Amazing location, nature, sea view, very romantic, very comfortable room with jacuzzi, normal breakfast, bus station. All what you need for good holiday in belle Isola Ischia :) No
the location was idyllic - very picturesque outlook across to the castle. Staff were quite aloof and not as welcoming as expected by a hotel of 4 star grading. It seems that nglish customers are rare, so the staff struggle - compared to German guests who are regular (and so info/materials are in the hotel for them). At dinner there were no prices shown on menu?? It costs EUR 35 each excluding wine (4 courses , and pretty good actually).
I loved the rooms. They consider them deluxe but they are great upper class four star. Rooms are clean, comfortable with hydro-massage tub and shower. Do not stay in the standard rooms (as they describe them) they are lower 3 star. Staff has little knowledge of languages and since it is family owned really doesn't provide too much customer service. Could use improvement
View from the balcony was spectacular. There is a lot of places for relaxing in the hotel garden. Bus station "Cartaromana" is right in front of the hotel entrance. Small internal swimming pool is a good place to relax in the evening. Hotel was in the middle of reconstruction, but it was compensated with very low offseason price (nevertheless they could clean some stuff in the garden). Furniture inside the hotel is overornamented.
The beach was swimmable in November, soft coral by the dock. Great view onto the castle, with lovely balcony facing the sea catching the morning sun. You could jog to the castle in an easy 20 minutes. The furniture in room and hotel was 'old school' gorgeous. Front desk staff helpful and pleasant. It was a short walk inside walk to the thermal baths, fantastic for skin. Quite (plesantly) empty off season. Definitely a 4 star location. Location is a bit 'end of the line' probably an hour's walk from Ischia Port. Going rate is 15 euros for a cab. There is an infrequent bus service. ONE WARNING If not on full or half board, beware menu is limited and there are no other options nearby. We were told by unsmiling waiter that there was no choice but the 'boarder' food. They tried to charge 35 euros for a ratty piece of bream, a bit of fresh spaghetti, some fruit and a cold vegetable buffet. For contrast I paid 8 euros for fresh mussels in town. Waiter was 70% basil fawlty surly and 30% manuel comedic. One sub par experience...but still a lovely place.
I liked the fact that the staff were very accomodating and the room was lovely, didn't think it would include a piano!
Placement, with adorable view of sea no free wi-fi, rather sleepy staff
It was much farther from Ischia Porto than the description said. The hotel room was horrible. A weak three star hotel is more accurate than four.
Very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Wonderful Shower in bathroom. Excellent view from hotel room.
Amazing location, beautiful spacious room with a sea view. Great facilities and right next to a bus stop for easy access into Ishia Porte and Ponte. The staff were helpful and I suspect we were upgraded as we were onour honeymoon. Very happy customers!!!
Facilities, proximity to the Port, friendly and efficient staff
Excellent location near the port and shopping & pedestrian areas. Local gastronomy just around the corner. Room with seaside view gives you permanent picture of intensive marine life. Nice sun terrace on the roof. Generally hotel is simple but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is too small and unvaried.
Very friendly staff Bed was very hard
the staff was extremely helpful and friendly; our room was randomly upgraded to sea-view with private terrace when we had booked a without sea-view room; towels and sheets were turned everytime that we left the room and we got chocolates on our pillows; loved the welcoming drinks and snacks we received also. i cannot say i have any complaints at all.
Wonderfull hotel. We stayed 3 nights before Easter, at a very low rate. Although we booked a room without seaview, we were upgraded and got one of the best rooms in the hotel, due to low season, with a large roof-terrace (room nr. 404) overlooking the harbour and sea (like rooms 401-403). Great service, friendly staff. Thermal pool: first floor. Swimming pool on the roof. Clean and comfortable. No.
Staff, facilities and service were all excellent. We were treated like friends throughout our stay. Personal service and attention to detail was most evident at the Aragona, which stands out as one of the most pleasant hotels I've stayed at. I would recommend this place. Being only seconds away from the bars and restaurants means there are some inevitable sounds of liveliness in the evenings. It goes with the the territory.
The hotel is ideally situated next to the harbour, the shops and restaurants. We had a harbour view, and I think it is worth paying the extra as other rooms look out over buildings.
nice people, ready to assist with requests, great room with a sea view and a terrace no WiFi access to the Internet
Great location! Staff was very attentive.
