The old world charm was amazing! Hotel employee at the front desk was extremely helpful with directions, obtaining Raptor basketball tickets, and the bike rental. Loved the free parking and the free breakfast each morning. Our stay was top-notch!

Great location (near subway), great facility (old mill, of course), fantastic buffets. Our room was too hot. We ensured fireplace was off - still too hot. We turned off, yes, entirely off, the thermosat in mid-December - still too hot. We then opened both windows in mid-December - still too hot. Ultimately I turned on A/C at 4 am.
It felt like home. Clean and bright rooms. Moxie's Restaurant was A++ .
The staff went above and beyond everything we asked, even when we just needed to know how to find restaurants and stores in the area. The suite was beautiful and absolutely comfortable, with one of the best beds we've found in a hotel, and the same could be said for the shower. With the close vicinity of the airport, landing planes fly quite close to the hotel frequently, and we noticed just how loud they were while we were unloading the car in the parking lot. We were concerned about how we'd be sleeping with such noise going on all night. Imagine our delight to discover that, once we were in the room, we almost couldn't hear the planes at all, unless we were listening carefully for them. Honestly, for the price, we were blown away to have a suite with a full kitchen included. Parking was complimentary as well. I can't say enough about this hotel. We will stay here again when we return to the Toronto area - no question about it Absolutely nothing.
The lobby was deorated for Christmas and the tree was beautifuly decorated. I was only there for 1 night, but I have visited this hotel before. I love the design and overall feel of the hotel and will visit every chance I get.. It is definately a great price point. The green apples on the floor that I was on were not there, but everything ele was perfect.

The location was convenient to the airport and major roadways to get you around Toronto, as well as down the street from restaurants, coffee shops etc. The hotel was great is all respects. The only thing I could recommend would be to include the price of parking ($7/day) included in the pricing on the website in order to get a better comparison against other properties.
Great facilities and staff were very attentive. Rooms are modern and recreation facilities are top notch.
The bar/Restaurant staff was more pleasant. Service was good there. Reception Staff seem to be bothered by answering questions or providing services. I felt that I was their work routine by simply check in and out. And when my daughter went to ask for snack food, that was not well received either. No eye contact, not bothered to answer with a smile. Seen better service at a 2 star hotel
Super comfortable beds; clean rooms
I really can't explain what I enjoyed about the hotel, the hotel was fine, clean, plenty of water pressure in the shower. A few chain restaurants are nearby. The Airport Shuttle is run by a third party and their scheduling means nothing, stood at the curb for an hour. The hotel is showing its age, but clean. They also use "Sleep Number Beds" which has never been a positive, its like sleeping on an air mattress.
Everything was very comfortable. Friendly helpful staff made this stay even better. Great location with good food choices within walking distance of the hotel. This trip was for business. Since I need to work with my computer and have many phone calls during working hours there are times that I rely on room service. Unfortunately the food was not up to par and the prices were high, especially for the lack in taste.
Staff were courteous and helpful. The booking process with kayak. I was charged in US funds and at no time during the booking process was that indicated. It was only after the booking was paid for and confirmed that I was advised the charges were in US funds. I would have paid much less booking directly with the hotel.

All the restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has little soundproofing, you can hear hallway conversations in your room.
The room was modern and my girlfriend and I enjoyed the ambience of it. The hotel is experiencing major remodeling, therefore parts of the hotel aren't complete (elevator, lobby, some floors) the stopper in my tub was literally just sitting in the tub and the towels smelled like cigarette smoke in which i hate. The overall stay was good and for the price i got it for I won't complain. They upgraded my to a suite on the top floor since it was my birthday. Towels smelled like Cigarettes, long metal stoppers from my tub was broken and could have been hazardous and the strickly 11a.m. check out times.

Clean and friendly. Good sound proofing for flight noise. No carpeting is a plus in cleanliness but did prove to be noisy thanks to guests upstairs. Sounded like they were throwing a ball to a dog or they had a super active toddler running about into the wee hours. Airplanes descending to land pass directly over the roof of the hotel. Excessive noise from upstairs guests.

Booked alarm call failed to materialise - crucial when catching a flight! Extremely noisy with poor insulation between the rooms. Breakfast not up to Best Western standard - plastic plates and cutlery with little choice of food. Jacuzzi - far too hot to even get into.

A sign indicating alternative parking would have been helpful . I was allowed to park in a valet spot - very appreciated!

