Ulemper: "Our grievance is with ground crew at BEY airport and AMM. 1 piece of lugagge was left in AMM though it was checked connecting from our previous flight. Upon arrival we were told they would contact us. After a long back and forth as we did not have a local number, they tried to dismiss us by saying someone would whatsapp us to let us know when the luggge has arrived. SPOILER ALERT: they never did. We insisted on finding out more and after being pressed they admitted they had received a note from AMM airport that the piece of luggage would arrive in the next flight (5 hours later). We returned later on and found we needed a special permit at BEY airport, only the person on the piece of luggage was allowed back in. Upon receiving the permit, staff continued to press for a name of who confirmed the luggage was there, we told them they had confirmed earlier. I was allowed inside and found the piece of luggage still on the belt though the flight had landed 3 hours earlier and the carousel was being used for another flight. Apparently they don’t bother to check or act on the messages until the end of the day. Finally, we had to argue to be compensated and received $30 USD for our troubles even though they should have offered this as standard practice."

Though it might be the most expensive usd/mile flown. not sure what mea's problem is."

Fordele: "I was flying from dubai to Beirut. On the 27th on January. There was heavy traffic on Mohammad bin zayed road. The traffic was literally closed. I went ahead of 4 hours. Got stuck. Reached 20 mns late. The gate was closed. There was no one in the office. I had to sit and wait for zero outcomes. I had to book another flight"

Ulemper: "There was a short delay on take off but we arrived on time. The only problem that I encountered half way into a long tiring flight, I lost the volume on the entertainment system. The stewardess tried to reset it but it didn't work. I was asked to change seats but it was too much of a hassle. Was a bit disappointed. Not there fault."

The boarding process was chaotic at the gate - customs were there to check in but quite a few people were unaware (not many announcements). Also, the Economy boarding process wasn't clear and chaotic (i.e., not by row and you also didn't know when you could board. Also, the person in front of me kept reclining her seat and it went back too far. I didn't want to do the same to the person behind me so it was quite uncomfortable."

Fordele: "The flights were Just as schedule, the arrival time was even earlier than planned. The crew is always available and tries to make the flight as comfortable as it can be. The food is brilliant in comparison to other airlines. To sum up, always a good choice. * this is my 8th flight with Swiss."

Ulemper: "Contrary to most experiences in Switzerland, the Swiss Air boarding process is a damn mess! Most airlines board by rows or boarding groups, but Swiss Air does none of that. As soon as first class is boarded, they open boarding to all seats, so it's like cattle boarding a train. With Swiss Air, don't wait to get in line - do it early to ensure you get carry-on storage near your seat."
Ulemper: "I paid for a seat on the aisle with extra leg room. Seat 24D. There was only minimal foot space because of some type of metal box under seat 23D. I don't think that I should had to pay $45 for the extra leg room just to receive cramped foot space."

Ulemper: "There was no indication of what line went where while in the boarding process. Nobody told us that we needed to get a blue stamp (??) on our boarding ticket, for what I still don't know. So then we needed to get in ANOTHER line and get the stamp and then stand in line AGAIN just to get on the plane! For being Swiss you'd think you'd have this part down AT LEAST! Boarding by seat number would have been a better idea. Everybody was all over the place getting their bags stored above."

I like the efficiency and punctuality . But all passengers were put in 1 bus for boarding and it was very crowded and no social distancing
More vegetarian options for food even in business class. The staff was excellent. Boarding can be messy. I would really appreciate it if Turkish starts to look for better eco-friend options. The amount of plastic produced by each meal and throughout the flight is insane.

Fordele: "Flights out of Kabul are generally filled with less-experienced travelers, so Turkish Airlines did the best they could with a planeful of new flyers. Entertainment system had some pretty good choices."
Ulemper: "There's a coronavirus outbreak going on. Just slow down, everyone. Take it easy. Slow down boarding. Slow down disembarking. Enable social distancing. Just slow down. We were packed into economy class, touched by every person walking past, bumped by every bag over every shoulder. Just take it easy. Let passengers try, even a little, to maintain a little social distance in economy class."

Fordele: "Walking past the Turkish Airlines desk in Dulles and knowing I would NEVER have to interact with these monsters again."
Ulemper: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

Ulemper: "I had to take flight from San Juan to JFK on Jet Blue seperate ticket that supposed to leave san juan 5:26 am and get to JFK at 9:18 am , Jet Blue got delayed 5 houres due to the weather , when i got to JFK i went to the counter of Turkish Airlines to re book on another flight , i was attended by Indian look manager , he was very very very nasty with me and he told that the Turkish Airlines had cancelled my ticket and his comment to me ( you boughtyour ticket socheap there fore you need to pay $1650 dollar for new ticket and there is not gurranted i will be takig the next scheduled flight and i have to waite for thenextday ) he was very nastuy, so i went to Emirates Airlines and i bought a new tickets for $1475 dollar and ileft JFKwithen twohours , now when i want to retune from Lebnon i caled Turkish Airkines and they had informed that they cancelled my return ticktes as well , when the plane was delayed in san juan Puerto Rico Jet Blue manager in San Juan call Turkish Airlines to exolaine the situatuion and the agent had confirmed that i will be rebbok on another flight. I lst my ticket with Turkish and i will never recommend this Airline to no one from now on. I,m asking if i can use the monry that i had paid if i can rebook future flight , please do something i lost my tickets with Turkish and i had to pay $1475 dollar on Emirates , NO one seems to care .I have all the proof thatJet Blue gave me the boarding pass on Turkish after the station manager in San Juan called Turkish and they authorized him to print my boarding pass ( i have it all) unfortunatly Turkish refused to helo. Fordele: "The whole experience was great. After an excellent meal which included drinks before and an excellent wine selection the flt attendants came through and made up a bed for you. This included a cover for the seat, a blanket and a big pillow. As opposed to United where you have to stick your feet in a little cubby the Turkish plane has just an open bench which opens to provide storage and gives ample foot room. I have never slept so much on a flt. Also he bathrooms are much more spacious than others."

