Drunk Irish drinking in the hot tub. Extremely annoying people.
Nice size room, comfortable bed, short walk to the gondola. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The soap smelt nice Pillows weren't very good
Room was clean, furnishings nice and unit was quiet. I am used to 4 star hotels and this was just fine for a short business stay. I was up for a golf tournament. No restaurant and no views. But not totally needed as both are just at your doorstep. Location may seem a bit off to some who don't know Whistler. But it is in an excellent location steps to the main pedestrian stroll in the village and close to two luxury hotels.
The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. I can say I will most definitely be going back and would highly recommend it to others looking to stay close to the village!!
Relaxed atmosphere, good bike check
Close to village, free GoPro, and great staff. Super thin walls, the door was very heavy and difficult to open, no business room (to check emails, etc), and the bed was way too soft and uncomfortable.
Nice staff. Clean rooms. Good location for people not into skiing (like us). Near great restaurants and bars. Hallway noise seems very loud in the room. Superior King room was a bit smaller than I expected if you are traveling with a lot of luggage.
enjoyed our time and staff very friendly.
Everyone was super nice. The value during this time of year is amazing. The hotel is walkable to everything, and you can rent bikes for free and bike to Alta lake. The rooms were clean and up to date, and the beds were super comfy (perfect after our half marathon). I would definitely stay here again. While the pool area is fine, it's clean and up to date, it's not big or a luxury pool. It's good for a quick dip but thats about it.
Quick check in/out Friendly and helpful staff Central location Reasonable price Pay parking No kitchinette
The hotel is basic. Feels like an Aloft. Not much in terms of imenities. Very basic room. Zero frills. Lobby eas also very cold. Literally.
Location noisey room
Proximity to the village walk -- the main cobblestone street where all the shops are located. Close to the center of town. Bathroom was not clean - even after cleaning staff were through the second day. Hair behind door, and stuff on floor tile. Pool and hottub offer no privacy - windows from restaurant are beside pool.
The Cystal Lodge is one of the orginal Blackcomb Village hotels positioned in the heart of the orginal village. It is literally central to all the shops and resteraunts as well as a short walk to both mountain ski lifts. Excellent place to stay and will even accept pets for a nominal charge. no complaints
The hotel is right in the village, so we were close to coffee shops and the ski hill. We came in the off-season so the village was pretty sleepy, but we were there to relax. The staff was very chatty and warm, and offered us some promotions with local restaurants and shops. Since we were in Whistler for our anniversary, we used one of the promotions to have an excellent meal at Ric's Grill, attached to the hotel. So delicious, and after a stroll around the town we fell into bed. The room was smaller than expected.
That we were left alone and put in a quiet place in the hotel. The parking situation as it costs money. I have never heard of paying for parking at a hotel.
We went on our 1 year anniversary, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They gave us a complimentary bottle of Champagne, delivered by the manager on our first night there. Looks like each room had their own balcony, which was a fun experience to be able to walk out each morning and breath the fresh mountain air. When we asked for recommendations, they were happy to help and did not only suggest the restaurants they had a partnership with. Overall great experience.
Very clean rooms . Very nice staff, cleaning ladies were very good and friendly
Excellent location in the middle of the village but not noisy at all. Friendly staff. Basic room but clean and comfortable.
It was quiet and relaxing, close to town centre, pleasant staff, and fun place to be. No
Close to everything. Friendly staff Small room, needed to be updated. Very noisy at night (from both the hallway and the street.
The room was nice and big and the bed was very comfy! Pool was freezing cold!!
Right in the village and walking distance to everything. Exits everywhere so you don't have to walk around buildings. Expensive, especially for shoulder season. Facilities were mediocre and seemed to be installed just so they could tick the boxes. Room was great but since the hotel is a little older some stuff is in need of repairs.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was wonderful and I really enjoyed the suite facilities - particularly the outdoor heated pool!
