Fordele: Definitely in the top 2 places I’ve stayed in Birmingham. Staff are absolutely lovely, smiley and always willing to help. Rooms are perfect size and you get more than what you pay for, clean bathrooms, clean bedding. Buffet style breakfast included in room price too! I’ll deffo be staying again.

Ulemper: This is my second visit and I am disappointed about the attention to cleaning detail in the apartment. On my first visit the toilet in my bathroom had been used and not flushed and this time I had to go back down stairs to reception to ask for teabags and milk as only coffee was available in the apartment. It’s the little things as they say!

Fordele: Location and room facilities

Fordele: Absolutely exceptional service and facilities. I have never stayed at a similarly priced hotel with such a nice room, full of great touches, like a memory foam mattress, bath tub, large sink, Nespresso machine in room. The staff helped me to print of documents for a meeting the following day and there was a fully equipped kitchen. I will definitely use Adagio again if I can find rooms within my companies expenses limit.

Ulemper: There is honestly nothing I could fault. The room could have been a five start hotel for all I knew!

Fordele: Very clean and comfortable room, the staff were professional, pleasant and made you feel very welcome. Room was well equipped and reception foyer has shop facilities for purchasing food items, condiments etc to cook in your room kitchenette if you don’t feel like eating out. Very clean facilities and well cared for by cleaning staff. The check out baggage room was a bonus and very safe and secure. Would most definitely stay here again.

Fordele: Location couldn't be better - the hotel is surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. Everything about the hotel and its staff was bright, clean and comfortable.

Fordele: The room felt high quality and stylish. The bathroom particularly is very nice with a large shower and lovely mirror. The bed is huge and the 2 pillows each gave good options to find the right level of comfort. The staff were very friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome.

Ulemper: The hairdryer sounded like it was about to explode when we used it, so that was a little unnerving. But honestly, I have nothing else bad to say.

Fordele: every part of the hotel was amazing, from the bed to the location of the hotel; in the heart of Birmingham (mailbox) and a few minutes walk from everything that you need or what. loved the place.

Ulemper: the wifes medication supposed to kept in the fridge when she wanted to use it,it had been frozen unable to use we had to ring the hospital for advice, we are in our 70s and have a full day and watch tv at night but the signal on the tv made it unwatchable all weekend very poor

Men der var slet ikke noget problem med at få et værelse, der var stor nok til at have en kørestol med. Personalet var superflinke! Vi havde nogen timer dagen efter vi ankom, som vi skulle bruge i Birmingham inden hjemrejse. Uden problemer fik vi opmagasineret baggage og kørestol, og hentet det et par timer senere - igen uden problemer. Morgenmaden var super lækker! Et lækkert udvalg man kunne vælge imellem og et godt udvalg af kaffe og te ligeledes

Fordele: Excellent location of the hotel, in vicinity of restaurants and shopping area, with Central Station extremely close and public parking at affordable prices nearby. Museums and other cultural attractions are also within walking distance.

Ulemper: Had a few issues with room upon allocation when I arrived but staff were very.obliging, cooperative and efficient in resolving issue. However, the upgraded room also has a number of issues not least the door lock failing leaving me locked in my room. Again staff were very efficient in resolving the issue and apologetic. Further complimentary upgrade was very welcomed but this too resulted in 2 out of 3 TVs in the suite not working. The only working TV was the one in the bathroom haha! Also had a few issues with billing but staff again resolved this quickly and efficiently. Pleasant clean environment and pleasant staff. Just be prepared for a few hiccups

Fordele: The bar area in nice with pleasant atmosphere, good food and drinks and nice staff.

Ulemper: The rooms have no sound proofing what so ever so we barely got any sleep. The corridor outside the room has doors along it and they bang shut so every time somebody came through the door there was a mound bang. You could hear people walk along the corridors and bags being dragged down the hall. That coupled with other noises meant we got almost no sleep. Our party occupied two rooms and it was the same in both rooms. It feels like a newly refurbished hotel where all the money was spent on the bar area with a lower quality finish to the rooms and no soundproofing. The bar areas received deliveries shortly after 6am, the doors slamming on the vehicle and the downstairs entrance could easily be heard in our room making sleep impossible.

Fordele: Good location with parking and spacious, comfortable room with some nice touches like the complimentary minibar and coffee maker. Helpful reception staff.

Ulemper: Downstairs bar area is noisy, which made it a poor choice for evening meal. I chose to eat out, rather than opt for room service. The buffet breakfast is limited and cooked breakfast service slow, coffee was cold and toast not offered. Only one member of staff on duty for breakfast but not particularly busy. There was also a lot of street noise until quite late.

