The staff was extremely friendly and professional. I am regularly at Hilton hotels, but I was really struck by the friendliness of the staff.
Nice hotel, good parking and connections, close to center. Some noise from road work, but nothing that the hotel could do about...
The hotel is very close to the city centre and only 36 miles from the Nurburgring
Well run and comfortable hotel The proce was a little high but this may reflect the fact that the hotel was full.
Staff where very curtious, rooms where clean and the location was perfect.
the facillities no
very efficient and friendly staff overall, empathy for guest, swift service
Staff were very good and attentive to all details. All instructions were in German--how to arrange for a wake up call; the directions on the coffee machine in my room. I cannot read German. Staff were always polite and helpful, but some of these I could have done easily for myself. I also wish that there had been a small sundries store for magazines, water, and other small things to purchase.
The reception staff were always pleasant and helpful. The room was basic but very nice and clean. Small things like extractor fan in shower room not working. Ice machine provided but not working.
I loved the location on the rhine. My room was not made for my second night stay since they did not complete the room by 3:30 when I came back to my room and after that I went out at about 4:30 and I suppose it was too late for housekeeping - so my bed wasn't made, my towels were changed etc.
Location - on the river, and very close to hotel One of our party for dinner did not receive what they ordered, but the staff made us feel it was our fault and could have been more gracious and customer focused. This was the only bad experience with the hotel staff, otherwise they were excellent.
It was excellent throughout. The breakfast on the terrace is an ideal way to start the day. It was one of my best hotel experiences ever.
The service at the hotel is first class. Excellent breakfast options and outstanding restaurant. The views from the breakfast/ restaurant terrace is unbelievable. Well located to get to the city or public transport. The room I was given was extremely small and overlooking the driveway. A problem if you have a long stay like I did of two weeks.
The breakfast was really good (as all breakfasts in Germany), the room was clean and modern The hotel is situated on the Rein river and not far from center, but to reach it in the evening is rather dangerous and scary, as there is park, where are no people and lights. There is no free wi-fi in rooms, in the lobby there is a computer but you need to give the receptionist your credit card or passport to use this computer maximum for one hour. The hotel has restaurant but it is always booked, so if you are staying at the hotel, it's not possible to have a lunch or dinner there, the receptionist woman recommended to go to another restaurant about 20-25 minutes away and didn't mention that there is a room food service.... The windows face either the park or river and it's very noisy outside: songs, loud music...
Great location; quiet and comfortable, and just a few minutes from the city centre. Staff helpful and pleasant.
Very peaceful with views of the river Rhine. Good food in restaurant.
Excellent ,friendly service
Spaciousness of the room and the interior decoration - fantastic The structural noise - you could not help but hear everything, and there was a constant rumbrling noise. In the morning this was accompanied by a consistent knocking noise. Despite this the experience was fantastic - my wife shares the same opinion
The friendly and efficient staff...and the breakfasts!!
Cleanliness and position of hotel; kindness of hotel staff
Friendly staff, nice room, great breakfast, perfect location in Bonn.
Very nice city, most attractive hotel with an interesting past, excellent helpful staff. Outside the window there was a noise of glass recycling being moved early on Saturday morning - but only slight.
Old hotel right in the centre of Bonn, but renovated rooms which in the end make it pretty anodine. Decent, with decent service, but far too expensive.
The breakfast is really nice, fresh and rich. Location, completely in pedestrian centre of Bonn is great. I did not like the single bed, it is too small. Generally beds are too hard. ( I tried a single and a twin room). The room 208 has a very weird architecture. The shower is located directly in the entrance and the tub in the room.... The room has been renovated recently though.
The location was fantastic and the rooms were very nice. The breakfast was a great spread of fruits, eggs, breads and cereals. My one complaint is they gave one login for the wifi so I could only connect one device and it was pretty slow. You could spend more for the premium wifi.
services, staff, comfort none
Great location, the hotel is old but classy in its own way. The staff was exelent.
The location is perfect, staff are very friendly and breakfast quite abundant! Maybe the price is a bit too high, but the service is great
Location Lack of ironing facilities
The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help out with our bicycles The outside didn't look too good so we were surprised by how nice the hotel was. It wasn't in the best area so if I had been travelling alone I might not have wanted to wander around after dark.
The staff was great especially helping out someone who doesn't speak any German. The breakfast was wonderful, the breakfast room in particular was nicer than many more famous hotels I've stayed in. It would be nice to have known there was not shampoo and soap for the shower. I did have bodywash but no shampoo. However, the staff did help me find a local store where I could purchase some.
the organisation, nice and welcoming staff, super clean room
very good value for the price, staff is friendly, hotel is very clean and close to the city centre. breakfast were suprisingly rich for a 2 star hotel. it is on a little noisy street, but you probably can´t avoid that in the centre.
The hotel was very conveniently situated. The room was fine and the breakfast was good.
