The staff was the greatest ever ! The central air !!! My babies got sick so I had to stay another day . The room was very cold !!! & the power outage in the middle of the night !!! No food on site & delivery was a problem . No table in rooms to eat . The step where the ac is is not very safe for small children . No room to move around inside my room every time my daughter turned around she bumped into a piece of furniture
The hotel room was filthy, towels were dirty and the staff was rude
It was a great room, they are currently remodeling the hotel so during the day there is a little noise from construction. The staff was polite and great as well. I wish the bathroom was a bit larger because two people trying to get ready at the same time isn't going to happen.
Aesthetically/ mechanically challenged. Duct tape in elevator, multiple stains on carpet, huge amounts of cardboard hiding pipes.
The views are amazing and so is the location. $50 Credit Card incidentals.
Nice, hotel. Room has windows that actually open and let's fresh air in. Bathroom is small and doors open outward like a closet. One of the bathroom doors was jammed and we kept squeezing in through one. Rooms look like they are still being worked on. Few things here and there that look unfinished. Like the window seals and dry wall left-overs.
I liked how easy it was to Valet my car and was only $20 a day with in and out privileges. Checking into the hotel was fast and had an assistant to help. The room on the 15th Floor for King size bed and renovated was very pleasant and spacious. The location is super close to downtown which has the convention center, Staples Arena, Shopping and restaurants. When I checked in to my room, turned out to be the wrong room as it was under renovation with a maid cart in the middle. We went back down and the front desk upgrade us to the King size suite. The elevator has under renovation with a huge hole at the top and the bell man scared us about comparing it to the Ring. The lobby was under renovation as we looked forward seeing it.
The room was cute and bigger then i expected for a standard room i loved it, super surprised. I was skeptical at first because the neighborhood isn't that great but as soon as you walk in completely different than what you think it's going to be the staff were super nice and helpful and the room is really clean The heater didn't work just the AC so I got a little cold in the middle of the night the extra blanket wasn't too much of a help the bathroom door keep getting stuck so only one side will open nothing major the areas in the best area but I don't think that the hotel can help that. Also parking was sort of a pain in the butt I had to pay $30 for the valet to park my car
View, Staff, Location
The rooms that were available and renovated looked nice. But there was no other "good" things about it. I disliked everything. The AC and the water didn't work the first day we were there. The construction seemed slow going making the place look like trash. The location is kinda in a beatdown neighbor hood. The bathrooms are the size of a coat closet and the shower wouldn't fit fairly obese person so it's not size friendly. Staff didn't do certain things when requested, like bringing us a fan because the AC didn't work. Luckily I got all my money back when I left. This place needs to shut down and finish all the renovations or never open again.
Close to everything Location was close to everything but not in a nice area. No parking available at hotel ($30 a night, not included in your rate). Rooms are very small, pictures and ad on site are misleading.
convenient downtown location and good value no air conditioning...room was hot at night
Location Very old and smells. Not a 3 stars motel.
Clean Free parking Location It seems like their walls, ceilings and floors are paper thin. We can hear people above us walking all night and it serous sounded like they may fall through the ceilings anytime. We can hear other people's conversation and having sex clearly. The A.C. in the room has a remote control but it doesn't work. The front desk told us its temperature can only be controlled by the hotel.
I like the location it was near everything. We checked into our rooms at the front desk got our card-keys walked to our room and the maintenance lady was still cleaning our rooms. We waited another 5mins outside. Paid way too much too.
nothing I booked a room for one night through Kayak and made a phone call to the hotel that I would like to extend my reservation to two nights. The front desk person told me it was done and my reservation was for two nights. I arrived the hotel at 10:30 am on the day of my reservation and was told that the room was not ready yet and they could check in my bag and asked me to come back later. I came back at 10 pm that night and the other front desk person told me my room was gone!!!!!!! 10 pm, single girl in Los Angeles downtown with no room to stay. I even did not get an apology. The front desk person said it was not her that told me that I had a reservation. I asked her to give me the contact info of the person who worked in the morning, and she refused. I asked her to call her manager, and she just texted when she could actually call her. She kept saying that there was not much they could do. I had to be responsible for their fault. They do not have anything they listed on their profile. There is no shuttle service, you have to book through other shuttle agencies. You actually really don’t need them to book the shuttle, and you can do it all by yourself. Their internet connection was AWEFULL!! It was extremely slow and always down. The staff was not helpful at all. Their security guy, who was a contractor from other company was really a nice guy and helpful. But their staff are not familiar with their business, not responsible for their mistake, not able to deal with emergencies, not helpful with their customers. Please do not stay with them. The service is so bad, and they do not take responsibility of their fault and they try everything to make themselves look good instead of helping their customers. IT was such a BIG mistake that I chose them. I have never had a worse experience!
The only good thing was the gentleman that worked the midshift. The staff in the morning are horrible. When trying to call down there they hang up on you. I would like a complete refund. On the weekends there is no manager on duty or one you can speak to. I needed a new tv for the room never got it. Took three hours to get roll-a-way and that's after going down to front desk to retrieve myself. The place said they have a lounge, all lies they closed it sometime ago. I would highly recommend cutting this hotel off kayaks list. And suggested everyone to stay far away.
