Stayed here before, it's ok, not a five star hotel, but it's good enough. Location is nice, it's downtown, close to food and shopping. Can get a bit noisy with the traffic. Parking is not ideal, too small, not enough spaces.
Newer shower, flat screens, still some old charm. If they stick you in the 300 building, it shares a parking lot with a Mexican restaurant who's dumpster's are in the alley right behind you. On the night we stayed, the trash company came to pick them up and drop them a few times starting at 5am. Would've been nice to have been told that this might have been a possibility instead of being jolted like there was a battering ram coming through the wall. You can hear big rigs moving through the area all night.
Hotel was comfortable, staff was friendly, only a little road noise to complain about but nothing a fan couldn't drown out.
clean, easy room a little noisy
Beds were pretty comfortable They didn't tell me at check in when breakfast was
I had stayed here a few years ago - did a search on the internet and this hotel showed up as a great rate. We arrived a little late for the evening activities. Very comfortable room - loved the pillows. The morning breakfast was very good and a nice touch be be served. I would stay here again. Next time I would request a room on the top floor as some people were up very early and bouncing around above us.
Excellent customer service. Front desk folks were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good, not the typical muffins and juice. Overall an exceptional place to stay for business trip.
For my needs, being in a city-central location was a necessity. Our room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was presented well with all of the food kept fresh. The eggs were excellent and the sausage and bacon done perfectly. Very happy with the value.
Location, the bartender was pleasant. Garbage truck arrived to dump at 4:30am and dumped on both sides of the hotel. The breakfast crew was less than helpful, I used to enjoy the option of cooked to order eggs, not a single person was offered anything.
This hotel had what we were looking for and more!
Great location close to facilities with a decent breakfast and evening happy hour included, and they are very pet friendly.
Having the restraunt on site. We got in late and didn't have to leave to eat. Also was great food. Bathroom grout around and in tub was filthy. Carpet haf stains. Room service knocked on the door at 9am even with a do not disturb sign.
Staff went out of their way to help with several problems I had.
It was clean and the hotel bar had a good atmosphere and drinks. Bed was comfortable and a nice large tv. The water pressure was virtually non existent and the hotel floor and my room smelled like cigarettes. The water pressure makes sense however due to the drought in California.
Breakfast was included and very good. Clean room. Very friendly staff. Someone was trying to get into our room at midnight. I was told a downstairs room but given an upstairs one. Lots of walking to get to the room.
Our room was clean, updated, and the staff was nice. However, both my husband and I had a very hard time sleeping at night due to the mattress. I wouldnt say that we have a very good matress at home either, but the mattress at the hotel was painful!
The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing! We had a terrible time with the booking site & the front desk staff were helpful, supportive, & really accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff there were also amazing. We really enjoyed the pool and our clean and comfortable room.
The bathroom seemed newly renovated and looked nice. They also furnished a unique set of soap/shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/lotion. Comforting front lobby. Complimentary bottle of spring water in the room also. Our room smelled exactly like my grandmother's house and had a similar old-fashioned appearance. In-room coffee cups were not clean. Pool was open in February, but needed some leaves/debree cleaned out.
The room was clean and comfortable. The heat and cooling was adjustable in the room! The food in the restaurant was very good. The pool area and surrounding area was clean, safe, and beautiful. I would stay there again and I recommend it to others visiting the area. Oh, there is a little patio area outside each room accessible by a room sliding door with a protected lock. I can't think of any.
beds were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Pool, spa, gym all great Price was a little high when booking thru the hotel, but kayak got us an excellent deal. Water pressure was lacking
NOTHING Don't believe the photos posted by hotel. Rooms are outdated, unclean. Its not a hotel, forget about 3 stars. It can be considered a cheap MOTEL with 0 stars. We were checked in to a room that has broken safety lock. When we reported it to front desk(Christina), they seem to already knew this and told there are no other rooms to swap. They promised to fix it the next day, but they didn't. Calling housekeeping goes to voice message and no response after that. No room service, nobody will attend your phone call for anything. Sticky carpets with stains, old unclean curtains, broken bathroom doors. No extra towels in bathroom. STAY OUT OF THIS MOTEL.
Proximity to I5 & Pool for kids. Security is a joke. Even with lights and a security guard, your stuff in your car is not safe. Security Guard watched a guy steel my bike. (he actually told me this). Staff was going to call us back to follow up - never heard a thing. Beds worn out big time and not enough towels for a family of 4 - booked for 4, got 3 towels - left numerous messages to get more towels, but never got a thing. Very very disappointing
Nice TV, comfortable bed. Wakened by house cleaning at 8:00 am.
We paid a few extra dollars for our dog, we stayed in a huge room equipped w/a small kitchen. Fresh smelling, lots of clean towels, many soft pillows and very comfortable beds. Parking available right outside our unit. Nothing comes to mind?
