A 17 hour plane ride is never the best, but Singapore Air made it as pleasant as possible. Also, we booked on Kayak and was routed through a third party vendor JustFly, which I was a little worried about - but our booking went off without a hitch."

They wake you up at 1 a.m. for your main dinner. I would have preferred to sleep until 5 a.m. then have a good breakfast. The amenity kit in Business Class was substandard when compared to other airlines"

Sri Lankan and Emirates FAR better service."

Ulemper: "they walked past me twice with introductory drinks without stopping and offering me one, I then had to ask for one.. not good. the younger staff need to develop the wonderful standard of the older staff."
Fordele: "Cabin crew was top notch - even in coach they could not be more accommodating and customer friendly. US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!"
Ulemper: "That my flight had to end and I know my next US airline flight won’t come close to this kind of experience! Air travel doesn’t have to be a cattle herding process with peanut treats on cross country flights - shame on the US carriers - I strongly suggest they fly Singapore Air to see what true customer service feels like!"

Ulemper: "Food was tasty enough, but not hot when served (a common problem with many airlines) and only two options for Premium Economy. Entertainment options also limited."
Ulemper: "Boarding - No announcement regarding boarding, people were unsure when boarding would commence and reason for the delay. Comfort- it was very hot, as temperature control is activated by staff; I asked staff to turn on air conditioning in my area as it was very hot and stuffy, but it was still hot and fairly uncomfortable."
Fordele: "Quick & efficient boarding but cost cutting has taken the shine off what used to be a quality airline experience."
Ulemper: "I’m not fussy about food, but the menu today was about as uninspiring as they come. Along with polite but perfunctory service and a seat that is nothing better than premium economy, I don’t know how they can get away with calling their business class product, Business Class!"

Ulemper: "No gate at landing, waiting for buses, long Immigration lines and then bags delayed. Time trying to get out of BKK was longer than the flight."
Ulemper: "Our itinerary did not show that we had to transit in Chiangmai. It came as a surprise when we checked in at the airport. That was very misleading. We had to remove our hand luggage at each stop."
Ulemper: "Waited for at the domestic check in for 40 minutes only to be told to check in at int terminal!! Absolutely ridiculous set up!!"

We probably booked our domestic flight a bit too close to the landing of the international flight, and unfortunately, the flight was 25 minutes delayed, but Thai helped us get off the plane as the first people and we made our domestic flight, with a few minutes to spare. Thanks for the help and we will make sure to have a little better time between our flights in the future."
Ulemper: "Our connection flight from Germany was changed and we were not informed meaning we land in Germany after the flight has departed. We're forced to buy a last minute flight with a different airline to ensure we do not miss our honeymoon plans"

I also thought the food options were good, too. You didn't go too long without being asked about a new beverage or meal, pretty satisfying."

Ulemper: "We had two drunks behind us constantly kicking our seats. There was three free seats in front of us, we asked to move there but we were told that those seats were for crew in case of turbulence. It's the first time I hear this. Half way through they allowed us to move for those seats."
Ulemper: "Chiang Mai lounge worn-out. Staff nonexistent. No alcohol. Snacks economy quality.Delay 30 minutes, no explanation given. No alcohol served on domestic flights in business? Seriously? Meal no choice. Entertainment nonexistent. Airshow only. The seats look like a 70s Sci Fi B movie set. In recline I kept kicking the seat in front of me. This was all on a one hour and ten minute flight. I'll never fly them long haul."

I was a little bit stressed because I had a connecting flight to Manila, was afraid i wouldn't make it. And also, no gate assignment yet for Istanbul to Manila. Since it was my first time to travel via Turkish Airline, not familiar with Istanbul airport."

Ulemper: "Flight from Istanbul to Bangkok was delayed for 3.5 hours with no apology and no compensatory measures such as drinks and food or lounge access Power outlets in Istanbul airport are all round plug European with no USB terminals for phone recharging"
Ulemper: "The ONLY thing I hate about Turkish Airlines is the necessity to go through security in Istanbul when you're in transit on an international flight. Not only do you have to go through security again - with the serious chance of missing a connection - but if it's a flight to the USA, there is serious additional security at the gate. Surely this is enough."