Polls with warm water (1 internal, 1 external) ; confort of the room ; breakfast (with a lot of cakes) ; efficient and kind staff ; nice location (in the port, close by the embarquement wharf but quiet) a pool closing time a little bit later (now 7:30 pm) would be gorgeous
The hotel staff were excellent and the rooms very clean and comfortable the breakfast was extremely limited, could be made a lot better, no variety. Beach and pool facilities very limited space, evening food just ok , we both felt that the hotel would benefit from some new ideas, I would say that they have done things the same way for years. Evening entertainment repetative and boring, again could be better presented. No information on the island attractions we had to ask for this. Bar staff excellent. Value for money average
The location is great and the convenience of the facilities of the hotel are also good.
The personell of the hotel is very friendly and the views from the hotel are also very nice .The hotel is very close to the beach and see . The hotel is a bit outdated but that also gives it a bit of a old colonial style.
The pool was very nice and our room was small but comfortable. Reception staff were helpful, although they spoke very little english. The spa baths were nice. The hotel was very clean and well looked after. Shower was luke warm and not powerful. Restaurant and bar staff were not particuarly friendly or helpful. Breakfast was average. The hotel beach is very small and is very crowded. The bar appeared to close at different times each evening and therefore could not get a drink on some occassions.
This Hotel is in a very quiet part of the resort, staff were friendly and helpful ,breakfast was 1st class-great coffee, pool and spa facilities were good. When i arrived i was told there was a problem with my booking(which i made 6 weeks before) and they could not accommodate me for the 1 st night of my 7 night stay and i would have to stay at a nearby hotel for the 1st night, they put this down to a problem with Booking .Com.i was given a free taxi to this hotel which to my mind was not as good as Villa Durruili, though i was charged the same rate for this night as for the 6 nights at Villa Durrueli. As a way of apology i was given a free massage in the hotels' Spa.The room i was given was on the ground floor juast off of the bar area,on the website it stated that single rooms were on the second and third floor.I would stay t this hotel again but i think i would make my booking via telephone.
Excellent location. good food. spa is a great extra. almost all staff very friendly and efficinet One mmeber of staff at reception lost her temper and ranted becuase we left wet foot prints on the floor. She was correct to highlight this becuase it made the floor slippery but I do not go on holiday and pay money to be shouted at. a courteous reminder was all that was needed
Very pleasant staff, welcoming and friendly, both in reception and in the dining room. High standards of cleanliness, and well designed public areas. We would certainly return. Disappointed that the spa was not available during our stay due to refurbishment. This may have been notified to those booking directly with the hotel, but did not appear on Bookings website
Paola and the staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic and were truly focussed on providing the best customer care. The bathrooms in the rooms could benefit from a little refurbishment.
The advice we got from the night porter on our first night was perfect for us. We could plan our days out that evening with his help. We would have liked to use the bar on the roof top but maybe it was closed as we might have arrived slightly off season.
the facilities, the indoor whirlpool is awesome, the sauna...we loved it. the breakfast buffet is good we did not know about the dinner dress code, because we only brought beach wear... the food room service is not adviceable, the sandwiches we got we're dry
Staff were excellent -always helpful and welcoming -food was good -pool was excellent, very clean and well presented with good chairs /shade Rooms were small, sea view was limited, bar area small & did not open so no evening/night social activity in hotel
Wellness center room was nice but very very cold
Good location in a quiet area, but near enough to transport links with the rest of the island. Professional staff who were polite and did their job well. Excellent food. Good facilities, for a fairly small friendly hotel.
all was really great! nothing
Fantastic location, good facilities, Difficult for people with problems walking - you had to call a golf cart (of which there were only 1 or 2 to get anywhere)
Beautiful grounds and access to beautiful cove with refreshing water Service was outstanding at pool and at restaurant Very responsive to all requests. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were a bit cramped. Although could be considered a plus you were isolated to rest of island We did rent a car one day. Some trees should have been trimmed that blocked sea view from our room.
Beautiful resort, with gorgeous views. Staff and service were impeccable. Wish we could have stayed longer. A lot of steps.
The common spaces and the pool were very nice. Breakfast was nice too. / Abbiamo molto apprezzato la piscina e il decor dell'albergo. Per colazione c'era un'ampia gamma di prodotti (dolci e frutta fresca). The hotel was too far from the harbour, the shopping centre and the beach (15 min with public transportation+walking). The lower rate rooms (situated at the far end of the pine woods) are difficult to reach with luggage and are far from the four stars boasted by the hotel (dark, old, stuffy because of the low ceiling). / L'albergo era troppo lontano dalla spiaggia e dal centro. Inoltre, le stanze vicino la pineta (piccole, basse, per niente luminose) non sono assolutamente all' altezza delle quattro stelle dell' albergo.
