The rooms are extremely large and comfortable, the bathroom is world class. Having stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years ,it is becoming in need of a facelift. Also the service in the brasserie /coffee shop is poor .Dirty plates are not cleared away quickly and the place has an image of being lethargic
This hotel is a true 5 star place The breakfast buffet was good but was oriented to Chinese customers
The room was modern, roomy and comfortable. It was convenient for our meetings with Dalian shipping lines, many of which were based on the same road. Hotel pool was out of order for the duration of our stay (but we were not informed at time of booking). Buffet dinner whilst good, was cleared away at 21.30 on the dot, as were all the drinks & all the seat cushions in the lounge bar. Extremely unaccommodating to business travellers and not mindful at all to the fact that these travellers have come from all over the world, looking for food/drink at times to suit. Lovely drinks menu, delivered extremely badly. Don't complain - you will not be heard. Non attentive staff made this a 3* hotel at best, pretending to be a 5*.
luxury design with best marble in lobby as well as in bathrooms.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff extremely pleasant to work with. There was a small continuing problem with a closet door that kept coming off the tracks, and for my purposes the location was very far from the Dalian Software Park where I needed to be for business purposes. Otherwise it was a very good place to stay.
This is a very luxurious hotel with very friendly and helpful staff in the centre of Dalian - I would certainly return to stay here again
The Kempinski in Dalian is a great choice for expats living in China. It is a nice place to "escape" from daily life when you don't have time for a proper vacation. The staff is friendly and relaxed. It's easy to feel comfortable and at-home there. The spa, pool and health centre are fantastic and there are some great restaurants. The German restaurant downstairs has fantastic beer. Compared to 5 star hotels in other countries or regions, the Kempinski is a real bargain. The decor in the rooms is a little spartan. There is no art or color.
Very nice clean, confortable rooom and very good service from the hoteel personnel.
just one word: perfect
The friendly staff, good service all over, very good location and very relaxing.
nice location close to shopping district. very comfortable . value for money
the location is very convienence. hotel staff are very low educated. it's not like 5 star hotel service.need more trainning.
Breakfast was international spread, great varieties. Pleasant ambience in the cafe, waiters and waitresses were generous with their smile. Porter too slow to response. I had to drag my own luggage down for check out after waiting for 15 minutes and nobody turned up to help me.
everything you'd expect from a Hilton, well executed and at a high standard. perfect for business travel staff's English skills are not up to spec and room service food quality isn't great. The spa is deserted and lacks some attention to detail, but treatments of good quality.
Very quiet and comfortable. Very luxurious en-suite bathroom. Evening buffet offered good value for money. We booked Executive Room so we could benefit from cocktails and snacks in evening. However, as we were staying March/April, this service was not available which was very disappointing. We found it took a while to get correct information about the hotel services, even though my wife is a fluent Mandarin speaker!
Very comfortable and spacious rooms, bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath is great. Personnel from executive lounge were most friendly and helpful Hotel is based in the middle of nowhere, to city center is approx 5 miles away and it was very hard to get a taxi in night time
when you asked something it happened and was checked.
It has a great view of the harbor view and all the American hotel feel I had to order an extra night at the hotel after staying four nights getting the Buffett included. I asked about the extra day about the Buffett and they didn't include it because they didn't count it as 5 days only one night.