The suite has been recently renovated, well laid out and very clean. There is a Pool that us good for kids older than 5 (it starts at 4 ft and is mostly outside). Our room was on the second floor directly over a nightclub. Not getting any sleep before 3am really put a damper on everything else.
Had a excellence experience during my stay. Great selection of beer and great food. The atmosphere in the village was positive and made some great purchases at the outdoors stores. My kids and I wished we could stay longer and will plan more vacations in the future.
It's quite rare to pay extra for wifi internet services. Most of the hotels world wide offer that service free.
Central location in the Village. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff made it a pleasant stay.
Setting is at heart of Whistler with restaurants and ships within easy walking distance. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
The suite was perfect for our needs. N/A
Service and Cleanliness was great. We liked that you could take your dog. Nothing
I made reservations at the Delta simply because I recognized the name. I originally had myself and another guest staying in a suite, when we had a last minute addition, the folks at the front desk made quick changes and got us setup with a 3 bed suite. The three of us were there to bike at the end of the season, and the front desk staff, managers and cleaners are the most accommodating group of people I've ever had the pleasure to stay with (and i average 8months on the road per year, so that's a lot). The hotel is clean. Spa is really nice. Staff is amazing. Rooms are huge for the price you pay comparatively for the rest of whistler. Nothing.
Great staff, beautiful rooms, well stocked kitchen. Got s great rate for spring time. Would stay again.
The staff were friendly and cooperative and the allocated rooms were excellent, comfortable and with a good view, all at reasonable rates.
Priced well, facilities were excellent, and location was good. Not much
The hotel was well placed in Whistler right next to the main gondolas. The room was well equipped with full kitchen facilities including a dishwasher. Not wild about the idea of the folf-down bed, though the extra room during the day was welcome.
I love the location and the amenities were excellent. The room was clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly!
Quality, location,Service, it is as a quality hotel. Cost of overnight parking
Nice room and all but it was the staff that really made it. They were always very friendly. Also, we loved the pub downstairs (Dubh Linn Gate Pub).
good location to all of the Whistler attractions and activities
Large room, centrally located in whistler village Tried the Hilton thinking it was a step up but was disappointed. Beyond a larger room I have stayed at better 3* hotels and got better service and the same location. Ski arrangements with summit sports was inconvenient with lines of people (no priority) and limited service yet paid a premium!! Cheaper to rent with black tie or intersport with better quality equipment! Will not stay at the Hilton again... to top it all as I went through a 3rd party they didn't honor m'y HH membership! Guess my business will go elsewhere next time
Thè central location makes up for any thing that might have been wrong.
Location on edge of main village, rooms are a good size and well furnished. Sound insulation is good, bed very comfortable. All staff I met were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Charge of 25 CAD per day for car parking is high. No oven in the room only hob and microwave.
Good Location Excellent Facilities
For a Hilton it felt very dated, and basic. Honestly felt like staying at a Super 8. Was very surprised given the Hilton brand. The bed was very soft, to the point of providing very little support.
The room was actually clean, staff was super friendly and outgoing. Parking was $30.00 a night, I know all the hotels in Whistler charge for parking but paying $100.00 after taxes on top of the cost for the room for 3 nights just for parking seems a little steep.
They were more than accomidating, they have an awesome party on thursdays called Swedish apres ski I believe. The staff was really nice and courteous and our room was very nice, spacious and had a full kitchen. Walk to the lift and all the hot spots in town takes about 3-5 minutes depending on how hungover you are from the previous night! Whistler is a great time, I would suggest it to anyone! The hot tub outside is very small and it's also not warm enough to be refreshing. For me a temperate hot tub is essential to help with sore muscles from skiing/ boarding. Also they let little kids in the hot tub. Although I love kids, I'm not trying to hear them screaming/playing while I'm trying to relax on my vacation in the hot tub. However the indoor hot tub is a touch warmer but still not warm enough.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
It was close to the village and activities.