The beds were comfy and the rooms were nice for the price. Also the breakfast at Lumberjacks was delicious. The grout in the bathroom was really dirty and parking isn't great.
Great friendly staff.
Friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom. Nice towels.
Bed and pillows were really comfortable
Clean and courteous staff
Large room Rooms a little outdated
Clean, friendly staff, delicious breakfast with a good variety. I had to re-login to the internet each day; it's not a huge deal, but slightly inconvenient.
Room was ready when we got there and it was clean. Internet worked and so did the cable. The continental breakfast could have been a little more continental. The lady who checked us in was rude and really slow. I waited in line over 30 min with one person in front of me who had already checked in.
It was close to the freeway, free parking. As soon as I walked into my room, I noticed what appeared to be dried vomit on the bed skirt of the bed with a large stain underneath it. I contacted the front desk, who changed my room for another. The tv in the new room did not work, so a technician had to come up and fix it. There was hair in the bathroom and black stains on the doors and walls. I wouldn't recommend families to stay there as the hallways smelled of burnt cannabis on Friday and Saturday nights.
Bed comfortable Clean Friendly staff No fridge No microwave
Very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. N/A
Proximity to freeway. Restaurant next door. Bed uncomfortable.
New carpet comfortable firm bed HBO. refrigerator. Clean remote control breakfast selections The hallway was narrow and difficult to maneuver the luggage trolley
Value, close to sight seeing , access Showers, missing dustbins, smell
Nice location right on the 5, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice television and shower overall everything was pretty good. We left a watch in our room and the staff put it in lost and found and we picked it up 5 days later on our way home! Very trustworthy staff
Staff were nice. The room was old dated and stinky. It had some horrible chemical smell. The smell pretty much tainted the whole stay. Overall this should not be a best western (plus).
Space dedicated for smoking under our window. Pool is too small.
The bed was comfortable Right off the I-5 The room was HOT, and HUMID, and smelled like a wet dog. I had to change rooms twice to find one that wasnt hotter than outside. The shower/tub was so loud I felt like I would wake the entire floor. like a really squeaky floor. I thought I was upgrading the room so I would of had something the other rooms did not. Nope just got charged more. Hi-speed internet? I think it was as slow as it possibly could be. I had to go to Starbucks to connect, it was too slow in the room.
Good breakfast, proximity to freeway, easy booking Room smelled. Toilet took a couple of flushes to start working
Not much. Room was not air conditioned prior to arrival on a 100 degree day. It took sometime to remove humidity and cool the room. This was the worst Best Western I have ever stayed in. Very dingy. It would have been okay for $60 a night, but not 100 plus tax.
LOVED staying here! My friend and I were on a roadtrip from Santa Cruz to Ashland, Oregon and just needed a place to rest for one night. We thought the beds were incredibly comfortable, breakfast was decent, and the room was clean and quiet. The elevator was really slow and hot, but honestly that's my only complaint. It was 107 when we were passing through but you never would have known it inside the room. Well worth the $100 to me! I would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay on a long road trip. Slow elevator, weak fan in the shower
bright lobby ADA accessible room, though spacious, had no place to place toiletries in the bathroom at the sink
good restaurants within 10 minutes. While we did have a nice visit to Lake Shasta we did find the pool to be the size of a postage stamp. We also discovered that our friends that went with us pait $20 a night less than we did. They booked direct and we used Kayak. :(
Convenient location on i5
nice place, guiet and great feel to it. Mattress, it was said to be adjustable but didn't seem to be. The fridge never got cold and had to get ice to keep wife's insulin cold.
-Very clean -Refrigerator had separate freezer compartment -Pool was clean and stayed open until 11 pm -Walls seemed fairly sound proof, but doors were not. I could hear our very loud neighbors while walking in the hall, but I couldn't hear them once in the room. -Complimentary breakfast ends at 9 am and they were quick to remove food. A later end time would have been preferred. -It's pet friendly, so you could hear dogs barking early in the morning. -Location seems a bit remote
Front staff was nice. Bed was comfortable. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! First, the lobby had a weird smell. The staff had to change our room # two times. The first room didnthave a TV that worked and a/c was broken. The second room door keylock was broken and we couldnt even get in. The third room only got one channel on the tv and wifi didnt work but the room was clean so we just stayed. the hotel is not secure. all side doors are unlocked from 6 am to 11pm. The pool area is filthy and not secure. Homeless woman was "getting cooled off". The pool itself was filthy. The hottub was in a small room and the screens in the room were missing so if you open the windows bugs come in. The hottub water was green and literally smelled like pond water! Obviously we didnt go in. The free breakfast was cold cereal. One bruised apple was in the fruit basket. I wish I could say I was exagerating but I am not. Dont stay here!!!!
