God akustik i hele hotellet.
Et godt hotel i ægte Argentinsk stil.
Although overloaded by 3 ongoing conferences and crowds moving in and out of the hotel, the staff at reception was extremely kind and attentive. spa annd pool with outstanding views is worth a try. Service overall was very good. I stayed two nights, the first night I was assigned an old room with an old carpet, full of stains, extremely poor lighting, a bathtub with cracks and holes, a partly rotten cabinet. I thought of leaving the hotel. I spoke to the reception manager and for the second night I was moved to a room that was, simply, perfect. Make sure you request a renovated room! Anyway, why do they keep such old and unclean rooms?
the view from the room was great and the concierge very helpful
The pool & buffet breakfast were amazing! It was a chilly day in Buenos Aires so the indoor heated pool was very nice and I definitely put that to use. It is modern and clean and I enjoyed the cabanas and complimentary fresh juice. The view from the pool deck is outstanding! I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. They offered a wide assortment. Best breakfast I have had during my stay in Argentina. The rooms are large and the beds are large and comfortable. I slept very well. I enjoyed the spa tubs and the bathrooms are very chic! Only issue was the faucet...a little quirky at times but nothing major to complain about. I enjoyed the hardwood flooring and felt very safe in my hotel room. For a nice hotel like this one, they did not have hair dryers or converters. I would have been happy to pay for a converter if they offered one so it was a little annoying and a bit of a hassle to go out searching for one. I wasted about 45min of my time but eventually found one at a local market shop for very cheap.
lovely property, some of your staff (like bell boy) were friendly and nice. The timber etc was good. lovely property, but it needs desparate repair and upgrade. And your breakfast bar manager was unable to provide Soy Milk (for example). The bar closed 2 hours ahead of time. The room given earlier was too noisy. etc etc.
The central location and the helpful staff at the reception desk.
Great location and excellent service The pillows were really bad
The hotel has a great glassed in rooftop pool/spa/gym with fantastic views of the city and the rooms are very nice as well. Most breakfasts were in the ballroom rather than thier more attractive restaurant to accomidate the large number of clients being shuttled to cruise lines.
The hotel was central in the city and this made sightseeing very easy The security was a constant worry. One of our friends had her camera bag snatched away and stolen in the reception area!
Convenience to shopping sighseeing restaurants, easily accessible to airport by taxi, helpful, courteous staff. Regency rooms were shabby, we were lucky to receive an upgrade which was excellent & above comments did not apply
Best points: Fantastic Location, excellent fitness center and pool, very excellent service and friendly staff, great value overall Negatives: The bed was ready to be replaced, runny eggs at the buffet, room safe not working well
The mattress in our room could be replaced. It was like sleeping on a rolling slope of hills, basically it was lumpy. The breakfast was great the first day, however by the 5th day I was craving something else! Good selection of food, the scrambled eggs were runny. It's free so these are minor complaints. The hotel is right near the "obelisk." It's centrally located which makes it ideal. Quick cab rides to all the barrios.
The location is excelent, the room was very big, the bed large and comfortable I didn't like at all the glass see-through walls in the bathroom, prefer privacy there. I also didn't like not having carpets on the floors, I use to do gymnastics in the mornings, and it's not comfortable to do it on a naked floor.
no smoking room should not have ashtray
The location was great, walking distance to the pedestrian walking street Calle Florida. Service was also excellent. I am very allergic to dust and it wasn't until I put the comforter/throws from the bed into the living room that I was able to sleep and wake without feeling like I could not breathe.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the city. Perhaps the staff could have had better English language skills
The room was comfortable and it was a suite style. It was big and the bathroom was of a good size for Argentina standards. My room was facing an important and busy city avenue.I need ear plugs for sleep. If you want a quiet room it is consider and upgrade and you need to pay more.
Having kitchen facilities in the suite, the two separate rooms, proximity to downtown. They also promptly accomodated a change to twin beds from a double. The elevators were claustrophobis, corridors sometimes smelled a bit of cigarette smoke and I was not able to get onto the hotel internet via my iPod although the staff at the front desk did try to help.
very nice location and class of hotel, large room, well equipped The staff speaks mainly Spanish, some of them poor English if you are lucky. However, they try being helpful.
Location, large room, well equipped, cleaning services
Great staff, great location right on the obelisc, clean room with big bathroom and strong shower, great breakfast. Could be a little cheaper and it should have a better selection of wines.
