This place needs to update its heat/cooling systems. The whole hotel has to be on either heat or cool in order to get your room where you want it temperature wise. I will not stay here again! The first room that we were given was like a dungeon, all slate floors and it was cold and dark, our second room had mold growth in the shower. Please read above. The free breakfast was great and the hotel looks great, outside
Great place to stay! Stayed in a suite and the room was clean and large. Enjoyed the breakfast as well. Facilities were great, loved the pools and swans! Happy hour left something to be desired, but I can't complain about free alcohol and snacks. Parking was limited also but was never an issue
the location is centrally located, near the winnery and restaurant. the room are very nicely decorated and cozy. the hotel is quite big, you have to walk far to go to your room,
Beautiful Hotel!!! Breakfast was not well organized, i would rather pay for it instead
The breakfast and manager's reception were a good value. Location is very convenient to the historical downtown, where the majority of the restaurants are located. It was a $6 uber ride most nights. The location is also very close to the highway, making it very easy to get to the wineries. They didn't vacuum the floors! On the second day, we found popcorn next to furniture that we hadn't used the first day, and we hasn't eaten any popcorn. If you want a king-size bed, you have to book direct. And be aware - they say they offer rooms with two queen-size beds, but they're actually full-size beds.
Room and breakfast. We were on vacation with our young children and while the facilities were lovely we could not enjoy them as pretty much the entire hotel allowed smoking exciting for one small outdoor seating area that actually included a sign 'designated for non smokers'. It really put us off returning to this hotel.
Great customer service, beautiful courtyard and loved the complimentary breakfast. Ceiling was a little thin, could hear upstairs guests stomping around at 6am.
They actually have the decency to have a card in your room stating that your breakfast service worsens with the time of arrival. Touche! This hotel is tucked between a busy highway 29 and California street. The traffic noise is deafening with the windows open and bad with them closed. Asking to change rooms is useless as they reserve the best locations for business customers. Breakfast service is horrible. There are not enough tables to accommodate everyone and the servers make no effort to help you find one. The bread was full of mold, and we had to notify the kitchen. The bathroom toilet leaked, the bed mattresses are old, but luckily they have a half comfortable pad covering them. The noise permeates from room to room. The pool is a miniature version. This hotel is not worth the money they ask. It's overpriced and over-rated.
Excellent breakfasts. Nice rooms.
The facility was beautiful, much more than I expected. The cook to order breakfast was a bonus. Room appeared clean at first glance, but I dropped something between the couch and needed to move it. The floor had a layer of dirt and there was food, clothing and all sorts of other stuff. The pull out bed and extra blanket in the closet were both soiled.
The free breakfast buffet was great. The managers happy hour every night was also very nice. The bed was decent The insulation between the floors is pretty poor. We could hear the people upstairs walking around. There was also some long-term stains on the towels that were in our room.
It was perfect for our stay. Clean, comfortable, spacious, great price and good location. Really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant next door. Good food and great margaritas. :)
Location. Close to downtown while easy drive to Yountville and St. Helena. Only bad thing I ran in to was the Business Center. The monitor was not connected to the actual computer.
Great location. Love the free parking and free wifi. Nice renovations on the hotel, even though we were told we didn't get a renovated room. The bathrooms could use some work. Lots broken (toilet paper holder, drain stopper, etc). Also towels could be bigger, hard to wrap around on average size person.

I really liked the set up of the Hotel and the room. The staff were very responsive and helpful and attentive to my families needs. No very satisfied with our stay.
It's location is just off the highway, so it is convenient for driving to many locations in the Napa Valley. Clean room, TV, 2-Queen beds, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, shampoo, lotion, etc. Full breakfast - continental style. Dark hallway decor is not pleasing, but who spends time in the hallways? If one wishes to walk to restaurants & shops, this is not the right place. There's almost nothing within walking distance.
Front desk staff very polite and friendly. Room walls and connecting door very, very thin.
