Ulemper: "12 of January, 2018 Dear Austrian Airlines authority, I address to your kind attention to asist me to get to me the hat qhich I lost on board of the flight 1576 when I arrived to Vienna airport on my way frpom JFK to Lwo. It happened because it was no room above my seat's bin and the steard helped me to get my heat in another bin. Unfortunately I forgot at the moment when I left the board of the plane, a minute later I reminded that I forgot my hat but I was not allowed to go back and get my hat. I tried to communicate with the Lot&Found office in Vienna airport as I had 2h40 minutes in connection time and it was enough time to get me back the hat, unfortunately nothing was really done from the airport staff to get me my hat and made to me possible continue traveling with my hat. I spoke to two managers, the name I could share with you if you need. The Found office registered my black hat and the plastic box under the number F2018/000682. In this situation I ask your offices to deliver my hat and the plastic box to Lviv airport as sson as possible as this is a special hat for my daily prayers. I wish you best and ask for your kind assistance to send the item as soon as possible with the nearest flight. Sincerely, Meylakh Sheykhet"

Ulemper: "Upon boarding, the agents in the airport gave us a hard time over a bag that definitely met carry-on requirements. Almost made us check it, and then changed their mind last minute. Very unnecessary/dramatic situation, especially since we flew with that bag via carry-on multiple times (and on even smaller planes)."
Fordele: "The seats were comfortable considering they were middle seats. The food was quite good and the entertainment selection was also good."

Ulemper: "I bought economy class ticket! (I have a printout ticket as proof!) When I went to the airport i had a VERY UNPLEASANT surprise. I had a 23kg bag. Bording stuart said that my ticket is ECO LIGHT class and I don't have the right to any baggage. Worst thing of all was that the reason of my trip to Paris was my sister's graduation and half of the baggage was my formal wear and other half were presents for my sister! Your lack of transparency ruined one in lifetime special event- MY SISTER'S GRADUATION. I am very glad that you asked me for my opinion because I am using my free time to demand full refund, even tough the damage is much bigger than the cost of the ticket and it's irreplaceable."

Fordele: "The woman who checked in my baggage was very helpful and patient. I had to re-arrange some weight and she assisted me in maximizing weight and minimizing cost. The flight attendants we very kind in trying to assist me in finding appropriate food. The flight was very comfortable and the flight attendants were wonderful all-around."
Ulemper: "Boarding of the flight was delayed which impacted our arrival time in Zurich. I had a connecting flight- but so did at least 10 other Swiss flights at that time. The queues for customs were incredibly long and the only reason I made my flight was because I ran through the airport. I also had a challenging time with food. I am celiac and often cannot eat the standard fare on planes. I called in advance of my flight to notify someone of my allergy - and they told me the only way I could ensure such a meal was by purchasing a meal that cost $30. I was not willing to pay such a hefty surcharge for food because I had already payed a bit extra than budgeted because my partner had recommended the excellent service of Swiss. I have traveled on several airlines for intercontinental flights between Boston and Europe - and have always had my allergy accommodated at no extra cost. Once on the flight - I was offered an orange and banana for dinner and a small yoghurt for breakfast. I will be flying Swiss again in December and I sincerely hope they will be better equipped to provide for my dietary requirements."
Fordele: "Crew was professional and attentive. 55 minute flight so food was ice cream, beverages, and a piece of Swiss chocolate. Plane's entertainment system in my section did not work. I had to check my carry-on!"

Fordele: "There was a half hour delay due to some no-show passengers. The flight was delayed while their bags were removed. The problem was explained well. The flight crew seemed to made up for much of the delay by flying faster or more directly so the total flight time did not increase by 30 minutes. Fortunately this was our final flight segment so the delay was not a problem."

Ulemper: "Service was okay and the seats were horribly uncomfortable. Not what I remember from Swiss when I use to fly constantly with them 2 years ago. Also, I was singled out by the crew at the gate and pulled aside. Racially profiling at its finest."

