The plane wasn't too full and so I scooted over to the isle seat next to mine but again the resolution on the screen was so bad I couldn't read the intro comments to the movie, etc. They desperately need to update the entertainment system on that plane."

Ulemper: "The business class seats were smaller than I thought and not so comfortable as the 777. The seats are hard and ungiving and when you sleep on them you really feel it. Plus the flatbed lay out meant you were basically lying in a question mark position, not so goof for tall people like my husband. The food was good but uninteresting and I think for an overnight flight there should be more smaller,lighter, non spicy options offered rather that full dinners."

Also, to me little things like fold the cup holder before take off and landing is just a simple task to do without giving a lecture to the passenger when he or she might be tight up with kids."

We were told to keep our seats upright during meal times and to keeo our window shutters down during other times. This made sense. But there were passengers right in front of us who had their seats reclined during meal time and the crew did not tell them anything."

Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us."

Ulemper: "My boyfriend and I were required to gate check our carry-on luggage which required us to go through customs in Paris to get to our bag and re-enter security for our connecting international flight. I am unsure why this was the case as other passengers brought the same size luggage. Very upsetting."

Flight from Paris to Barcelona boarded and once everyone was on board, they told us that we would be sitting there for 2 hours before leaving."

We were told that it was just a half an hour delay by the man that was informing us of the delay and then we were then told by a woman that it was going to be over an hour. We weren’t told any specifics of why the plane was delayed, other than: “ the engineers are looking at the issue now”. We received messages saying that the flight was cancelled but then we were told to ignore that. We were told that we would have an update every 10-15 minutes but by the time we had the next update was 1 hours later, we were told that the plane will depart at 15:50- which we did. But we also sat on the plane for an extra 2 hours or maybe even more (couldn’t bare watching the time at this point) because the man that was supposed to push the plane backwards in order to reverse the plane didn’t turn up so we then had to wait for all of the other planes to take off before we could. Eventually the plane set off at 18:20 and I got in France 19:30-20:00 ish?"

Ulemper: "Hundreds of people missed their flights. Delta had us into Paris with an hour and a half to get to connecting flight. Missed flight due to huge delay in passport approval. They seemed completely unprepared."

Ulemper: "So i was with ticketing requesting for seating, and she said run run your flight is leaving , i did not get proper seat and i ran to find out it was NYC flight and not DC. I asked more than one Eithihqd personeel and they did not know the difference bewtween Nyac flight and DC flight . Then came back to request for seating and they again made believe my security will be declines if i waste timein requesting seating. Got a flight between 2 males for a 15 hour flight and a run across the airport with a heart problem . I will never fly Eithihqd and also will not recommend to anyone"

Ulemper: "On the dreamliner flights they have tried to cram a ton of seats in so if your over 5'8 you'll be very cramped with your knees under the seats and a strange headrest jammed I to your shoulder. I fly about 20 or 30k miles a year in economy and this is easily the most uncomfortably designed seat I've been in. More over the staff was incredibly dismissive and rude to all I witnessed then keep a older woman waiting for 45 mins for water and then dismiss her when she asked a second time. The check in staff was no better."

There were no snack available or provided for kids except the meal box. When requested milk for my kid some milk from flask was given which I was not comfortable giving to my son.. there were other issues but my sons comfort was the most Concerning"

Ulemper: "Last two flights with Virgin Australia (not Etihad) were very late. Va decided to cancel my booking on my international connection even though I could make it. VA DID ALL THEY COUKD TO MAKE SURE I MISSED MY CONNECTION."
Ulemper: "There was an issue with my ticket/ boarding pass from JFK to Raleigh. It was said that the exchange ticket did not reflect in the system for Jetblue and that I will have to call their call center and figure out the issue. I was lucky that I found a staff from jetblue crew who could figure out the issue and help me out. If it was not for her, I could have faced difficulties."
Ulemper: "I got violently ill after getting off the flight. The only food I had in the last 24 hours had been from Etihad. I threw up for two days straight."
Ulemper: "This ar line has no absolute respect for its people. It seems because it is a fight going to India, which apparently it is not an important country they can do anything. The worst gate (I do not know if this is the air line choice or not), there was no line to boarding, there was not enough seat at the gate and one of the people at the gate was insisting that travelers should sit. The crew was rude to the Indian people, however they themselves were not acting properly. The bus came to get the people from the gate to the plane in Abu Dabi was really bad."

Ulemper: "Checkin problems. They look for means to charge extra for handbag. Their handbag dimensions are smallest than any other airline. A standard carry on strolley will never fit their dimensions as they have it 7cm less in length and they harass passengers to pay for it. Very bad attitude."
Ulemper: "Some of the crew members are very rude and that really disappointed me."

Ulemper: "The dimensional requirement of carry-on luggage came as a surprise at the last moment. The luggage I could carry on any other flight was not allowed in the Chicago check-in."
Fordele: "The pillow that cradles your head and neck! I've flown with many international airlines over 20+ years and Etihad is now my number one choice. It seems to really think about passengers' comfort. I also enjoyed watching documentaries on fashion designer Michael Kors and singer David Bowie."
Ulemper: "Flight attendants were polite but one told me, "You should put the tray up." I suppose she was thinking in French, where people say "il faut faire…" To an English speaker "you should" doesn't sound soft. I think the flight attendant wasn't aware of the nuance in English. Everything else about her was courteous, and everything else on the flight went smoothly. I would recommend Etihad to anyone."
Ulemper: "On flight, the staff seemed to care little for even the smallest of request. On a 15 hr flight from Abu Dabhi to Chicago, I asked twice for coffee, once for juice and once for sandwich, and each time the staff told me to wait, once they were busy, once they were going to serve food in 45 minutes and once the sandwich was put away (I repeat, "put away"). My wife asked for mango juice, and they said, they do not have any left, they only had apple and orange juice. Within 10 min when they replenished the cart, they had mango juice. It seems that they were just plain lazy to do even to cater to the smallest request."
Ulemper: "On March 20, 2016, Baggage conveyor system not operational causing great inconvenience and needed more Check-in ticket agents. Food was OK except the Breakfast or last meal before arrival at Lahore Pakistan."