The ospitality is the strength of this hotel: the staff was very nice, in the breakfast you could choose everything you want among a very great number of things, and the cleaning service was perfect. It was a to expensive for the stars of the hotel
The quality of service and quick response by staff Language barrier among front office staff
et dejligt, afslappet og venligt hotel.
Central beliggenhed. Klar information om hvor der er parkeringsmulighed i nærheden af hotellet
Location really in city centre; Breakfast; Friendly and flexible staff.
staff is helpful, location is very convinient it does not have an internet service. it is very inconvinient to stay if on business trup. the only thing you can do is get connected via telcom and charge is 8 Euros per hour. Just appaulling! they advertise airport transfer as part of the service but then, they refused because there was nobody else going to the airport at that time.
Hotel staffs are very polite and their willingness to give assistance when requested.
1. Breakfast service was good 2. Checkin and checkout was quick and prompt 1. I asked for internet but not available at that point of time 2. Room size was too small and not all facilities were available in the room like refregerator 3. Bathroom was too small, not a place to sit in the toilet .. shower place was too small to take a bath.. Toothbrush, toothpaste, cream, gel etc was not there in the bathroom. 4. Room was too smelly not able to slept properly.
The location is good, very near to a trem stop. The staff are nice. Breakfast is simple but just ok. If there is a trem passing in from of the hotel in the morning or in the late night, it is noisy.
I got a large room with three beds, it was confortable and clean no internet connection available
It is near the Rine river, then you easily have access to it by walking. You can also enjoy a persian resturant beside the hotel.
very kind staffs, great location, clean room, yummy breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff; great location in the city centre; very little street noise at night; clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms; nice breakfast; fridge with cold drinks in the lobby. Only one little thing: there was a continuous "whistling" or "peeping" noise coming from the toilet next to our room. This was hardly a problem during the daytime, but was rather annoying at night... (Note to the owners: it might be good to try and fix this... Our room was 3.2, the noise came from the shared toilet on the same floor.)
They are friendly, and in a central location (the hotel itself isn't terribly picturesque, but is v. close to the Hofgarten park and the Rhine, which are). Only the bathroom let the product down (see below). The bathroom in our room was not in good order (broken door handle, door did not shut properly!). Noise also seemed to pass pretty easily between rooms. Minibar empty.
This was a charming story book hotel It had an "Old World" decor and atmosphere. There was a lot of attention to detail which gave it a personalized touch. The rooms were large as was the bathroom attached They were sunny and pristine. Breakfast looked wonderful but I had to leave before service because of my flight time. In the review the hotel sounded locked away in a hill however it was a half block from the tram however it was in a "isolated" area Walking down the isolated street and unlocking myself into the hotel made me make sure I returned before dark. If I had not been alone I probably would have been less cautious. There were no immediate attractions in the area eventhough I walked about to find However you can get back into Bonn in 20 minutes on the tram
Location, location, location. Our room, on the top floor (1 flight above lift access) was quite roomy, with every basic necessity. Generally basic, but comfortable nonetheless. The main drawbacks would be noise and I imagine, at certain times, lack of a/C. The noise problem is overcome by closing windows, but that eliminates ventilation. During our stay, though (early October), we were still comfortable overnight.
The staff were extremely friendly with a great hotel location - very central
The breakfast was very nice, and the rooms are cozy. The location is great too. The wireless kept kicking me off and I would have to re-enter the password every 5 minutes.
Very pleasant room and en suite bathroom. Good pressure in shower, and warm water always available. Good wardrobe space and shelves. Comfortable bed. Very nice buffet breakfast with a good choice of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals etc. Pleasant staff. The location is excellent - literally one minute from the main square on one side and the university on the other. Ideal for business in the university. The hotel was sometimes too warm (for my liking), requiring me to keep the window open. However, although the street outside is fairly quiet, the traffic noise can wake you up from around 5.00am if the window is open. The simple solution is to close the window if you want to go back to sleep, so it is a minor problem.
I had a shared shower and toilet, but I had the impression that I was the only one using it on my floor of about 5 rooms. The room was quiet: I didn't hear much noise from other hotel guests, the elevator or the street. (I was on the second floor, street side). The staff is very friendly and helpful. A "do not disturb" sign would be nice. I didn't hear the cleaning lady's knock on my door, which was a bit embarrasing for the both of us. Also, breakfast during the weekends isn't until 8 am, so I missed one breakfast because of an early meeting. And the wireless internet is from a T-mobile hotspot, which is 8 euro for an hour according to the portal. It is a very small hotel, so don't check out the very last minute before your train leaves, because in the morning, the receptionist also has to take care of the breakfast for the guests.
Although the entrance is almost too small to notice, the hotel has very comfortable rooms and is right in the middle of the town. Parking is very nearby in the Underground park, but exiting in a completely different part of the town's one way system, which caused us problems. It was quiet though central. Not the hotel's fault but the one way system and pedestrianised centre of town made it very difficult to find one's way round, especially on a very short stay.