Ulemper: "At LHR terminal 2, same gate A, B, for 2 different flights which lead to confuse many passengers. Better signing and Public Announcement is needed. Queuing 1:30h for tax refund is totally unacceptable and leads to give up to claim your rights."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed. There was a terrible backlog in Security at Frankfurt Airport. This is not Lufthansa's fault but considering how important Frankfurt is, you would think the airlines would say something. The flight was late. There were no proper queues for boarding. Everone was mixed up, business, gold card, economy, and only one person doing the chekcing of boarding passes. It was not the best process."
Ulemper: "Our flight was 9 hours late. We were given no notice of this until we arrived at the gate. it took an hour if holding before we could reach customer service. Customer service at our arrival gate was extremely slow. Baggage claim closed before my daughter’s luggage was released and it was lost until the next day. Our connecting flight was booked incorrectly do we had to spend the night in Frankfurt. Our 13 hour flight took 29 hours. The food was awful."

Ulemper: "Flight was late causing me to miss flight to Chicago ORD. Missed flight left me waiting in Frankfurt over-night with-out a hotel, nor anyone from Lufthansa to assist with finding a sleeping cot. No airport/Lufthansa staff would offer to bring me a cot and all attempts by me to locate a cot were unsuccessful leaving me to walk from area to area to locate were the cots were stored. Ten Euro meal compensation was severely inadequate to cover dinner and breakfast. Very dissatisfied."

Ulemper: "The flight left with a slight delay. As I boarded, I was issued a new seat in the middle, as opposed to the window seat I had selected. There was zero explanation for this change. When I approached the flight attendants about it, with a smile on my end, I was offered the equivalent of a shrug. As I gave up, I was also informed there was no more room in the overhead bins, so not only did I end up sitting in the middle (which I loathe), but also with my carry-on under my feet. I’ve always been a fan of Lufthansa, but I’m a little disappointed this time around."

Ulemper: "We waited over an hour for two people to board the plane. After we waited, the couple didn't make it past security; so, we had to wait another 20 minutes for the company to take their luggage off of the plane. I was late checking into my hotel, which was in the process of being canceled."

Muffin for breakfast was mediocre as well -tv was good, but touch screen sometimes doesn't work."

Ulemper: "My first flight with Austrain Airlines was 2 hours late in leaving, partly because they mixed our baggage up and had to have each of us leave the airplane to identify our baggage before getting back on again. Because of this, I missed my connecting flight in Zurich. Apparently hundreds of other passengers were in a similar situation, because I spent the next 6.5 hours standing in line to getting my new itinerary and hotel vouchers."
Fordele: "It was a total nightmare all Austrian flights they put us on were canceled !!! We did not leave Vienna for another 7 h a total nightmare all planes had technically difuculties !! Austrian airlines had total chaos !!!"
Ulemper: "more than one hour delay, crew didn't arrange anything for passengers who had to catch a connecting flight in a short time. And according to other passengers, Austrian's flights are always late for at least 30-45 minutes since recent years."

After i got up i requested if i could get some water and they said they cannot. Finally a co passenger gave me her bottle of water. I ended up actually breaking my leg"

Fordele: "If you have to fly coach, this was the way to go. The star were lovely, plane clean, food was good. Very nice flight from LAX to Vienna."

Ulemper: "Very confusing boarding procedures. In Vienna they would check you at the gate to make sure you are in but keep you standing for a long time. I am not sure what happened but food was barely edible: breakfast eggs were like rubber and Lunch was served with a tiny sandwich. For a 10 hour flight it was not even sufficient"

Ulemper: "Check in at Vienna airport was awful! Chaotic, no help! Kiosk software was horrible. Touch screens didn't work. No back button so, if you made a mistake you had to start from the beginning. Passport reader was not working properly. Machines were slow and delayed in responding. Not enough staff available for assistance. Arrival at LAX was even worse. Plane had to taxi for 30 minutes all about the airport runways. Finally got to a gate -almost on the beach! Then had to bus everyone to main terminal. Slow in getting bags to the passenger pickup. It took us 2 hours post touchdown to get out of the airport! Almost missed the airport shuttle,"
Fordele: "In general, I like the on board food of Austrian and especially in regard of Do&Co catering from Vienna Airport. Staff was not to trying this time but service was still okay."
Ulemper: "The Senator Lounge at Vienna Airport is very poor, food selection is very limited and it is obvious that the focus is on cost saving. Another disadvantage is that the lounge only opens at 5.30am in the morning but first flight already leave Vienna around 6am. Mine was at 7.05am which meant that I just arrived when the lounge opened and I had to wait in a long cue. Boarding was due to the limited space in front of the gate a mess, priority boarding was announced but I was not made sure that priority passengers board first. The seats on board are for business to small and there is not even space to hag up the coat."