Ulemper: The bed matress was really poor quality

Fordele: Staff were very responsive to my email about bedding and allergies. Chech-in/out was good. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Ulemper: Breakfast did not kick off very well. The coffee was cold do had to send it back. There was no fruits had to wait some time for that to be replenished. I asked for a poached egg 'well done', it had to be sent back again. My husband's full English breakfast was not hot it was luke warm which gave him indigestion.

Fordele: I’ve stayed at the Eaton twice now. The hotel is excellent value for money,clean rooms,good breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

Fordele: We stayed in the suit which was absolutely lovely, especially the bathroom. The whole hotel was so clean. Lovely staff and breakfast was lovely too.

Fordele: Have stayed at the Eaton a good few times. It’s good. Lots of parking, quiet, good quality rooms and great bathrooms. Food is always good. Room was clean.

Ulemper: My particular room this time had a few scruffy marks in the paintwork. Some of it looked like makeup marks..? But it didn’t put me off. Room was otherwise clean.

Fordele: I thought the reception staff very good both late last night when I arrived and also when I checked out this morning. I also liked the fact that, as a Hilton Honours member, two complimentary bottles of water had been left in my room on arrival.

Ulemper: I thought the breakfast very poor to be frank - limited cereals, no croissants, the coffee machine dripped out a single Expresso over a period of 3 mins and the fruit options were poorly presented and not particularly tasty.

Ulemper: Entrance to parking blocked and a constant thrum outside all night.

Fordele: Speedy check in on arrival to the hotel after a long day and short walking distance from event venue to hotel was also good

Ulemper: Unable to get food in the Recess restaurant at night, despite being on my own there were not tables even for one left. If I could have been accommodated within the restaurant it would have been a forty minute wait for food, not what you want after a long day and are looking for a warm meal

Fordele: Staff were very welcoming, check is was swift and the room was modern and clean with everything you need. The location was perfect for visiting the Arena and surrounding areas. It was very quiet at night and there was nothing to disturb us from sleeping. The foyer, restaurant and bar were clean and well presented and altogether very inviting. Breakfast was pretty good value especially for a Hilton chain and there was ample choice of things to eat.

Ulemper: Nothing really. The room wasn’t quite ready on check in even though we didn’t arrive before 3:00pm but we were given a complimentary drink for waiting a few minutes. There was a problem with the hotel’s water supply too. This was known at check in but wasn’t mentioned to us. Not a massive issue as it was fixed later in the day while we were out but still think it would have been nice of them to tell us. Instead we went to the room, used the facilities and then discovered there was not water to flush or wash hands with. This is a one off kind of thing so can’t be too harsh about it and it certainly wouldn’t prevent me from booking the same hotel again if I needed to.

Fordele: Across the road from the airport terminal, perfect for early departures or late arrivals. The staff who greeted me in reception at 2am were both very cheery, and checked me in quickly, so I could get to bed!

Ulemper: Pillows were soft and offered no support therefor I didn’t sleep. Room needed a little tlc with broken cupboard. TV was basic with lack of options such as catch-up.

Fordele: I liked the location, very near to the station and shops.

Ulemper: I thought the bar area was a bit soulless, like it was an after thought. Quite cold at times too as it was close to the main doors.

Ulemper: The fire alarm went off all afternoon. The tv stopped working. There was no coffee at breakfast. Not even any still water or juice unless you managed to find a member of staff and ask them to refill. The food was cold. We had to wait ages to be seated. We asked for gluten free bread at dinner due to an intolerance. After we had eaten they told us that someone had made a mistake and it wasn’t gluten free. They apologised and gave us £7.00 of our bill. We thought it would be ok as was only a small amount but my husband was ill all night.

Fordele: Filipa on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was what you would expect as was the breakfast but nothing special.

Ulemper: The bar was ridicously expensive with not very good service. £14 for a glass of very average white wine.

Fordele: Location was great. Staff in general were well mannered. Up to 18 floors. Has a gym, but didn't get to see it. Well sized rooms also. Shoe machines on the floors along with ice.