Comfortable room, nice pool and a sauna. Hallway wallpaper was peeling and rugs stained; however, the hotel is in the process of renovating, and the room we had was very nice.
Cleanliness of the room; location Daily parking charges are much higher than other hotels in the area. Refrigerator in room that was to keep things cool, not cold, was actually hot some mornings.

Genuinely friendly staff made it a pleasure to interact with them. Would consider staying here again, based on the staff alone. Great breakfast choices. Evening receptions of appi's & non-alcohol bevy's (or paid for alcohol drinks) was a pleasant surprise. Restaurant options within walking distance. It seemed pillows were traded out mid stay, for perhaps new ones, which were too puffy. Certainly not a "stay breaker" though.
Bedbugs... Need I say more? The staff handled the situation quickly and professionally, so hats off to them for that. A exterminator was brought in within an hour, which is a great response.

The hotel is very close to the airport, and they have bus shuttles running until late. Staff very friendly, rooms big and comfortable. Everything you need from an airport hotel is here... rooms could be more sound proofed
The location was close to the airport since we had early flights and the shuttle was on time and efficient although the front desk did tell us we would not be making any stops but indeed make one stop at another hotel to pick up another couple. The bed was squeaky (recallit was room 207), which the front desk acknowledged and apologized for. However it was the cleanliness of the bathroom that was more of a concern--the bench in shower with towel on it has some hair on it.

Room was great, modern, clean with all the amenities a business traveler needs. I enjoyed the extra space. breakfast was ok and the eating area is big and well appointed. The staff keep up with the flow of people so you should not have to wait for long to get something that ran out replenished. Parking is limited in front of the hotel. It shares the property with a Hampton Inn and the two are connected. They should have put the buildings farther back from the street and all the parking up front. Instead you have to park behind the Hampton Inn and you cannot get in their building form the back without a key. This means you have to schlep it back to the Homewood dragging your luggage round the long way. Front desk told me I should have pulled up, checked in and then moved my car. This is an option but its an extra step and when you get in tired you just want to roll in and check in and go up.
It is great to have a suite if you stay somewhere for more days. The suite was very clean and well cleaned every day. The staff were very friendly and during breakfast and dinner talked to us and were really interested to talk to the guests. Location was perfect seen as we wanted to look around the Toronto area and not only the city. Quiet location but still near shops and restaurants.

Rooms are specious and clean ,,bit noisy because of roaring plans as its very close to the airport. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Location is very close to airport, there is a bus station next to hotel. It takes 20 minutes by car to reach Toronto city center. because of the location close to Pearson airport , you can hear the noisy landing and taking off planes specially at very early morning.

It's is an inexpensive hotel with nice large suites and very reasonable services, reasonably priced breakfast, many restaurants in the neighborhood. Reasonable lobby. Reasonable bus service to terminals. They charge $15 per day for unprotected parking. The room had an odor of a plane's engine! There were minor problems with the room, bulb burnt, leaking toilet

It was clean. The staff is slow to address a customer. Two examples; two staff members were behind the counter while I arrived to check in, there was no one waiting in a line to be helped, it was just me. I stood there patiently for what seemed to be a longer than appropriate time to even be addressed, when I finialy had to say something such as "hello, can I check in?" The second example was the restaurant there within the hotel. It's an Italian themed place and after a long day of international travel, I just wanted to eat and then sleep. There was a hand written "sign" taped over the hours of operation that stated they would be closing at 9:00 pm. It was around 8:20-8:30 when I got there and I didn't want to trek out for a meal. NOT ONE RESTAURANT PERSON CAME OVER TO GREET ME. A kitchen worker saw me and we made eye contact, I was hoping that would have raised some concern on his end that a customer was standing there for over 5 minutes and still not seated. I left and headed to my room to get my rental car keys and midway down the elevator, I decided to try once more...only because I really didn't want to head out for a meal. The convenience of the restaurant within the hotel was appealing in this instance. When I arrived to ththe seating podeum, no one was there, but there was two workers near the bar, one of them rushed over and I asked if it was too late to get a meal. The rest of this experience at the restaurant was great.

Excellent Staff! Excellent! Helpful! It's a 1.5 star hotel room with 2.5-3 star bathroom. Only thing great about room is the bathroom. The hallways have no smoking sign but the entire hallway smells of smoke. & the air unit in the room is a 1 star unit.
I called the hotel many times to make sure that the pool and hot tub is open as it was my main purpose to stay at this hotel was for the hot tub upon arrival I asked if the hot tub and pool was open before I checked and they said it was so I checked in… When I went to use the hot tub they had caution tape and pylons around it and when I asked about it they said it was being cleaned and then a mechanic would not be in until Monday and I was checking out on Sunday Hot tub being closed !!!

