Fordele: "Once aboard the plane, all went well and I experienced excellent service from the cabin attendants."
Ulemper: "The flight was delayed (again!) for some 40 minutes and I was worried that I would miss my connection flight in Atlanata. Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"
Ulemper: "At the check in they made me pay 50€ for my luggage. This is really upsetting because from Houston to Venice they didn't make me pay. Either the website wasn't transparent or the lady at the desk made a mistake. Very upsetting, one luggage should be included."

I felt like I was being tortured and didn’t sleep at all and so slept when getting into Amsterdam rather than being able to explore the city. I was out $200 for the Airbnb (could’ve stayed in the airport cheaper) and $200 for a dinner cruise I slept through. NEVER AGAIN"

Fordele: "Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too."

"Special meal was good (Asian Vegetarian), but that was the only meal for 6 hours. Luckily I had eaten lunch at the airport before boarding at 13.40. And waiting about 2 hrs in flight before meal service. Tea and coffee was served together with the meal, but there wasn’t enough space on tray to have both the meal, the included tiny water bottle, the meal drinks and coffee/tea. Other airlines serve tea at the end of the meal. It was clear Etihad just wanted to get the meal service over with and minimize the service. This was the only time during 6 hrs that the staff showed themselves. Otherwise no pre dinner drinks of any kind, no follow-up serving of at least water This was really one of the most terrible meal and drink services I have ever experienced on - 6hr flight. The food itself was nice - due to special order. On the outbound flight (AUH - BRU) they did serve a meal and an extra snack. And followed up with several rounds of water. Shame on you Etihad for terrible service. The Dreamliner 781 is spacious in etihad’s economy configuration. Their 787 economy (AUH-BRU) was much more cramped!!"
"First, you should know that the flight has been canceled and I am stranded. The fact that you do not have any information on this flight cancelation is so absurd and disturbing. Second, It is impossible to reach Etihad via phone so we have been on hold for hours."

Ulemper: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

Ulemper: "Everything else was not close to other comparative airlines. Food was horrible. Just FYI, cottage cheese is not the only food for Asian vegetarians. There actually are many other options. Not enough options for entertainment. The seats for economy class were way too crammed. With the growth in technology, it would be helpful to have a USB port to charge. ELL phones."

Ulemper: "In both directions, check in took forever and I was unable to check in online beforehand. The first flight, I waited 1.5 hr (perhaps that is the general experience from JFK) and in the other direction, at least 1 hr."

Ulemper: "The Connecting flight from Dubai to New Delhi was full of chaos. You should consider females seat priority while allocating the seats. I was so uncomfortable sitting with a person who was drinking whisky repeatedly and also please take care of the smell in the aircraft , it was really bad in the flight from Dubai to N Delhi Juice should have some more options"

Fordele: "The Airbus A321 flight was much more comfortable than the 1st leg. The service again was good"

Ulemper: "Since our custom and emigration checking was in Abu Dhabi, in Chicago, the flight used a domestic terminal. For our final leg of the flight, we had to haul all six pieces of luggage from terminal 5 to terminal 3. Then we were told that our American Airlines flight from Chicago to Kalamazoo is not a valid one. So we were booked to a different flight 12 hours later. We had to stay in Chicago for 12 hours on our own. Neither Etihad nor American Airlines provide any support for that time period in Chicago. Since it was Etihad ticket, According to international norm, Etihad should take the responsibility for this problem and compensated passengers."

Ulemper: "Even thiugh i paid for first class , i was made to wait for 30 minutes while economy passengers boarded. Many of them arrived after me. Other first class flights allow you to eat when you want. not this one. i slept through their mealtime - no food for me. the seats also do not recline fully. Since the treatment is not first class, might as well fly economy on this one."

Ulemper: "Someone broke lock of my luggage. It was locked when i checked in atJFK airport. I got the luggage without lock at New Delhi. Though there was nothing valuable in that but still someone tried to get something out of it."

Ulemper: "only served breakfast shortly after 8am take off .no other meal served.arrived Abu Dhabi 7pm. kept having to ask for drinks."
Fordele: "The flight from AMM to Abu Dhabi was excellent. Movie selection was excellent. Everything was excellent. The flight from Abu Dhabi to Muscat was so so. It might be due to the short duration."
Ulemper: "Movie selection, sound system, seat and window shades on the Jordan to Abu Dhabi flight."
Fordele: "Meals are served promptly and on a regular basis. Selection of entertainment is good but needs updating."
Ulemper: "Boarding was a chaos at the Abu Dhabi airport, they were just calling out for the Business Class and passengers who are disabled and those who are travelling with children to board first when everybody came to line up. Nobody from the ground staff even asked them to give way for those who are boarding first or announced what zone are they boarding next. Also, i used the mobile app to check in, i am definitely sure i chose an isle seat (you can see it on the seat map during online check in) but i was surprised to see that i got a window seat."

Ulemper: "The seats on the 777-333 model in economy class are the WORST I have ever experienced. Extensive neck and back paid from cramped and poorly designed seats. You are going to start losing passengers, including this one who will switch airlines. A glass of wine was so cheap and acidic I found myself running to the bathroom within 15 minutes. The food was horrible. Goodbye Etihad--I can do better."

Fordele: "Good entertainment options although the screen/controller seem outdated and unresponsive. I would suggest not shutting off the entertainment while on the ground or too early (shut off an hour before landing)"
Ulemper: "My biggest complaint would be that we waited on the plane for over an hour and a half in Mumbai for late passengers. This caused a ripple effect which made us miss our arrival spot and have to wait an additional 30 min on the plane once we landed. You should never make 400+ people sit on an airplane for 2 additional hours (for a 3 hour flight) because a few passengers did not plan well and were late. That logic was insane to me and incredibly frustrating. That is my only complaint that would actually make me think twice about flying Etihad again. The crew seemed annoyed anytime I'd ask for water. A more western food option would be nice rather than just 3 options of rice and curries. Also the food timing did not line up well (eating fish at 9am)."

Ulemper: "The comfort for a long haul flight is never great, but the seats were exceptionally small and cramped (and I am a small person). The in flight internet I purchased but was unable to use after being charged for more that one email -- it went out and stayed out. $22 down the lost unless I can get refunded, which I have requested. If Etihad doesn't refund me, I will be taking it up with Paypal as well as other review sites and business channels."