Ulemper: I have to say I love the Raddison blu brand but this will now be the 1st of two lower than average reviews I'll be writing. First of all I felt lucky and a little excited to get a good deal of £88 per night (with breakfast) as apposed to the £150-£170 most sites were advertising (including Raddison blu on their club Carlson membership site). It started with the arrival with my colleague, a small lobby for the size of the hotel. No one there at first but they came out seconds later so it wasn't too much of a problem. We explained to the front desk that I had booked the rooms for two of us, but rather than looking it was assumed it would be under separate names. Could have been my fault so I'll let that go. We then both checked in, only to find that both rooms were under my name. This was done quite fast, which was good and we were sent on our way with a brief explanation about the breakfast in the morning. Missed the offers that were on hand and not valid at check-in so no upsell. Had they asked we would have taken one of the offers. I did show my club Carlson card and asked if there was anyway of upgrading as to which she said "I'm afraid not as the hotel is fully booked". Which was understandable (remember this part!). I was getting myself together at the reception desk, at which she thanked me. She then thanked me again and gave me a look to say do that somewhere else! I looked around and saw a queue behind me, which I was surprised as there was no one there when we arrived. I apologised when I left the desk but left with a slightly sour taste in my mouth. I then went to my room which smelt of cigarettes. I wasn't sure whether someone was taking a chance on smoking in their room or it was a stench in the actual room. The carpet had stains that seemed well embedded (my colleagues room looked as though blood had been engraved into the carpet with stains too!), the tv had very poor reception (so that was the Brits out of the window). Bathroom was a good size and clean, so was the room in general. But lacked any homely or business feel.

Fordele: I was passed out drunk in my room after a somewhat heated exchange wit my partner. She for reasons only known to whatever deity you pretend to pray to elected to come over. This was an excellent choice assisted by the staff of the Radisson blu hotel.

Ulemper: I have to use a key card to access my floor, its a layer of security that is utterly redundant.

Fordele: Great hotel, the staff were lovely, Breakfast was Delicious

Ulemper: Our shower screen had a gap on the side where the water overflowed. the hotel staff were great and gave us another room to move too. Arriving in the room the staff had left drink and snack for me and the family. From a bad point they turned it around fairly quickly.

Fordele: The facilities were adequate although the room was small. Handy for the NEC which was the destination.

Ulemper: Room was very small.

Fordele: There is a good selection at breakfast which is included in the price of the room. The Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful during our short stay.

Fordele: It was a great hotel for the price paid, I'd expected a lot less, but rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was super. A great stay, highly recommended.

I certainly asked for a double. I have paid a lot less for better standard rooms. The staff even remarked that the standard rooms, deluxes etc were all the same room but different prices!!!! Disgraceful considering the price. The hotel itself is very dated and in need of some repair - how they get away with charging what they do is beyond me. I complained and was given a complimentary breakfast...only to be charged this when we checked out, together with a 5% service charge for the restaurant that evening that was not seen anywhere on the bill i signed. We went back and asked for a refund and this was processed however it still hasn't reached my account. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Ulemper: Was given a room suitable for a disable person!!! Was not too impressed by that at all. Request was to have a room closer to other family members.

Fordele: The breakfast was superb, the leisure club was great and the late check out was great, overall a superb stay with kind and friendly staff.

Fordele: Breakfast was ok - but now coffee is help yourself from an urn and every morning it was stewed. Appears to me they are cutting costs but still charging the same rate Staff were excellent and friendly

Ulemper: Breakfast Cheeseboard had two small pieces of cheese and 3 grapes Not acceptable for this class of hotel

Fordele: Interesting historical building in beautiful settings, although not being local we struggled to find it on the first pass. Lots of activities available - swimming, tennis, golf, spa. So bring your kit! Attentive staff were really helpful.

Ulemper: Saturday night is clearly a popular wedding venue. It was more lively than we anticipated, but working like an oiled machine.

Fordele: it is a 25 minutes walking from the city center, but it's nice road. the comfy beds, calm, clean, the staff. everything

Ulemper: nothing

Ulemper: Did not have any basic scotch only malt

Fordele: Use of the pool and spa facilities.

Ulemper: Not enough beds around the pool.

Ulemper: Nothing

Fordele: Staff was excellent

Ulemper: paying £13 for parking this should be included with the room rate . We paid £259 for 1 night room only

Ulemper: The only thing was I asked for brown sauce in the morning and none was given to me but that was it really!

Fordele: The breakfast was excellent and the beds very comfortable

Ulemper: It is very dated and a bit run down. Could use a refurbish. The bar area and restaurant are too small for the amount of guests

Fordele: Very friendly and polite staff. Comfy bed and great amenities. Great choice at breakfast.

Ulemper: Price of parking if your a guest

Fordele: Great location for east Birmingham and for getting back out of town. Close to public transport links. Great room. Great facilities (pool and steam room). Friendly and helpful staff.

Ulemper: Slightly boring interior of the bar (i.e. not really that important).
