Ulemper: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

Ulemper: "Rather long wait at business check-in, friendliness there ok, on board service slow with the champagne, old aircraft with old configuration of seats, nothing really bad, but it's not like this that you win an airline of the year award!"

Ulemper: "I had to ask 3 times for an arrival card from the crew. Bread was dry. There should have been a breakfast served prior to landing, but no food service after 1 a.m. though flight arrived at 7:40 a.m. Timing of meals was not convenient for me at all. They wake you up at 1 a.m. for your main dinner. I would have preferred to sleep until 5 a.m. then have a good breakfast. The amenity kit in Business Class was substandard when compared to other airlines"
Fordele: "Amazing crew! They handled a full flight with screaming indisciplined kids and clueless adults with grace. Entertainment was great as usual"
Ulemper: "Singapore food and drinks quality has deteriorated significantly. Flights are always packed with uncomfortable seating. These days you get amenities only if you ask."
Fordele: "The help desk employees who helped me rebook my flight."
Ulemper: "After rushing to catch my connecting Singapore flight, their desks were closed and there wasn’t an employee in site. Given that airlines can see connecting fights it would have been great to have someone stay back to either give me a boarding pass or help me rebook! UNSATISFACTORY!"

Fordele: "I am still trying to find my bags. I missed my connection and Jet Blue made me stand in a line to get rebooked for 7 hours. Unprofessional, uncaring. None of this was my fault but everyone who represents Jet Blue treated me as if it were. Never again"

Swiss Airlines isn’t going to hear the end of this is they don’t agree to replace my son’s phone. My husband is a lawyer and we are prepared to bring this to the public."
Ulemper: "My son dropped his phone in business class seat and the ground staff technician claimed it wasn’t there. Theft at its best! Swiss Air better take responsibility for their shady staff and agree to replace my don’s Phone promptly or we will take this to the public eye and courts. I’m sure we could get a big class action suit."

Ulemper: "The plane was small, it rattled and shook a lot and the size of the seats is ridiculous. The bathrooms did not have warm water and the sense of comfort is to be found only in business and first class. We fly to Zurich a lot because we have family there and we always take SWISS for a direct flight. They have old planes, the little TVs by the seats may or may not work and although the crew is nice and well trained, they cannot substitute for the discomfort of 10 hours flights in a crammed place. Sorry SWISS."

As my wife and I are both retired flight attendants with TWA and American, we tend to notice customer service at all levels of an airline’s operation. Both our flight out of LHR to GVA and our return were smooth as can be. Nice job, Swiss!"

They checked our passports 3 times before we got to our gate. Swiss airlines should account for these things when they give options for the connections. we had about and hour and half layover and did not even have time to have coffee or anything before a 9+ hour flight. We just ran from one flight to another and barely made to our flight.."

Ulemper: "SWISS always turns on the air conditioning too high on intercontinental flights. It is HOT inside the cabins. The entertainment system is very outdated, small screen and old and used hand set. Claiming to be a premium airline is unfortunately very overstated if you are unlucky to catch the old business class planes. Only few have changed to the new versions (777s) - Make sure to catch those."