This hotel is rated too high. 2.5 star at best. I feel robbed
Very newly renovated. Likely a former motor lodge but feels much nicer than that inside. The location was easy to find although it is a bit away from the better known wineries. Very clean and well decorated rooms made it an easy stay. The location is not ideal, but is easily found.
The room was large. Free parking. Free hot breakfast was pretty good. I did not feel safe staying here. Homeless people hanging out in back of hotel. Hallway smells of stale smoke & stinky air freshener. Doors are in bad shape. 1st room, my door was open. Assigned new room but felt nervous walking alone to room (saw a sketchy man).Décor is awful.
Convenience to the city and the wineries
Alexis at the front desk was absolutely wonderful!!!!!! I had the best trip I've had in years. It was breathtaking and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend the silverado to anyone that wants to have a truly great time in napa! Nothing
Quiet and tranquil setting on in a small golf course community Dated décor. The TV was from the 1980's.
Great bees and nice rooms. The location was far away. The pool was closed but was advertised as open. I think it should be heated to provide more activities.
The grounds/golf course is really nice. For the premium price, the facilities look a little tired. It needs a serious upgrade. The two bedroom suites are not even a part of the resort. You have to drive out of the property to get there.
Check in went smoothly, the staff were friendly. They were able to accommodate an early check in and a late check out which was exactly what we needed for our stay for a friend's wedding. Loved the clean white smooth bed sheets. And the shower is amazing! The walls are thin. We woke up few times early in the morning. We could hear the couple talking, opening closing drawers, and opening plastic wraps. The refrigerator and a/c are a bit noisy... the little light from the a/c is also pretty bright too.
The property and grounds are beautiful Our room was tiny and uncomfortable. No place to sit except the bed or a stiff slipper chair. Somewhat dated decor. The door to the bathroom didn't open completely because it hit the toilet. Once in the bathroom almost impossible to turn around. Overall we were very disappointed. This was not worth $300+ per night.
We had visited Silverado about 35 years ago. I don't think they changed the carpet or the decor in all those years. Everything looked old and shoddy. It definitely is not the luxury resort which we remembered, and as such is way overpriced. Their computer system must be very old as it took almost 30 minutes for us top check out while they were awaiting our breakfast bill. Although the staff was friendly, they did not seem well trained. Overall, it was a disappointment.
Staff was great, room great, and activities were nice. Would recommend to all, but can't say enough about the staff... Nothing had a great trip
The room although tiny, was nicely designed, nice bed Although property was on golf course, tiny room had no view of golf course, no upgrade was available-looked out on carport, parking in front of room not provided for paying guest, only "owners" - fitness center limited
As compared to many other locations in Napa in October, this resort met all of the needs - Fitness facility, plush bed, shower, suite. View of the golf course was great. The finishes of the units are becoming quite aged. Many of the fixtures and furniture seemed drab. The air filters need to be changed more often as well.
Location and staff The facility needs significant upgrade. Felt like it's a condo in 1990.
Standard Westin property. Good location for Napa Valley visit. Property seemed to be trying just a little too hard to be a super-luxury resort, but then came up short in delivery. Had to ask multiple times for items promised earlier. Front desk lost a package we left for another guest.
The staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging a winery visit. Several of the "amenities" were closed or inaccessible during our stay. We were also placed in a room adjacent to the massive ac system which of course droned on during the whole of our stay, making it difficult to enjoy the balcony much less get a good night's sleep.
The rooms were spacious and I loved the pool area and the beauty of the facility. Being so close to the Silverado Trail was a bonus. It was pricier than it should have been.
We stayed in a king vineyard suite and it was absolutely beautiful! Our patio was steps away from the vineyard! The entire suite was perfect! The wine tasting at the hotel was great too!
Liked the little extras like bottle of Hasl Wine and lavender spray. Great breakfasts and happy hours. Small room but nice and clean. A little noisy at night. Beautiful property but a little to close to highway.