We are a new immigrant family to Canada and at the airport had a slight change of plans, Comfort Hotel Team were very accommodating and we had a pick up from the airport as well. Rooms were very cozy and fit for a family of four with small kids. Was lacking in storage space, however this is understandable as its a short stay kind of place. WiFi and TV Channels were of very good quality. The coffee capsules and maker were of excellent quality. The housekeeping team was very polite and accommodating. Thank you very much for an enjoyable stay.

The location was fantastic. It was easy to find and had no trouble with parking. Staff was friendly. Has a lot of potential. The first room we were assigned had not yet finished being cleaned(and we checked in close to 10pm)...there was still garbage in the room, receipts on the table and the air conditioning unit was pulled apart. The next room we were assigned actually had tiny ants crawling all over the bathroom that was only discovered in the morning. When we went to the pool, I was shocked at the amount of sand at the bottom of the pool and the amount of hair and other debris floating around in the water and even an old rusty earing on the deck. I still feel sick to my stomach thinking about the stay.
I got to switch rooms Hotels had a terrible odor. Rooms were the worst but we had a trip booked for New year's And didn't wanna go through the castle of another hotel so we toughed it out. First trip to Canada and the hotel was are biggest issue.
no refrigerators in our room. That is a must for a hotel of that caliber. I've been in 2 other 3-stars hotels in the last 2 weeks, one which was much less expensive, and refrigerators were not an issue.
Good price No parking for hotel customers!
Decent hotel, comfortable updated room. Everything worked well, and a new/newer shower curtain. Plus, I heard staff discussing new curtain for other rooms, too. Hotel is under renovation. Carefully being done so as not to disrupt guests. Mostly, it doesn't disturb or get in the way of guests. Parking lot does need repaving but not impassable or unusable. No continental breakfast included with room charge---not end of world but a bit unusual.

Room was basically clean though there was half an English muffin that was lying behind the TV The concierge gave me trouble about wanting an airport shuttle immediately. She said the shuttle only goes every 45 minutes and I should have booked in advance. Nobody told me when I checked in that I needed to book the shuttle. She said the shuttle goes only every 45 minutes and I could leave 20 minutes later with the people who had booked it for then, or take a taxi which would have cost me $30, even though the driver was already in the lobby. Finally I convinced her to have the driver take me immediately. If we hadn't spent 5 minutes arguing about it, I bet the driver would have been there and back in 20 minutes. I wouldn't stay at a place so far from the airport that doesn't offer immediate shuttle service on request. There was another quality suites a lot closer to the airport. In fact my shuttle coming in had to pick up people from there because they went to the wrong hotel. One even said he thought he had booked the other one. Finally the room I was in only has one accessible power outlet on the opposite side of the room. In this day and age, each hotel room should be equipped with several power outlets by both the night stand and desk for customer use. If I had to charge more than just my phone, I would have had to sacrifice lights or the alarm clock. I didn't watch TV at all, but the TV was also an old CRT. Most hotels I've stayed at recently, even low budget ones, have upgraded to newer TVs.
Took more than an hour and a half from time I called them for airport pickup to the time they actually dropped me off at the hotel. Hotel room stunk of tobacco even though it was a non-smoking room. Relatively dirty facility. Restaurant was closed by the time I arrived due to their delay and no other food available in the area.
food was decent, room was spacious when we arrived i called for the shuttle from TPA and the guest service agent treated me like i should know where to get the shutle, not very good for a first time traveller to the hotel. Then the shuttle was directed to the wrong area and we had to wait another 20 minutes or it to arrive after a second call. once there, the internet based reservation system was down so check in took about 10-12 minutes; and after a 12 hr flight and the delay w the shuttle this seemed like forever. Once checked in we proceeded to the room which was very spacious but there was a dark stain on the curtain and the hotel info book was filled with writing and drawings from a past guest, the room was very old looking. We did check out easily and the shuttle was on-time; however when we were on the flight home we realized that we had forgotten n umbrella, which was a gift; and when i finally could call the hotel they could not find it in the room; which was the last place we saw it. Overall this is a very cheap hotel and if you are only concerned with being frugal, go for it. The staff i dealt with, all but one; seemed to act like they didn't have the time to explain things to you or that you weren't a priority. As a former worker in the industry i found this very unprofessional and i would not stya here again if i had another choice of hotels. It certainly did not live up to the standard of a Quality Hotel.

