The position in the towncentre of Setubal. Parking facilities would have been appreciated
Everything! Super hotel in ideal location
The location was next to the ferry to Troia and near a lot of restaurants, shops and bars, the breakfast room had a nice view, I had two windows in my room (corner) and in general the value/price is high. Nothing exceptional, good or bad. Not an hotel to stay in the room or lobby, but on the other hand you don't need to do it in this town.
Location. Bed and pillow were unconfortable. The room was cold and there was no extra blanket. Much noise from the street (no double glazing on the windows).
Roome service, very clean, nice staff, good place
super value and location
Nice hotel with a nice swimming pool. Hotel is close to railway station, but only a couple of trains per hour so not a lot of noise.
central situation, beautiful view, pequeno almoco wardrobe doors
Good honest value and in a grat location to explore the region, which boast pleanty of activities for a week-end break. It was what I was expecting from the hotel, during a business trip to Portugal.
This hotel was last renovated about 20 years ago. Surely in the 90's it looked good, but its 2009 now. We used the elevator once, afterwards we decided to rather use the stairs because it was giving strange noises. The lights were not working on the hallway. I have no idea why they advertise themselves as 5 star...in reality it is a 3 star hotel.
Nice hotel, nice room, very kind staff, good selection of breakfast, tasty dinner at the hotel restaurant with wonderful view, enough place to park, no problems with air condition or any other equipment of the room. Difficult to find the hotel, address was not in GPS navigation. To put the other road Rua de sao Jorge in navigation could help. Hotel is up the hill in dead end of that street.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall, the place could do with an update, it was a little 1980's. The first room we had (Junior Suite) had a 'temporary' standalone AC unit that was very very noisy and did not keep the temperature of both rooms cool enough. We could not sleep much that first night, so we moved after the first night to a regular room. I would not expect them to have charged the full price for that first night (but they did) and it would have been better if they did not use that room if it does not have adequate cooling for the height of the summer.
nice hotel steaff: send us the coat, we've forgotten over there, back home :)
Entire Hotel was in very good condition. Rooms were spotless and extremely spacious. Even the balcony was large and had a nice view of Setubal. The signs leading you into the hotel were well marked until you reached the turn ascending up the hill. All previous signs were raised approximately 8 feet, but the last sign was at ground level. Also, the address as listed is not programmable in google maps. As is pointed out in the description of the hotel, it is not central to Setubal, but the view and amenities compensate for the decentralized location.
The size and decoration of the suite, the general cleanliness! the comfort of the bed. The shower didn't work properly, the hairdryer was ruined.
No swimmingpool present in the hotel
very clean and comfortable room. Kind staff, welcome with a glass of wine. Quite away from Setubal but if you go by car no problem, 5 mins drive to downtown
A good no frills accommodition for one night, excellent breakfast for extra price
Very good value/money ratio. No
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and were happy to accommodate our two year old grandson It is close to a main road, which was somewhat noisy.
Very clean hotel, easy to find from directions. Access by car to Setubal was good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Mattress in room was not comfortable, although bedding and pillows were very good.
We were met by a young "man" in scruffy jeans and teeshirt who then brought the "manageress" dressed likewise. The room had seen better days with worn bedding etc. and no no hot water for the whole of our 24hour stay. Likewise the tea and coffee for the breakfast was cold. The hotel is approx. 1 kilometre from the seafront and nowhere locally to eat.It does not deserve its 4 star rating in any way at all.
The expected services were excellent and great value for money, but personally I found the staff and the way the treated us magnificent. I was really happy to stay at the Albergaria Laitau. Without a doubt one of the best hotel services I have ever experienced (and I have stayed at world reknown hotels!). Not at all...everything was excellent!
a nice place When they say: "Internet access" - it was not possible to buy acces cards for the periode you want - they need to have more cards !!
We had the good fortunate to be upgraded to stay in the Windmill accommodation. Overlooking the estuary and Troia, the view was outstanding. The 2 storey accommodation is wonderful and beautifully furnished. The swimming pool area is also lovely.
it is in a beautiful location & having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the River Sado is fabulous. This was my 2nd visit.
Breakfast with a magnificent view overlooking Troia and the beaches. Watching the ferrIes come and go. Lack of information regarding what to do in the area. Not really the hotel's obligation but would have been helpful.
The location of this place is beyond any imagination. A real hidden treasure. The view, the windmill itself is such a wonderful experience, and the pool and huge playground makes it an outstanding place for children as well.
Warm, kind welcome, even though we arrived at 10pm due to plane delay; cleanliness; beautiful decor in the house; excellent position with views of the coast.
Very quiet place, Enourmous view for the river, very clean rooms
the cleanliness, the view over the seaside and the location. It was excellent, just what we wanted!
Peace and quiet with a lovely pool and superb view over the bay Nothing - all excellent
Quiet, but well appointed. A very relaxing small hotel with a superb view over the Troia peninsula. It is set in the hills outside Setubal & is well worth seeking out. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Jeg blev yderst godt modtaget, og er tilfreds på alle måder
Værtens holdninger overfor gæster.Jeg ejer dette hotel og jeg bestemmer.
central beliggendhed bedre morgenmad og elevator
Good parking space. The bed cover was damaged with a very big hole. It did not look proper for a hotel. There was no remote control for the tv. There was no carpet on the floor next to the bed. There was no to put the floor for when you leave the chower. Very noisy early in the morning.
The place is very nice and quiet not far from shopping area Yes, because no frigde
Location and staff No telephone service in the rooms;basic cafateia style meals
Very short stay,so difficult to comment accurately.Difficult to find.Reception was a bit late in morning.
