I am writing to complain about my very unpleasant stay at the Swissotel Le Concorde on July 4, 2009. I booked a room for 2 persons thru booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel, I told the personnel of the hotel that the second person will arrive later, but the person who checked me in did not tell that the second person would need to be registered at the hotel. Later in the evening, I arrived at the hotel with my friend (i.e. the second person). Although I said that I booked the room for 2 persons, but I was told that I had to pay 1,000 Baht extra, otherwise the second person was not allowed to go upstairs. I said that I booked the room for 2 persons (and requested 2 beds) and told the person who checked me in that the second person will join me later (which she did half an hour after I have checked in). The hotel staff at the lobby, when I returned that evening, did not accept this and said that I should have registered my friend when I checked in. I was very angry about this kind of manoeuvre to charge me an extra 1,000 Baht plus 17% service and tax, especially for a 5-star hotel. I give this hotel zero point for the rating and will never ever go back nor recommend it. If possible, could you please forward my complaint to the hotel and also to the equivalence of the Hong Kong Tourist Association in Thailand or Bangkok. Thank you in advance. Auguste Tran
A longer stay of 6 nights this time. The hotel is modern, clean and everything works well. Good for working between appointments. Close to the Metro station. Internet access absurdly costly. 15% of the room rate! Many comparable and even much cheaper hotels do not charge for internet any more. The location is convenient for the Metro, but nothing else. Nowhere much to even go for a walk on the weekend. This is really a business only hotel in my view.
The ambience was escellent. Room neat and tidy and good size. there was no room to sit and relax in lobby during lunch time as they cleard the chairs to make room for dining tables.
silent rooms .location near MRT station Hotel never found the booking made through booking .com so we were forced to pay for an upgrade to executive floor . We found as well that the people there were very strict and limited in terms of service. The upgrade was sold to us as a better value for money deal than booking .com but it turned out to be like for like much worse !
excellent food & good services
Perfect,, the pool on the 5th floor was perfect!!! they could have asked at check in if i wanted non-smoking but was arragned quickly.
Hotel is stunning.Pure Swiss Class.Very good price at $60 p/N.no where in the world can you get a five star hotel for that price.service fantastic. Hevy traffic in and out of hotel all the time.beware of this.location amidst many massage parlours
The room and hotel were clean and everything worked. The restaurants offered good choice and quality, but few guests used them whilst I was there. In general this is a good business hotel. Internet charges are excessive. At the room rate charged, it is too much to have to pay by the day for internet access in 2010!
It was right next to my palce of appointments ( BIDC )
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and tidy and the staff do a very good job cleaning every day. Laundry facilities quick and efficient. Well located for taxis and subway. When there is a large conference or function the seating areas for residents are removed and there is very little space for residents to sit and relax. Obviously the functions are very important for revenue but so are normal residents.
Staff helpful little overpriced compare other hotels which are far superior then Swissotel
The receiption staff were not freindly during the checkout and they treat me bad.
Very good hotel Nothing
The hotel staff was very nice and helpfull
very nice people taxi was theonly way to move around
We stopped in our our way home from a backpacking trip and wanted a restful, easy place to saty (with laudary sevices). It was a nice break before the long flight home. Everything was great including the staff and food. it was great
it is near Bangkok hospital the poor breakfast and it is very old and dosent worth the money we pay
This hotel was fantastic, the staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was huge a great range, Enjoyed the pool and health spa facitlities. I highly reccommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok.
Very nice with live music in the Piano Bar in the evenings. Helpfull staff. Left the hotel 04:45 am when flying back home. The hotel provided us with good breakfast bags to bring with us. Nice restaurang with very good prices. Maybe a small minus would be the location of the hotel. No problem to go from the hotel but coming back was sometimes a little bit tricky since the hotel is not that well known. Recommend to always have the small little hotel location map (provided at the front desk) in your vallet.
Excellent rapport qualité prix. chambres grandes, design, jolie salle de bain, à 45€ la nuit je ne peux rien reprocher à cet hotel
I have paid a one full day in hotel (24 hours). My check in was at 3-15 pm. A staff blocked my room at 12 pm and ask me to check out. Why should I check out before 3pm if I stay in hotel only for 1 day???
Very clean comfortable hotel. N/A
The room is clean and comfortable, and the price is reasonable. The restaurant is exellent both Dinner and Breakfast, varieties of food. Service staff are exellent, eager to serve with very good manner. Parking space
I liked that any time I had an issue it was handled immediately. The people were very helpful and kind. I did not like that the I paid extra to have a safe in the room and all the rooms safes don't work. The beds were extremely hard.
Location for night life Plain room, nothing impressive.
Staff sevice. Inadequate computer availability
Clean rooms and exellent cuisine
The staffs & the cleanliness of the hotel. No
bts station only 5 minutes away not situated in a very nice part of Bangkok.much better hotels for the price elsewhere.
Location, near Metro, good food nearer, good super market nearer Nothing, sorry
I was happy with the location almost on top of Suttisan MRT so I could easily travel around Bangkok. The market was fantastic and I could get anything I needed right there. My morning mocha was under $1.40 and available in several very close booths. The room was quiet and large with a fridge and some kind of rice cooker I did not understand. I felt absolutely safe in the hotel and around it at all hours as a single, middle-aged woman. There are always people around. Highly recommend the massage place downstairs. Fabulous to get done and go back to the room to sleep. The internet went in and out - I don't think that is the hotel's fault. Few staff speak any English at all. They would find someone to help though - even if it is another guest who happens to speak English.
Location is good, very close to Ratchadapisek road and night market. Quite a few restraunts nearby, easy to get around and fairly close to the airport Found a roach in my bathroom:( Hotel is difficult to see off the road, cab driver missed it couple of times
