good facilities, although indoor pool was closed for renovations. View from bar on 14th floor is spectacular, although so are the prices at +-E10 for a local beer. Staff throughout the hotel were super. Location is too far out from the centre. None of the mains attractions are within walking distance apart from the ferry terminals.Restauraunt prices and poolside prices are verty expensive.
The view from Top Bar Roof Terrace No transfer to and from airport. No breakfast included in price
Not on the expected level
Luxury hotel, great location, greatest view on the Bosphorus. I got a great deal moneywise as well.
Breakfast buffet was the same for 5 days .. Location is not near Taksim square (you need a taxi for tl 12)
nice hotel the smell of the hall and the reception area and the monet resturant when they serve the beakfast it smells like kitchen and when you get out trhe smell is still in your clothes!!
It was an amazing stay. Superb attention to detail, breakfast was amazing.
Staff very helpfull Everything perfect
The Scenery From My Room and From the Summit Bar @ 14th Floor 1- Food was not good. 2- It is far from the sites you need to visit in Istanbul
Good location close to city, quiet environment, bosphorus view in some rooms No free wifi and extremely high charges to have access, rooms needs refurb to compete in the five star class
Luxury hotel, great service, superb location, excellent breakfast buffet
The location, roof top terrace has stunning views, excellent music and friendly staff. Breakfast had a fantastic choice of foods. All staff were very helpful. Meze resturant food should be more rustic and more like a traditional Meze, though the food was tasty. I thought wine was a little expensive, or have a more varied price list.
The room was good and clean and well appointed. Spa was brilliant. Breakfast very good.overall a very good stay. The roof bar was shut renovations and the oher bar seemed to lack choice. But minor point as otherwise excellent stay.
good breakfast only. Old hotel, old furniture, rooms not clean well, you can find better hotels with the same rate.
Breakfast was great, but thats about the only good thing i can say. Wifi was way too unstable. Had to visit the common room in front of the elevator to get connected. Smoking from next room was passed onto our room making our stay painful. Staff didn't even ask whether we were smokers or not
Rooms are ok I had to change my room because the bathroom was full of water after a single bath, they made me wait for a long time like that
Our room was definitelly looking "tired",maybe some rooms have been refurbished and we were unlucky.
good breakfast poor sanitation of the pool
Free wireless internet and breakfast. The glass wall in the shower room was too small. I had to scoot myself on the shower side, or else the bathroom would be all wet.
Hotel in very nice place - middle of the city, metrobus (speed city bus) in 100 meter to hotel. Professional staff.
close to the business district prices, and staff attitudes
Location and design of the hotel and friendly staff. A minor thing, but the cleaning crew was a little noisy and you can hear them in other rooms next to you.
Rooms were nicely decorated and had many automated features. NOISE level was unbearable, I couldn't sleep all night due to SUPER LOUD music followed by a fight right outside my window. I ended up going to sleep around 6:00am. TV was nicely mounted on the wall, but hidden behind glass which made it unviewable; also TV size is too small for the room size, can't really see much from the bed. No breakfast facility on location.
The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Lobby was nice to sit in and relax after a hard day of sightseeing, and the free coffee was always welcome. I felt that the rooms were a little bit dark, and in fact the whole hotel was sub-optimally lit.
The W Istanbul is centrally located on the European side in Istanbul, with several shops and restaurants just around the corner, Nisantasi is also a short 10 minute walk away (exquisite shopping). Vogue, a rooftop restaurant and bar, is also a short 2 minute walk away. The hotel is clean, trendy and very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and service was excellent (sans the mini-bar items that I never used finding their way onto my check-out bill, which the staff swiftly removed). Would highly recommend the hotel to any solo travelers or couples. I would have liked for there to have been a salon and for the gym to have offered yoga classes (or any other sort of fitness class).
Location The room was not user-friendly. It looked like a party hotel designed for vary young people.
