good location; the reception staff (especially the 2 girls that did my check-in and which work in the late afternoons/beginning of night) were extremely nice and careful; good breakfast;
The executive deluxe does worth the money. The room is extraordinarily clean. Receptionists and hotels boys are very helpful. The location is perfect. Restaurants and shoping areas are nearby.
location. room was quiet. ir room Internet. service level in the restaurant.
Third time in this hotel, and I'll repeat for sure
Good hotel in the non Western side of town where you won't get ripped off for food and drink. Hotel was very clean, breakfast was excellent and the staff were really friendly. Not like the expensive hotels on the other side of HCM city there's a nice vibe around the area with lots of travel agents where you can book trips etc. Nothing to complain about
The staff were excellent, very friendly and very helpful if you wanted advice on where to eat and what to do. They even made restaurant and tour bookings for you, and the tour were not expensive either. The nightclub on level one is noisy if you are staying on levels two or three. Fortunately, we were staying on level seven :)
Central location in District 1. Great breakfast. Everything you need around the corner. Friendly staff. I will stay there again, next time. If you are on leisure, arrange your own taxi transportation..if the hotel arranges for you, it is more expensive then if you do it yourself.
The bellboys are very helpful, especially they help guests have problem to cross the busy street acorss the hotel. Some of the reception staffs are not so friendly when they are busy i.e they don't smile. Their service is quite slow when checking out.
the massage the noise from the air-condition central unit out side my window
what i like is convenience for tourist to shop and eat what i dislike is during my stay i request for a 30min to use the shower room after my half day tour and i have an early check out at 8am instead of 12pm an go for my half day tour and the staff told me i have to pay to use the shower room and the breakfast is cold
The lcoation was good and the door staff were helpful The room was dingy and the breakfast wasn't good. The table had little bugs running around and it was dirty.
friendly staff, very good buffet breakfast for the less price, there are hundreds of options in the same area, with the same quality, so after staying in elios the night we had reserved, we found a hotel (liberty 3) just 20 metres away with the same characteristics that was 30% cheaper, so we moved.
Clean rooms, good breakfast with a lot of choice and a nice view to the city (12.th floor), helpfully staff, very central in city. A few rooms have only very little windows where you can't see anything. Loud in the morning, the walls are clairaudient (the room-service starts early, so you might wake up)
The situation of the hotel in the center was perfect to visit saigon. The staff was really nice. The room was interior and in the 3rd floor, the noise of the machines was enoying
good value for money. staff were good. got upgraded due to poor room in old part of the building One side of the hotel is extremely damp, with bad smell. I asked for a different room, and eventually got changed into a better room.
Please write at least 15 words a bit smelly.
Good location , staff friendly and helpful ,very clean and comfortable .If I back to Viet nam will be come back this hotel
the hotel was great in general. we only stayed one night but because it is centrally located we were able to get the vibe of the city. airport transfer is highly recommended if you are a first time Ho Chi Minh city visitor the hotel is located on a very busy street, but I can't say this is a downside as the room was quiet and it gives you the advantage of stepping right into the chaotic streets of Ho Chi Minh City
The hotel is beside the Ben Thanh market , we can by tour at the tour desk too easy , staff friendly , hotel clean
Really Good Value for ones'' monies! Pity the the room window was facing the wall of the other block.
Good location, nice breakfasts, small rooms but comfortable. Interesting massages. Noisy rooms at the front side, even in the new block. Small rooms also means it gets warm immediately if you turn off the airco. Computers with internet available, but slow and full of viruses - simply not usable.
Nice hotel, good location , KL spa is greats , staff speak English very well , breakfast buffet is wonderful have a lot of choice. Thanks very much for my holiday.
Excellent staff, good hotel for short break. Decor in rooms looked a little 'tired'.
Seaside, hospitality of the staff. Noise from the children and vietnam guests.
Good location. The hotel was overpriced compared to other hotels in the area.
The location The ridiculously small pool.
Good hotel in the middle of the city. Good service.
Fantastic location, very nice hotel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Restaurant fair to good and breakfast very good. Bathrooms could be updated but they were clean.
Very nice hotel, liked everything
the pool was not on site was across the road and public can use it, was a long way from downtown also close to airport is only advantage.
The staff were very helpful and informative regarding the local area. The hotel was cheaper than central locations and taxi"s into the city centre were very cheap, 10minutes
Staff very helpful in all aspects of our stay. Breakfast selection catered for all nationalities and was superb, Lobby area and bar well layed out with many comfortable chairs to enjoy listening to the pianist in the evening.Resturants on site also very good,as well a good selection near by.