The location is perfectly situation next to a lot of the nearby wineries which made it convenient, we even walked down the street to the Italian restaurant next door for dinner. The breakfast was pretty great with a lot of fresh fruit and pastries! The staff were very helpful. Our first room was small and had the tiniest bathroom and we were a bit underwhelmed by the pool (the pictures made it seem much larger).
Convenient location (in town would be nicer, but for the price it's hard to argue with a few minute drive). Large, clean room, good bed, excellent shower, lots of convenient parking. Really, nothing to complain about. Would stay there again without hesitation.
The comp wine and cheeses apon arrival and breakfast was good. Staff was really nice. Nothing was all great value for your money.
For being a no-frills type of hotel, I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable and they even have a pool. Considering most visits to Napa include busy days wine tasting and evenings spent trying new delicious restaurants, I don't find that I need much more from a hotel than what the Napa Winery Inn has to offer.
I'd say this is one rung above a motel, if that's what you're looking for and in Napa during high season this is your place. Staff was very friendly. Great location. Hair dryer was not attached to the wall (as it should have been, it was one of those hotel hair dryers) so it slipped all over the counter and overheated 3x while drying hair. Towels are old and ragged. Toilet seat was stained and old.
We arrive late and had missed the wine reception but the receptionist gave us 2 glasses of wine we could take up to the room. She then provided us with tons of information and recommendations. We took her recommendations and do not regret it one bit, for ashort stay in Napa I feel like we got the best of everything.
Room was a good size, clean, comfy bed. the staff, location, and value are excellent! VERY outdated decor, bathroom doors, and ac/heater unit. Upgrades would help lift the overall ambiance.
The highs -Beautiful bathroom -Extremely fast check in -Complimentary wine -Complimentary non-alcoholic snacks and drinks in the room -The bed -The Decor -the SILENCE The Lows -That we stayed such a short time
Great breakfast, great location Great service
The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The location of our room was less than satisfactory. Much of the night their were noisey activities happening. We could hear the auction, music, dj, etc as if they were in our room with us.
The room was beautiful with nice decor. it was pretty specious with a king size bed and a pull out queen size sofa bed. The welcoming bottle of wine was great. The whole property was beautiful esp. with the winery facing hotel. Our only regret was no one came to clean up our room even when the "no disturb" sign was not hanging outside the door. One cannot turn on the shower while standing outside the bathtub. As a result, one has to go inside the tub, turn on the water and stay inside the tub to wait for the water to turn warm.
The staff were very accommodating, a big thanks to Rosemarie. The room was spotless and amazing. Outside was quiet and peaceful. I wish I could've used more of their amenities. A little far from wine tasting. Nothing else.
Hidden charges. No coffee in room. Keys didn't work. Phone kept on ringing, front desk was calling.
Nice location Very comfortable rooms Pool on the small side for that size resort Food at wedding reception was disappointing Meat was dry and fish was mushy
The property could have been better kept. There were a few fix-it items in the rooms. The lounge chairs outside looked a little worn and dirty. It seemed like there had been a few parties that weekend but the clean up is key for all guests to enjoy. Those small touches could make all the difference.
The room was lovely. The bowling alley and pool area is very fun. The newer area was clean and nice looking. Check in was quick and easy. Bell service was fast but not well informed. The pool area was dirty with trash apparent, the glass tables had not been cleaned from the day before and the cushions need to be replaced as they are stained and worn from use and sun exposure. We were charged two restaurant charges that were not ours. We had to make three or four calls to have it corrected. It finally was, but with no apology for the mistake, trouble, time, etc.... The older area of the hotel needs painting, the tile needs cleaning or painting, the carpet needs to be replaced and just generally needs a facelift to match the newer wing. The hot tub was not hot.
I've stayed here for both business and leisure now and love the cleanliness and staff! Free valet is great with plenty of parking on-site. • 20 minute drive to Downtown Yountville • Food at the pool and Siena are expensive
The resort was beautiful. Lots to do on site. Nice cafe for breakfast/coffee. The resort did not honor the reservation for a two queen bed room as reserved.