Room was great, perfect for what we needed, staff at the front desk had a really hard time explaining the charges to our credit card, when all they needed to say was its a damage deposit.
the staff was very responsive to our calls about noisy radio in the next room,
Location and staff were excellent dental floss left under corner of bed on floor. When you purchase on a discount website the hotels tend to give you rooms in the older part of the hotel etc.
I liked the wonderful, comfortable bedding, the luxurious room, the proximity to the town of Whistler and the fitness centre I was disappointed that the booking confirmation I received from booking.com did not match the booking information the hotel had. We had to pay another $80.00 plus to get upgraded or we would have had two queen beds in the main area
Great location directly connected to the Whistler Village. The service was great and the community areas within the hotel are really nicely done and everything looks great. Almost all the doors in my room were hard to close. The pillows needed to be replaced and the rooms just lacked a bit of cleanliness.
that is v.good hotel
The quietness and cleanliness overall was impressive. Staff were helpful and friendly.Ideal location for Whistler Village.
Easy parking and check in. Great bed!
The hotel was very clean and accessible right to the gondola's, ski in and ski out. Located right in the heart of the village you can park your car and forget about it during your stay while you wander around and get to know the Whistler village area. Close to shopping, restaurants, entertainment.
Location Price that had to be paid for the parking. Very expensive.
The room was beautiful! The bedding was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. It was clean and well situated. Yes. The workmen were installing new carpeting directly above us. This resulted in pounding, scraping and dropping tools on the floor all afternoon long. I went to the desk after several hours and complained (something I never do). The person did not offer to move us that day and said the noise would stop in 5 minutes. 45 minutes to an hour, it was still going strong. I think this is inexcusable.
Very spacious comfortable room. The room smelled of cigarette smoke throughout our 2 day stay and upon telling the staff was offered a coffee to make up for it.
Everything was great. The view from the room was awesome and the staff was every attentive. The concierge Steve was the best providing great advise for local hikes Everything was great
Close proximity to the village, comfort and good service Absolutely nothing!
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and welcoming. Great pool and hot tub.
It's a good hotel, but not a luxurious one.
Great room, close to the village, staff was very helpful One of the 2 elevators was broken for most of the first day we were there, resulting in 10 minute waits. I was also disapointed that parking wasn't included, and had to be paid for seperately, this is sub-par for this class of hotel
An excellent suite of rooms, would loved to have stayed more than one night No
Staff efficient and very helpful When the hotel is obviously not busy it would be helpful if one was allowed to extended one's stay until 4:00 pm - the offer suggested by staff was a rate of 40% of the 24 hour room rate for 2 extra hours
My wife and I stayed three nights here at the end our our recent holiday in Canada. Great location in the centre of Whistler Village. We were upgraded for free to a suite with great self catering and other facilities. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Great hotel in a great location.
We enjoyed the layout of the room with fireplace and eating area altogether and the view was lovely.Kitchen was well equiped. The temperture control of the room was not very good. The room was very hot and only could cool down by opening the door, also our skies and boots were not returned to our hotel and they were stored apart which delayed our departure..
Staff is awesome. They try to help you through all your problems as far as they can. The location of the hotel is good, right in the village. Hotel needs major updates. Totally dated rooms and equipments. For a place like whistler it is expected that rooms are well heated at the very least! The heater in the room was non functional. Staff provided us with portable heater. In additional to that the carpet in the room was damp and icy cold for some reason. Overall the entire experience of sleeping for a night was terrible. Free wifi sucks and keeps dropping connection every few minutes. Free breakfast is lame few muffins, toasts, coffee etc.
location stuffy room
Rooms are comfortable. TV is nice. Hotel is steps away from downtown Whistler. hot tub was broken for 50% of the time we were there. Parking is an extra $18 per day. No A/C in room.