I loved the staff. They were so helpful and accomodated all our needs. They suggested great tours and they had a great fitness center. Would recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay close to everything.
The location: it's perfect for an overnight stay at the airport.
It was quiet and clean
The Staff were gracious and efficient in every department, and the hotel is very clean too. The quality of the food needs to be improved to justify the high cost of staying in this hotel. Costs are justified in room quality and service however the food needs some attention to come up to International standards.
I did not like the airport pickup service,i waited for one and half hour.
I have at the hotel for a few time already but the room i booked on line it's much better When i check in the female attendents are much pleasent to deal then male maybe it's just me
The hotel is beautiful with excellent staff and amenities. The rooms are lovely and the position is fantastic.
A comfortable hotel to say ive stayed at....great great location.
Relax atmosphere,comfort,swimmimg-pool almost nothing, exept the cockroach on the table at the lobby-bar and big rat at the hall ...
location .rooms are good no
Location The breakfast can be improoved
Good location. Located on the main shopping street. Size of the room. Noise from outside and next door. They even woke me up during the night. The service and breakfast was just average. Doesnt worth the $$ I paid. There are much better hotels on the same street for nearly the same price.
We had a "grand suite" ; 100sq m of 1st class accommodation - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large lounge area. Spotlessly clean throughout the hotel . All the staff from the doormen to the waiters could not have been more helpful; always smiling and willing to help. The breakfast choice was top notch, catering for Asian and Western tastes. The hotel also serves lunch and dinner which we enjoyed immensely, with main courses from about £3 to £12 and there are buffets on the 12th floor of the new wing with superb city views. Good length outdoor pool, inexpensive bars and a small "casino", which I didn't use so can't comment on. 7 nights with most meals for 3 (+ up to 4 guests) + extras = $2000. Full marks all round. I've stayed in many hotels and there's usually some niggle, but I can't think of a single adverse point . No noise came through at night, even in its city location.
good location, nice staff, nice swimming pool, lovely place for holiday. the bathroom facility is a little bit old. Airconditioner is a bit noisy
Good location, breakfast choices, helpful staff, good tour options. Avoid rooms overlooking construction projects.
i liked the style and the taste .the people were very friendly especially the people in the bar
Nice gym and pool. Great breakfasts
The Location was ok.. Hotel Staff and Room Hygien was an issue
price of food was too expensive so we decided to skip meals there.
nearness to the central district no wi-fi. staff does not know good english.
They were kind and friendly and tried their best to fulfill my requests. I have seen other hotels during my stay in Ho Chi Minh, and I was glad that I chose to stay here. Perhaps compared to the other hotels, the hotel was located in a slightly far side of the main streets. However, this was not a big problem since things were easily accessible by foot or taxi.
Eventually we appreciate the staff in remedying an major issue. We booked the hotel for 12/31/2015, in order to celebrate the day and New Year Eve night in a 5 star hotel. When we arrived at the hotel and were informed the pool, which was a major key in our booking this hotel, would be closed to guests due to a New Years Eve party being setup at the pool for that evening. We explained that we booked this hotel in order to enjoy the day pool side and diner that evening. In tradition of the Asian culture, we were told repeatedly that the reason was for the setup for the NYE party that night. As if this explanation would 1) resolve our issue and 2) be an acceptable reason as to not be concerned that we were land locked to our room and not out at the pool. We conveyed that we had contacted the hotel directly, prior to booking to 1) confirm that their was no compensatory costs due to the holiday booking and 2) that we would not have anything excluded that would normally be available to guests at the hotel. Such as any construction, pool and spa access. We were told no issues or restrictions. So we booked. After much heated discussion, at check-in, a manager availed and provided a remedy of allowing us to transport, for pool time, to a lesser quality and star level property at their expense of a taxi. In addition, provided us access to a higher level room and lounge service. However, no offer of access to the New Years Eve party at the pool, unless we paid the $50 fee. We appreciate the effort they made but they went kicking and screaming in providing a remedy. Unless we pushed our unhappiness and not settling on how we should be happy to be lied to about the pool access, before booking, we would have not received the appropriate attention a hotel guest should receive from a 5 star hotel. On another note: The guests, and condoned by the floor management, allowed other guests in the adjacent room, to go in and out, back and forth among the multiple rooms with no respect to the amount of noise they made with doors slamming against the dead bolt constantly for 5 plus hours non-stop. I liked the lobby, pool and gym. The guest room was old and outdated. Carpeting was frayed, bathroom fixtures old, hallways smelled very bad due to overuse of air freshener. I wouldn't stay there again unless guest rooms were completely remodeled.