The spa was beautiful and the wine tasting with chocolate was great. Excitement turned to dread when we rolled in and it was off of Corporate Way, there is no place within walking distance and it feels very much like a corporate event space. We got engaged a couple days before and this was not the atmosphere we were looking for! At least I got the stuff done at the DMV that I needed to do that is a few blocks away...
Spa services were great Hotel was very full and room was "upgraded" to a suite. Was not told before getting into room, suite was over Crush night club. Woken up at 12, 1, and 3 a.m. by drunk people yelling and leaving club. Despite calling front desk, noise continued. View from patio was of the building across the way and patio had a nest with dead bird inside. Not what I booked or expected. Had two previous stays here which were great. This was terrible and I never want to return there.
Spa services and bowling
Nothing Pool area and outdoor seating was completely under construction. No where to sit outside. Paid for a garden view room and looked at the parking lot. Very disappointed with stay. Complained to front desk and had small amount taken off our bill. Dirty and doors ro outside not secure.
We were Marriott rewards members and received very thoughtful care throughout the visit. Large, comfortable, clean room Location is good, but car-dependent. Napa downtown is a 10 min drive.
Concierge was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff always took time to answer questions. Most unique part was the nightly wine tasting from local wineries. It was a great perk for your guests, and also a great opportunity for the local, boutique wineries to display their product. Win/Win/Win Traffic in area was difficult to manuever at times.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, one of the best. Nothing. It was very nice, convenient to the local wineries.
Dyan and my eyebrow attendant (I am so sorry I cannot remember her name) did a wonderful job for me. I am in process of moving to sf (from fl) and am considering having them do my nails, etc on a regular basis. Cleanliness of the room and the deal I received via one of the booking agencies on Trip Advisor. Charge for Valet parking is too high, especially considering I always walked over to my car and did not have the guys 'go get it'.
It's fine. Napa Valley planners prohibit too many hotels being built, so you really don't have much choice and there's no good "deals" anywhere. So, this is on the Southern side of the valley, and acts as a "gateway" hotel. I can tell you it is over-priced, but I guess that is relative. It's just crazy that you can find much, much nicer hotels in The City for half the rate.
Rooms are very clean but a bit tired - the basin in the bathroom was cracked and the extendable clothes line over thre bath was broken. The hallways are even more worn looking and dated but still comfortable place to stay.
Ok for visiting wine country, but rooms facing the busy street should be avoided Location on busy street
My wife and I stayed one night for our anniversary at the Napa Valley Marriott. It left a lot to be desired. We have stayed at various other hotels in the Napa and this one did not even come close. For starters, the walls are paper thin (to the point where you can actually hear people in other rooms blowing their nose). While we were there, two holiday parties were going on. We called the front desk to complain about noise at 11:30pm and were told that they could not do anything since the parties both paid a considerable amount of money to host the events. This hotel puts large gatherings ahead of individual hotel guests and for this reason we will not be back.
very friendly and accommodating staff. Very comfortable beds! walls seem pretty thin. Could hear the vacuum cleaner above us.
Excellent location and amenities. Grounds looked great. Room was well appointed. The hallway carpet could use replacing.
Like a 1950s motel, wonderful beds, nice breakfast. Have stayed here repeatedly over the years. Cheaper through Kayak than direct from them.
I was disappointed with the staff's inexperience and complete unwillingness to help because I booked wth a 3rd party. The receptionist was sarcastic, laughed at me, and had poor customer service.
The location and the value was the reason we chose this hotel. The room was alright. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable which resulted to poor sleep. We left early.
Price and relative location to Napa and the Vinyards Low lighting in the room no safety lock chain or inside latch on the door
nice place to stay. enjoyed our stay . could not access wi-fi in room 7.