WE PICKED OUR SEATS BY THE FRONT BULKHEAD AND WHEN WE CHECKED IN THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US THOSE SEATS BECAUSE THEY SAID OTHER PEOPLE PAID MORE THAN US TO HAVE THEM. THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR THIS KIND OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY."
Fordele: "All members of the crew were wonderful! The food was good and this time I could take advantage of free snacks and beverages, in addition to the ones frequently distributed to everybody. Last time I flew with Norwegian, and it was a shocking experience: the crew were rude and unrpofessional, everything extra, they even refused to serve water to a passenger... So, never again Norwegian--Swiss was a nice change and, in the end, I paid more or less the same :-)"
Ulemper: "Space is getting smaller and smaller; I would welcome a bigger selection of movies and games."
Fordele: "The flight attendants were perfect and very professional. I had a toothache on both flights back and forth. And on both flights, the crew members were always keeping an eye on me. Thanks so much. And also the pilots did an amazing job on making the flight as smooth as possible, love the 777! Thank you Swiss. I'm flying again to Athens this summer, I'm going with Swiss :)"
Fordele: "Service was excellent and very friendly."
Ulemper: "The seats are terrible. Narrow, the armrests edgy and only partially movable. A large metal box under the seat takes away 2/3 of the legroom. The entertainment system is outdated, screen has no contrast and can only be viewed at a straight angle, which is impossible as soon as the seat is reclined."
Fordele: "The crew members were polite and efficient."
Ulemper: "There was no climate control. Our rows were freezing cold. People were wearing coats and blankets. Four or five rows up it was warm. My husband asked for more heat and the stewardess said she would turn it up, but nothing happened. Cold air blew out of the ceiling vents for the entire flight. When we reached our gate, we then waited in a long line to have our passports and boarding passes checked again. There were several Swissair crew members, but only one person to check all of the paperwork for economy. Then another long line to show our boarding passes again, while the business class entrance remained unused. Swissair needs someone to manage this better."
Ulemper: "Seats in Economy are too tight. There's no room to move, and if the person in front of you leans back, the seat is inches from your face. In an emergency, the instructions are to lean forward with your head on your knees. This maneuver is impossible."
Ulemper: "On my return journey I was told at check in that there were delays that would mean missing my onward journey from Zurich. I was then rerouted through Istanbul with the promise that I would be well compensated for my troubles. I was told that I would receive a certain amount for every hour I was delayed from my original arrival at end destination. Well I arrived 8 or more hours after I had originally expected (and the reason I booked with Swiss Air was because of the timing and the apparent luxury of the flight). Once I got back home and tried to pursue this amazing compensation I received some of the worst customer service ever and received 0 compensation for the experience. Very disappointed and will never fly swiss airlines again."

Since it was my first time to travel via Turkish Airline, not familiar with Istanbul airport."

Fordele: "I have flown Turkish Air many times for the past 8 years and they are a solid airline. They have very good food for airplane food, and a decent entertainment center."
Ulemper: "Unfortunately they have moved away from their Exonomy Plus seats that were great and ample room, whereas now their seating in exonomy is very cramped. They also used to have nice amenities on long international flights like a hot towel and some Turkish Delight before takeoff and landing, but they no longer have that. And my biggest complaint is that they keep their planes unbearably hot most ost of the time. It’s by far the most frustrating thing when your cramped in their tiny spaces for 11 hours."

Ulemper: "Flight from Istanbul to Bangkok was delayed for 3.5 hours with no apology and no compensatory measures such as drinks and food or lounge access Power outlets in Istanbul airport are all round plug European with no USB terminals for phone recharging"
Fordele: "Food was decent and the crew was great."
Ulemper: "The air conditioning did not work in the front part of the cabin. I asked about it but nothing changed. It was very uncomfortable for everyone in that part of the plane. The back was cool front was miserable."
Fordele: "Getting Home"
Ulemper: "Everything the seats were so close to the other seat forget it they Reclined. No service at all one bottle of water for about 6 hours they never passed by once. Flt. Att.’s were nice but no training no customer service. Like cattle I just want to forget the trip"

Ulemper: "Seat adjustments were not working on both seats in the Houston- Istanbul segment!!"

Ulemper: "They cancelled my returning flight WITHOUT me knowing and expecting me to pay for the penalty fee for misisng the first flight even tho I DID not cancel the returning flight which obviously I was gonna take. The staff was RUDE and INSENSITIVE. Qatar was better in overall customer service. Worst customer service from Turkish airline."
Fordele: "Turkish Airlines er normalt, som samlet pakke min favorit, men når indtjekning vælger at sætte 2 voksne mænd på sæder ved nødudgangen der kun er ca. 75% i størrelse af normle (små) sæder, så er 3½ time til Istanbul en lang sammenklemt oplevelse."