Todo esta bien Nada
Rooms were clean. I didn't like how parking at the hotel site was limited. We had to park across the street, although is was specifically for the hotel and gated/locked. Our toilet wouldn't flush a few times too. The halls smelled as well (while walking to our rooms). Rooms were super small.
stayed for an event at Expo park. Best value for dollar in the area. Free underground parking and free wifi. King bed room was clean and Ac works great. Room was a little small. Not enough space in the bathroom.
Great staff.. friendly and accommodating. Comfortable room and beds. Clean. Great location with free parking. Awesome shower with great water pressure. Fridge and microwave in room. Updated decor and furniture that was all in very good condition. I would stay there again. Building is clearly an older one so even though it was clean and well maintained on the surface, it did smell a bit funky. I stayed in the main (older) part of the hotel. There appear to be 2 other newer additions.
Our room had plenty of space and was quiet, and everything in the hotel was well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely consider staying there again the next time I'm in the area. There's a charge for the breakfast buffet, and I couldn't simply get a cup of coffee without purchasing the buffet,
Room service They run out of water for 6-7 hours and they did not let us know, there is not enough parking lot.
The location for me is really good, I would like that next time the room is cleanest, The bathroom was dirty :(
Might be the cheapest place to stay in Downtown L.A., parking facilities are good. The Hotel was really old, the fridge in the room was really loud so we had to switch it off
the continental breakfast they served and the staff
Friendly staff, safe parking lot, clean rooms, free breakfast, comfortable beds. I was left wondering where the bad reviews came from. I only needed a room for one night so that I could be at Good Samaritan hospital at 6:00 AM the next morning. It was very adequate for my needs and I would use this hotel again if I needed. The walls between rooms are thin and I could clearly hear my neighbors.
The location was convenient but not a great area of downtown Los Angeles, so expectations were not high. Had no problems with the neighborhood. The room was newly refurbished, committed green philosophy, with modern industrial décor. Large room, comfortable, very clean, good sized bathroom. Security was present and visible which was important as we were two females on the 1st floor. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel. Continental breakfast was pre-packaged muffins etc. However, they did always have coffee available and offered orange juice, fresh fruit, bananas, apples, oranges which offset the lack of heartier fare.
This hotel is relatively not too far from the subway station. Poor breakfast, reception service, no shuttle service from airport (although this hotel appears in your web among those hotels that have this service)
We went down for our daughter's FIDM fashion show debut. The hotel was just around the corner from her apartment, so the location worked out great for us. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we needed to go. Can be a bit noisy. Breakfast could be better.
The location is very close to downtown and metro, bus stations. The room was quite clean and spacious. The Hotel was really old and walls between rooms were very thin so I heard much noise from side rooms and parking lot and I couldn't sleep after 6 a.m. The breakfast was very poor. Hotel staff had forgotten to call a taxi to the airport on my request so I had to request it a second time.
Kindness of staff, Quality and Circimstances of Breakfest
The front desk staff was pleasant. The front desk did not have a copy of my reservation and did not have a room to sell me when I got there. It took over an hour to get the issue resolved and get into a room.
I liked the beds they were actually comfortable and the showers!!!!! I did notlike the breakfast it was old stale food, I did not like the pool it was disgusting and I definitely did not like the neighborhood, kind of dangerous area!!!!
You share a house with strangers, nobody in change. Unsafe, shouldn't be advertised in a hotels website
One bathroom for 2 rooms and one kitchen for 3 ppl 3 rooms u don't even knew with whom u will share a house. That's really weird and scary...: also very bad Naighbarhood. I would never go back or recommended to someone
It was very cheap and the pictures were honest, the maid cleaned daily and replenished toiletries, the staff were pleasant and helpful and let us into our room as soon as it was ready, room has fridge which was very useful, king room is big with table and chairs, good transport links and lots of shops and fast food restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Good hotel for budget travellers. Noisy residents in numerous rooms late at night and early in the morning, traffic noise and sirens heard from room, the surrounding area has lots of homeless people, bathroom towels are very small, no pool, breakfast or room safety box available-but we knew this when booking
Good location. About 20 min work or 5 stops bus ride to the convention center. Subway, McDonalds, El Pollo Lico, a small market, a coin laundary are near-by. Two Mexican and Two Korean restaurants are also nearby. Easy to find it. I got about fifteen bug bites. It may be flea, bed-bug, or roach. I cannot find what the exact bug is. Anyway, I cannot recommend this hotel. Ah, anothe thing. there is no coffee machine or pot or microwave in the room. You have no tools at all to make warm water.
Well-lit parking lot. Blankets had cigarette burn holes (non-smoking room) Curtain had cigarette burn holes (non-smoking room) Doors and walls were dirty. Carpet was frayed in large areas.
I like the proximity to down town Los Angeles and the convenience of taking the Metro bus. It is close to restaurants.
The free parking was probably the most useful thing for us as we were travelling with a car.