You wouldn't expect such a great place by the two stars or exterior but wine valley was great! Awesome rooms that were clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and we were able to comfortable unwell into town. We will definitely stay here again!
I enjoyed my stay there entirely! Unable to think of anything.
Comfortable bed Toilet seat. Was it from a doll house?
For a 2 star hotel, i was shocked to see how nice the rooms are. I normally stay at 3 star and above hotels, but i was trying to save money this time around and i was shocked at how nice the room was! The room was a little small, but all new tv's and the bed was ridiculously comfortable and large! Its not the most romantic place, but if your looking for somewhere to stay, i HIGHLY recompensed this hotel. DIAMOND IN THE RUFF!
Nice room for what we needed. Big enough. Nice bathroom. Decent breakfast selection. Stain on one of the bed sheets. Spider in the bed. Weird knocking noise from bathroom.
I've stayed here before and came back because 1) the price is reasonable compared to other Napa motels 2) the history of the place (think Hollywood) is intriguing) 3) Nice pool and lawn with BBQ 3) Free continental breakfast Free WiFi was weak but usable in my room. It is better in other rooms.
The room was clean, not 6 star, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Also half price of what we would have spent elsewhere. Nothing, we had a nice quiet stay. A clean room, and a central location to what we needed.
Mgr was helpful . He seemed to enjoy talking to the guest at breakfast We ate breakfast toward the end and they were out of a few things
Buffet was good in the morning. Loud banging noise from heater kept us up all night so we couldn't sleep.
Room was clean and beautiful. Beds had feather beds, down comforter, down pillows. Beautiful marble bathroom had robes and and all amenities. Very generous with towels. Breakfast from wonderful bakery next door was included and they pour you a glass of wine on check-in. Rooms had coffee maker, and they deliver water and chocolate later in the day. Walking distance to all of downtown restaurants, etc. Free wifi & parking. It was just perfect. nothing! It couldn't have been a better experience
I like the location of this property and the farmhouse design and vibe. The grounds are beautiful and the set up of cottages is really cool. Beds were quite comfy. Our cottage was poorly located next to the highway. Luckily I turned on the AC and the fan noise drowned most of it out. The cottage had several things that needed attention. Cracked tile, tons of scuffs on the walls, bathroom fixtures hadn't been wiped down and appeared dusty. Like a film of dust on the lotion dispenser is not ok. My husband and I asked to check in early and were not told that the room they had was a room with 2 full beds. We have two young kids and for 900$ a night, one king bed would have been nice. The staff at the check in were less than friendly or accommodating. I had to ask for water and they looked at me like that was a crazy request. A hotel of this caliber should offer water upon arrival especially on 90 degree days. Overall I was disappointed. I wanted so much more from this property and it just wasn't there. I likely won't return.
Location, comfort and cleanliness Nothing. Everything was just fine
Didn't care for the very high price. Way too expensive for a Best Western
We were given a room on the bottom floor right outside the pool and hot tub area. The walls felt like they were paper thin, as we could hear every single noise from outside, as well as the rooms above us. This woke us up several times during the night, and staff were slow to respond. Overall it seemed very overpriced despite the location. Next time, we would be willing to spend a bit more money for more quality and a more comfortable stay.
Staff is excellent.... Friendly and helpful
Clean room and bathroom Front desk lady was a little rude. The furnishings, bathroom space, shower head were average in quality. I have stayed in a Best Western Plus before in Carmel, and it was a really great experience, furnishings were modern, bathroom was impressive. This one in Napa however, is not the "Plus" experience. It's essentially the same quality as a normal Best Western but at "Plus" prices. Also, the view out of our hotel was a wooden fence. We did have a patio, so we could sit outside and stare at the wooden fence. They offered "free" upgrades you could choose via text... but none of them were actually available. If no options are actually available, why offer them? Very strange, would probably not stay again.
I was there during the Napa earthquake - so the best thing was that the bed & breakfast did not collapse and hurt anyone. The thing that I did not like was that the bed & breakfast was damaged so much that we had to cut our stay short and seek other accommodations.
