Beautiful new hotel in a gorgeous little town. Shower leaked a little
Proximity to downtown Cadaques. If you stay at the Hostalet, you do not need to negotiate the mountains of Cadaques. At times during the day, particularly during Siesta, and after 800 PM, the reception area would be unmanned and the door closed. Visitors won't be able to enter, because the outside door would be closed. No phones in the rooms.
Everything was as it needed to be, we were very happy with our choice. The hotel was basic but very well thought out, with nice, clean rooms, easy access to the town (very short walk), and a friendly face on the front desk. The only drawback is the hotel's proximity to a nightclub: this was only an issue on the Friday night, when the noise made it hard to sleep. This really is the only negative though.
Very simple and comfortable room, very relaxed space and great location n/a
- Very friendly people - nicely designed rooms - hotel provides ear plugs - nice touch - Noisy... Other guests are easily heard in the hallways - too bad no view of the water - but a quiet off the path street is nice too
very helpful staff, small but very clean and comfortable rooms
The hotel couldn't be more central and was perfect as a base for visiting Cadaques. The rooms were clean and comfortable although we spent most of the time out walking and sampling the local delights.
We liked the location of l'Hostalet, just off the center of town on a street with restaurants and a nice cafe/bakery that seemed open at all times. The hotel feels tucked away and does not have views of the lovely town. Our room (#8), up two flights of narrow stairs, was small with a comfortable bed and a miniature balcony with a built-in seat. The hotel is modern and clean with good lighting and adequate electrical outlets. The bathroom had a nice shower, the world's smallest sink and heated towel bar/ room heater. The built-in closet was small but workable for two people, but there is little space to put your luggage and not enough hangers. The room was cleaned daily by the friendly staff who guided us to a free parking spot. We visited in the off-season during October (when very strong winds blow from the mountains to the sea) and had to call the staff to meet us at the hotel. Bring a cell phone on your trip or be prepared to loose euros to the public phones in the town square trying to figure out how to call the hotel.
very new and clean room rooms are very small for the price
The place was just a block to the beach and center of town. It is located on an alley above several small restaurants. We were there for 1 night midweek and the noise was not a problem. Great food and entertainment steps away. Very helpful staff and good wifi. The room size may be disappointing for some people, but Cadaques is no ace to be spending time in your room!
swimming sight seeing
Staff are helpful. I forgot one bag at the bus terminal and Isabelle drove me to pick it up.
The bed and AC were fine. No restaurant serving proper meals.Doors all locked overnight and we were worried about fire hazard risks in the night as my wife is handicapped for walking. We were on an upper floor with no lift and there were many stairs up to reception.Breakfast starting hour of 8,30 was extremely inconvenient and no renbate was offerted for the price of 2 breakfasts paid for many weeks in advance due their No Cancellation policy. The night before our arrival they were offering a double room online for 105 euros but we paid them in advance 125,50 for our room - not clever. This hotel should improve its dining facilities and it would appeal to many more people than it does nhow as after all the location is superb.
Nice clean modern decor, restful, excellent pool, quiet location, good exercise walking to Cadaques! No evening restaurant - not a problem for us, but some might see it as a problem.
Great quiet location, right near the house of Salvador Dali. Very relaxed atmosphere. We had comfortable and quite spacious room with balcony with great view to the sea over the swimming pool. Helpful and pleasant staff. Not too far to the city centre of Cadaques - but be prepared to walk.
The staff were all lovely - offering to make reservations for us and helping with internet. Very close to Dali house and beach. arrived 9.30pm. No restaurant open. Advised to walk to tapas and another restaurant. Got there - all closed. Nothing else in walking distance so had to drive into Cadaques. Not the end of thw world but we were tired.
Jeg var helt tilfreds med mit ophod på hotellet, Personalet var venligt og hjælpsomt, og værelset var fint. Det er et problem for nogle ( ikke mig) at ikke alle taler engelsk. Ud over sprogproblemet, så nej.
Very nice and very clean hotel for a reasonably priced room in Cadaques. I would definitely stay there again. The proprietors were very friendly and accomodating.
Friendly, helpful staff, who offered great restaurant choices! Good location, close enough to walk to water. Nice bathroom! Hard beds.
The hotel was clean and friendly. For a 2 star hotel I was impressed with the air conditioning and lift. It was also well located. No really bad points.
A bit noisy from traffic.
Stayed here because of it's Proximity to the bus station. Great staff clean room a little noisy during day but quiet at night. Five minute walk to Harbour and restaurants.
Cleanliness; air conditioning. The main staff member we dealt with seemed to be in a very bad mood all the time. Another was very helpful though.
The Staff and the room was pleasant The noise fromthe main road
Very friendly greeting, extremely clean and spacious room, quiet location, convenient to arrival at the bus station, and short easy walk to town.
The hotel is directly next to Salvador Dali's house. The room was very tired and needed to be refurbished/modernised. The hotel lacked atmosphere.
ideally situated on a quiet and peaceful bay, a stones throw away from Salividor Dali's house. Tastefully decorated and peaceful location.
Fabulous location and great views The decoration is totally outdated and the staff very averagely welcoming, but the location beats everything
views staff unfriendly, no bar, breakfast poor for €10 / pp,no restaurant open
The only positive thing of this hotel is the location, its a few steps away from the Dali House. There is also a small beach a few steps away too. The hotel room was filthy, the bed was squeeky, and the walls were paper thin.
Good quality design, spacious and clean. Very good restaurant. Too far from town centre if you don't have a car. Restaurant closed on Sunday and Monday.(no notification of this) Nowhere nearby to eat at night.
Reception was very helpful and friendly upon check-in, and the room was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of choices. Nice quiet location about a kilometer out of Cadaques. A 15 minute walk to the Dali house in Port Lligat.
The location The Breakfast, was very disorganised, almost no food, not prepared to accomodate the number of guests.
Friendliness of staff and accommodations A little far from the center of town.
Comfort and cleanliness was excellent Service at breakfast was poor
Very well designed hotel and therefore relaxing
Staff attitude: extremely friendly. Very comfortable bed and above all pillow. Pretty location, breakfast next to the pool ideal. It is the middle of November and therefore very low season. However, the hotel could not offer a variety of drinks and their bar was not really open.
Very nice people at the reception and at breakfast.Good breakfast. Close to Dali's house at Port Lligat and to the Cap Creus nature researve.
Friendliness of all staff. Clean, modern, functional decor. Location excellent.Breakfast beside pool very enjoyable.
Comfortable rooms, nice pool, good restaurant. Isolated - good if you like that sort of thing but there are no facilities or shops or restaurants nearby and Cadaques is a 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk away.
Location was lovely, main problem was lack of bar or restaurant. To far to walk to town and impossible to park there due to extensive roadworks. Hence our swift departure. Did not see anywhere in hotel details that there were no facilities, for food or drink. Also garden and hotel rather "tired" See above
It was a small well run family hotel with good breakfast and friendly staff Being the winter period the resturant was not open
Good views and walking location to Main centre of Cadaques. Helpful staff.
It was quiet and well appointed for walking to the town. The staff spoke English and were helpful. The swimming pool was empty. I imagined a solarium to be an enclosed, sheltered place for sunbathing but it was just the open roof.
the staff is great. a nice and charming place to stay in!
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was pretty basic, but it was clean and pleasant.
