Proximity of the hotel to the old town. Hotel was expensive. Room was very small. Shower not up to date and bathroom could do with an update. Spa was not as good as the photos made out
pillows, bathroom, robes, view, inside space itself (i.e. dining and sitting areas - I could imagine having a wedding there), staff (friendly, helpful, and excellent English), dvd player room smelled bad, farther away than indicated on map - quite a hike
fabulous views from the pool noise from the staff quarters in the early hours. difficult to to get into town due to lack of taxis. Expensive food
A lovely hotel in a supurb setting. The restaurant was too expensive and closed on Sunday! The brasserie was not open at all!! No English channels on T.V.
Its location The service and the food in the main restaurant was very poor and the head waiter ignored our complaints
The lake/mountains view and the swimming pool. Oh, yes, aplenty: lack of comfort - small room/bathroom, no aircon (worse if room under the roof); unprofessional, immature staff, unable to answer simple questions about the place but suggesting we should go to the tourist information office downtown instead! One morning breakfast service was appalling, but the hotel manager was 'unavailable' (en rendez-vous) to take comments directly and never replied to our complaints. Hotel restaurant was rather pricey for a family with children, hence the need to sample the restaurants downtown; plenty of choices there but the return to the hotel problematic in the dark. Romantically involved couples of all ages may find this place attractive for a night or two but a longer stay is not justified.
The setting was fantastic and the facilities were very good. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little small for the price and the hotel bar prices were prohibitive and double the cost of lakeside cafes/resturants in Annecy which is only a short walk away. (9 euros for an orange juice !)
The hotel is lovely - quite a business hotel though and the breakfast and food quite pricey when paying your own way. Not ideal for families because of this. Location good - you can walk down to the lake and town in about 15 minutes and the view is fab.
Good access, free parking, wi-fi, good but very expensive breakfast. Rooms were small for the price and our room was under very noisy stairway. When I complained next morning I was changed to another somewhat less noisy under another stairway. Staff did their best but basically they are stuck with the small, noisy (but well equiped) rooms. No English language TV was available in the room yet CNN was available in breakfast room- I was told they were in middle of changing to a new service and nothing could be done and no credit was offered.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The position of the Hotel was perfect for sightseeing. We did not like the fact that the bed was uncomfortable and the shower was broken and only produced very hot or very cold water
Pleasant staff, central location close to the castle and old town, and good value for money. Tip - there is no hairdryer in the room but one can be provided if you ask at reception. This is NOT a criticism of the hotel but I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility problems as the hotel can only be reached via a steep slope or a lot of of steps.
Good value, convenient position, friendly an dhelpful staff Bit difficult to find due to roadworks etc temp problem
Very central to the old part of annecy, ideal to walk to resturants and the canals The showers had to be hand held and the "curtains" didnt cover the windows
Well located by the lake, near the old town centre and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Clean. Very nice people. Good level at the right price. In high season the shortage of parking could be a problem.
Great central location with great views over Annecy. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Also I stayed in 2 other hotels in Annecy but this hotel was the best value. The hotel is in need of a makeover although it did not spoil my stay. It is a bit shabby around the edges but it is a cheap price for Annecy and has alot of charm.
It was in an excellent location, quiet at night and a very short walk to the rest of town. The room was basic but perfect for someone who just needs to crash before a flight the next day. The lock on the door - have to use the key to lock yourself in, hope there isn't a fire, it might take a minute to get out.
Quiet and friendly
This was a lovely hotel and a beautiful spot. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window. We only had 2 nights there wished we could have stopped longer. The staff were very helpful . We had free car parking and enjoyable continental breakfast. Only a short distance to the town of Annecy and the canal and restaurants.
Very nice couple runs the place. Clean & crisp linens. Great breakfast for 9 Euros. Lovely view of the Chateau. Two minute walk into Old Town. Perhaps rugs might be helpful. Person above me walked around a lot!
Excellent, welcoming staff, good location on a canal, nice breakfast area Rooms a bit sparce, but clean and excellent value
The managers and other staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - the hotel felt like a family-run business. The location in the centre of town was excellent. The hotel was very hard to find - took us nearly 2 hours of driving about. The bathroom is a teeny bit too small.
great welcome, very helpful, good location near the old town decor a bit dated but very French
Nothing Dirty, small, bad stairs, noisy, bad bathroom.
Super helpful staff
The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful. It was quite basic but clean and had all necessary facilities.
The hotel is in a nice location near lots of stores and restaurants. We had a nice view from our room. There was not much space in the room to move around. The bed took up nearly the entire room.
The ceiling fan was help up by only one precarious screw. I dare not imagine what it would do to us if we switched it on and it dropped on us while we were sleeping or just being in the room for that matter. Staff could have been friendlier.
The position was very good, only a short walk to the lake and canals. The position of the hotel was directly above the railway, and although on the fourth floor you could hear the railway, but not enough to complain about, the fact that you could only get to the hotel from one direction was also a little annoying.
near by the train station, only need to walk for 5 mins from the station. And basically comfortable. meet an unfriendly ,bad English staff at 23 o'clock the day I arrived.
I have a very unpleasant surprise when I came back at home :they deducted from my credit card a surcharge amount of 50 Euro without any explanation. When I asked them by mail I recevied a very cold explanation that is a guarantee and they make up a copy of my card.I am sure that it was normal to explain me at check-in if is necessary a guarantee
Convenient location, nice room
proximity to centre of town. Also, restaurant facilities were very useful as it was pouring with rain in the evening when we were to go out for dinner, so we just stayed and dined in the hotel Only slight problem was all the works going on around the hotel. Access was difficult. I know this is only a temporary problem but perhaps a space to offload cases and children whilst going to search for a car park space would be good.
