Staff amazing and SO CLOSE to Everything! Also, very easy to Metro and DCA.
Staff very helpfil. Close to DC metro and attraction
The room was made up in typical Hilton style with decent bedding/bathroom stuff. This hotels has seen better days. One of the elevators was out of service (seemingly for a long time - a piece of tape covering the outside) the button to the elevator was cracked, and the whole thign was worryingly slowly and creaky. The room itself smelled musty - like it hadn't been aired out in years. Outside the window was the HVAC system which was *loud*. It was a crazy-horrible room. My best guess is that because Kayak booked the room through Priceline Hilton felt it was okay to give me the worst room they could find. I checked out immediately and went to another hotel nearby for the same price, but with a much nicer room and hotel in general.
The hotel was very nice and extremely close to all the sites (just blocks from the White House). The room, service, and location were far above what I would expect for the price. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.
The location and comfort here is great! Overall very good value!! The room was a little tight. Room had empty box of tissues, could of been a bit cleaner, dust.
It was right downtown near the white house and monuments, so we could walk everywhere Everything closes down so it's hard to find a late night restaurant or pharmacy
Excellent location for much of downtown DC. Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.
This is a luxury hotel for an unbelievable price. The hotel is centrally located to about everything you want to see or do. What first caught our attention is the fact that you can look down the street and see the White House just a few short blocks away. Yes, there are a lot of hotels in Washington D.C., but if you are looking for a GREAT hotel at an unequaled price, this is it. This would be our first choice when returning to Washington DC. There was nothing not to like about this hotel.
Friendly, attentive staff. Clean rooms and facilities. Location is within walking distance of many places to eat and a short ride from the national mall. Would stay again. Very cold lobby/restaurant/bar area. Thermostat in room kept malfunctioning. The maintenance guy brought us a space heater at one point. Requested shampoo at one point and three different staff people delivered some three separate times. Very friendly, but obviously some lack of communication. Staff was very apologetic about the thermostat and offered us a variety of comps.
Friendly helpful staff in downtown DC. The air conditioning in the room wasn't very good. It didn't feel like it dropped below 70F while set to 60F in November.
Location is ideal for seeing the museums and monuments. Lobby and restaurant staff are warm and welcoming. If you forget to tip housekeeping each morning, don't expect clean towels.
Nice lobby, courteous staff, comfortable bed. Tiny gym, mold in the bathroom grout, room amenities were average, surprising amount of wear and tear in our room for a hotel in this category.
Very clean, quiet and accommodating.
Large rooms, I had a suite for myself. Nice beds. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Location was fine, in the area of the George Washington University and close to all tourist sights in the city Please change the refrigerator. In was incredibly noisy and I had to turn in off during the nights.
I came down to ride my bike to all the museums and monuments. When I presented my claim ticket for my bike to the bellman my bike had been stolen. I spent 4 hours in the lobby filling out a police report
Location Maids Front desk staff on more than one occasion Very small rooms
Excellent location. Beautiful view of the Washington Monument from our room. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Customer service The sofa sleepers
I liked the late check out option. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The front desk attempted to charge me for wifi even though my reservation included wifi. They expected me to pay or go out to use the public library in the common areas. After a visit back down to the front desk they provided me with an access code.
Location The staff (including management) did not respond adequately to their system being down during check in. Problems like that are expected but management did not issue an apology to all guests waiting in line for 30+ minutes and did not show the urgency to find an alternate way to check in all the guests affected by the hotel's system outage.
The beds are remarkably comfortable. The staff is affable and efficient. My wife left her jewelry in the room. We called once we were home and spoke to Doris. She found the jewelry and called us back right away and will mail the jewelry to us. OVERALL 5 STARS.
60 dollars for valet parking no other option
no self-parking. valet parking only. when I tried to do valet parking, they didn't allow me to do it.
Good deal for the price Expensive car valet and shower heads were in need of repair. Water temp fluctuated too much. I spent more time adjusting it rather than showering
Everyone was very helpful & attentive!
Overall the property was excellent! A foul order in ventilation system.
Good customer service Very expensive hotel. The movies in the rooms are 20$ each. No HBO or any good channels really. Restaurant in the hotel is outrageously expensive (making room service also very expensive). 10$ for bowl of cereal, 25$ for shorts tack of pancakes. Food is really bad too. Like surprisingly very bad. Soggy fries, Bad salads, sandwiches, pizzas
In DC near DuPont circle, but quiet on weekend days. Price of room offers decent value. Super expensive parking, $55/day. Not in the heart of the action in DC.