Ulemper: "We had to stand around for a long time waiting for a bus to take us to the plane. The bus was horribly crowded. Then we arrived at the plane and had to walk up the stairs to get on. There was no food served---just a cracker and some juice or water. After we arrived in Paris we waited a long time for the baggage to arrive."

Fordele: "I loved the boarding process. Everything was very organized! I was lucky to sit by myself next to the window, so i had plenty of space to stretch. The flight was right on schedule, so i didnt have to worry about making it to the next flight. Food was good. We were offered the water through the whole trip which is nice, because i always feel super dehydrated on the plane."
Ulemper: "I wasn't very satisfied with the flight attendants. I don't know if its just me getting used to american customer service, or me actually working at the customer service, but it's definetely not the greatest level of service. Girls were giving me an attitude and "smartie" ( in a rude way) responds which kinda made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I had the same experience with Lufthansa before. And once with russian airlines. Maybe its some kinda tendency to get erogant at this job, but please, don't get me wrong, its not that kinda job where you should look at people from above"

Ulemper: "Someone from the airlines needs to help people transferring at Paris airport. I was sent to three different terminals (which required two different bus transfers) to get to my United flight to the states. I had been warned by a friend that the Paris airport is the worst. It is! And the airlines should bear some responsibility for the lack of clear information. I could write about this for a long time."

Ulemper: "The chicken dinner was not that great and the breakfast was only a muffin, I expected more. On Turkish airlines flight from Ord to Istanbul we got a full breakfast tray."

Ulemper: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Ulemper: "KLM lost my luggage during the layover. My luggage didn't arrive even after the next flight to Prague. Customer service wouldn't give me any idea what flight my luggage would arrive on, nor would they tell me what time my luggage might be delivered to me."

Ulemper: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Ulemper: "My check in luggage was in very bad condition when I receive it. My clothes were all wet and they got bab by each other’s colour. Many clothes are not in a condition to wear now. Those were expensive and I had a big loss because of that."

Ulemper: "the connection flights was the worse! The gate was changed in Amsterdam 3 times! From D82 to C6 and then to C11. The distance between B82 and C was 20-30 minutes walk. No rushing was needed though, the flight was delayed for 1:30h and after we all boarded a further delay was announced. I will never fly with KLM."

Ulemper: "I paid €60 extra to sit in the emergency door seat to get more leg room but once.i was in the plane learned for more leg room I accepted a smaller seat next to a bathroom and no entertainment. I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Ulemper: "Again, no aisle seat for SkyTeam Gold member. Also, my baggage was lost. First bag arrived a day late, second after I had left Billund and it was six days before the bag with my clothes reached me. I was told I will have 100 euro credit for clothing, but in the winter and for 6 days, this was not even close to the amount I needed for clothing and necessities, to have my time here."
Fordele: "Pretty basic one hour flight so there's not much to complain about or praise about. I got some sleep which was good."
Ulemper: "The crew had their general Dutch aloofness on form. Chatted to one of the stewardesses in Dutch up until she saw I had a British passport then she decided she could only speak English to me."

Ulemper: "KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Also, really tired of the fake business class on these flights..."
Fordele: "The very dirty plane was cleaned at Dar-es-salaam and became less dirty. The pilot kept us updated periodically through the flight. The flight attendants were very pleasant."
Ulemper: "The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."
Fordele: "Timing & efficiency. Good food though only a sandwich."
Ulemper: "Nothing. Could say there was no entertainment but I didn't want entertainment on such a short flight"

