Free parking and shuttle service were very pleasant surprises based on previous stays in San Antonio. Loooong walk to our room
Close to downtown Internet connection was terrible. Mold coming out of our AC. No ice machine on our floor. Carpets were dirty. Bed was not so comfy.

The price was right. The place was worn and old, the facilities need a considerable upgrade. Also, the site, though near the Riverwalk, isn't as close as it seems from the description, and is in a bit of an industrial neighborhood. The hotel was also understaffed, and there were long wait times for any service at the front desk, especially close to checkout time.

Got there about 11 am. Had a nice clean room ready for use. Staff was friendly. Had a free shuttle to take use to the river walk so we were save in an area we did not know. Not thing. Everything was great
Bed&linens were very clean and comfy. 4 pillows per bed! The staff was friendly from the front desk, to restaurant, to the maintenance guy who brought us pool towels. I was traveling my myself but had a couple friends visit to use the pool and it was great. Lots of families, but quiet rooms can't hear other guests Hot tub bubbles were broken.
Clean, friendly. I was happy with our stay. There wasn't any continental breakfast available...
I thought the location would have been closer to the river walk
I thought that the facility was clean and comfortable. Staff that we encountered were all pleasant. We visited during remodeling so check-in was a bit odd. I also thought the shuttle service was a bit weak. There are so many places to travel in San Antonio that market square seems like an irrelevant spot to travel too being that it is only 2 blocks away.
Fairly convenient location, within a short walk of market Square, slightly longer walk from Alamo. Heavily stained carpet, hair in bathtub, dirty toilet, peeling wallpaper. Needs updating and throrough cleaning.
The staff was nice except for housekeeping. The location was nice. Parking was good. Housekeeping staff were rude. The pool was dirty, the rooms are poorly ventilated. Woke up and everything in the room was damp. The carpets in the room were nasty and stained. The staff started vacuuming the hallways at 9:30 at night while my kids were sleeping. The kiddy pool tile was crumbling.
It was out of the way across the freeway from downtown. It was lose to the courthouse and fire station, so we knew every time they left for an emergency. The facility was nice, just location wasn't good.
Very comfortable beds! We had to pay $15 for parking, which was fine. But when we returned to our hotel for the night there was no parking available. The garage was full of cars that had no parking tags. We complained and they ended up refunding our $15 fee.
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. The shuttle service makes it easy to major destinations. Location is not the best, but the free shuttle service compensates for location.
Comfort! The beds and pillows were heaven I was given the wrong room number which another family was in at the time
The air conditioning was very loud.
Rooms weren't ready
They allowed us to check in 3 hrs early, and they didn't charge us the early check in fee. The Air conditioner was super loud and it made it very hard for me to sleep. Also the beds were double beds not queen, I'm used to sleeping in a king and going to a double made it very hard. I'm not sure why hotels are making there rooms with 2 beds double beds.
The only thing we truly liked was the "contagious, frank and sweet smile of the staff lady who clean room 622 for us. Her attitude, her generosity, but most of all, her professionalism outstanding " We truly believe that the Hilton Corporation should send the managers and front desk personnel to the same training program where the maintenance personnel goes and hopefully they will learn at least a bit of common curtesy. The lack of curtesy, honesty and professionalism from the front desk. Management is nonexistent at the hotel there. Incapable of solving problems; what we got was a lot of excuses. We stayed at room 418 on 05-28-2016. People in room 419 had the tv at full volume; after several requests and trips to the front desk, we finally convinced the front desk to move us to a different room; we were moved to room 622 ; the air conditioning system in this room is extremely noisy. Needles to say we were not able to sleep at all that night. We checked out the next day and refund for one night is being processed. We strongly believe that we should get a refund for the night of the 28. We had stayed at the Double Trees in Houston and Dallas, but sadly the one in San Antonio is horrible; even the cookies are not the same quality as the ones in the other hotels. Jose Minas

Every employee that I met was very helpful and friendly. They always said hello and asked if I needed anything. The shuttle service to the area attractions was a nice bonus. (One of the shuttles could stand to have the interior repaired). Our room smelled bad. I realized the odor was coming from the bathroom. Everything was clean and well stocked but there was a bad odor. It was wet musty old smell. So maybe just the age of the building-not really sure but I did dread going to the bathroom.

Great location to market square had lots of fun! 15 min walk to Riverwalk. Beds are so comfortable but sucks that I didn't book an extra room we were over crowded. Restrooms too small. Breakfast ends at 9:30am why not at least 11am.
Location. Staff was understanding. The security guard suggested I request another room when I told him it was dirty. The room was dirty. There was hair on the sink area and countertop and feces in the toilet. Since I arrived at approx. 2:00 AM, I just wiped it down with Clorox wipes. I told the security guard that the room was dirty and he suggested I request another room. The second room was also dirty so I opted to stay in the first room that I had already wiped down with Clorox wipes.The bathtubs in both rooms were flaking off in the inside, deteriorating and needed to be replaced. The hotel has gone downhill since my first stay in 2006.

Clean, spacious rooms. No bathroom counter space. Coffee maker out of reach. Noisy A/C. Sausage and eggs at breakfast not good. Limited convenient parking spaces.
Only a few blocks away from the Alamo, Riverwalk and restaurants. The room has a fridge, wifi and parking was only $10/day. Other downtown hotels did not include these items and parking was much higher. Hotel was staff and very friendly and gave great suggestions. We stayed at a 5 star hotel in Austin and it was very noisy and only had 15 tv stations but this hotel had 50! Highly recommend if you are on a budget and don't mind walking a couple extra blocks to getting to the main tourist attractions! Hiring a couple of more front desk staff during the summer season would help and boosting the wifi signal as it went out a few times.

Free parking, huge beds and TV, not far from the center, cheap price. Bathroom very clean and discretion. Dust outside of one room, in the common hallway.
Overall the motel is excellent! My kids wasn't able to use their laptop no router working.

We enjoyed the location. We could walk to a trolley stop and go most places on the trolley. There was no carpeting.
The staff was nice and the price was good for booking a day before. I like that it is close to market square so you can walk over. The river walk is about 8 blocks away with we walked also. This save us money on parking. The hotel is not clean. They need a better cleaning staff. Mold in restroom. Towels with hair. Bed was clean thankfully. Floor is dirty. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night but fine in the day . I would advise you to get a room toward the north side....rooms 120 to 140. It seem about to be safer.

Everything that I did was near by.
The hotel location (near the Mercado in Downtown San Antonio) and the reasonable room rates were good features. Houskeeping service knocked while we were still in room (10:00am), but did not return to make up room. Not discovered until we returned to room at 10:00pm.