Ulemper: "Seating in Economy class is terrible. For tall persons like me it is a punshment to be squeazed in such a narrow space. Turkish airlines should add more space and comfort with their seating in Economy. Introduce a Premium Economy Class would solve that problem"
Ulemper: "We had to spend the night in Istanbul and get only on the next flight the following morning. TK airport (ground) staff that talked to us was antipathetic and it took ages to get any service. Looks like they didn't care we about the delay, nor they were trying to help us. Just kept saying we need to wait."
Fordele: "Food's always good and the staff friendly"
Ulemper: "The sound on the entertainment system is not good...it used to be good but not anymore"

Ulemper: "The fact that I missed my connection flight in Thailand because of a two hour delay. I was never informed why there was so much of a delay and in turn I had to pay triple of what I payed before for my flight. Very disappointed. Won't be flying this airline again. Service was rude. They should be more responsible when it comes to timing. We were on the flight waiting for two hours!!!"
Fordele: "Great crew. Super nice to our 4 year old daughter. They were quick, extra polite and efficient. I'm usually quite picky but this leg was perfect."
Ulemper: "It was all good(which I rarely get to say these days on any carrier)"
Fordele: "We arrived safely and on time"
Ulemper: "The seat spacing on that flight was some of the tightest I have ever seen - worse than even most of the short-haul (Embraer) flights i have been on - barely manageable for 3.5 hours. Flight attendants were borderline rude and bossy, but they had to be, because the passengers were loud and unruly."
Fordele: "The on flight entertainment had a wide selection. The burger dinner was surprisingly good!"
Ulemper: "The egg breakfast wasn't good at all. The eggs were tough and didn't taste like real eggs."
Fordele: "It was a short flight but they still fed us and supplied beverages. So many airlines do not do this or charge you for everything!"
Ulemper: "Why does Turkish Air boarding always have to be so chaotic - pushing and shoving, etc. Why cant TK control their business class space - people from economy always coming up for bathrooms when there are plenty in the back....."

Ulemper: "Old plane with questionable food, only few movies. Not impressed and considering not using TA again"
Fordele: "The seats reclined very far and were super comfortable! I never sleep on planes and I slept the whole 13 hour flight. The staff was so friendly and made sure you were as comfortable as could be. The food was delicious and they give you a menu so that you can make a selection."
Ulemper: "One of my meals they ran out of the pasta so I had to eat rice meal instead. Nothing too crazy but I was a little disappointed."

Ulemper: "less and less space in economy class for passengers not very kind boaridng people no info on posibble complimentary upgrade for Gold Card passengers"
Fordele: "Better food and service than other airlines on which I've traveled recently. Loading passengers was disciplined and speedy. Staff very helpful. Istanbul airport is great for a long wait. If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."

Fordele: "Luggage left in Istanbul due to short connjection was delivered to my home the same evening. Check in was simple and quick."
Ulemper: "Seats too close together on A330 airplane, entertainment console difficult to use and flight attendent did not have patience to explain how to use it, ran out of main course and remaining chicken course was too spicy to eat, flight from Singapore was delayed in takeoff making it very difficult to make connecting flight,"
Fordele: "There was a snowstorm in Istanbul so we got diverted to Antalya. I am sitting in a hotel room. If someone from kayak could let me know when my flight to Dhaka will happen it would be greatly appreciated. My email is email@example.com. Thanks"

Ulemper: "Entertainments options were shockingly few. Honestly have not been on a plane recently with so few and limited options of TV series and movies. I was extremely surprised. Wish I had know and I would’ve had more options for my family."

Ulemper: "Newer airplane, as 747s are kind of outdated now, especially for long distance flights. But overall had good experience with KLM"

They served delicious meals, snacks, and water. They provided headphones, blankets and pillows. They took very good care of us."

