After the check-in and first night, the staff were great. Shout-out to Mary who really made us feel at home. The check in was terrible. We reserved a room with double beds. When we got there in the evening (~7pm) we were told that they only had a room with a king bed and be thankful that you have that. They said they have a couch and that they would send up some pillows and sheets. Never happened. Called but no luck...they just could find anything extra...really!!!
I liked how it looked online... When we got to the "spacious" room we could barely roll our luggage in it was so small. We began to shower and the water was out (pipe burst) They wouldn't move us rooms so we had to wait 5 hours for the water to come on to shower after a 6 hour flight. Then the lights/power went out in our room at 7pm and wasn't fixed until 9:30pm... What did they do for us? A free drink at the bar... Gee thanks.
The location was great for our stay. Liked the breakfast with a variety of hot and cold choices. Décor is unique. Room was small. With two queen beds there was not room for a chair. This wasn't that important as we didn't spend much time in the room
The location was very convenient to the Beverley Hills etc. area and shopping. Price was reasonable as well. Rooms are very small, particularly the rooms with two beds. There is some road noise for those facing the street.
Comfortable bed, Bathroom and shower were nice and clean. Convenient location Wifi kept cutting out. Very slow
We got this hotel because we are college kids on a roadtrip. It was cheap and close to santa monica beach and venice beach. The reviews we read said that they didnt have hot water but we did. Despite the bad things, they are making an effort to be a better hotel. No toilet paper, dirty floors, cigarette smell in the room, sketchy neighbors, cigarette burns on the sheets. Two rooms had bed bugs according to a sticky note on the receptionist's window. Oh did i mention the gunshots at 2am? It was also really hard to get parking. Pretty sure i saw some drug dealers sleeping in their car and selling to hotel guests.