Private room, nice pools, good breakfast, pretty friendly staff, beautiful environment, wonderful garden, pretty good situation. Strict regulations for swimming (you couldn't swim whenever you want), too warm water in swimming pools, not refreshing at all.
Very nice and relaxing spahotel, suitable for all ages and types of travellers. A well kept toursim secret suitable for couples, conferences and elderly. Excellent pool and spa facilities for the aged travellers with a professional helpful service from staff. As a conference organiser, I think this hotel offers excellent facilities for smaller niche conferences and good pre-conference facilities or during siesta breaks. Might review coming back to look at the hotel to organise my conferences around. It is important that the drunk/group/teeager tourism does not blend with the current set-up or crowd. So far the large tour operators are out of this hotel, making it a romantic get-away for all others not bothered by mass tourism.:)
extremely clean, staff attentive, good facilities if anything, the location
Range of facilities, grounds and felt safe in the location. Difficulty with getting a sunbed as other guests had blocked up beds by putting towels on them a considerable time before actually using them. Hotel requested not to take breakfast food out of the dining room but we regularly saw guests with rolls, fruit, sandwiches and one woman actually took tin foil in which to put her sandwiches!
beautiful grounds and pools, great relaxing......children were not an additional charge spa was closed on Sundays and afternoons, location a bit far from town but bus stops close
2 pools + great breakfast, nice room. Staff not particularly friendly/ helpful.
The Swimming Pools, Good English being spoken at Reception and the Concierge and the Spa. Also breakfast and rhe choice there. We did not find the Evening Meal particular good and felt that the dining room would be better smaller.
The thermal pool was wonderful and very therapeutic. The hotel staff were very helpful and the waiters and maids were very friendly. We were very pleased to have a ceiling fan in our bedroom. I don't think the bedroom and bathroom floor were ever cleaned while we were there. The shower walls could have done with a good scrub. Dinner at the hotel often arrived luke warm.
termal pool ! the breakfast was poorer than at hotel in our country
It was walking distance to the center for Ischia Porto and very close to the beach. It was also easy to catch a bus to travel to the rest of the island. It could have been more luxurious, but for a three star hotel the standard was as expected.
friendly and helpful staff (speak English), a basic room for a very good price
The Staff at Hotel Eurpoa were welcoming and friendly. The Room was in an excellent location with a view of Ponte and was kept clean and serviced throughout our stay. The pool was a nice change and refreshing too ! and the location was good with the choice of Porte or Ponte within easy walking distance as well as the lovely beaches, will hopefully get back one day !
Nice and quiet atmosphere, good location, helpful staff, great dinners.
friendly and helpful staff - thermal pool - relaxed atmosphere - location
The fact that the hotel is situated in a very central place!!!! No air condition...
Ideal location, excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially the thermal pool an experience not to be missed. It was great. The ceiling fan was not quite adequate enough to give a comfortable night's sleep during the hot weather.
They upgraded our room and gave us a discount for no reason! We were given a fabulous suite with living room, espresso machine, 2 bathrooms and french doors onto a private rooftop patio with furniture and a great view of Rome......it was amazing. plush carpet in halls and stairs were very old and need replacing
Very nice hotel with a warm typical family- atmosphere. Location very central for busses and boats. Nice view over the harbour. The hotel could easily make the great roof-terrace a lot more attractive.
Great location for a short break, 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Excellent access for buses and shops. Great family run hotel
Room was cleaned everyday Decor was outdated, torn bed sheets, thin walls
It is located very close to the harbour where the aliscafo and traghetto from Napoli arrive, in Ischia Porto centre, so location is really convenient.
Location, close to the port where the ferries arrive and leave, close to shopping and restaurants, close to bus stop and sightseeing. Clean place, family style. Quiet place. The staff at breakfast was not very friendly
Very helpful staff at reception. Good central location. Excellent restaurants nearby. Unwelcoming staff in dining room for breakfast.
Location is perfect: Villa Maria is close to the port, beach, promenade, shops, supermarket and bus station. You can order lunch/dinner for 15 Euro at the hotel, delicious choice, home style, new menu every day. Room was spacious, even with a fridge and rigrously cleaned. Stuff was happy to provide any information we needed. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria.
Close proximity to port. Staff were friendly and helpful. But breakfast was really disappointing. When I complained about a problem with water pressure in the shower, they immediately offered me another room. Appreciated the hotel's swift response.
Good location right in the center of Ischia town, 300m from the port. Nice and helpful staff. Would use again.