Central location, staff had pretty good english, spacious rooms, ok breakfast, pretty ok value for the money swimming pool water was bit dirty, some (not all) of the young staff in the breakfast room were more concentrating on gossiping than serving the customers
Good Location to city
Having internet in lobby only was inconvenient. Staff not helpful in obtaining power strip for charging phones, etc. Rooms comfortable, and cleaning staff were excellent and very helpful.
IT was just a wonderful place to stay and everything was perfect. The staff was fantastic!!!!! Would highly recommend it to everyone.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very convenient location, clean and quiet rooms. We have stayed in Reconquista prior to our Patagonia tour. After the tour we have returned to BUA with the group and intended to stay in hotel booked by the tour company (just around the corner). That hotel was very noisy, tired and staff was unfriendly and not helpful so we have returned to Reconquista Garden. There we got very quiet and comfortable room with friendly welcome of the staff who recognized us from the three day stay month before.
The staff attention
The hotel staff spoke good English and were helpful. Central location. Breakfast good. Rooms were very clean. We booked the hotel because of the indoor and outdoor pool, but were told neither of these were in use until December. We also wanted internet access but this also was not available due to technical problems. The hotel is on a busy street with both bus and subway services which were extremely noisy - the "sound proofed" rooms did not do the job (and we were on the sixth floor).
Excellent location, very close to metro stations The morning coffee could be better. Expensive for the level of comfort
professional staff, nice room, good breakfast,
Location was very good, central, reason for the selection. Services also are very good. Breakfast great. Recommended! No, everything was as expected. No problems at all.
My room was too small for 5 star Hotel (but excellent in cleanliness and well seviced). Carpets were tired in Hallways on floor 5. Overall a pleasant experience.
Central Location It is classified as a 5 star but is definately not . By upgrading our room 2 levels it became a 4 star. I would recommend hotel by location and staff only.
Modern design hotel, with all facilities, fantastic staff and not very big but neat rooms. There are a lot of elevators, which all ring a very loud bell when arriving at reguested floors. When you are in a room close to the elevators you gone have problems with sleeping. Some rooms have an extra door that keeps the sound away. The rooms are not really big, not even the suites or more upmarket rooms.
Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. In many other countries I believe it would be 3 star.Otherwise ok.Weekend staff appeared to be very inexperienced.
Nice hotel, room clean, nice people and very good breakfast.
Great breakfast and bistro. The rooms are confortable and clean. Excelent location. The staff at the reception desk could be more friendly.
Very good breakfast and a nice gym center. The room was clean and big. Good lacation, near center. Breakfast on the weekend was better that the one I took on monday, much better!
Good Gym and Sauna. Free WiFi access everywhere in the hotel. Good breakfast (for price). Room next to a loud street and poor sound insulation. Not enough adaptors available in the hotel to connect your electric devices to the funny Argentinean power outlets.
Very confortable and nice hotel, just a few steps to Obelisco and subway. I would not say anything about the hotel but about Buenos Aires microcenter, where the hotel is located that seemed to us very decadent and dirty. In a word, an excelent hotel in a not very nice area.
Central Location, Attentive & Polite Staff
Well located central hotel with very clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff Despite requesting a non smoking room it was clear tht rooms are all smoking, however it had been sprayed with air neutraliser and opening the windows soon aired the smell
staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Good to have free internet access. Reasonably central location good sized rooms and beds very comfortable pillows a little thin would have liked 2 but that is personal preference adn they were provided when asked for . In last room we had the bathroom was getting a bit tatty but other 2 rooms were fine. Breakfast average but plenty of it. Would have liked more fresh fruit
It was quiet despite being on a busy street and for having a room by the elevator. Room was comfortable. COOKING RANGE IN PICTURES DOESN'T WORK. I was told none of the ranges work even though they're in all the pictures. At least there was a microwave, fridge and an electric hot water kettle. Towels and sheets were clean but looked pretty worn out.
Luxurous rooms, excellent buffet breakfast
Very large rooms, brand new and very clean.
The suites were roomy and clean. It is centrally located and walkable for city center, eating places, tourist sites, and shopping centers. The in room television offered very few English language channels.
The hotel is new with excellent facilities. The staff are attentive. The room was very good, no carpet and was arranged by the daily maid service. The bed was big and comfortable. The breakfast was great. There is still a good gym for those who want to burn the calories acquired the restaurants in the city. The hotel is very well located, you can go almost all the sights on foot and subway station is nearby. The room also has a small kitchen with utensils, which helps on the days they choose not to go out to eat. In short, the location of the hotel room, breakfast and new installations of Icaro are excellent value for money. There is no negative comment to make.
very helpful reception staff. knowledgeable about the city. location of the hotel is near buses and only a couple of blocks from the SubTe underground, near many theatres and restaurants.
