Great location. Beautiful hotel
Location was wonderful, room was clean Hotel was dated. Too expensive for what we got. Upon return to our room we discovered our AC was not working. Front desk sent up a tech but he couldn't fix it. So they gave us a fan.... No one from mgmt contacted me and no apologies. Just nothing. I paid less for my room at the beautiful La Cantera the night before.
My room was very nice and had everything I needed for the week. I had a fully size fridge, microwave two desks and a separate room. It was nice to walk outside the hotel and be directly on the Riverwalk with great restaurants like Macy's, Ritas on the River and Iron Cactus just a few steps away. In the evening the hotel offers three free adult beverages with "snacks" but it could easily be a meal. We had chicken strips, salad, pasta and a baked potato available most evenings. The Air Force sends me here for training once a year and I look forward to staying at the Drury Plaza., My dresser was difficult to close, but it didn't bother me enough to report it until I checked out. No other complaints at all.
Enjoyed the kickback and proximity to riverwalk. they charged my card $482 dollars for parking when it was only supposed to be $46. Took them a week to refund the money and then they still charged me for the parking!! What a joke! Where is the coustomer service?
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Train noise in the early morning hours outside the hotel and noisy visitors next door and down the hall.
I didn't like that when checking in they ask for my credit card again after I had already paid $857 online. Not knowing that valet was not included they kept trying to swipe different amounts to charge and blocked my card for suspicious faudulent charges. Terrible communication cuz they could've asked me what card I wanted to use, nothing. Also valet customer service was horrible while my sister was arriving in her vehicle with my nephews she asked for help carrying her luggage off and was ignored by valet. He could've called someone for help, but definitely not worth the money, never again
We stayed river side and enjoyed the balcony view and relaxation. All employees were extremely kind and considerate! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Parking was too expensive.
No free wifi
I like the over all feel for the hotel. The size of the room. But looked at the other rooms and i guess for a bit more you gst more space.
The Menger is very historic and literally right across the street from the Alamo. There are lots of things to do that are within easy walking distance that give you the San Antonio experience. The historic nature alone is worth the stay. We didn't get a room in the old, original, historic section. Our room was outdated and in need of renovation.
We enjoyed everything about our stay. The hotel is beautiful, and our room was wonderful. The service was great, and overall the hotel met all of my expectations.
The room was over priced . The a/c didn't work well in the room. The hotel charge me $75 each day without telling me for incidentals , that I didn't even use . I won't be back
Valet, Joe, was very helpful and friendly.
the location 1. the 25usd/day for parking 2. the parking fee announced upon check out only 3. the not very pet-friendly 4. the state of the room
Clean, decor it No complimentary breakfast?
The bathroom looked old was dingy I felt like I was going to fall through the tub. The pictures look a lot better than the actual room. There was a strange smell in the room. I requested a river view and I would not classify that room as a river view room. I would not stay at this hotel again
By far the best hotel and spa in San Antonio. Extremely polite and helpful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff The jack hammering and the broken elevator were a pain. The hotel lobby was under construction. Our view was of a boarded up building and a bank parking garage.
this hotel had an air of comfort, cleanliness, and fun! We absolutely loved it . Location was the best ever!
I liked the distance we had because we could walk to the mall,riverwalk,resturants.ect.And if we was to go back we would maybe stay there again. the only thing I didnt like was that the first night we got there the valet we had was that our vehicle had been parked in a pretty dark place and unsecured we were worried that someone could break in our vehiclewhere it was parked the first night but then our soulution was fixed .then when we got back to our room after we got back at almost 12:00 midnight we had to change rooms because our room stunk and the floor by the a/c was soaked we got some belongings wet our shoes and my sons laptop case got soaked. But they droped our parking fee.
I liked how close it was to the river walk and the scenery was marvelous! I didn't like that the door was so close to the toilet.
Location was only good thing Front desk staff - mainly evening time not helpful at all . Seemed to not care. No parking on site for free as advertised
Location is close to everything
Housekeeping had used a horrible amount of deodorizer. Staff was large dismissive of my dissatisfaction.