Staff were really great, room was nice with lovely private patio - outdoor space (private beach etc) was incredible. It's in a great location too. We ate in the restaurant which was expensive and really terrible. It was a real disapointment in comparison to the rest of the hotel.
the view the air conditioning did not work, luckily the weather was cool or we would have been forced to move
Extremely friendly and welcoming personel; wonderful position right at a cliff and wounderful views across the sea from the room terrace; sunbathing right at the sea at the private hotel beach; very well connected by bus to all important sights and cities!
Warm service, all ok No aircondition, no computer
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Don Pedro, it is a friendly family run hotel with an excellent customer service. I would recommend this hotel to everybody seeking a quiet holiday. N/A
Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, good spa Dinner could be served outside
It was friendly staff. Excellent dinner, good SPA. Nothing
The hotel is beautiful and in a great location to get to the port of Ischia and the rest of the island. There are lots of local restaurants and easy access to the sea front, really lovely. The age of the other occupants was generally in the 70's or older, so don't expect lively evenings.
good breakfast for Italy, good location (20 min steps from main port), termal pool is free for charge, good bathroom poor gym, internet is not free
My sister and I had the water front room with the balcony and it was very nice and comfortable. The uninviting look of the spa pool because the water was discoloured and rusting pipes were visible. Also, the water was tepid.
the beach is rather small
We had a very nice view from our room even though we didn't ask for a sea-view room! The view of the "Castello Aragonese" was simply gorgeous! The beach...if it can be called a beach! It belonged to another hotel, a 5*, but it was very small and the water was always washing off the sand under our sunbeds. They could do better!
Hotel staff Facilities

A very pleasant hotel at the edge of the sea in Ischia Ponte (despite Google maps who have this wrong) . I had a single room that was quite spacious as these things go. The bathroom had every necessary piece of equipment although was quite small, however the single room could be used as an extension. The bed was comfortable, there was little if any noise from the road outside and the airconditioning worked well. Service was excellent. I did not try the "spa" facilities as they don't interest me, one being male and two, being past redemption. I did eat in the restaurant, and found it a very pleasant experience, good food and placed on a extension over the sea. The "beach" is small if you want to play with the sand, however plenty of sun loungers available for those who needed them. Restaurant might have been more geared to those on half-board in that the menus didn't carry any prices. Not a great problem but you need to either watch what you are ordering, or have a deep enough pocket at the end.
The hotel was delightful and staff helpful and courteous. The weather was not good .
the best experience at this hotel was the breakfast at the roof with a gorgeous view on Aragonese castello.. it was also nice that they offered us a room with sea view although we booked a regular one with village view, of course they charged us the same price... the beach is not good at all and generally the sea facilities even in the 4 stars neighbor hotel was better.. they have a swimming pool and thermo pool with the same beach.. but the beached are generally not that good at Ischia ponte area, we used to go to forio, lacco ameno or to the south for a better experience...
The hotel now had satelite tv with flat screens.....also free wifi in the lobby....reception staff is very friendly. Hotel is 300 meters from the best restaurant on Ischia....O Sole Mio
Helpful staff. Great location.
Nothing really special could be mentioned Small territory - hotel is actually on the busy street of the town Ischia; very small beach - tiny beach located in between two public beaches extremely overcrowded, poor swimming facilities - you swim in between hundreds of motorboats packed in front of the beach; poor location, small rooms
I have stayed there before so the familiarity was the best part - the view is fantastic! There is a lot more you can do in the hotel, as the hotel is connected to the Mare Blu next door but did not find this out until the last day - also evening dinner used to be served out side which I enjoyed very much now this has been cancled
Great views and location Rooms were dated for price, staff not forthcoming with information about hotel and it's facilities. Felt that for price hotel did not represent good value for money
hotel staff very helpfull and spoke good english Food was not good quality. Menu was not varied. We had Sea Bass 4 nights in a row. Room had cobwebs in corners. Bed was creaky and very hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom shower not very good - weak shower and poor rose spray. We had ants in the bathroom. Funny smell from kitchen in our room - vents connected. Balcony small for a superior room. Air conditioning did not work very well. Drinks at bar expensive. No computers available for internet access. Spa treatments expensive.
Gardens and thermal pool areas, dining room and terraces Spa treatment areas out of date and dreary, pillows on beds too hard, no entertainment, guest information only in German and Italian and pool bar and bar had no menu's on display and when a menu was found this had no prices.
The staff were great. The area is very clean.