Very Clean Comfortable beds
Valet parking was extremely slow and expensive
I came in at 4 and there was no water or mini-bar in the room. They told me that if I wanted a Diet Coke I would need to wait until room service was open at 5. In the morning, they didn't fill the breakfast order -- said they didn't get it. This for $400 a night? Hardly 4 star service.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Mayflower. My husband and I were there to renew our vows on our anniversary and the staff were extremely welcoming, making sure our room was ready several hours before normal heck-in hours so that we could get dressed and off to the ceremony in time. I can't think of a single thing that was less than exemplary- the loveliest hotel in DC!
incredible suite for the price... they tried to put me in a regular dbl room when I checked in! Reminded them I had booked and been confirmed by their reservations mgr for a suite with 2 dbl beds.
Beautiful lobby, great DC location, helpful staff, lovely room. A value I don't understand but was happy to have. Lovely room. It was great! As a group we did not enjoy breakfast in the restaurant.
The staff was very freindly and attentive and the hotel itself is beautiful. The fitness center was impressive. There was no wi-fi availbale in our room and we had to pay 13$ per day for internet acess.
god beliggenhed, hjælpsomt personale især vedrørende parkering for få toiletartikler i forhold til standard og pris lidt slidt, f.eks. løst tapet på badeværelse. Boede på to værelser med 10 dages mellemrum, begge værelser noget slidte. Især i forhold til prisen.
Personalet var meget venlige,hjælpsomme og høflige.God betjening.
Meget centralt beliggende
Very comfortable and pleasant stay . Excellent service and perfect location.
friendly staff,premium location.
The room was lovely, and the staff was courteous, helpful and efficient.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic, the staff were very courteous and helpful and all made a point of knowing my 7 year old son's name. Not applicable.
Outstanding service and courtesy were the hallmarks of our stay here. The room was immaculate and well cared for. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to see and do. The conceirge was outstanding in his helpfulness. No coffee maker in the room, yikes, missed that first, fast heart- starting cup.
Location was great. Wonderful room. Two good restaurants with great staff but a bit expensive. All staff members were great! Fitness room was available even in this boutique setting. My son lost his stuffed animal while we were there and they left a new one in the room for him - it made him very happy (they later found his but let him keep the new one, "Freddie". Restaurant was too expensive, especially for breakfast. Fitness room was a bit small.
Very polite & accommodating There was 1 towel for 2 guests each day that required making a phone call for towels everyday. There was no blanket on the bed, just an abrasive comforter that was too hot. The room was never cool enough. We paid for a room with a view, but ended up with a room that looked at a wall.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Miscommunication in the lounge regarding a wine selection, and subsequently being overcharged.
Location, excellent door men. No premium channels. Broken toilet that was "fixed" twice but I had to fix it myself a couple times. No water pressure. House keeping only left us with 1 towel. View of a brick building 6ft from my window. Bar staff were disruptive and joking loudly with doormen while people waited at the bar.
Staff was very friendly and the room was clean, comfortable, and dark at night. At check in my wife asked about a refrigerator since she is pumping and the young lady had one sent to the room. The refrigerator was broken. We were able to make due with ice from the hall.
very comfortable bed and room Most of the staff was excellent but one person was not friendly and didn't make effort to upgrade the room since the door of the room they gave me was broken. A second person immediately changed the room for the better.
I liked everything. The room was modern, well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and spacious bath. The staff was as pleasant and helpful as any I have encountered in some time. The location is great! I ate in the restaurant once and I enjoyed my meal. I look forward to my next visit. The closet space in the room I had was limited and would probably be tight for two people. This is a very small fault in an otherwise very pleasant stay.
The people at the front desk, the concierges, the doormen, and the housekeeps were truly concerned about my comfort and seeing that I had the best possible time in Washington. Your concierges are extremely knowledgeable and took the time necessary to help me find stores and restaurants; making phone calls for me to get things done. My own family doesn't care for me that well! Cannot think of anything. Oh, there is one little thing, the front door to my room, number 302, sticks. I meant to inform the front desk, but it was so insignificant compared to everything else, that I forgot.
The staff and service was first-rate and the location made walking easy to the various monuments and museums. Also the train station was in easy walking distance. I can honestly say that there was nothing bad about this trip...my wife and I had a wonderful time!
Location and cleanliness
God rolig beliggenhed. Giv personalet i receptionen et kursus i venlig kundeservice. Undlad at sælge turistprodukter i receptionen under falske forudsætninger !