Basic flight. No food, no entertainment but everything was smooth as expected.
It had a good range of movies but the flight map was broken at my seat. I tried both online and by calling to request a menu and the wait to speak with someone was 45 minutes, and there was nothing on line that allowed me to choose a meal option. The plane was small and all seats were taken. After the meal there were incredibly long lines for only two toilets. Finally, SAS lost our luggage, which can of course happen, but there were more than 50 people waiting around at the carousel and nobody from SAS came to tell us the truth. Finally news trickled back to us by word of mouth and when we got to the SAS baggage consigne, there was only one SAS woman working there and she refused even when asked to announce to us what had happened so we would have some idea. Instead she told someone who told someone else and again by word of mouth we found forms to fill out about who we were and where we were staying. I stood in line for 45 minutes and only then would she explain the luggage had been left in Copenhagen but would arrive that night or the next day--something she could easily have shared with the group instead of leaving everybody in the dark. And at no time did another SAS official or staff member come to help all of us standing there, some of the group waiting with no news for 2 hours when the SAS lady knew full well what had happened. It is shameful. Will never fly SAS again.
SAS seems to like setting up flights that aren't ready to take off and then causing passengers to have to go through multiple transfers to get to their destination. The transfers also don't include the upgrades you paid for previously if their with a different airline. It is better to pay the extra hundred or so dollars to fly with an actual proper airline like Air France. Expect surprises if going with SAS.
I booked through Justfly.com and had to cancel the flights due to the new Omicron virus. The airline (Scandinavian Airlines) told me to get in touch with the agency as they could not do anything. However, its been completely impossible to get a hold of the agency by phone (I called them twice and stayed on the line for more than 1h without getting through), and you cannot reply to or send them e-mails. I cancelled the flights, for which I paid about $1,500 to be on the safe side so they would not think I just missed them, and for that they charged me $60 (!!!), so anything they can charge you for online works, but everything else does not. Absolutely horrible customer service.
No covid safety. Keep distance apparently don’t count when you onboard or in the bus from gate to/from plane. Could hardly move. And late again, again, again. Seems to be the new norm.
They let us board without checking our documents. We thought we had everything but then when we got to the stockholm airport, the immigration office wouldn't let us pass and we've been stuck here, unable to leave, we've missed our connection as well. The document that was invalid was our US vaccine certificate (Moderna, double vaccinated by May 2021). The Swedish government doesn't see it as valid. So SAS should have stopped us from boarding the flight when they checked our vaccine card at the New York airport. Horrible experience.

Fordele: "The SAS flight was fine. My dissatisfaction was with the company that booked my ticket which I found through a Kayak search. When booking, there was no information about luggage and I ended up paying for it at the airport. This should clearly be declared in the online booking process."

Ulemper: "Et halvtomt fly med en aldrende besætning der klart havde været for længe på arbejdsom kun havde fokus på at blive hurtigt færdige med pligterne så de kunne komme til at pludre med hinanden."

Ulemper: "Priority passangers cannot board with their non priority partner, even on the sane reservation. Congratulations sas, only airline workdwide to prohibit this. Otherwise, also forgot my duty free bag at the gate and the crew refused to have me return for it or get it for me."

Der var også en større flok amerikanske gæster som dog valgte at feste igennem på turen - da jeg vågnede var personalet godt trætte af alle passagerer og da jeg ville have lidt i pantryet var det pakket ned 2 timer før ankomst - sikkert for at lukke førnævnte fest - men det retfærdiggør vel ikke at de øvrige gæster også har indløst billet til business og den service der betales for."

Ulemper: "Men hvorfor annoncerer man at flyet skal board 1 time inden det sker, så passagererne kommer til at stå i kø unødig lang tid. Flyveren var 1 time forsinket på Flightradar24 og også i virkeligheden!!! Det var ikke noget groundpersonalet ville ud med, så alle annonceringer gik efter tidsplanen - den originale med altså en times gap! SAS find jer en mere kvalificeret partner i Athen, da det er var helt hen i vejret og dårlig service."

Når der sættes reservefly ind af væsentligt lavere kvalitet end den vare, som man forventet køb, så bude der være en eller anden form for kompensation. Forøvrigt glad for jeg ikke havde indløst business på denne tur da det i grunden havde været at betalte dobbelt for forventelig komfort på en moderne SAS Plus."