Room jacuzzi nice bed! Quite, Killer stairs to room. Hotel rationed regular coffee for room coffeemaker,
The location and the food were excellent. The bed was too squeaky. Could use more closet space.
we had a great time. very nice people and a very nice b&b. we will visit again no complaints
Extremely rude check in staff who attempted to claim that we did not have a reservation
Great place, bed wascomfy, had a fridge an it was quiet. Super sweet staff also.
We knew it was a motel so weren't expecting too much, but found that the room was quite nice and bed was very comfy. Friendly staff, great location for visiting wineries. Good restaurants close by. Pool and spa area is rather small
Rooms were clean, staff very friendly. Location was perfect . We just needed a place to sleep for the night with out paying a small fortune, Because this is a tourist destination most motel/hotels are very over priced. The Chablis Inn met our needs with out the outrageous prices.
Staff was great No view, near the road, sort loud
comfortable beds. it seemed poorly kept. extremely outdated. leaky faucets. bathtub plumbing was backed up.
We stayed in the one-bedroom suite (74 sqm). Very large and comfortable room. Very well furnished and equipped (washing machine, dish washer, two wash-basin). Lovely jacuzzi at the bedside. Comfortable dining table at the balcony - had a nice breakfast there everyday. Great location for Napa trek Walls are too thin. Noises from upstairs and next door are not insulated at all.
The facility was glorious and beautiful. They even gave us a free upgrade! The cards kept getting de-activated.
The resort was very nice! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Having our own balcony was an added plus. It was in a nice quiet location. We upgraded our room primarily because I knew my husband would enjoy having a fireplace, but there wasn't much of a fire - there were tiny blue flames that could barely be seen around the logs.
big room, free shuttle service to downtown, laundry, free wine tastings coupons, hot free jacuzzi, free bottle of wine somewhere old furniture, very noisy laundry (in the room), always lines on reception, almost everything extra is very expensive
The staff were very friendly. The housekeeping staff were exceptional.
Beautiful surroundings and Hotel very classy. Breakfast buffet low budget, ordered breakfast off menu next day and waited 35 minutes for oatmeal that never came, walked out.
Great hotel! Big end nice room.
The rooms were fabulous! menu in the bar was sub par for a hotel of this caliber
ameneties toiletries were there. We had to call for toiletries such as shampoo, soap.
Amazing spa. Great hotel, huge room and private balcony to enjoy coffee in morning or wine at night. Explore the property you will find many gems. Great location w/free shuttle to downtown napa. Not a single complaint.
I am sure it will be nice when it is done. Help with our bags to our room never arrived, our shower was clogged for days, it was somewhat hard to find.
\coffee on the floor early am. very helpful staff. The small bed
I LOVED our stay at the Candle Light Inn. It is in a nice private location, close to Napa. The breakfast every morning was fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were delightful. Truly a wonderful experience for my wife and I celebrating our anniversary in Napa. There is honestly not to much to critique. I guess if I had to nit-pick I would say the pool had some dirt in it from the surrounding trees. However, it was not enough to keep us from swimming and we weren't there because of the pool anyways.
Beautiful, clean facilities in a quiet neighborhood that is close to - just a short walk, or even shorter cab ride- the nightlife of downtown. While our room was small, it had lovely, tall windows and an amazing Jacuzzi-style bathtub (complete with jets!). We were only there for one night and didn't get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but those looked great. The staff was personable, and not intrusive at all. We were greeted on arrival, and there were complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres waiting in the dining room. Like everything in Napa, it's fairly expensive for comparable quality in other locales. But I prefer to stay in hotels with personality rather than do the resort thing, and the White House definitely has that.
Great location within walking distance of downtown Napa, the Wine Train, etc. Room furnishings are oddly cheap and modern, not in keeping with the era of the home. Hopefully the 2015 renovations will rectify this.