Ulemper: "Couldn't check in online and because I booked pretty late, didn't get the seat choice I wanted. I purchased the flight via the Lufthansa site, but then on check-in, I found out that the first segment was SAS, so neither the Lufthansa site nor the SAS site let me check in online."

Ulemper: "We were put on standby. We expected our names to be called for seat assignments but we didn’t expect we could just swipe our boarding pass and our seat assignment would show. It’s a nice feature but I didn’t like that it wasn’t clearly explained to us."
Ulemper: "Had two stop over in Germany so they wont let me board stating need German visa. Requested for rerouting from FRA to USA direct, but lufthansa did nothing to help other than make me stranded had to travel with totally different airliner. Horrible experience with them..."
Ulemper: "Everything, lost luggage and missed flights because of flights not making their time."

Ulemper: "5 hour lay over in Frankfurt. Sandwiches are all the same 2 choices on all aircraft"

Ulemper: "Frankfurt Airport check lines too long. Only half of security checking stations opened. Hundreds waiting in line and the lines moved too slow. After passing the long lines of security checks, you come to passport checking stations. only 1 out of 3 available stations is manned. Again, lines too long and barely moving. Probably many missed their flights while waiting to go through passport checks. We lost almost 2 hours between security and passport checks. Airport personnel were unfriendly, they did show any care towards the hundreds that are herded like sheep in long lines. They could have eased this backlog of people by manning all their available stations but they did not. Will try not to go through this airport in the future."
Ulemper: "Gate changed ast minute so we had to walk a long way to get to it with 3 kids. Airplane with no entertainment at all. Also the worst was getting to Beirut without 2 of our bags. We got one of them 1 day later and the second 5 days after. When we got the second bag few of our things were gone."
Ulemper: "Departure was delayed causing me to miss my connection from Frankfurt to San Francisco."

Ulemper: "When in transit in Athens to a domestic flight they now require you to go through security again...bad news if you bought a bottle if something in your departure airport"
Fordele: "Crew was ok. Cabin was super hot and they never answered call bell for us to ask for water and to cool down cabin. While doing pre departure and pre landing safety checks . Flight attendant never caught fact that person in isle seat was blocking our row ( I was on window seat) with a huge back pack . Poor safety and cabin service by flight attendants ! U satisfactory ! And Very unsafe !!"

Ulemper: "The staff was super aggressive to put all handbags under the seat even with empty compartment bins. Once the big bags are in why should they be so mean of the compartments are still empty?"
Ulemper: "Boarded plane from front of plane back. I paid €18 extra for my seat and I was the last to board. My bag was taken from me because there wasn’t room and it was lost during my layover. Crew members were all scowling and not helpful."

Fordele: "The upgrade to business class was cheap. The air crew was friendly. I enjoyed the experience with the exception of my suitcase getting broken."
Ulemper: "The airline broke my suitcase and when I landed there was no one to talk to as the desk was closed since it was 230AM"

Ulemper: "The baggage machine at Athens that my friend used seemed to be faulty when the same bag was checked on another machine it was kilos lighter. But the ground staff at that machine a man was very rude to her."

Fordele: "Once we landed in Athens, knowing that our next flight would be taking off in 5 minutes, we thought ther was no way that we'd make it. Instead, they had someone waiting for us when we got off of the flight and someone to run all 11 of us through the airport to the plane. Aegean held the flight because they knew 11 people from the Santorini flight were coming."
Ulemper: "Once on the plane, we ended up sitting there for another 30 minutes, even though it was already 20 minutes late waiting for us. When I asked the stewardess whether that meant that our bags were going to make the flight she said she'd have to check. She never came back. I then asked a second girl and she said that she'd have to check and she never came back. I finally asked again before landing and she supposedly went and asked someone and came back and said yes they made it. Got to baggage claim - no bags. We had another flight to catch back to the states, so we didn't have time to figure out the situation. We spent the next three days frantically calling Aegean, to no avail. Their customer service either wouldn't answer or would tell us to call London Heathrow lost and found, who wouldn't answer. Eventually, Delta found our bags and had to work with Lufthansa and their own boots on the ground at LHR to find the bags and get them back to us."

Ulemper: "Not informed of any delays on screen or anywhere but somehow Kayak knew before I arrived at airport."

Ulemper: "Too much of uncontrolled loud talk between passengers above 25 - 30 yrs old on either side of aisle at night 10 - 12 PM without even thinking that other passengers are around. Flight attendants could have been courteous by asking them to keep the noise low. My baggage did not arrive for 4 days in Cairo and no one was responding to calls and even went to airport twice . offices were closed during day time . Last day before leaving with the help of a travel agent I was lucky to get my luggage. There was almost a brawl at airport as people were unhappy because their baggage did not come from tel aviv to cairo. Very poor handling of delayed baggage. Not even a call from the airline. Not sure if it was offloaded in Tel Aviv or Athens."
Ulemper: "In my electronic ticket there was no information about charges for luggage. I'd tried to access a site to learn about it but could not get it. At the airport I was told that I had to pay $50 (cash only) for a small suitcase I was checking in. I've found it dishonest. The seats were very tight - no leg room."

Ulemper: "I was charged 68 Bulgarian levas on our way back to Beirut . I had the same language from Beirut to Sofia and didn't pay any penny They asked from me 40 EUROS but the lady accepted 68 Levas. I wonder if the money went to the pocket of the employee."