Location close to the event I attended, new, very good service, close to many restaurants, bookshops and theaters.
In the center of Buenos Aires, next to Florida Street and Galerias Pacifico, we could also walk to Puerto Madero. Breakfast was good, except for the orange juice and coffee.
Efficient check in, informative clerk, easy luggage storage, efficient AC and WIFI Breakfast bar closed!
It was cheap, It was very cold in the room, even with the two extra blankets I had on the bed. The carpets were dirty and gross and the surfaces of all the tables were greasy, as well as the remote for the TV. The bathroom was extremely small, the wifi barely worked, and it wasn't located in the best part of town.
The staff was extremely helpfull and storage of luggage is done safely. The hotel is conveniently located to many shops, bars and coffee shops and you can stroll around the area for hours! The hotel is also close to the domestic airport if you're travelling within Argentina. We ended up staying with this hotel a total of 5 nights as we stopped over from travelling to other South American countries. The bedding was not as fluffly and comfortable as I would have liked and the bathrooms are very small. But these are minor niggles.
Great location ! Splendid good sized comfortable bedroom .Friendly staff.
The staff were very obliging and the location is excellent for inner city Buenos Aires visit.
we had a super room room was noisy , we were on the street front
Hotel staff were very nice and helpful and they are available 24 hours. Location was great, walking distance to a lot of attractions and shopping mall. The room was big and clean.Value for money...
Room space; location; staff; breakast
The staff There was any computer available to be used by the guests
The rate was very good. The location is iconic and easy to find. Taxis easily available and cheap. You'll find restaurants and markets in close proximity. It is on a major avenue, and next to many subway and bus connection lines, so expect a big flow of people most of the day, but if you like walking or using public transport, it's easy to do. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast good. The hotel is old and spaces tighter than in newer ones, but it's updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our flight arrived early but the hotel was full, so we had to wait hours for our room.
The room was tiny, barely space to turn even though it was supposed to be Luxe room! The hotel staff not friendly, and not helpful very uncommon for Argentina
Helpful staff, good food, great service, great value. had to pay for the wifi and it was expensive.
The room was very clean and the NH employees were very customer orientated! I would of given a better rating for comfort, but due to the air conditioner be down and the room being very hot, I gave only 3 stars. Overall, I very nice hotel!
LOCATION AND HELPFUL STAFF EXCELLENT HOTEL FOR 3-6 DAY STAY ON A MEDIUM BUDGET, BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD OVERALL ALL A GOOD OPTION DIFFICULT TO GET UP ELECTRIC STAIRS LITTLE NOICESY
One member of the staff was particularly helpful and friendly. Two others at the desk seemed too busy and somewhat 'distant' and I lacked sense of welcome from them. My wife was not able to come and I registered on arrival for a single room and, although breakfast was included, and only one person ate breakfast, I was charged as though two people ate breakfast for six days
location and service excellent traffic noise
the only good thing about it was the location - very central, otherwise very average hotel
The staff was most helpful, friendly and kind; the location is great to go anywhere in the city; the room was more than clean; b'fast was great, too!
The location was perfect - we only had one day in Buenos Aires and the location enabled us to get to all of the tourist places easily - either walking or an inexpensive cab ride.
Breakfast, bathroom and location None
Location, staff Hotel has an old furniture and no lot of space in room for 4* hotel
It's location is great for city trip to most of near by attractions. The room is so clean, only but something need to be fixed ie. the wardrobe door...the noisy vent fan etc. The soundproof is pretty poor. We were disturbed by the tv/toilet sound from both side rooms. Only one small pocket size tissue was provided during the 4-nite stay.
Attentive and helpful staff. Fair treatment - ie I booked a 'standard double' room even though I was travelling alone ( I don't like 'single' rooms) and was quoted US$100 + VAT at 21% per night by 'booking.com' . For 6 nights that should have cost US$726. I was actually charged only US$90 per night as I was a single occupant of a double room, and that was inclusive of VAT. Therefore 6 nights only US$540. - (I had stayed there for 5 nights 3 weeks earlier and was quoted and received the same terms. Both rooms were large, comfortable (huge double beds) and impeccably clean. I I felt safe, was treated fairly, and was impressed by the honesty and courtesy of the staff, and the security measures in the Hotel, Good value for money. Evening meals only available during weekdays, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby so not a real problem.