Ulemper: "They cancelled my returning flight WITHOUT me knowing and expecting me to pay for the penalty fee for misisng the first flight even tho I DID not cancel the returning flight which obviously I was gonna take. The staff was RUDE and INSENSITIVE. Qatar was better in overall customer service. Worst customer service from Turkish airline."
Fordele: "Turkish Airlines er normalt, som samlet pakke min favorit, men når indtjekning vælger at sætte 2 voksne mænd på sæder ved nødudgangen der kun er ca. 75% i størrelse af normle (små) sæder, så er 3½ time til Istanbul en lang sammenklemt oplevelse."

Ulemper: "No priority boarding for business. And still no beverage service before take off (alcohol)."

Ulemper: "My infotainment center was broken for the entire 13 hour ride. Luckily I had my phone but it would have been nice to have the expected entertainment options. The service carts only came through twice leaving a many hour gap with no drink or food service."

Ulemper: "Seating in Economy class is terrible. For tall persons like me it is a punshment to be squeazed in such a narrow space. Turkish airlines should add more space and comfort with their seating in Economy. Introduce a Premium Economy Class would solve that problem"

Ulemper: "We had to spend the night in Istanbul and get only on the next flight the following morning. TK airport (ground) staff that talked to us was antipathetic and it took ages to get any service. Looks like they didn't care we about the delay, nor they were trying to help us. Just kept saying we need to wait."
Fordele: "Food's always good and the staff friendly"
Ulemper: "The sound on the entertainment system is not good...it used to be good but not anymore"
Fordele: "First meal served was excellent. Entertainment selections are always great on Turkish. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Best bathrooms in the air."
Ulemper: "Plane was maintained very hot throughout our flight, also pressurization was very high making for uncomfortable flight. We needed a better choice than macaroni and cheese for the second meal."

Ulemper: "The fact that I missed my connection flight in Thailand because of a two hour delay. I was never informed why there was so much of a delay and in turn I had to pay triple of what I payed before for my flight. Very disappointed. Won't be flying this airline again. Service was rude. They should be more responsible when it comes to timing. We were on the flight waiting for two hours!!!"
Fordele: "Great crew. Super nice to our 4 year old daughter. They were quick, extra polite and efficient. I'm usually quite picky but this leg was perfect."
Ulemper: "It was all good(which I rarely get to say these days on any carrier)"

Ulemper: "The seat spacing on that flight was some of the tightest I have ever seen - worse than even most of the short-haul (Embraer) flights i have been on - barely manageable for 3.5 hours. Flight attendants were borderline rude and bossy, but they had to be, because the passengers were loud and unruly."

Ulemper: "Why does Turkish Air boarding always have to be so chaotic - pushing and shoving, etc. Why cant TK control their business class space - people from economy always coming up for bathrooms when there are plenty in the back....."

Fordele: "Better food and service than other airlines on which I've traveled recently. Loading passengers was disciplined and speedy. Staff very helpful. Istanbul airport is great for a long wait. If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."
Fordele: "From the minute we boarded the plane, we were given refreshments and tasty food in the business class. When it was time to sleep the flight attendants made our beds for us! It was heaven! We will use this airline again!"
Ulemper: "If you were to become hungry in between the meals they serve, you need to go to the chef's station to pick/ask what snacks you would like. As a first timer we stumbled upon that. One of our seats didn't work but was able to scoot over as it wasn't full."
Ulemper: "I was supposed to be given two boarding passes through my check-in but I was given only one. This caused a lot of confusion on the Istanbul Airport. The staff there we unbelievably rude. They caused two passengers (on separate occasions) to miss their flight right in front of my eyes due to no apparent reason. They plainly refused to cooperate with passengers."

Fordele: "Service from the flight attendants were fantastic. The food was delicious and the entertainment included plenty of movie options. I'm also glad that my bags were never lost throughout all of my flights this summer on Turkish Airlines."
Ulemper: "I know seats in the 777-300 recline but do not disrupt the next row's space. That was not the case on the Airbus A330-300. It would be nice if the same seats were on the Airbus aircraft I flew from Istanbul to Bangkok."