Excellent concierge service, design, lovely spacious rooms, attention to detail (maids turn the pillow during turndown from "Welcome" to "Sweet dreams" :-) bar and restaurant, terrific breakfast, location. Average reception staff: they charged (not just authorized) my credit card on check-in without asking for my consent and for higher amount than the accomodation costs were. The overcharged amount (not much but still...) was given me back on check-out in turkish lira, hardly needed on your way out of the country. Not a disaster but surprising.
I'd like stile and romantic design of hotel breakfast was so pour
Modern Terrible terrible terrible view , extermly dark , modern design but not soo good. verrry dark again and dull, over-priced for a hotel with no view whatsoever.
We nice hotel. Brand new, clean, nice staff. You will be charged for everything in the hotel except for the room (e.g. breakfast, bottle of water next to bed, etc.). Prices for the additional items are high (breakfast = app. EUR 25, bottle of water/coke = EUR 6)
all staff were very helpfull and easy to communicate with them in english quick survice bathroom area wasnt that comfortable, shower only with out a bathtop wasnt enough.
I mostly liked everything
Breakfast was great! Location was great and so was cleanliness!
The view at the Bosphorus from the terrace of the hotel. Due to the traffic it's very hard to reach the hotel between 3 and 6 pm. It took us several times about 2 hours to get from downtown (blue Mosk, topaki palace, bazaar, etc) back at the hotel.
Great Stafd very helpful with giving advice and arranging transportation. Great Turkish Bath, hot tub and steam room
Very close to Bosphorous and lively cafe, restaurant, street market area. Good breakfast. Small room. Long way to airport. Traffic sometimes came to a standstill outside.
Nice location directly on the Bosphorus in Ortakoy - great night life in the neighborrough
looking to the bridge and ortakoy camii room's bathroom
There were a few mixups with staff not understanding room service/bar order
Excelant location , clean, quaite, Price of the hotel , no promotins
the landscape from the window! the rooom was too small and hasn t balcony!
room design and bath cleaneness. iam thankful to the hotel since they upgraded me to better rooms ( coonecting rooms) no swimming pools.
the coolness of the ambient
It has a good location Staf were unhelpful, E.G. we asked for the airconditioning to be turned on and they said, 'open the window'
Low priced 4/5 star hotel Extremely noisy outside. Lots of traffic. Hard to sleep at night.
Location! We were not given the room as per the picture we booked in, we had to move rooms twice as the second room we were given the ac was not working and the third room was as horroible with filth on the carpets and the aircon was not working. My young daughter got sick as we found out her bed was totallay damp in the morning becuase she was sweating due to the the ac not working. We have hospitals bills to prove this. We were lied to during the course of our stay saying the ac was maximum and that it does not cool nany more than what is on our room. We found out next moring that the ac was not working and that they were working on fixing this problem. Have a video of this conversation as well. We were booked for two nites there we checked asap
Close to Bosphorus cruise and Ortakoy District only???? The hotel should be 3 or 2 stars not 5 stars was not good at all , and there is no ac and it was only fan and the Furniture very old and not Comfortable at all
Good value for money. Helpful and friendly. We had problems with the temperature regulation - it was impossibe the switch off the heating.
Rooms are very nice, all the staff are friendly and helpfull, location is very good but not on the sea side elevators was very old and not working properly, breakfast was weak in compare to other turkish 5star hotels
Good Location I was given a room 10 feet above a Music Band overlooking the pool.Music was so loud I could not hear the TV in my room? Reception said it will finish by 7.30 then at 7.30, said it will go on until 11-11.30. Changed room, AC was noisy so didn't sleep properly. Tried to call Duty Manager, got Reception, they were unhelpfull. Shower didn't work, had to call technicians to fix it. Called Guest Services to borrow Ironing board and Iron, Not Available, must use hotel Pressing service? Bad Experience, left next morning.
It was comfortable and in a convenient location. Any requests were dealt with promptly The air conditioning filter in our room needed changing - the air circulating was obviously stale
Close to bosphore Too noise even after midnight out of the hotel (traffic)
find it hard to believe that this hotel can be five star. It did not reflect five star standard. laundry service closes at 5 pm. room decor was equivelant to max four star and possibly three star