The staff was very friendly and knew our names quickly.
very friendly staff and clean room with good linen.location is convenient room too small
The staff are great and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Meticulously clean.
Impeccable service and great location.
The staff were extreamly helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a very good expericance.
- Facilities were great - Hotel rooms comfortable and spacious - Very nice Gym facilities - Front desk staff very welcoming and corporative - Room wasn't ready on time - Staff in lobby area; not so friendly - Corridors were very warm

The front desk staff was the most amazing staff I have ever encountered in my travel experience. Hotel employee was friendly, funny, welcoming, and professional all at the same time. This hotel is in a very nice neighborhood that I highly recomm
Very comfortable, room layout was very well put together. I especially liked the half bathroom! I love modern interior design, which this hotel has; however, we have a 21 month baby and the sharp corners on tables and furniture pieces makes it a dangerous environment for a walking toddler

Bathroom and toiletries. Bed and linens. Location is nice, but not walkable to tourist destinations.
The staff was excellent. We were upgraded to a really beautiful room. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional.
Awesome service. 5-star service. Organic restaurant on-site.
It was excellent clean and good amenities. They also upgraded to a suite upon arrival which was nice.
Excellent customer service
The location The price
My room was very nice and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. The front of house staff were also very cordial. Charging $12.95 per day for internet service is unreasonable, based on the room rate we were charged.
Good location, helpful staff poor plumbing, below average food and very high cost of room service
Rooms needed to be dusted. Mini bar is electronic and not a refrigerator; DO NOT TOUCH or you will be charged.
good location, nice staff
The staff was great and the room was very nice. The breakfast was terrific much better than expected for $1.Ut was a overall great experenice.
It was a clean hotel with nice people. misleading when looking online, it looks bigger than it is. But it wasn't too bad. They do not have complimentary breakfast. It's over priced for what you get.
Comfortable beds and attentive front desk staff. Some inattention to housekeeping in a room with a Murphy bed.
very attentive staff and very positive feeling
very helpful concierge. Decent location
good facilities;helpful staff had to request tea/coffee maker and a refrigerator coffee/milk supplies not replenished daily
It was so busy/ room service was 30 minutes later
Service was excellent They changed me an extra 200 dollars when I checked into the hotel, despite prepaying on Kayak
Location. Easy walk to many attractions as well as to my business destination.
The hotel in a very nice location and the room very comfort. they give to me Room No 403 we can't sleep because of the noise of the air-condations from out side. and the hotel staff are not frindly
I had a very comfortable and modern furnished 1 bedroom apartment. It included a complete, well equipped kitchen and also a washer and dryer--quite luxurious! The public hallways always had a cooking smell--not always pleasant. The smell did not penetrate into the rooms.
I liked the comfort and facilities particularly. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and we were a group of 3 adults. The space was large and comfortable. The heating system was easy to manage and the kitchen area was better stocked with utensils/equipment than the place we stayed in NYC. I was particularly pleased to have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with information. The location was also excellent - just a short walk from the White House and it was an easy walk to most museums etc. Our criticisms of AKA are minor. A "light breakfast" is available Monday to Friday. This is tailored to the American market. We would have found it more usuable if more cereal options and toast were provided.
We like the great location and the friendly and helpful reception staff. Scott from engineering is very responsive and dedicated. The cleaning staff is one of the poorest we have encountered in our travels. Their attitude is surly and their work poor. On our cleaning last cleaning day, 30 July, dirty sheets were left all day in the general hallway just off the elevator and our room was not cleaned. It was cleaned Saturday by a resentful staffer, who did not replace towelling completely and we found out later, threw out or bags we were saving in the cabinet under the sink for our own trash and shopping.
Location - walkable to everything Requested several items - fix drain in tub, additional remote for TV and did not get them.
An apartment feel in a hotel setting. Very comfortable and welcoming. Lots of space and facilities which made for a luxurious end to a 5 week travelling holiday. great position, quiet- 1 block from the white House and a short walk to the National Mall and close to Metrorail.
No maid service
terrace missing breakfast on Sunday
location of the hotel on center of the capital. in the 9th floor on my suite there was very noise left , which have a big sound when arrive to the floor, so he wakeup me of my sleep, many times on every day of my 12th night.
The accomodations were fabulous. Great fitness and business center. Courteous staff and location can't be beat when business at the Capitol. Little trouble communicating with maid.