Giant spider in room. I am scared of spiders...but didnt hold it against this place, rest was clean. I just hate spiders! So clean is good, spider sounds bad...but good...was clean. Pay for ice...I paid over 100$ for a night, and no free ice...which is cold water...I guess I'm spoiled from living in vegas where hotels/casinos give a lot while you stay there. Seemed expensive. TV was fuzzy for 100$.
good price, kind staff. air conditioner, bed.
The staff was ok and they are kind of friendly. The staff is ok, but the comfort of the bed was worse, I have never had such rough matress like that. I was rolling from side to side ,I couldn't sleep all night. The bed is too noiesey and the mattress is like you are slepping on the floor. Breakfast is poor I mean very poor, the room is too small and no fridge, no iron, I mean very bad experiance........
It was a bad experience the room was not clean .... And in a horrible environment
There was a fridge and microwave in my room, the reviews are true. I came in on a greyhound bus with my toddler son and husband. The station was about 2 miles from the hotel. The street was full of homeless people and druggies, but other than that the hotel was close to staples center and many la attractions. We arrived early for check in, and the man was nice enough to let us keep our bags at the front desk until we returned. Shower and ac worked alright. Tv had many channels. Free breakfast consisted of coffee and orange juice, toast with jam and cereal. The beds were stiff, but personally i enjoy firm surfaces. But you can tell they are extremely outdated. The ac was also outdated and noisey, but i made it through the night with no major disruptions. The room was all tile and slippery, but it kept the room cool although it was tough for my toddler to walk without slipping. All in all it can use some improvement everywhere;paint job, molding; etc. Pool was friendly but kindof small. Although the guy was nice enough to let us leave our luggage he was standoffish to letting us use the bathroom before we left or change our son. I also asked about the breakfast and he said since we hadnt paid we werent allowed to use it although we had rooms reserved with credit card. He rushed us out and seemed irritated we were there so early in the morning.
Location to Staples center was great. TV in room didn't work No fitted sheet on the bed. 3 pillows on a queen bed instead of 4.
Close to the freeway No iron board, no closets , bad old towels like hags .
It's conveniently located in downtown, and the price is very low compared to other motels in the area. Plus the rooms are fairly spacious. Other than the low price, and perhaps the location (if that's important), there's not much going for this place. The towels were somewhat discolored, which makes me wonder how clean they are, and the housekeeping service left obvious signs that they did not thoroughly clean the room. There was no refrigerator or microwave oven in the room, no closet or hangars, no coffee machine, nothing else of that nature - all reasonable omissions considering the price, but it really contributes to giving an cheap impression.
Free parking, hardwood floors Rude staff person
Cheap, has cable tv, quiet, sink and bathroom was clean. The bed was completely the worst. Don't even know what it was made of but it was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. Could barely get any sleep. Also the internet definitely was too slow to even be considered "free wifi". No extra sheets/pillows.
Smelly and there are cockroaches...
It was cheaper than other options and not too far from everything. The housekeeping did a very poor job of cleaning and restocking. They opened the windows and balcony while we were gone, I assume to air it out, but this made us feel unsafe when we got back to our room. Someone could easily have stepped into the window to steal all our things or worse.
BED WAS COMFORTABLE SMELLY, OLD, DIRTY CARPET, SHOWER RUSTY
The staff was friendly and courteous. Close to Universal studios. The first room we got smelled really bad. There were stains on the bed and the furniture was old and worn. Overall feel of the room was awful. I complained to the front desk and they upgraded my room for a discounted price. There wasn'tmuch difference between the new suite and the old room except it didnt smell as bad and there was more room. But overall there were were still stains on the bedding, the bathroom didnt seem as clean and there was a hole in one of the walls. I seeing how i couldnt get a refund is the only thing that kept me there. Also the hotel is near some type of kennel so be prepared to hear a lot of barking at different times during the day. My overall experience was lacking and i would not recomend this hotel. Also the rooms look nothing like they do online.
Location Room description: Old saggy mattresses Stained toilet bowl One of three lights functional Dusty coffeemaker and no cups Exterior walls/corridors dirty
Location Internet signal is very weak

The inside was nice- breakfast area, lounging area were all nice. Rooms were ample sized. Inside of rooms was quiet. There was only one elevator and it was slow. The vending machines/ and such on each floor were kindof unattractive. The area itself was not great, but felt safe from the outside and not something the hotel can control.
Everything was great
The bed is very comfortable The breakfast is closed early!
Relatively new and still in decent shape Neighborhood is a little rough
The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. No complaints.
Very nice and clean hotel
Clean, consistent holiday Inn express experience The area the hotel is in is in a seethy part of Los Angeles not a place you would want to walk around in at night

I was deceived by the location of hotel. Neighborhood is depressed and appears to be unsafe.

The service, the room, the location, small, convenient. The parking can be challenging but the front desk was helpful.
Room was spacious, very comfortable and they had it ready very early so we could check in before check-in time. Staff was rude and there was no way to opt out of housekeeping if you wanted to sleep in.
