exelent view of the lake the shower in the bathroom had a very poor flow.
Loved the balcony with such wonderful views. Definitely, the highlight of the entire hotel. Good buffet breakfast with great view from terrace dining room. didn't realize it was a "tour" hotel. Food was expensive and not good. Drinks highly overpriced and severed in tiny glasses. Hotel really needed some "updating". Air conditioning in our room didn'twork, but it was repaired.
location for the price we paid, it was a really small room
The friendliness of the hotel staff Very small room for the money. Not even (real) space to place the in room breakfast
Nice hotel albeit a bit run down. Staff not very attentive (forgot taxis, slow in serving etc). Not 5 star level. Overprized.
the location , the staff and the service. there is no swimming pool and spa.
stuff was friendly it's nothing so special u would expect form "de lux" hotel
Hotel staffers were excellent; helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. Quality of beds/linens/bathrooms/guest rooms/ public rooms wonderful. overpriced room service menu
Lake view facilities at most of a three star hotel of the 1960s. Highly overpriced for quality offered
We like the service of the hotel, the good location and the beautiful view of the lake. we didn´t like there are only one front door that open directly to the corridor and we listen all the noise of the neighbour door.
The excellent location and really good fish restaurant )))
The staff were very welcoming and the room was immaculate~a perfect location too.
It is a hotel with a warm and friendly approach to client.Very nice hotel, friendly staff and fantastic location. Some breakfast items need improvement.
This hotel was wonderful, the beds are very comfortable, the staff will go out of their way to help you, very friendly, great location, close to the old town and shopping. Also very clean.
First class service
An excellent hotel, near the Opera House and the Limmat River. Walking distance to shops, museums, and restaurants. Staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodating,
Good restaurant and quiet hotel; perfect if you want to relax after a working day
The location center city and on the lake were a perfect combination for my needs.
The friendly service and the fruit in the foyer That you had to pay to listn to the radio!! The screen of the Monitor could not be switched of
The location was very good, close to the Lake and to a railway station Poor service. very old and mismatched interior
the locartion in Zurich was perfect. Rikght there in the ols town and close to the train station...perfect. I would like to have the opportunity to include brekfast at the time of booking.
Small hotel with everything you need. A very good restaurant inside. The hotel in based in a very quite and chic part of Zurich. Staff very kind and ready to help you. My room was too small (6 mq) for € 125,00 and furniture conditions and interior decoration are not so good.
The location is great, a few minutes walk from everything: trains, opera, lake, downtown, cafes, restaurants. The staff also very friendly and helpful. The decoration is like 18th century, and the room was extremely small, with chandeliers and museum-style furniture! Not my favorite style... As for the bathroom and shower I could barely move.
The nice people at the reception. Big room (14) with lots of closets and shelves. Fine beds. Noisy Air-conditioning. Left towel rack about to fall off the wall. Black hair under the sinks in the bathroom (as we are blond). Candy paper on carpet beside the bed.
Reception and restaurant staff efficient and courteous. Like most hotels in Zurich, rooms are small, and overpriced.

beds location friendly staff
walking the streets of Zurich and seeing the tall church steeples street noise
Good location for public transport. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet rooms (4th floor). Chandelier jingled when person in upstairs room moved around, which was annoying at 3 in the morning. The life was just barely big enough for two people and one smallish pram.
it location. The hotel needs refurbishing, the decor is very old fashioned.
While the front of the hotel and reception are unimposing the rooms are very nice. Really nice shower withe great soaps and shampoo. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Zurich.
Nice location, friendly staff smoking in the restaurant - but that is a problem across Switzerland
Friendly, flexible staff. Good location
Perfect location: not too closed, not to far from center. Brilliant and friendlt staff. Restaurant (good & creative).
Good location (close to the lake and walkng distance to Bahnhofstrasse) and friendly service at check-in and check-out. Private parking available at the back side of te hotel (albeit only two spots, so make reservation ahead of time). Free wifi throughout the hotel. Lack of airco in the room is a major issue in the summertime. They have put a fan in the room (one of those tabletop versions) but it helps only a little. You can't open the window because of the construction going on next door which will wake you up early in the morning with an open window. Rooms are okay but very minimal.