Very up to date rooms. Very clean. Comfortable beds with 4 large fluffy pillows per bed! Stay in an end room next to exit that was supposed to be locked at 11 pm and it was not. Around midnight a group of people showed up and we're very very loud.
This hotel appears to be recently remodeled. Our room was very clean and nice. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. There is a fridge, microwave in the room which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful giving me locations of local places to eat. The breakfast was very fresh, lots of good fruit and delicious waffles. My 3 year old loved it. There is a new looking camera security system so I felt very safe when I arrived alone with my little girl. They could probably add more towels if that's even a complaint? They only give 2 per room...
Good value, clean hotel Traffic noise
Upon check-in we were recommended the renovated rooms by the person working the front desk, though the rooms seem to be only up on the second floor for now. Only downside was there is no elevator so we had to haul our luggage up the flight of stairs. The room we stayed at looked nice and I liked the decor, though there is no carpet on the floor but what looked like laminate. The pool was nice and clean when we used it. The breakfast was ok. No hot food besides make-your-own waffles. The lady up front one breakfast though offered to fill up the waffle batter for a guest 10 minutes before breakfast was scheduled to end so that was shockingly nice to see! The major discomfort we had was hearing the doors slamming shut, especially during the early morning and night. It was annoying to hear the click-clack over and over again. The doors or walls must be thin. Plus, the carpets in the hallway look like they haven't been cleaned in a while.
Cheap and where I needed to stay overnight. The most ridiculous process to check in, took forever. They charge for WIFI. No shampoo just bar soap. Tiny bathroom, hot water kept going cold after a few minutes of showering. No lock on bathroom door. Lots of stupid little stuff, seems clear Motel 6 is cutting corners, I will definitely just stay at one of the other MANY options in price range that provide WIFI, breakfast, and take pride in their property.
Easy access to the freeway, restaurants, and shopping sites. When the water was turned on in the bathtub before turning on the shower, it was extremely noisy, sounded like a jack hammer breaking concrete. Thin walls, could hear conversations and tv from adjoining room.,
The sheets on the bed were disgusting.. They were dirty and after driving 9 hours and getting there at 2 am my wife and I had to sleep on one bed with our kids.. All they did at the desk was was say sorry.
I use this motel often. Great service and pet friendly
Clean, inexpensive and comfortable The front desk staff member who was assisting guests that night was completely incompetent. I had never seen a line for checkin at 11:30pm until I came to this motel. It took ~1hour to get checked in to the hotel.
It has what you need to crash for the night. Nothing special but has the necessities to get you through the night, and HBO. Signs every 15 feet saying not responsible for your car getting broken into. Also there were not one but two spiders in my room.
It was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price. This is good place to crash by the roadside but not anything fancy. Missing lots of basics in the room like extra pillow/blanket or box of tissues. But the price was good despite that.
Modern room updates; nice pool. Very outdated pay for internet access...just add it to the room charge as a pseudo tax. Not every room has refrigerator and microwave; no amenities like coffee maker, shampoo. Staff and web site make no mention of differences in rooms except for size of beds.
Easy access to the freeway.
Comfortable bed at an affordable price. Stayed 10 days so far, looking for a place to rent. No fridge, microwave and have to pay for wi-fi.
Location No iron and ironing board is a deal breaker. Was attending a funeral next day and needed to press my clothes. The staff's attitude was not helpful
Larger room with half wall divider Would have liked the option for pull away bed
Location is so perfect, 15 min drive to shasta dam, whiskeytown at shasta lake for water sports. An hour drive to Mt shasta, Burney falls and Lassen National forest. A perfect and clean place to stay at if you are planning on nice visit for family.
The rooms and the staff were awesome. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the low quality of breakfast. The eggs, bacon and sausage were disgusting. They were constantly out of fruit.
The hotel was fairly new. The breakfast was well stocked. The graveyard hotel desk clerk was very rude. The other employees were very nice. The room was located on the freeway side, which is quite noisy (I-5). The hotel did not appear to be full, but we received the freeway side anyway.

Brand new ... Nice place Breakfast average
Too crowded during breakfast. Needs needs to be real eggs. Bacon was too salty.
New hotel Sink drained extremely slow.

Location, friendly staff, great continental breakfast that has hot food, clean rooms and great price.

Nice and helpful staff, laundry and pool Breakfast was ok, not great. Over cooked eggs
very clean room, fabulous breakfast, great value for the money
It was clean and the breakfast was good. The rooms open to the outside. It needs updating. The rooms were dark.
It is located in an area with many restaurants. They have their own restaurant and bar which was quite good. Many gas stations to fill up before hitting the road again. Nice size room and very clean with coffee provided. The buffet breakfast was quite good.
The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The carpet was fairly clean which is a big deal to me. The pool and hot tub are great. Breakfast was mediocre. It looks like it used to be a dumpy motel then someone bought it and slapped a very nice face on it and made it so you couldn't see the setup of the property. It's seriously tacky. The price was a joke for what you get and for the property. The coffee maker was something that was trying to be a Keurig and failed miserably.