Location, location, location - right next to everything you need in Whistler. Good rooms and service and a great price Walls are thin, we could hear noise from next room clearly
The location was good Don't bother staying here I certainly won't in the future. Check in was a nightmare. They told me my name wasn't on the booking despite me booking with my visa card and paying in full before hand had to call a booking agent and get them to call. I was standing there at the front desk They told me my name wasn't on the booking despite me booking with my visa card and paying in full before hand. had to call a booking agent and get them to call the front desk whilst I waited around. We had to move rooms once, as the first room stunk of smoke, had cigarette burns, gum on the phone, and toilet hadn't been cleaned, then the second room wasn't any better but we were only there for 2 days on a non refundable booking so we couldn't be bothered to keep moving rooms. Or room was right beside the lobby and maids room so noise was 24/7. On check out they tried to charge us for an additional couple despite the original booking already had been for 4 people. Anyways terrible and dirty place. If it had one positive its that the location is great. Apologies for the poor grammar and spelling as I'm on my phone
Proximity to restaurants and shops, as well as being the closest hotel to the conference center (the business part of my trip!). The free breakfast was a great option for rushed mornings. While in our room, we could clearly hear the shower and sink in the next room and it sounded so loud that we thought it was coming from our room! May not be a great choice for noise sensitive sleepers.
Excellent location, awesome staff, very affordable. Rooms are clean and quiet. Parking is expensive, although that's the same with hotels around it.
Location,breakfast, Very small room
Excelletn location and hotel rooms, they are small one bedroom apartments with fanatastic kitchens Bedroom got too hot and not enough lighting
Fantastic hotel and staff. Our room was great. Highly recommend spending a little more on the suite with a hot tub. So worth it. Don't pass this gem of a hotel by! The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we couldn't stay longer!
The hotel is conveniently situated in the village and the room was well equipped for a family with lots of room and comfort. No gym and no recycle collection in rooms.
MInt shampoo and great mattress The top sheet on the bed was a bit rough, need finer weaved sheets. The additional daily parking fee was a bit stiff.
The upstairs-downstairs layout, small number of rooms (fewer people around) and nice, polite service. Small touches like the in-room playstation and energy saving features were a nice touch. Pool was not operational. The kiddo was disappointed, but we found a nearby community pool.
excellent location, very helpful staff, nice details (microwave, log fireplace, scented lotions in bath, unique shower!)
The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located and within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
the room no restaurant, no breakfast included
Everything...well organized I couldn't rest very well because of the music and all the noise from the night club..
location, cleanliness, price, staff, suite itself was nicely layed out, air conditioner worked well. slow elevator, hot tub was way too cool both days
the mountains the dark and dingy halls poor lighting in the living room , can't read . towels had to be asked for, not enough toiletries, dinky patio filthy hallway carpets, poor communication between staff
No cream for the coffee in the morning. No power in the room until you insert the key in an inside switch -- front desk staff didn't warn me, so I thought there was a mechanical problem. Needed earplugs because dance music went boom boom boom all night. Shower setup means you have to stand under cold water when you turn it on.
I am not prone to gushing reviews, & with the caveat I don't know other whistler hotels, this was one of the best hotels for the price I've ever stayed at. Genuinely attractive living area with every amenity, view onto mountains, v comfy bed, charming and helpful staff. We were there for a break with our 2 yr old and was ideal for adult canoodling downstairs while babba slept upstairs, or vice versa. We could easily have imagined staying a couple of extra days just to enjoy the rooms. The patio, though v large with great views, was a bit concrete-y unattractive.
we had a bathroom door that jammed shut, several staff attempted to fix it without success so we were upgraded to a great two bedroom suite. big bonus. the fittings and supplied effects were lovely and the ambience was great. would have been perfect for a romantic break - which wasn't us, but we enjoyed the luxury after two months of travelling on a budget.
