Very good position at the downtown, near the 7th street and subway central station. Room and bathroom is small.
Location in LA downtown. Proximity to all connections. Last minute price for king-room was attractive. Hotel gives an impression it was renovated in the 70's last century. Very poor condition of rooms, furniture, floors. Extremely small bathroom. Air-conditioning in the room works as loud as diesel engine.
staff, location, comfort
The staff were very helpful The bathroom was very small
The only thing I could possibly say that I liked was the fact I was able to book a room at the last minute. Dirty rooms, including the sheets, bathrooms, carpet and old furniture. Discourteous front desk personnel, no amenities, bad neighborhood, prostitutes in garage, double charges on credit card, etc.
It was a great room, they are currently remodeling the hotel so during the day there is a little noise from construction. The staff was polite and great as well. I wish the bathroom was a bit larger because two people trying to get ready at the same time isn't going to happen.
Very cheap and great location. Only breakfast available at restaurant.
The bed was big and comfy No coffee cups in room. The room key card did not work the first 3 times they programmed them.
Only location. Parking fee 10$ per day is outragrous. Rooms don't have refrigerator.
Quite old hotel, not that nice. Surroundings not pleasent at all. seemed like the mexican area, strangers on the street at evening time. Almost nothing around. Would not stay there again!
I think the hotel has a good location...that's the only good point. Cleanliness, comfort, services, facilities...
Proximity to LA Live/ Convention Center. Clean sheets on beds. Staff was not friendly or welcoming. Facilities were old and the rooms had a mold or mildew smell to them.
very good, and good service.
Very close to Staples Center. Staff was helpful in offering directions
value for money.good location. the floor boards in the room I stayed was squeeking at several spot.needs repairs.
Very comfortable. Good service.
The hotel personnel was efficient and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The food was decent.
Hotel was very nice and so were the rooms. it was near downtown and close to where we were visiting. the staff was helpful.
It was a cheap choice and had free wifi and a gym. The "hotel" which is more like a motel had a courtyard in the middle. All the rooms (or at least most of them) are facing this courtyard and this caused two problems. First the only window in the hotel room was facing this yard, so if people were outside, they were staring directly into your room. And second, there were always people in the courtyard, so there was often a lot of noise coming from there and people smoking. We were woken up very early in the mornings due to noise from people gathering in the courtyard.
it was ok.air con not woking no
i liked everything no
Might be the cheapest place to stay in Downtown L.A., parking facilities are good. The Hotel was really old, the fridge in the room was really loud so we had to switch it off
the continental breakfast they served and the staff
This hotel is relatively not too far from the subway station. Poor breakfast, reception service, no shuttle service from airport (although this hotel appears in your web among those hotels that have this service)
Kindness of staff, Quality and Circimstances of Breakfest
We went down for our daughter's FIDM fashion show debut. The hotel was just around the corner from her apartment, so the location worked out great for us. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we needed to go. Can be a bit noisy. Breakfast could be better.
I liked the beds they were actually comfortable and the showers!!!!! I did notlike the breakfast it was old stale food, I did not like the pool it was disgusting and I definitely did not like the neighborhood, kind of dangerous area!!!!
The location is very close to downtown and metro, bus stations. The room was quite clean and spacious. The Hotel was really old and walls between rooms were very thin so I heard much noise from side rooms and parking lot and I couldn't sleep after 6 a.m. The breakfast was very poor. Hotel staff had forgotten to call a taxi to the airport on my request so I had to request it a second time.
Room service They run out of water for 6-7 hours and they did not let us know, there is not enough parking lot.
Friendly staff, safe parking lot, clean rooms, free breakfast, comfortable beds. I was left wondering where the bad reviews came from. I only needed a room for one night so that I could be at Good Samaritan hospital at 6:00 AM the next morning. It was very adequate for my needs and I would use this hotel again if I needed. The walls between rooms are thin and I could clearly hear my neighbors.
The front desk staff was pleasant. The front desk did not have a copy of my reservation and did not have a room to sell me when I got there. It took over an hour to get the issue resolved and get into a room.
The location for me is really good, I would like that next time the room is cleanest, The bathroom was dirty :(
The location was convenient but not a great area of downtown Los Angeles, so expectations were not high. Had no problems with the neighborhood. The room was newly refurbished, committed green philosophy, with modern industrial décor. Large room, comfortable, very clean, good sized bathroom. Security was present and visible which was important as we were two females on the 1st floor. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel. Continental breakfast was pre-packaged muffins etc. However, they did always have coffee available and offered orange juice, fresh fruit, bananas, apples, oranges which offset the lack of heartier fare.
You share a house with strangers, nobody in change. Unsafe, shouldn't be advertised in a hotels website
One bathroom for 2 rooms and one kitchen for 3 ppl 3 rooms u don't even knew with whom u will share a house. That's really weird and scary...: also very bad Naighbarhood. I would never go back or recommended to someone
Giant spider in room. I am scared of spiders...but didnt hold it against this place, rest was clean. I just hate spiders! So clean is good, spider sounds bad...but good...was clean. Pay for ice...I paid over 100$ for a night, and no free ice...which is cold water...I guess I'm spoiled from living in vegas where hotels/casinos give a lot while you stay there. Seemed expensive. TV was fuzzy for 100$.
Well-lit parking lot. Blankets had cigarette burn holes (non-smoking room) Curtain had cigarette burn holes (non-smoking room) Doors and walls were dirty. Carpet was frayed in large areas.
good price, kind staff. air conditioner, bed.