all though we got a great discount through kayak, I didn't feel it was worth the savings. Check in & check out very un personable and un welcoming; Front desk doesn't answer when you call; Hotel smells musty Room smells like urine covered with strong deodorizer. Linens and one face cloth had body hair on them Urine in elavater No pool No mini fridge in room Good things; we didn't pay the full 100.00+ rate they charge & close to 401. Also air conditioner is loud and blocks out noise.
Where do I start? The first thing I noticed was that the carpets were filthy. I refused to take my shoes off. The bathroom had not been cleaned appropriately. The room smelled of smoke and dare I say alcohol perhaps?!? As I arrived after midnight and had a conference the next morning I had decided that I would try my best to 'turn a blind eye to things' as I really just wanted to get some sleep. I checked the bedding and it appeared to be okay....until after the lights were out. That's when I felt them. Something was crawling up my leg. I jumped out of bed and turned on the light and found 2 bed bugs. I investigated again more thoroughly and was so disgusted that I didn't bother to count. I packed my personal belongings as quickly as I could and got out of there. The front desk staff were terrible. No apologies. In fact, they kept on accepting new guests. Is this not a health code violation. I could go on and on but I'll stop there. Worst hotel experience ever. Lesson learned.
The price was acceptable The staff was bad, the walls were paper thin and the bed was a rock. I waited at the restaurant bar for a $7 for 20 minutes. I finally gave up, went upstairs to order room service. Nobody answered and it went to a voicemail NOT to take my order, but to leave my room number and name for them to call me back. After 1 hr of no calls I finally gave up on dinner.

Good price for the hotel using the KAYAK pricing. The bed was comfortable. Room was a non-smoking room but there was a strong odour of the cleaning solvent that was used to clean it. Some room features did not work, TV was missing channels, 1 of the phones failed to operate and the toilet was broken. You could hear people in the halls walking by and talking.

Price was excellent, 73.00 after taxes. Staff was friendly and professional. The air conditioning unit was loud, but I brought earplugs so I had a great sleep. Hotel is located close to the 401 so I was able scoot quickly any where I wanted to. I will use Kayak again.
After a 23 hours trip it was a piece of heaven to stay at the Crowne Plaza. It was sensational.

It's located just under the landing airway of the Pearson International Airport : very noisy, planes are very close and there is plne every 120 seconds... It's 14CAD instead of 12CAD to park your car.
The staff was helpful, especially the airport transportion chap who got me access to a phone book in the computer room when there was not one in our hotel room No phone book in room. When asked at front desk about near by restaurants he only recommended the oen in the hotel. Did Not view reviews on web site

Beautiful decor with the abundant wood carvings as art pieces on the foyer walls plus on elevator door frames added an elegant toch to the hotel You are asking reviewers to not post adverse comments in this box yet do not provide for same elsewhere so I will post a minor complaint here.My complaint is that I noticed in the fine print on the sign-in sheet something to the effect that I would receive the Globe and Mail newspaper for $0.75 unless I declined by signalling same on the form.I did not read it carefully but thought I accepted the offer.Nexr morning ,there was no newspaper for me outside my door.While it's possible some one nicked my copy,the other ,more gnawing thought is that it was not delivered.Now,if I misread the agreement I signed to receive it for $0.75,please let me know.Regardless,I'll be a lot more careful reading that section next time I'm booked into your hotel.
The cleaness The fort desk will never give you the informetion that u need and I booked with breakfast and yet I paid the breakfast that I alredy paid with the room,,, and they never reinversed me back .
there was no heat and when we told them, the manager didn't even come to see us. they just gave key to maintenance guy and he told us to go to a different room. in the other room the hair dryers didn't work. I didn't like it at all.. they didn;t even offer us anything for our troubles. on top of all this i got sick.

Hotel offers free breakfast which covers a variety such as toast, cereal, muffins, pastes, etc. even hot cakes, yogurut. They have Globe and Mail for free distribution and free movies like hbo.

Room was exceptionally clean. Beds and pillows were clean and extremely comfortable. Free on site parking was a plus. Easy access to expressways to downtown Toronto. At booking I requested a first floor room due to medical issues and this was not honored. They did, however, help with getting luggage to and from room and did not accept a tip for doing so.
Very good value for the money. Room was well maintained and comfortable. Continental breakfast had more choice than we had expected also Only downside was we were put in what was termed a "single" room, meaning one queen bed instead of two. That meant there was only one reading lamp beside the bed.