Lovely staff, room small but very comfortable, convienent. 1. Room could have had crockery and cutlery and a microwave. Less of the alcohol in the fridge and more space for milk, youghurt etc. 2. This is some thing that most hotels get wrong: hairdrier and mirror and chair should always be closely situated (and not in the bathroom, that is dangerous) so that drying hair is comfortable and easy
Great location... Nice room and staff... The club next door thumpin music from 9pm till 2am... But atleast they leave ear plugs in the room for you.
Ok location Food, Market and Starbucks directly behind the building. Studio suite is laege and plenty of room for up to 4 comfortably. Nice kitchenette suite Seems well kept despite its age. Very old giving it a somewhat uneasy feeling. Has 2 buildings across the street from each other. Parking is expensive- $19CAN Opposite end from the Olympic Plaza Lots of construction around the area
Great staff. Close to shopping and major attractions. Rooms feel old. Heater hard to figure out
It was a good last minute deal in terms of price, since we only stayed one night. Had many amenities such as kitchen, TV, WiFi etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location in the heart of the village. Entire room and most amenities were quite outdated and not too clean. The bed was a pull down bed and not very comfortable. The walls are also thin so you could hear noise from other rooms. Cleanliness was also low in the main room, but the bathroom was clean and updated.
Wonderful location. Exceptional staff. Well kept. A bit hard to find & limited check in parking
My room was nothing special, and I was a bit taken back that it was a hideaway bed, but it was comfortable enough. The hotel itself was not fancy, but everything I needed and an excellent deal for the money. Be aware of an extra $19 charge for parking. Absolutely zero complaints and worked great for two nights. I would stay here for a week even, and would stay again. Hideaway bed, parking fee.
4pm check in is ridiculous.
The location is hard to beat. You're as close to the resort lifts as virtually any upscale hotel.
I enjoyed how close we were to the village but that's about it It was weird how the hotel and the front desk were in different buildings. The front desk staff gave terrible and confusing directions to where parking and our building were. Our towels had hairs and stains on them and we had to call to get fresh ones which is unacceptable in s hotel. The floor looked like it hadn't been properly vacuumed either.
Location was great!
Cheap Really close to Fitzsimmons lift if you're a mountain biker (I am) Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night (3AM) because some other guests were smoking indoors. Took over an hour to shut off, so I basically didn't get any quality sleep; hotel staff was unapologetic for the most part.
the hotel and the room was very comfortable. There was a small kitchen with all you need ! The decoration of the room was very nice The parking is 15 CAD for one night
The location is great. A 5 minute walk to the backcomb and whistler ski lifts. It's worth it if you can get a good deal, but the facility and rooms need a facelift. The bed and be linings in particular weren't great. And we were disappointed that the hot tub was at a sister hotel, not actually at this facility.
The bed was the best feature...very comfortable...we liked the balcony the bathroom was very small and uncomfortable...the door hit the toilet so you could not open it all the way....no air conditioning, smelled like wood smoke in the room....however it is under renovations so hopefully some of these things will improve.
location is great, very clean, staff nice. extra charge for parking ($24 per day) and wi-fi
Nice room, friendly and helpful staff, great location
rooms as small suites are nice. kitchenette would be useful. no real lobby social space
The location of this hotel is just perfect - very close to the lift. In addition, rooms are greatly furnished.
It was central There was no proper entrance to park and unload. The staff should smile a little more, even if they have to fake it.
Benevolentness of hotel employees. Nothing.
Easy, Free parking, service and comfort. Close to amenities. I told the curteous staff that during the night, the doors in the hallway slammed alot waking up myself easily but my wife too who is not a light sleeper.
i like the kitchen...it's pretty good.
good pool and hot tub sink in bathroom almost plugged-drain plug filthy
it had a bedroom; enjoyed the pool and hottubs and of course the fireplace very loud- could hear people in hallways and the people next door were partying very late at night and we very loud
We like the space itself and would book accommodation here again. We would also recomment the hotel to families and young sports minded people we know.