Location was great. Checkout was advertised as 3:00 PM, We were not able to check into our room until 5:00. When we did check-in we had already pre-paid for a Fabulous Room, but the staff member that was checking us in recommended we switch to a Spectacular Room since we had a young child. He said the Fabulous Room would be too loud due to the location of being on the top floor under the bar. We agreed to change rooms, but were only offered breakfast vouchers which we knew we wouldn't use. After we walked away my husband said he felt like the guy was a used car salesman and that we got played. We went back to the desk and dealt with another employee (Harry) and he switched us back to our original room and said that the room was not that loud.
Great location also amazing views ,fun staff and lobby had nice vibe turns into social setting with a DJ When I arrived was able to get a room right away as requested but it didn't have a view . And had ask the guy that was checking me in if I had a view he says yes I do , I walk in to my room it was a room facing the inside I of the building no view very disappointing so went back down and young lady was able to get us a much nicer room very happy . During the evening they have DJ in the lobby so when out all day and came back you requested your room key in order to get in the hotel not happy about that
Great bed, nice, modern room. Amazing location. Our room had a view of a brick wall, very disappointing. The room service was very poor and very expensive. Travel channel fans, don't come here expecting an amazing sandwich, it is no longer available.
Everything. This place is perfect. It is easily accessible entering DC. The rooms are huge with great workspace. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. And the staff were truly fantastic. This will be my go-to hotel in DC. Nothing. It was great.
Very well located, good price. would have been helpful if the hotel had a concierge
Location and staff were great. Had 1 bedroom suite - great amount of space for a city hotel. The sleeper couch cushions are a little tired and there were crumbs underneath the cushions.
Location Staff 1. The room needed work and updating - bathroom door didn't close, toilet had trouble flushing, stains in the carpet and a mild dew smell. 2. Housekeeping didn't come until called after 4:00 pm!

The staff was amazing!! So friendly, warm and welcoming.
Cool decor. Spacious suite. Fridge and microwave. Some of the desk folks were helpful. Nice public spaces. Hop-on hop-off bus picked up two blocks from the hotel. Near Georgetown, a more laid-back part of DC than near the center. First-floor room close to street. The WORST was the dirty silverware/china they gave us. Also, a security guard talking to the desk clerk at 2 in the morning woke us up.
The very friendly staff. They all went out of their way to give directions, advise on transport, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and also reservedt a king room for when it became available as my wife and I were in a twin queen room due to a late booking. The first room we were allocated had limited kitchen utensils - no sharp knives, no bottle opener etc
It's a nice hotel, but the windows had blinds only and no curtains -- so it was bright as could be inside the room at 6:30 am. A good sleep experience is important in a hotel, and that wasn't possible here. Everything else was good.
This hotel is located between the tourism district and Georgetown, making it easy to walk to both. It is also easy to access public transportation for longer trips. It is clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the elevators was out of service, making for a long wait every time you needed to go up and down.

Friendly service and amenities. None
Great location. Very clean room and bathroom. Great ambiance in the area. The air conditioner in the room would keep automatically changing to the heater setting.
Extremely impressed by staff, facilities, comfort, cleanliness and overall level of quality.
Near perfect stay Everything very pricey, but not out of line with the area.
Overall hotel was in great condition and price was right. Wireless charge of like $15 is ridiculous in this day and age.
From the staff to the amenities, enjoyed the room, restaurant and proximity in DC. WiFi in room should be free and food pricey.
Decent room, nice lobby, comfortable bed slow, to non-existent service in the lobby lounge, room wasnt ready until after 4PM. Rooms are smaller in size, and bathroom is not of the caliber of a 5 star hotel
Facility was quiet, clean and showed a high level of attention to detail. Concierge was very helpful for dinner recommendations and provided a perfect location that was not readily found via standard web based search. Gym staff was inattentive and actually were playing 2 types of music very loudly at the same time!
Very nice hotel. Lobby was well designed and appealing. Room was spacious and welcoming No major dislikes.
Overall, a nice hotel and had a good stay. I especially enjoyed the gym, which was the best hotel gym I've ever tried - had a lifting platform, power racks, and dumbbells going up to 120 lbs. My only complaint would be the daily parking fee, nearly $50 a day. Nearby garages seemed to be charging $20-$25 a day.
Very nice, large, clean rooms. Under construction. Gets noisy well before 8am says it's in Georgetown but really it's east of it. Not a lot walking distance
Good location Several smokers on our floor.