Staffs are friendly & very helpful. The hotel is close to public transportation & very convenient for shoppings, night-clubbings, dining- out, and sight-seeings. Not much street noise despite of the location. Seems walls between rooms were thin - could hear noise from the next doors. The choice of breakfast - dairy(yogurt, cheese, or milk) or meat products are the "main" selections other than bread or corn flakes. No fruits or veges except for fruit juice and a little piece & bits in a yogurt salad. Not much choice for vegan.
Very friendly staff, nice room (small but modern & clean), excellent shower, great breakfast, perfect location in downtown Zurich I can not fault the hotel at all
location of the hotel, good beds bathroom was tiny, towels were not nice, very restricted breakfast
Good location but very poor comfort and facilities. Recomended for young couples and honeymoon. Noise.Hard sigaretes smell .
The view from apartment and breakfast though were nice The pictures and actual state of the hotel are very different, hotel needs renovation, shower in the room and toilet outside is a crazy idea.
Good location and kind staff.Clean and nicely decorated room. The room was a bit noisy. No private toilet and shower room at your room feels uncomfortable.
great staff and location; funky room....
It was a good location Breakfast started too late and there were really low ceilings (Apartment room). Also, there was not enough light in the room, and one of the windows would not close.
Staff are great! Help full! Sweet and hospitable staff!
nice clean room, central, good bathroom Noisy because its impossible to shut the room doors quietly and everything echos
The room and bathroom were very clean. It was the cheapest hotel we could find that was clean and decent and in the center of the city. The continental breakfast was generous, if spartan -- very crusty (almost tough) bread that needed to be dunked in tea to properly chew it. Great neighborhood! Lots of art galleries and bookstores. The room was tiny! We had to maneuver around each other to get around the bed.
I did not like my stay at all. Room and Service did not match expectations based on price and advertisement.
Hotel Villette listed the room as a shared shower but in reality it was an entire shared bath. We had an extra person and they charged us CHF35 but wouldn't bring an extra bed. Also, the breakfast was not a very good selling point - only coffee and 1 kind of bread!
The location of Hotel Villette is very nice (near Zurich lake，bellevue station and Grossmuenster). Free breakfast and WiFi.
The location was good. The breakfast provided was not sufficient. Atleat one egg item should be included.
the breakfast was abysmal no juice, and one slice of cold meat offered the first morning, but none the 2rd!

5 floor hotel above restaurant. Numerous dining, desert, bar, coffee options at varying prices within 300m. I booked 2 rooms for 4 guys. Beds split apart to make 2 twins. 1 room had included bathroom, the other room the bathroom & shower were outside the room and shared. Both rooms were clean & suited for my needs. Functional easy Internet passcode enabled me to plan activities & I message promtly. I was here as a tourist for 1 weekend & enjoyed the Zurich marathon while here. Location very close to start finish line enabled me to eat the included breakfast (meats, breads, cheese, vegetables) run race & limp back from finish. Price was driving factor for hotel selection. I had kayak searched location from city center & then visited 3 hotels prior to choosing the villet. I spent more on dinner last night, 1 block from hotel, than on hotel. Staff accomplished checkin/out & greeted for breakfast efficiently. A bit noisy during day, 1 block back from main road with construction nearby. Not noisy at all considering Zurich is a very quiet city.
Just location Awfully, extremely noisy. Compressor from a restaurant worked up to 11.30 p.m. and the tube was behind the wall of my room. Impossible to relax and to sleep. Not only shower is shared, but toilet as well is shared. It was not indicated in the website when I booked the hotel. The price 125 CHF per night is not adequate to the quality.
The only good thing about the hotel is it's location. Everyone knows Switzerland is expensive. If you want to stay in the city centre without paying a fortune you need to compromise. The Villette is such a compromise. However, I will look elsewhere when returning to Zurich. will
Location No where to park to check in, Room not great, the bed filled it!