Good location. About 20 min work or 5 stops bus ride to the convention center. Subway, McDonalds, El Pollo Lico, a small market, a coin laundary are near-by. Two Mexican and Two Korean restaurants are also nearby. Easy to find it. I got about fifteen bug bites. It may be flea, bed-bug, or roach. I cannot find what the exact bug is. Anyway, I cannot recommend this hotel. Ah, anothe thing. there is no coffee machine or pot or microwave in the room. You have no tools at all to make warm water.
I like the proximity to down town Los Angeles and the convenience of taking the Metro bus. It is close to restaurants.
It was very cheap and the pictures were honest, the maid cleaned daily and replenished toiletries, the staff were pleasant and helpful and let us into our room as soon as it was ready, room has fridge which was very useful, king room is big with table and chairs, good transport links and lots of shops and fast food restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Good hotel for budget travellers. Noisy residents in numerous rooms late at night and early in the morning, traffic noise and sirens heard from room, the surrounding area has lots of homeless people, bathroom towels are very small, no pool, breakfast or room safety box available-but we knew this when booking
The free parking was probably the most useful thing for us as we were travelling with a car.
The staff was ok and they are kind of friendly. The staff is ok, but the comfort of the bed was worse, I have never had such rough matress like that. I was rolling from side to side ,I couldn't sleep all night. The bed is too noiesey and the mattress is like you are slepping on the floor. Breakfast is poor I mean very poor, the room is too small and no fridge, no iron, I mean very bad experiance........
There was a fridge and microwave in my room, the reviews are true. I came in on a greyhound bus with my toddler son and husband. The station was about 2 miles from the hotel. The street was full of homeless people and druggies, but other than that the hotel was close to staples center and many la attractions. We arrived early for check in, and the man was nice enough to let us keep our bags at the front desk until we returned. Shower and ac worked alright. Tv had many channels. Free breakfast consisted of coffee and orange juice, toast with jam and cereal. The beds were stiff, but personally i enjoy firm surfaces. But you can tell they are extremely outdated. The ac was also outdated and noisey, but i made it through the night with no major disruptions. The room was all tile and slippery, but it kept the room cool although it was tough for my toddler to walk without slipping. All in all it can use some improvement everywhere;paint job, molding; etc. Pool was friendly but kindof small. Although the guy was nice enough to let us leave our luggage he was standoffish to letting us use the bathroom before we left or change our son. I also asked about the breakfast and he said since we hadnt paid we werent allowed to use it although we had rooms reserved with credit card. He rushed us out and seemed irritated we were there so early in the morning.
Close to the freeway No iron board, no closets , bad old towels like hags .
It's conveniently located in downtown, and the price is very low compared to other motels in the area. Plus the rooms are fairly spacious. Other than the low price, and perhaps the location (if that's important), there's not much going for this place. The towels were somewhat discolored, which makes me wonder how clean they are, and the housekeeping service left obvious signs that they did not thoroughly clean the room. There was no refrigerator or microwave oven in the room, no closet or hangars, no coffee machine, nothing else of that nature - all reasonable omissions considering the price, but it really contributes to giving an cheap impression.
Free parking, hardwood floors Rude staff person
Smelly and there are cockroaches...
Cheap, has cable tv, quiet, sink and bathroom was clean. The bed was completely the worst. Don't even know what it was made of but it was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. Could barely get any sleep. Also the internet definitely was too slow to even be considered "free wifi". No extra sheets/pillows.
perfect location for quick access to Downtown events Hotel was great, but did NOT know about the $100 'damage deposit' requested at check-in
Hotel was clean. Price was high for included amenities.
Clean room at a great price. You can hear people in the hall as if they're in your room. Staff unfriendly, unprofessional, and that's if they were around.
Modern decor, clean, and the beds are so comfortable. Microwaves and refrigerator included, so bring food if you arrive late. Parking can be a challenge but not on Saturday night. No parking meter charge for Sundays.
Nothing Yea customer service! Increasing pricesupon arrival! Never booking again!
The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly and obliging. The area around it was perhaps a little sketchy at night, but nothing too alarming. Overall, I really loved it. The place looked well maintained the room was cozy and the bed comfy and clean.
Very clean and accessible. It's walking distance from some good restaurants. They were able to save my earring from the sink drain when I accidentally dropped it. Very accommodating. I would give this hotel at least 3/5 stars. One of the nights of my stay there were loud people in another room, but other than that, it was fine.
The cleanliness of the room. No parking at all. Rude male staff.
Pretty affordable, nice modern rooms The neighborhood isn't for everyone. I didn't have a problem with the area, but I can definitely see why some people could feel a bit uneasy about the neighborhood, especially at night.
Overall experience was great. The only thing that I would point out if you can call it a problem was that the maid would only make one of the two beds.
About one mile away from staples center.
Location Internet signal is very weak
Everything was great

Clean, consistent holiday Inn express experience The area the hotel is in is in a seethy part of Los Angeles not a place you would want to walk around in at night
The inside was nice- breakfast area, lounging area were all nice. Rooms were ample sized. Inside of rooms was quiet. There was only one elevator and it was slow. The vending machines/ and such on each floor were kindof unattractive. The area itself was not great, but felt safe from the outside and not something the hotel can control.

I was deceived by the location of hotel. Neighborhood is depressed and appears to be unsafe.