We were pampered with excellent accommodations and good food plus service. We could have stayed a bit longer, 8 days should have been 10 days!
Good location, cleanliness of facilities and above-average services Too pricey for comparable hotels in the region (and room price does not include even breakfast)! Internet charge is also ridiculous! No mileage given to any hotel/airline frequent customer programs.
nice hotel and good location
Location. Right on new mall and overlooks the Meekong River. Staff tried so hard to assist us and the breakfast was supreme. Our room was very good value. The construction of the subway mall outside the Duxton is now minimal and almost fully completed. The staff bent over backwards to help.
Great location, only 20 minutes from airport. Helpful staff and quiet, spacious, rooms. Internet service quite good, compared to may other hotels. Good business hotel.
Location. My boss had reserved my stay in this hotel and guaranteed with his credit card. However, you staff had asked me for my credit card and I gave her but the credit card doesn't work and she requested me to give cash when I don't have usd cash with me. Therefore, I told her that please put the guarantee under my boss credit card but when it come to check out I will pay it myself. She just doesn't understand me as upon my return to my hotel room there was a message that I have to go to the counter to verify that I will pay the check out myself. Unbelievable isn't it? The very next day when I checked out my credit card works just fine!
The steep increased price compared with previous stays.
Location and ambiance Breakfast ( rich and satisfactory ) being displayed on the rooftop is affected by the sun and flies , not a pleasant sight...
Central location, helpful staff, excellent breakfast. We were upgraded to a suite without asking for it. nothing to complain about, we were staisfied
Excellent location. Front desk staff aren't friendly. More expensive compared to other hotels with the same quality nearby.
Friendlyness of the staff and location
Excellent 5 star hotel with a very French feel about it. Great views of the river from our room but not all rooms have this view. The room was spaceous and exteemly comfortable but the bathroom didn't have a separate shower compartment. You had to shower in the bath. The staff were very helpful and all spoke good English. Excellent breakfast buffet but because it's mostly outdoor seating this is limited if it's raining. Walking distance to most of the city landmarks and some great shopping right outside the hotel. Highly recommended. There were several places where you could get a drink but there was no 'really good' bar.
great position, lovely old building some of the staff very good, some miserable and not good. We had a problem with a taxi that was called in front of the hotel, the security explained where to take us, the driver did not know where to go, afetr driving around for about an hour we went back to the hotel and had to pay full ammount, when we complained about this, with the driver and concierge of the hotel, the concierge did not help us at all and was quite rude and aggresive!
Style, atmosphere Road noise
its location, the fact that it is an old hotel and has been renewed, it has some history
I found the hotel to be one of the best I've stayed at. The check in process was simple and quick (and ready 15 minutes after I made the booking online). The room was well maintained and the staff courtious and attentive. I would have no hesitation booking with this establishment again. Food service was excellent The elevator was a little slow but this was a very minor inconvenience.
For a stay of 5 nights we asked for a twin-bed room quiet and with good light. Our room was a queen-bed room with a no-view window to a backyard, the windowglass was whited, if we opened it we could only see dirty canroofs. The room was on the 4th floor, just under the kitchen or cuproom where breakfast was prepared, everyday before 6.00 am.we were awoken by the sound of the maiden shooes. The room had very bad natural light, in the afternoon we needed to turn lights to be able to read. Brekfast was served till 10, even in the weekend, and 10 minutes before 10.00 they were allready preparing closing.
Nice hotel, an oasis in the busy noisey city. Waiting staff were not very polite unlike the rest of the staff.
luxury, convunient, good restarants, excellent service
Club service with meals all waking hours is great!
Good city hotel. Close enough to city center. Nice pool on the roof.
The greeting from the staff, extremely helpful we relly enjoyed the experience. The change rooms poolside where in a shanbles, very disappointing
Location is a 5 minutes taxi ride from main area of town, staff are excellent however the rooms could do with updating a little
I would actually consider this a 'luxury' hotel by HCMC standard. Interior decor and ambience are classy and posh, and pretty well-maintained. Location is a little out of the way from the main city attractions and shopping but the hotel provides half-hourly one-way shuttle bus to the trade tax centre and benthanh market. Definitely not a budget hotel, but worth a stay if you're on a business trip or feeling like pampering yourself.