Ulemper: "At the check in they made me pay 50€ for my luggage. This is really upsetting because from Houston to Venice they didn't make me pay. Either the website wasn't transparent or the lady at the desk made a mistake. Very upsetting, one luggage should be included."
Fordele: "And i got it 2 days later. I had to buy a lot of items which were in my suitcase The returning of the suitcase was awfull. In tge end after many phone calls I received it On the 18/12 evening, 2 days after my landing"

Ulemper: "when serving drinks, cabin crew limited to serve liquor only once and it was poor service."

Fordele: "The food rocks! I know that I will always be eating well with KLM. The staff is always so nice, professional and cordial...I always know I'll be in good hands with the flight. KLM #605 from Amsterdam to SFO---please pass the praise to all of them."
Fordele: "I bought the Airport tickets for my Russian friend. However customs would not allow her to board the plane unfortunately. That's not Kayaks fault. I would definitely book with Kayak again. Many thanks."

Fordele: "The flight to Gdansk took off and arrived on-time and the staff were professional."
Ulemper: "The flight to Amsterdam from Gdansk was late and I had to RUN to the connecting gate. 50 minutes is NOT ENOUGH time to go through passport control."
Fordele: "Sound was broken on my TV set!"
Ulemper: "Called stewardess twice to assist. No response!"
Ulemper: "... ear plugs, masks, good food or even picking seats? I remember when it was all complementary and standard on overnight flights. Oh, and the vegetarian breakfast was unfortunately poor as well. I know you can do better, because you used to."
Fordele: "He missed it due to having a 32 minute layover, which he ran all the way to board."
Ulemper: "he had no choice but to look at the closed door of his flight, and wait an additional 7 hours and they didn't even give him a voucher for food. I'm his mother, I'm currently visiting family in Scotland, so couldn't help him much. I'm pretty disgusting and disappointed by the whole experience."
Fordele: "Friendly staff"
Ulemper: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Fordele: "The cabin crew were good. They explained what the arrangements were for the delayed flight connections"
Ulemper: "The plane wasn't refueled and so was not ready for take off once the passengers were loaded. The plane had a technical problem when it tried the first take off and so it had to be abandoned. This was alarming.."
Fordele: "From pre-boarding, to boarding, to the food, and the attentiveness, everything was top notch! The cleanliness of the plane was only topped by the friendliness of the crew."
Ulemper: "The flight was marked at almost 11hrs but ended up being only 9...not a negative other than it meant not spending as much time on board!"
Fordele: "That we didn’t crash"
Ulemper: "Everything! The crew was rude, no entertainment whatsoever, late boarding, late departure and bad experience with the check in process both in app and on website."
Fordele: "The crew were pleasant"
Ulemper: "That I was forced to check my baggage. I never received a chain ticket for my luggage. The flight has a 32 hour layover and KLM lost my luggage and it was not found until a week after my arrival back home. I still have not received my bag at this time. The boarding crew was manually tracking who boarded and who didn't. It was a cluster."
Fordele: "Arriving more or less on time"
Ulemper: "Crew is awful. Disrespectful desinterested in customers find themselves very important. No service mentality whatsoever. No respectful airline would hire such arrogant self centered personalities in a service role"
Fordele: "The cabin crew, the flight and communication and the cleanliness of the plane."
Ulemper: "It was really unclear which desk to use at Birmingham airport to check in. It was extremely stressful for a first time flier as I had no idea what to do - the desk location wasn't marked clearly and when no staff were there it wasn't clear that the desk was open."
Fordele: "The crew were lovely and welcoming. We was given snacks and drinks on the flight which was great. Take off was a bit delayed but boarding was smooth. Couldn't complain about the comfort as was only just over an hours flight."
Fordele: "The staff was fast and curteous."
Ulemper: "There is not anything to complain about besides the usual discomfort of travel."
Fordele: "Professional, friendly service. Punctual, safe flight. Comfortable, spotless airplane."
Ulemper: "What is there not to like about KLM? I cannot find anything."
