closed. Some minor maintenance problems like open electricity wires or parking gate cards not fixed for a week. Outrageously expensive wifi for a digitalized country!!!!
The room and bathroom were clean and well equipped with what we needed (for example, there were enough surfaces to place things on and enough hanger for towels and clothes, and even a clothes rack to dry our wet swim suits). I also liked that the outside, where WiFi signal was stronger, there was a picnic table set amidst trees. Also, it had convenient parking. It was a little hard to find, because the street the hotel is on is a one-way street, and the street sign is hidden. But that would not be a problem if you use more advanced devices than scribbled directions taken from google maps.