I was very impressed by the fact that they have charging for both standard electric car charging but also two Tesla car charging stations. Strangely they do not advertise this fact in any of their amenities and I discovered this fact quite by accident. Had I known I would have chosen this hotel on a number of earlier trips through Redding which by the way has very few charging stations. I have passed up this property in the past due to price however now I know I can charge my gas electric car overnight, I will prefer this hotel. I hope you do as well.
Hotel is new. It was clean, and the room was more spacious than depicted on the website. Good for even an overnight hotel stay. It wasn't noisy and you get better entertainment than at a regular hotel. I was impressed and would stay again. Location isn't that great.
It was so nice that it was smoke free. The pool and spa were very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Affordable price.
the room was not the same pictured on kayak
Do not take your family here! Bad part of town, dirty, sketchy staff and other customers, and just dirty. You get what you pay for on this one!
It was very easy to check in. The front desk staff was very friendly/ The cleanliness of the bathroom in the room was horrible. The toilet was left clogged for the entire time we were there, even with the cleaning staff coming into the room. The shower head was covered in mold. Breakfast was very slim pickings.
Good location Tweakers hanging out in the parking lot. Room needed a Good cleaning or complete makeover. A/c unit was not consistent with temperatures. Coffee maker was not washed out. Bed sheets were soiled and comforter had a cigarette burn it and it was a non-smoking room.
Big rooms They provide a mediocre breakfast on weekdays and failed to tell us that at booking or check-in. We couldn't even get them to give us butter for the toast.
There was no ice bucket in the room. Pillows are very full and too firm.
It was good for a one night stay. Parking-we had to park on the street because guests with boats took up 8 stalls.
It was easy to get to from the freeway. It was not very clean, the indoor pool was cold, you only got 3 little towels for your room and the pool, the lady at.the front desk was snappy because we interrupted her bathroom break, and it overall just wasn't inviting. If you need a place to sleep it works, but don't expect more.
New, clean. Kitchenette provides a homey touch. Definitely exceeded star rating. No. Hotel exceeded my expectations. I know there are star limits because there is no onsite Resturant, but I still view this property as a 3 star minimum.
It was SO CLEAN and everyone was very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of towels and the breakfast was good. The bed was uncomfortable.
New,Clean,Price - 3 stars Location,,turn on your GPS
We had a King Studio. It was comfortable and clean. There was a small kitchenette that, if we were staying longer, would have come in very handy. We are very happy with our stay and would definitely go back.
The room was very nice and it was great to have a full (small) kitchen, desk workspace, large closet, etc. Nice, central location in Redding. Free (included) breakfast was really nice too. Staff was very courteous. Pool and laundry room too! The room had a diswasher in the small kitchen, but it was full of dirty dishes. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk, she was very apologetic and said she'd tell housekeeping. Housekeepping needs to be on top of that.
breakfast pull out bed, location of TV

Funky layout of the room - different; kinda nice. Breakfast was spectacularly uninspiring....
Room with kitchen, included breakfast, friendly and helpfull staff, very clean. N/A
Indoor pool Not enough sleeping blankets
Good beds. Clean room. Pool and hot tub. Nice staff.Quiet location. It was a good location for me. Broken stuff. Jets not working in hot tub, no fan in bathroom, so you got some mold there high up. Bathroom light out by the pool. Just small stuff.
The indoor pool and hot tub were great after a long day of driving in December when it was too dark to play outside. And the included breakfast made it a great value. The breakfast included waffle makers, cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and other things too. The management seemed to just barely be keeping it together though this was more of an impression than a hard opinion. For example we had to wait a while to check in because the one manager on duty was busy helping another guest with a tv. And they mentioned that they were having trouble with a few different exterior entrance doors.
I loved the location, very conveniently located. Clean! And the staff was great. They texted me a message letting me know when my room would be ready, this was a first for me. I'd never received any proactive communication from a hotel via text. My only issue was, I asked for a quiet room and I was next door to a family with soccer children, there most have been a tournament in town, cause there were alot of little guys at breakfast. So a few times during the night I could hear mom trying to quiet the kids down. Not a big deal, it all was quiet before midnight.
The staff was extremely nice and professional. We checked in at 10:00 pm after a 8 hour drive and we were very tired. The staff greeted us with a smile and we're very helpful. Service always covers (would be inperfections )to a hotel. The rooms were clean and very well maintained. I would stay here again.
Smelled like old smelly socks and marijuana
We've stayed here many times on our trips between Oregon and California. It's a half-way point for us. This time we were pleasantly surprised by the remodel! I think we were the first to stay in our completely remodeled room. I still wish they would put coffee makers in the rooms.
No food you have to drive 10 minutes