the middle of the city centre and international standard
we would like swimming in the pool and have a breakfast
It was good for the most part Rooms way too small‼️‼️‼️
Service oriented, friendly while remaining professional, good selection of services spa, restaurant, bars and reception, free WiFi. Lighting in the bathroom was poor and decor of bathroom is very 90's
we liked everything about this hotel
Size of the room Amenity kit in bathroom Saigon Saigon Bar (Rooftop) -
This hotel is nice enough and has a fantastic location. We had just stayed in Singapore earlier in the week and thought there was no comparison. If you really want to spoil yourself- try the Park Hyatt right across the street. Everything was good- just not amazing. I might also try New World Hotel or the new Intercontinental. The location for both New World and Intercontinental aren't as good but the Intercontinental is brand new and may have higher standards. I believe the New World is foreign owned and managed. No glass showers, difficult to use key in elevator, room smelled a bit. While they tried, I didn't feel like it was really 5* service.
Excellent facilities and location. Food is superb. Highly recommended!!! None
The bed is comfy..
The Hotel Location is very good, very close to shopping malls, easy access to the rest of the city. highly recommended for Business Trip. Hotel staff don't speak good English (very poor pronunciation).. difficult to communicate.
I think it is arguably the best located hotel in HMC. The rooms were large, clean and well serviced and had the biggest bed that I have seen. Nothing worth mentioning but if I want to nitpick then the restaurants are not up there with the best.
Central to business district, restaurants, close to airport and very efficient quality hotel All ok
The most enjoyable part of my stay was after checked out and left the building. I am afraid to inform you my stay was quite unsettling, mainly due to the reception and staff being quite unfriendly.
My room overlooked the park which was very pleasant. Very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to most locations.
Great location to all the great Saigon sights
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, particularl the front door men, the lady who cleaned my room, and the front desk staff. no fault of the hotel, but the noisy traffic outside was the only complaint
Pretty ok staff who speak good English. Excellent house keeping, amazingly big room for that price. Very poor breakfast for the European taste, avoid the rooms at the park side of the hotel, since there is a group who practice morning gymnastics with very loud music from 5 am. Impossible to sleep!!!!!
I staed with my family in Deluxe room, it was specious enouph for my 13mth son. The breakfast was excellent, every day was new adds-on of meat dishes. The massage centre was very bad, i placed an appoinment but was not get in.....without any reason...Also you can hear noise in the morning from the main road and it is quite a distance to the popular Ban Than Market.
Very good positioned to explore the City walking. Very big room but quite noisy at night (old windows), bathroom somewhat oldfashioned. Breakfast itself was good in a nice location (patio) which was, hoewver, very noisy due to all the aircon machines.
Good location, decent value for money a little noisy and service (one receptionist in particular) can be improved
Historical style hotel (1880) with excellent location (Opera view). Fair value for money. Nothing special except of it's history. No pool.
the hotel was in a very central location and we felt was good value for the room rate. All staff very very helpful would like breakfast to be continued to later time 10.30am
A spacious, character-filled, historic hotel in the perfect location to explore central Saigon. Every hotel we visited in Vietnam shared the same trait - a harder-than-average mattress.
Great location, very spacious rooms with nice wooden furniture and luxury decoration
The hotel is in a very good position and looks very clean and attractive externally. The bathrooms need updating. Our bathroom was very old and smelled musty.
The main advantage of this hotel is that it is centrally located. And for those who like staying in a hotel full of "history", this is the place, but do not expect service up to international standards. Staff is not really welcoming and behave like civil servants. Rather poor breakfast for this category of hotel.
The location is perfect and I liked the colonial style of the hotel (built in 1880). Some facilities could be renewed (e.g. the showers are rather poor). We had to change room twice. The first room (twin beds only) was on the 1st floor and by far too noisy with a window facing the hotel bar. The 2nd room was on the 2nd floor and great with a blacony to the courtyard. However, the shower broke at 3am and we had to change to another room which was not as good as the 2nd one.
the concierge very helpfull, wiffi working well and free access even in the room
The rooms were really nice and spacious we loved it. The pool was lovely. They do not have any restaurants. The breakfast was good different every day.
Its a great value hotel in a reasonable location, perhaps not quite as well located as some of the better know HCM hotels but represents much better value. The apartments are huge. Having to go to the coffee shop nearby for breakfast wasn't great, choice very limited. There are no C Stores anywhere around the hotel so if you feel like a late drink drink or snack its a long walk.
Calmness for beeing in such big city.
The breakfast was very good, however the pool was no working, a fact that impacted on our holiday- and our belief of what was available at the Hotel. Some staff no helpful, seemed to be present but not available or willing to assist. The price of transport to an from airport was excessive compared with local prices, and reflected poorly on the Hotels image.