I very much liked the ease of access (and free parking), the substantial breakfast, the comfortable bed and additional space for working at a desk or relaxing on the sofa (not that I had much time to do this). I also found it very quiet as well.In addition the location suited me very well.
The location was great for what we needed Had 3 rooms between the 6 of us and 2 had to switch rooms the first night at 4 am because one of them got bit by a bed bug. No mattress covers oj the beds... Their first room had a plastic bag over the smoke alarm and the window was broken so it would open wider than it should have. Another room had the used soap bar and shampoo bottles from the previous occupant still in the shower which obviously wasn't cleaned and the 3rd room only had 1 towel in it...
Definitely geared for the traveller transiting to/from the airport.
It was close to the Airport. Free shuttle Bus After a long drive, we were ready to get to our motel room, however the desk clerk told us there was no booking for us. And we even gave her the confirmation number from Booking,com. She then told us to go check it again on the computer, We had no idea what to do, My husband how is terminally ill, had to go back to the desk and ask for help. Finally another clerk came to help us. Printed the confirmation from my e-mail. Which i had already given the first clerk. The problem was due to the hotel staff not updating their bookings. We were not impressed. Secondly the service at the resturant was poor. After being seated we had to wait several minutes for service in the morning. Finally we got up and left. Would book at another instead.
Excellent customer service! Rooms are extremely clean. Exceeded expectations and very close to the airport! Great prices! I will be back!
We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Airport East. The service was top notch as all the employees made a real effort to please us. We noticed that their great customer service was experienced in all of the areas of the hotel. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious with all the amenities. The best feature is their 24 hr. Perkins restaurant. We were able to have a fantastic breakfast at 4:30 in the morning before heading to the airport. They have a free shuttle that runs every 1/2 hour so it just worked out perfectly for us. We travelled with our 2 boys, 8 and 3 and I must say; between the pool and the games room we were able to keep them quite busy. I would certainly recommend this Holiday Inn; it was a Great Stay! Thank-you
Overall Good Value, they had a nice restaurant onsite and a beautiful indoor pool No everyything was great.
Good location near major highways, near the airport, Perkins restaurant had very delicious breakfast, staff was great, attended to us right away. Price was great too.
Great locations and having a 24 hour Perkins Restaurant at the hotel was extremely convenient as I had to leave for an early morning meeting.
Rooms newly renovated. Everything other than the room was in a state of complete chaos. The walls were torn off, there was exposed mould, there were exposed wires... crazy. I've never seen anything like it in an open for business.. business. In the room, it looks like they got an awful contractor. Everything was nice, but just slightly off. e.g. the heat would not turn off, the shower door rolled open on its own, etc.

location and cost 1. No three prong power outlet for laptop just a two prong extension cord from behind the TV center. 2.The shuttle bus badly needed engine repairs. The fumes inside the bus were sickening.

Very affordable and better then most hotels that cost double the price! Clean, attractive looking hotel with a great price very comfortable stay would recommend. Only stayed for layover stole in Toronto but couldn't ask for any better

Free WIFI Two of the front desk staff were on the phone ignoring that i was there waiting for a while to checkout. I been in many Travelodge hotels particulary in The States and I had free continental breakfast while this one didn't have and I was expecting too.
The rug was dirty, there were not enough covers on the bed...froze all night, and the internet didn't work.

Location, comfort and cleanliness, good sleep were all quite satisfactory. Prakag at the front desk seemed to be very deceptive and maliciously misleading in his information to my wife and I. We had a confirmed reservation for May 4th. 2016. However he directed us to phone the reservation agent to cancel our reservation for that date, because he was unable to guarantee it. For reasons unknown to us he was apparently deliberately and maliciously attempting to mislead us. Fortunately another hotel staff upon checking out on April 20th confirmed our reservation for May 4th, but at a higher rate. We were terribly disappointed.
I have never had to pay an additional fee to park at the location I am already paying to stay at. absolutely ridiculous! and no shampoo or conditioner in the rooms. you will have to pay for every extra little thing you will need if you stay here. and my air conditioner didn't work. they sent someone to fix it who managed to turn on the fan to blow the hot air around. the hall was cooler than my room. very uncomfortable stay. additional fee to park on site no toiletries broken air conditioner
