Leg room is ok, not as roomy as the flight from SFO to South Korea. When we boarded there was a strong smell burning fumes from the A.C. (air condition) that trigger my asthma and landed in Cebu very ill with asthma and allergy."

Ulemper: "First, I did an online check-in and was able to secure a seat for the first leg of the flight, but was able to get any information on my second leg. So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"

A 17 hour plane ride is never the best, but Singapore Air made it as pleasant as possible. Also, we booked on Kayak and was routed through a third party vendor JustFly, which I was a little worried about - but our booking went off without a hitch."

I believe the flight attendant knew of my concerns because she started asking me if the service was ok. If your doing a good job, then you won’t have to ask."
Ulemper: "The seat's recline button was broken which meant having to sit for 12+ hours upright. Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

Also for business class passengers they don't get into a priority lane as you see in Emirates and other airlines. while Singapore airline is very good, they still lack in the details."

Fordele: "Can't think of. We have been using Singapore Air for years and they were good. However, our recent few flights with them have been disappointing (hence the need for this review) - there's nothing to be happy about."
Ulemper: "Writing on behalf of my wife. All staff that she met have sour face, perhaps to signal the passengers not to approach them? True enough, the cabin crew did not help her to place her bag in the luggage compartment; the cabin crew did not serve water when requested, and on second attempt, the cabin crew told her to request at the ground. The cabin crews she has encountered clearly expressed their unwillingness to serve with their face and action. Is this the new direction of Singaore Air? The entertainment system requires installation of an app, hence is practically useless since we do not have the app preinstalled in our device."
Fordele: "Liked almost everything: newspapers, menu card, mini-toiletries bag, hot towel, food choice, ice cream, entertainment options, head sets provided (better quality than US airlines), lavatories kept clean and with less waiting time, number and friendliness of flight staff."

Ulemper: "I asked for one of the crew to help me bring up my carry-on luggage, as i'm just recovering from a flu at that time. Instead the FA looked at my bag and asked me in an irritated tone if my bag was really that heavy? I said I was recovering and I just need an extra push once I lift it up into the cabin. In the end she did help but i did not appreciate her attitude and felt disappointed my whole flight."

Ulemper: "My daughter had the vegetarian oriental - and it was basically a ball of slim. My son had the lactose free meal and it was broccoli and potatoes. We switched our return flight meals to the regular in-flight meal. It was better, but not great."
Fordele: "My partner had a bad leg and the staff were very attentive and helpful in making her as comfortable as possible with extra pillows and getting ice for her ice pack."
Ulemper: "The seats were uncomfortable and I couldn't sleep without getting a really stiff neck. The vegetarian oriental meal was bee hoon with vegetables but the amount of vegetables were a lot more than the bee hoon thus making the meal less than filling and satisfying."

Ulemper: "The Manchester stopover was just a lot of standing in lines. From Manchester to Singapore, the plane was full and my seat mates didn't get up when we needed out. So, we escaped to the back for a while where we were "hushed" by a stewardess. The stewards didn't seem to like it when we were out of our seats, but 12 hours is too long to be stuck in a middle seat."

Ulemper: "Service has faltered recently. I had asked fo Riesling, and the flight attendant said they would bring later. Never did. Also, they no longer offer various Crabtree and Evelyn products in bathroom, and my night pack didn't even come with a visor to cover my eyes for sleeping."

Fordele: "The Crew were professional, friendly and comforting. The A380 Business Class is the best way to fly. Smooth journey, very comfortable reclining beds with enough room to within the bed area to move around with adequate space. The Wine list was excellent with a great choice and variety."
Ulemper: "Nothing to do with the flight...but Qatar could have offered an airport hotel room to their Bus. Class passengers for the 9 hour delay....we did have the Lounge, but a shower, rest and comfort after another previous 5 hour 30 minutes flight from Athens 11.30am Start to 2.00am start from Doa."

Fordele: "I appreciated the friendly and always service minded staff. The plane was clean and I enjoyed good leg room. I was happy with the menus and the film selection was entertaining and current. All over a great experience and I would not hesitate to choose Qatar again."
Fordele: "I enjoyed my flight,it was a smooth trip from Doha to Manila, the Cabin Crew received adequate training on taking care of people, as a professional nurse who is use to taking care of others ,I see someone else looking after me and I really appreciate their efforts. Shortly before we landed at Manila, we were informed that in order to meet international flight rules and regulations that insecticide will be sprayed we were advised to cover our nose,as a medical personnel I see it not good cos it can trigger an Asthmatic attack in a known asthmatic patient ,it was a lovely journey"

Ulemper: "I felt that the service was slow and the food was poor. Water was not offered during the flight as is the norm with other airlines. Toilets should be cleaned more regularly. Advertising at the beginning of the inflight entertainment became very repetitive when watching short tv shows."

Ulemper: "There was little communication about boarding at Lusaka. By contrast to larger airports it is not at all clear where to go once you are in the departures area - fine if you are familiar with the airport, but confusing if not. I discovered I should make my way through secondary security into the departure gate area via a small unsigned door. There followed a good deal of confusion among the passengers as to where we should be waiting, and whether the flight was on time or not. Another area which could be improved, but not by the airline, is the listing of departure gates for connecting flights in Dubai. There are so many flights cycling on limited screen space, so you have only a few seconds to locate your flight, from around 90 or so, before having to wait for the cycle to repeat."

Ulemper: "Old business class arrangement for this route seems very outdated conpared compared to the newer fleet; was not worth the extra upgrade fee."

Ulemper: "Service took a long time once on the flight. We left Sydney at 7pm and didn't receive any food or drinks for at least an hour and a half."
Fordele: "A380 flight was very comfortable, with adequate leg room. A great feature for long haul flights. Good food and a very good entertainment system"
Ulemper: "Good was served late, in both legs. Flight departs at 7 pm but diiner was served after 10 (midnight Dubai time) Which meant our sleep was disturbed and when breakfast was served we had a full stomach."