Ulemper: "The seats area are too small my knees hurt as they hit just the edge of the food tray, impossible flight with the seat other than straight as you will be disturbing a lot the other passengers, although unfortunately some people do not care about the confort of the others"

Ulemper: "Flyet var forsinket så jeg missede forbindelsen til CPH i Frankfurt. Det kan ske. Blev omboket til tidligt fly næste morgen. Sådan måtte det jo så være. Men at skulle stå i kø som business pasager i 55 min for at få hotelvoucher og nyt boardingpass var for meget. Economy havde endnu længere kø. Skikkerhedstjek næste morgen i Frankfurt tog 35 min for business og op mod 1t for economy!"

Ulemper: "My row had 3 seats behing a row of 4. We were weirdly offset so I had to look to the right to see my TV. Super uncomfortable. Dont like TV much anyway. Gave up on it real quick"

Fordele: "I had to change my flight times three times, and each time they charged me less than 30 dollars (for taxes) and the wait times on the phone were super fast. It was shocking to not lose hundreds of dollars for life happening and needing to change my flight. AND!! I got a free upgrade to premium economy for free!"
Ulemper: "My luggage did not arrive on the flight from Frankfort to Athens. The Lost Luggage staff was very helpful, but the process took a long, long time. Then when my luggage arrived the next morning, no one was staffing the Gold kiosk, so it took another hour and a half to get my luggage. (We had received an email saying that the luggage would be available at 7:30; no one was there to provide it to us)"
Fordele: "Despite the short flight we were still given food and as always I love airline food. Free alcohol is always a bonus as well! Nice crew and timely take offs and landings. Could bring two hand luggage (backpack and suitcase) which I like even though I didn't have to pay extra!"
Ulemper: "No negatives."
Fordele: "Had a horrible experience on another airline the night before. Got this free that flight and booked with Lufthansa a few hours before take off. We were not sure what to expect but we’re pleasantly surpirsed with the entire experience. Definitely would recommend."

Fordele: "This flight is usually fully booked but there happened to be an empty seat next to mine which was much appreciated"
Ulemper: "Flight was late causing me to miss flight to Chicago ORD. Missed flight left me waiting in Frankfurt over-night with-out a hotel, nor anyone from Lufthansa to assist with finding a sleeping cot. No airport/Lufthansa staff would offer to bring me a cot and all attempts by me to locate a cot were unsuccessful leaving me to walk from area to area to locate were the cots were stored. Ten Euro meal compensation was severely inadequate to cover dinner and breakfast. Very dissatisfied."
Fordele: "The seats are comfortable and the plane was clean and well-presented."
Ulemper: "The flight left with a slight delay. As I boarded, I was issued a new seat in the middle, as opposed to the window seat I had selected. There was zero explanation for this change. When I approached the flight attendants about it, with a smile on my end, I was offered the equivalent of a shrug. As I gave up, I was also informed there was no more room in the overhead bins, so not only did I end up sitting in the middle (which I loathe), but also with my carry-on under my feet. I’ve always been a fan of Lufthansa, but I’m a little disappointed this time around."
Ulemper: "4 good movies, regular water rounds, friendly staff, enough toilets"

Ulemper: "LH had to switch planes at MUC due to mechanical problems on the 1st plane => flight left 3hrs late, causing me to miss connecting flight at IAD => had to switch airport to DCA and use DL to get to BNA via ATL on the next day. had to wait in line for several hrs to get rebooked - overall dismal performance by LH, my image of them is shattered"
Fordele: "Boarding was made seamless. Seating legroom always seems to be better then others I have flown with. Food seems to be better too. The flight crew is very friendly!"

Ulemper: "This was an Air Canada flight. Time in line to check baggage in Frankfurt was 2+ hours, baggage was lost but arrived the next day at our destination. Unable to check-in online ahead of time for unknown reasons. Overall the Air Canada ground experience was pretty bad, but the crew/meals/entertainment was good."
Fordele: "Comortable seats, great service, combined with good food and entertainment made for an enjoyable flight"

Ulemper: "Food was awful. Looked like something you would find in prison. My second leg did not even have vegan options for me, as I ordered online weeks ago. I was so hungry after almost 14 hours of flying plus a 12-hour layover. I am not impressed with this airline."
Fordele: "Free wine; flight was on time; movie and TV shows are good; crew gives out water constantly. I prefer Lufthansa over any other airline."
