I recently stayed at this hotel while on business in Ningbo. It is chic and the luxury rooms make you feel like a multi-millionaire. The staff are very pleasant and there are a number of Europeans working at the hotel. The spa treatment was a little pricey but worth every penny. Breakfast is a massive buffet that suits both western and Chinese tastes. I am heading back to Ningbo this week and will book this hotel without hesitation. There is a huge shopping mall next to the hotel and it is well located...close to the train station if you are coming from Shanghai.
The bed was very comfortable, the staff was excellent! not ideal because must take taxi to train, airport, etc, but still not too far (about 15 minutes) and I will stay again.
it is center of Ninbo, but room rate is quite reasonable and view of hotel was fantastic. it was less than a half of Shangila hotel right besie, and better place to approach the hot zone of Ningbo. Ms. Allen Chen, Sales manager, was so kind and made us comfortable. Chinese restautant in 5th floor was very cheap and good.
Complimentary is good.. Better than other International Hotel in China (Shanghai and Beijing) I can not find map of Ningbo in English
The location was very central and excellent. Room.was quite big with a nice river view from 20th floor. Stuff were friendly and buffet breakfast was miscellaneous with chinese, english and continental. Good value for the money.
in general everything was fine, breakfast okay, rooms clean, good position in the city, not every employee in reception have good knowledge of English,

i was initially booked into this hotel for 4 nights but checked out after 2 as the rooms were too hot and the airconditioning unit were not working.the hotel said they couldnt help except a fan. i have stayed at Nanyuan many times but think that maybe it is getting a bit old and things are not working so well. i will not stay again.
Good staff It was a nasty surprise at check in to find that in spite of having a confirmed reservation the Hotel was charging $60 more for the three days. After haggling I got to pay $30 more. The hotel should honour the rates at which booking.com sells the rooms.
