Fordele: We enjoyed a lot the breakfast. Hotel location is great.

Fordele: The location and room is excellent value for money. Breakfast was a bonus. Really good and highly recommended.

Ulemper: Its in the heart of downtown so it can get noisy at late hours. If you are fine with that, then all good.

Fordele: Good room and breakfast. Really confortable bed.

Ulemper: Der var ikke de store problemer, men stedet ligger tæt ved natklubber. De har gjort meget for at lukke lyden ude og det lykkes næsten. Men de kan ikke gøre noget ved bassen.

Fordele: Breakfast selection isn't huge but it's very good and staff keeps the stock all top notch all the time.

Fordele: The two reception staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to the beachfront, marina, shopping, and restaurants. The breakfast included was great!

Fordele: Not sure if it was worth the money, but I think that’s typical for the area. The room was pretty basic. Secure parking for a little extra nearby was handy.

Fordele: We liked the style of the property - one of the first hotels in Figueira da Foz, restored and very well maintained. It is charming and, at the same time, has many facilities for guests. The staff is also great! Emilia, the host, is someone you can always count on: she is beyond kind and helpful and supported my family whenever we needed, always with a smile and patience. The breakfast: great!

Fordele: Beautiful old house in the casino street, vis-á-vis historic café Pastelaria Império, next to the former Casino Oceano and the new Casino da Figueira. Walking distance to Claridade beach and the city parks. Very family friendly. Delicious breakfast with pão-de-ló and fresh fruits. Very good restaurants close by.

Ulemper: The beautiful steep old staircase that gives access to the guest house and the indoor staircase are an obstacle for those with reduced mobility.

Fordele: Room was big and spacious

Fordele: Beautiful ArtDeco home. Location to beaches and port good. Close to bus and trains. Clean and spacious room with large windows and small balcony. Fridge cold, showers hot. TV and air cooler work well.Comfy bed, Good breakfast lovely family run guest house. Minimart below and lots of restaurants close by. Quiet at night even though Casino and restaurants close by. Would recommend staying here. I do not understand previous review saying should be 3.2..this is crazy!!! Very pleasant stay and lovely hosts x x x Obrigada Senorita

Ulemper: Nothing...be aware stairs are steep at front entrance, but we knew this from photos and requested 1st level room as more stairs inside to top level.

Ulemper: Reception poor, room ageing decor

Fordele: Quiet peaceful and beautiful property. The veiws are spectacular and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

Fordele: Lovely place with a beautiful ocean view and a swimming pool. Very nice and friendly staff. Lovely dinner and good breakfast.

Fordele: The view is spectacular. The room was comfortable (with a fridge) and the owners very friendly. The evening meal (extra but good value) was very good.

Fordele: This place is incredible! The view is spectacular! The food is very good, the staff is very friendly, the pool is extremely clean. The rooms are perfect. The bed's are good. Casa Pinha deserves 10 Stars!

Fordele: Wonderful location, great view from the window(s), helpful and kind staff who solve problems quickly and efficiently, comfortable and very clean room, excellent water pressure even on the top floor. Thank you!

Ulemper: I really liked the breakfast, it was tasty and nourishing. However, somebody more picky might find it lacking in options. Also, a minor inconvenience was that most of the staff did not speak English and I did not speak any of the languages they did (French and Spanish).

Fordele: - the location of the hotel - the shutter on the window to make it dark inside - the quietness - nice and helpful stuff even with limited english

Ulemper: - very very small room - old furniture - very small bath room - small bed for 2 - the breakfast was disappointing - only bread roll and croissant with one selection of cheese and some ham, bit jam and the coffee was not the greatest one - instead of a nice duvet we had a old scratchy blanket covert in a bedsheet - wouldn't book it again

Fordele: Staff is helpfull and friendly. Room was very clean and clining have been performed every day.

Fordele: The croissants were delightful as was all the continental breakfast

Ulemper: The climb up the stairs to the top floor where our room was located was difficult as we are senior adults, it would make a big difference if when booking your rooms on booking.com you could select the floor level as we did not know it was on the top floor until check/in, having said this the location was superb and easy to locate, near beaches, restaurants, and shops

Fordele: Dejligt værelse med flot udsigt. Boede på 5. Sal og havde derfor altan.