Very friendly staff, overall good hotel
Good breakfast. Clean. Helpful staff. 3 people in room but faclities only for 2. Poor direction to find hotel.
It is close to the train station. The security is fine. The pillows are not clean enough.
Clean and comfortable hotel, at convenient distance from train station and Annecy's commercial area.
The hotel is close to the old city center (walk distance), great breakfast, bedroom spacious and comfortable.
Kind staffs. Quiet environment. Dirty bed spread. No shower curtain in the bath tub. All water taps were leaking in the bathroom.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel has clearly seen better days and needs work done on it. The restaurant was only available if we ate early. We returned from a day in the mountains watching the Tour de France, in need of showers etc and were told we had to eat immediately if we wanted service. Not idea!
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had two rooms as we had an elderly aunt with us, and the staff ensured she had a room adjacent and were very happy to take her meals up to her etc
Location of the hotel was excellent. Room were clean and serviced daily. Breakfast wasn't worth to have. It was pricy and not in expected quality. Car park was always full. I had to park on street.
Only a 2 minute drive to the lake and the staff were very friendly.
Inexpensive for this pricey region. Free parking. No frills - a place to rest our tired heads. We didn't use the restaurant but looked ok to me. Slightly out of town, but again this is a budget hotel and it's not that far.
Restaurant not open on saturday night when we arrived. Inadequate and secure parking facilies
In particular the friendliness and helpfulness of the family and staff who run the hotel. They were always obliging and made you feel welcome. Would have liked facilities for making tea and coffee in our room. The hotel is about a mile from the centre of the town and you need a car -however there is a very regular bus service although the last bus is at 8;00pm
We were not here for very long as we were on our way back to UK. and went into town to eat. We had to ask to move room as the shutter on the outer window was broken
All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, although basic, were clean and comfortable. We had two good evening meals.
God morgenmad, men for dyrt.
Helpful staff, very efficient booking process, wireless internet capability, comfortable rooms. None
The view from our balcony The stairs were very steep and it was difficult to carry up suitcases
Only the cost of the room. Hotel Reception staff was not welcoming at all, also the hotel location is the worst of all you have to climb your way up the hill just to get there; and once you are there you will decided never to go down again until you leave the hotel ;)
Le Belvedere was on a hill with the most wonerful view of the town, lake and mountains, Our room had a deck so we coudl sit and watch the scene.
Parking available. View over Lake Annecy which would have been superb had the weather been better. The room had a balcony which we would have enjoyed had it not been raining Only large expensive meals available. There was nothing for people who would have preferred a lighter snack. No lifts were available and staircase was narrow - making it difficult when carrying luggage.
God beliggenhed Bedre morgenmad - alt skal ikke være i plastic!
Meget central beliggenhed i forhold til både butikker og restauranter. Enkelt, pænt og rent. Ok god morgenmad. Information om parkeringskælder var meget dårlig. Mangelfuld information om p-billet resulterede i at vi selv måtte betale. Hotellet ville ikke refundere beløbet.
location, and staff cant think of anything
Location was outstanding with parking relativel close by. Very small hotel with small but adequate room. Everything very close by and an excellent place to stay. Very small room but adequate for one night.
Hotel location is absolutely perfect: directly in the city center with a beautiful castle and channel views
Clean room, nice breakfast, welcoming staff.
perfect location No
Location is perfect for the old part of Annecy. We had a great view out over the canal and the Palais de L'Isle itself. Breakfast as expensive extra rather than included in room rate.
Unbelievable location! A little disorganized, the Wi-Fi didn't work.
It was near good reataurants and the center of old Annecy. We booked a canal room, which is the only reason we booked this hotel. When we checked in at noon, we were told there weren't any canal rooms available. We were put in the attic, up six flights of stairs and heard cars day and night and had no view.
Quiet and private. Adequate facilities. Clean. Very convenient for the main route around Lake Annecy. Within walking distance of small village with shops and restaurants. Very friendly hosts. Light salads and crepes served during the evening. Air Con could have been cooler and quieter. Beds were narrow and not that comfortable. Towels and bed linen had seen better days.
Owner gave us an upgraded room upon arrival. Hotel has excellent value for money. Close to Annecy. Very nice mountain view from restaurant and rooms. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Minor point: heating didn't work very well.
The owners were delightful people and very accommodating:
excellent value for money for families with thier apartment concept. location and surrounding areas are stunningly beautiful. no.
good location, good parking, nice english speaking owners, great view 5 minutes up the hill, lake annecy is beautiful and so is the north side of the lake. room was small, plain white, no decoration, I was expecting a refrigerator and there was not one. but I still recommend this hotel, lake annecy is expensive and this place was reasonable.
Hospitality and friendliness of owners, location, decor, comfort, surroundings beautiful, views wonderful. None whatsoever
The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The apartment was beautifully situated with balconies on both sides of the building overlooking the lake and the mountains. The apartment had everything you needed and it was clean and bright. The only thing the apartment lacked was a comfy seating area to relax in. The sofa bed that was in the living area was a bit uncomfortable and not adequate for four adults. But thats a minor criticism to what was an excellent hotel.