Nice views and reasonable confort standards. Good restaurant menu at reasonable prices. Hotel well located, although nothing (beach, pedestrian area, ...) is really close to it. The breakfast buffet is not at the level of a 4* hotel. Internet wireless connection was absolutely collapsed all day long.
Nice quiet location, but close to the city ncenter. Good facilities, nice garden.
pillows were old, no water pressure in the shower, floor were dirty, air conditioner was not blowing cold air
Travel around Ischia Island and use the Hotel facilities(spa, pool etc)
Enjoyed dinner in their restaurant. Nice entertainment after dinner We were very disappointed in our room. It was musty and felt unclean. We had asked for a terrace view. We were on the ground level with bushes blocking our view. Our hotel clerk was stressed and had already showed us an even worse room before this one. After climbing many, many steps we just settled for the second room he showed us. We had arrived early and they told us that it was too early to check in. When we returned we were told they didn't have anything left. It was ironic that the restaurant had a dress code and our room was a one star.
The view of the port & coast line from the room balcony was fantastic. The hotel staff were verry friendly and courteous. Reception staff, even when busy, had time to answer questions and offer knowledge about the island. Restaurant staff verry efficient and welcoming. Easy to get to and from other parts of the island as the bus stop was right outside main gate. There was nothing I did not like during my stay but I felt the rooms were a little tired and dated (although the maid kept the room tidy & clean). Noise was a slight problem when people in rooms next door walking about in shoes on tiled floors at 5am!! Guess theres nothing one can do about that.
Location, view from the room. The service and staff is horrible, I have never met such un unkind staff, you have to pay for their every smile, if you pay for all their offers, then they are kind, if not, it is your problem. They lost my husband's expensive T-shirt and didn'e even apologize. The answer was" what can I do, I can do nothing", I was shocked at this and when I asked to connect me to the general manager, they solved the problem saying she didn't speak English, that was what they did. Horrible service, I don't recomment going there definitely.
The view from the room towards the gulf of Napoli, good air-condition, good sized bathroom. Nice to have the ability to swim in the ocean in a private area (long stair down from the hotel). Easy access to/from the port area (20 min hike). You need to wear swim caps in the swimming pool and it was smaller than expected. The 'beach' 500 m from the hotel (as per the hotel's website) is not really a beach but large rocks you can sit on.
Large terrace - nice view - kindfull reception - use of internet The supplement I had to pay for dinner was 39 € for a simple 3 course menu.In the other hotels I paid a supplement of 12 € (in the 3 *** hotels) and 13 € in a 4 **** hotel - same period (november) and same region (island Ischia)
1 beautiful environment 2 clean room 3 good service 1 transportation not convenient
The view and location is great. And the food in the restaurant is good.
Nothing, people rude, hotel dirty, pool was empty and in disrepair. Rooms and facilities remind of a basic back-packer hostel. They refused to let us leave a half an hour after our arrival unless we pay for the accommodation, they also witheld our passports. We will report this facility to the Italian tourist body and government. The description of thier facilities are blantant missrepresentation and we were informed that we were not the only people who left once we saw the facilities seeking alternate accommodation. Bookings.com must investigate! We found alternate facilities at the same price that was 110% better that their facilities just a short distance from their address. We did not like anything and was threatened and intimidated by the management and eneded up paying just to get our passports to be able to leave.
The spa facilities were very nice; the grounds were very well maintained - albeit a bit small (cozy?) by western standards but very nice all the same. The food was good quality and tasty...and the patio where meals were served was great - a beautiful view of the Castello Aragonese and the bay. Because we were traveling with two small chidren (3-year-old twins), we booked a 'quad' room - at a price of 250 euros per night. Our room contained a double bed with a set of bunkbeds stuck in a corner...making it very cramped. I suppose I needed to manage my expectations, but I was disappointed. The other dissapointment was the custom of charging to use a beach lounge chair.
Room was excellent, superior air conditioning, excellent shower, meals were very good, better than most hotels. Pools were wonderful. Very easy access to the port by bus, and staff was very gracious and helpful, giving us bus schedules and lots of helpful information. Beach access, though down many stairs, was good. No, I would highly recommend it and will stay there again. I would have liked internet access, though they do have pay by the hour use in the lobby. Dsl/wifi in the room would have made it perfect. Room had beds for 3 in it, but would have been very crowded with 3 people in it., But good if it were a couple with a child..
Views across the sea and castle Noisy at times; generally catering for Italian and German guests
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location and view beyond gorgeous. The little spa pools were our highlight and the private beach fabulous. A beautiful place!!!!
Very nice hotel in a gorgeous location with friendly staff and good food!