Fordele: Location is at the other end of the old town but there are very pleasant wood planked walks on the sand. Parking was all booked out but easy to pay a few Euro and park in front of the hotel. This is ok as long as you dont intend to spend the day at the beach - otherwise youll have to keep running back and pay up. Hotel is easy to find and ok for a night in this place. The town itself is not super exciting. Rooms are clean, a bit sterile but practical and functional. There was no safe in the room - strangely enough.

Ulemper: Breakfast was rather disappointing. Everything felt like out of a can or mass packaging. The town itself is not super exciting,, so if you use it more as a stop for an afternoon and evning on your trip from Porto to Lisbon, it's ok and convenient and gives you a bit of a feeling for these coastal towns.

Fordele: Good location. Easy to find. The beach is across the street. Adequate parking. Good breakfast buffet. Typical European hotel room; a bit small, but efficient.

Ulemper: We only stayed one night, so it was hard to find fault.

Fordele: The location and the staff. Good breakfast.

Ulemper: The air conditioner in my room did not cool. At the desk, the clerk told me that it was impossible to make any temperature adjustments. He told me that the hotel has some rooms with possibility of temperature regulation, but these rooms were already occupied. According to him, the temperature of my and other rooms was set at 25ºC. It was very difficult to get a car park.

Fordele: Great view.

Ulemper: Should have better maintenance in the rooms.

Fordele: Good facilities. Close to the beach. Good breakfast.

Ulemper: Having to wear swim caps at €6 each. A kettle in the room would have been nice and a balcony to sit on.

Fordele: Sengene var alt for hårde.

Ulemper: Sengene, skabsindretning. Ingen hylder, for lidt bøjler.

Fordele: The breakfast was great, the location by the beach was excellent, the service was fine. The room was clean and bed was comfortabel.

Ulemper: Unfortunately, the pool and spa facilities were old and poorly maintained.

Fordele: Great staff, lovely location overlooking the water. Great food.

Ulemper: The dinner Maria cooked was excellent, the only drawback was the dinner cost more then the two rooms we rented for the night.

Fordele: The pool and the surroundings are nice

Ulemper: There was noticiable mildew in the first room in which we stayed. We were changed to another one after complaining. The second room also developed mildew in the bathroom during our stay, lowering the quality of the air. It is very taxing to have to state the obvious all the time, specially given the price (more than 100 e/night and overall more than 600e). The only reason for which we stayed is that we were asking to pay upfront before having seen the bedroom. Stay clear of the restaurant. Definetely not good value for money. Wouldn't recommend.

Fordele: Location very calm! The suite with a jacuzzi was very nice with a beautiful view and the bed were sooooo confortable!!!!

Fordele: When I heard price of breakfast €10 each I thought it was a bit expensive but when we saw what we had for breakfast I was delighted. Lovely location.

Fordele: Det lå tæt på havet med fin udsigt. Stor god lejlighed.

Ulemper: Der var ingen restaurant på hotellet selvom det var oplyst på booking.com. Den har kun åben i kuli og august fik vi oplyst.

Fordele: The room was ideal with large ensuite and massive balcony over looking pool and the sea.

Ulemper: Didn't have sauna (had two jacuzzis)

Fordele: Super nice view through the balcony.

Ulemper: Wifi was not working in the room.

Fordele: Nice views very good value off season. A little frayed at the edges so to speak. For example the tile in the outdoor pool needs serious cleaning

Ulemper: See above and only restaurant is for breakfast unless they have a large tour group

Fordele: Good central location very helpful reception staff. Excellent breakfast.

Ulemper: Barking dog next to hotel late at night and the middle of the night. Needs to be addressed by managment with dog owner.

Ulemper: the lock on the room should be with a card and not a key,

Fordele: Staff and location. The bed was clean and comfortable

Ulemper: No easy parking options. Very noisy bar and nightclub outside kept us awake until early hours of the morning. The towels were threadbare and had rips in them.
