The location is good, not far from the waterfront and main train station. Although nothing they can do about it, construction in front of the hotel. It was a chore finding how to get to the hotel and to part with a rental car.
Directly located on main transit lines with quick access to center of Zurich. Great breakfast. Rooms, as in most mid range European hotels tend towards the small size.
Great value and service. About half an hour's walk to Old Town Zurich and excellent restaurants, with a number of different tram and bus lines meeting in the plaza right next to the hotel. The neighborhood isn't at all touristy which I actually liked. Lots of normal people doing normal business, and businesses to support normal life. Quiet at night.
We were disappointed with most aspects of this hotel. Having stayed in Zurich a few years ago at a similarly priced hotel Neufeld do not come up to our expectations of a similar standard. The room was far too small for a double room. Placed in the roof we found it to be cold as the heating was not turned on. We could barely move around the room. The tv was located in a position away from the beds, which were the only places to view tv. All furniture was crammed in. The bathroom was espcially small and uncomfortable. When showering with care the whole floor area and toilet bowl became drenched in water necessitating the use of hand towels to mop up the excessive water everywhere. The internet provided was analogue which was unreliable and incredibly slow. It must be said that the hostess in the breakfast room was most inhospitable and unfriendly with the food supplied to be of a second rate quality and of minimal quantity.
very clean and big room. not far from city center(small city after all). hair dryer is broken.
Clean comfortable room and bath, good value, good location You are really on your own at this place, and there is no parking on site or nearby. When I called to ask where to park, they told me they had no idea, and eventually, I had to go park near the train station, over a mile away, for 40 francs a day.