I liked that many rooms have been renovated and the lobby also looks really good. The bar is a nice place to chill out. There's no booklet about the hotel facilities, how to use the appliances and what is available, including room service. We booked a deluxe room which should be two rooms, however, we were placed in a tiny room in the 4th floor. I stayed there in 2006, it was being renovated at the time, and still is! Maybe the crisis is affecting them!
The atmosphere of linking old style with modern facilities. Very helpful staff and very enjoyable hotel lobby. Comfortable rooms with modern look. Highly recommended! Lack of a wide choice of a la carte dinner.
Hotel is very nice, but there are some renewal in progress. Don't stay in rooms to the Callao St, or you'll be woke up at 7am.
We travelled from Australia and arrived tired and in need of a good rest and The Savoy delivered this. The staff was warm and receptive on arrival and the bathroom was indeed a haven as the facilities are exceptional. Parking bay facilities-due to the Hotel on a busy road-made getting luggage from a taxi quite a hazzard
Very impressed by the location and the design which is a mixture between an old colonial style and moder design. Very nice and comfortable room with spacious bathroom.
Stunningly beautiful hotel, a piece of history. Both Evita Peron and Albert Einstein stayed here. Our room was great. It had very high ceilings and modern furnishings and a little balcony. The bathroom tiles were marble and the countertops were granite. It was very upscale. I was a little hesitant to book because I had read reviews about the lack of Internet in the room, but that proved to be wrong. For 60 pesos (about 5-6 dollars), we had great Internet service in the room. We didn't have a transformer, and they provided one for us. When we checked out, the bellboy negotiated a great fare for our taxi ride back to the airport. A very upscale hotel, truly beautiful, a great buy for the money. The staff was wonderful and very courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with my stay here and will stay here again when I visit Buenos Aires in the future. The location was great: very central with easy access to the subways, many bus lines and steps to the Parliament Building. Horrible breakfast. Truly horrible! Don't bother buying the breakfast package.
The hotel is being totally renovated. The rooms that are done are great with modern baths, marble, and decor, the rooms that are not, are not. The exterior is completely covered in construction gauze so you can't see out the windows very well but they are doing a good job with new soundproof doors and windows. No English news programing and only a few English movie channels. Construction dust is bad on some floors but rapidly improving,.
the new renovated rooms (we stayed on the 4th and 5th floor) are good, spacious (although no bathtub) and value for your money no newspaper (while visiting the first time we did get one), the breakfest is very poor (more a 2 star hotel), the staff is not really traint in giving a high quality services (not enough skills) if you relate it to a 4 star hotel.
This applies only to 'standard rooms', but still strange for a 4 star hotel
It is an upscale hotel with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a nice place. The hotel is a block and a half away from the National Assembly. The infrastructure in the neighbourhood is in very bad condition and the area is very unfortunately not safe.
Good location near in Buenos Aries centre and close to subway station. Helpful English-speaking staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Smart rooms.
good staff, clean rooms, historical building fair breakfast
Hotel is old, located at very noisy city streets.Staff is not friendly, hotel should be refurbished. Door could not be locked, and we felt very unhappy. After one night we changed it.
The room was fantastic, we had a living room with 3 piece suite, and a bedroom and a bathroom with jaccuzzi. Great breakfast too. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Helpful staff, decor of the hotel, comfortable room, very comfortable bed. Our room faced onto the street and the noise from the street on Sunday night was loud, and frequent.
Internet service not free as in all other hotels I was.
The staff is really very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast. Nice location, near the obelisk. The room I've got was far away from a 4 star hotel... I'm guessing they supplied me a cheap one because of the reservation issues. The nearby streets weren't very clean.
I have stayed in this hotel about 8 times over the last three years, usually only for one night as I pass through BA en route to Mendoza. It is comfortable, if a little dimly lit. The internet connection can be erratic. The buffet breakfast is fine for a hotel at this price. The staff are friendly and their English matches my Spanish more or less, so it works. Limos/taxis booked by the hotel arrive promptly and are reasonably priced. The price quoted by the hotel for these has always been what the driver has asked - a big plus in Argentina. May not suit the most fussy Americans, but fine for an oldish Brit. (I stayed two nights on this trip as I passed through BA so don't send me a second form!)
it was excellent. really. couldn´t expect the staff being so nice, getting out of their way to please the guests etc. great value for money. breakfast is good, the location is perfect absolutely not
