close to where i needed to be and made to feel welcome throughout our stay
Helpfull, friendly and very clean. None
Staff/ owners were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were laid out nicely, the room for four was comfortable, not crowded. We had no issues.
Staff very pleasant and room nice and clean but very small bathroom small but clean No T.V. Considering this was rated as four star accomodation at this was sorely missed especially the weather we experienced during our stay.
Comfortable family run and homely hotel. Landlady (Jackie) very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and welcoming. Comfy room. Well heated (it was cooold outside)Owners couldn't do more for you. None
The owners were extremely friendly and I was quickly made to feel at home. Breakfast (full english) was excellent with a good choice. Adequate off road parking. OK with my late comings and goings due to local work requirements. Excellent WiFi - straight on with no hassle. I missed a tv in the room, but David did explain the reason why they decided not to have them (noise disturbing others in nearby room). Room was a liittle on the small side (their only single) but did the job for a one night stay over.
I was in a very lovely place... Lots of places to visit...
Friendly welcome, cleanliness, good breakfast, good quality budget accommodation. The limitations are things which cannot be changed - the tricky staircase, smallish rooms, limited parking - which are due to the nature of the building and its facilities.
Friendly staff, and very nice breakfast.
Great central location with lots of parking on site. Good clean accommodation, friendly welcome from Tony & Pauline. The breakfasts were excellent with a wide selection of cereals and cooked items available. The only downside was the pressure of the shower being a bit low.
The proprietors were accomodating and helpful. Insufficient supply of soap and shampoo.
very nice people and close to everything near by very small singleroom
Everything.Owners were very friendly and helpful.Spotlessly clean.Food was cooked fresh, hot and plenty of it.Its also only 2 mins walk from the sea.
Welcoming cup of tea upon arrival. Very clean. Our room was at very topof the building and the stairs were not too easy to negotiate because of a combination of a low ceiling and an awkward turn near the very top of the stairs which were quite narrow at that point. There was too much furniture in the room making it feel a little claustrophobic, but owners advised that this is currently under review and is to be changed in the future.
Everything about the guesthouse was very good.Staff very friendly.Food very good. The family room we stayed in,had ensuite,a double bed and two bunkbeds,we only spent three nights there, but would liked to have been able to stop for longer. None
Good food and service within the restaurant. Good range of facilities. Restaurant free of young children in the evenings, helping to make for a relaxing meal. Room could do with a lick of paint and some updated facilites (Only 1 radio channel).
Breakfast restaurent staff excellent as was breakfast Front of house staff/reception not too interested in customers -did not even wish us a good onward journey.
The extent of the sports activity equipment, available foe various weather conditions no
Excellent facilities/restaurant-food/waiting staff/lounge staff. beautiful grounds and very good room.....better than in previous visits. Reception staff aren't as pleasant and cheerful or as willing as rest of staff, who are excellent.
Food was good. Room was dated and needs some serious redecorating. Not the best place to take a small child.
My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay. Next time we come i hope we can stay for a week or longer
Prompt and courteous attention by the staff.
Service was impeccable and all the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Beautiful lobby and dining room. Bathroom in need of updating
the staff throughout the hotel are friendly, well trained and helpfull. The restaurant team were led particularly well and it was obvious that management set standards which they fully intended to be followed, also the porters displayed a level of patience worthy of comment The hotel rooms were cold, beyond comfort or reasonable tolerance. it took a request to receive a heater in the room - This is somewhat indicative of the room/structure and echoes an hotel that once you delve beyond the surface of the common areas is in need of refurbishment
Lovely public rooms and excellent location close to the coast path. Great bathroom, almost as large as the single bedroom. Cheaper rooms overlook the road side. If staying for leisure purposes it would be worthwhile upgrading to a garden view room.
It was only a short stay with 7 friends and we enjoyed ourselves
The owner was very friendly and made you feel welcome. Although the accomodation was basic it was very clean and I felt gave excellent value for money. No
bed reception area
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodation Limited parking at premises but having said that, plenty of 'on-road'.
Nothing-The Hotel is not well kept, smelt damp in places, and was not very clean. The facilities were poor - the bar was not open and whilst you could ask for it to open, who would ? There was no rubbish bin in the room, the windows did not shut properly, the bathroom had holes in the wall and was not very inviting !!
good location, nice breakfast. stag party staying saturday night.
Mouldy walls. poor access. lumpy bed that was two singles pushed together so you fell down the middle making it hard to sleep. not at all how it is portrayed in the brochure. seems run down.
No secure parking
The rooms were comfortable and clean as was the rest of the hotel. It is a little too far from the town centre, taxis are a must for coming back. The bar area was not brilliant, that is to say that the choice of drinks was not that good. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on this. The staff were helpful.
the churches i felt this hotel was now value for money and was disappointed. even the 2 stars had been covered over.
