Location was perfect, less than one minute to bts station, one stop to water ferries. Very easy to get to and from airport via train. Very nice rooms, comfortable bed. Nice pool, but it is a little colder than I would prefer. Traffic. Don't try to get around using a car or taxi. Use the bts or water ferry to get around.
The rooftop dinner and the bed was very comfortable. Room was good The hotel is getting old and needs referbishment and the staff were not very qualified. The concierge ripped us off by using a very expensive tour operator, maybe with a kickback to the hotel!! We forced him to change the tour operator on our second trip and found a much cheaper one for the same trip!!
Beautiful rooms, lovely lobby, great staff and the most amazing roof top bar in the world - has to be seen to be believed Not very impressive from the outside - but more than made up for on the inside. Also, the pool is a little small...
fabulous hotel! Breakfast in the club suite was fantastic with very friendly and helpful staff! Great rooms with great views... We will return!
Our stay was fantastic, from the minute we got out of the cab on arrival till the time we left for the airport no request was too much trouble for the staff....we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Hotel experience enables you to relax quickly - everything is a breeze
Room located on what of the hghest floors. Amazing fod and views. Very efficient anfriendly staff.
Everything was just excellent...............dont miss the breakfast No negatives
I booked this hotel in order to propose to my girlfriend and I have to say the minute you get out of the taxi you are just welcomed with open arms. I booked the grand suite where once we werechecked in at reception we were brought to a club lounge to finalize everything with check in. As already mentioned I booked the hotel in order to propose to my girlfriend so I booked a table for 2 at the Vertigo restaurant which was on the rooftop of the hotel on the 62nd floor. Yes the food was a bit on the expensive side but I have to say that the whole experience was just amazing and the night time views of Bangkok just blew us away. Thanks to all the staff of The Banynan Tree for making it a night to remember.
Location was very good . Basic rooms were god value for money and the roof top bar good I have stayed before an felt the service was not as good . Buffet breakfast was slow and bit sloppy at times . We were in premier suite and lobby high tea was inconsistent . Food was good when came but what we got as in quantity varied . It should be the same each day every day .
One of the best I've ever stayed at! Amazing service and luxury.
My first time in Banyan Tree and far beyond luxury standard they claim to have.Unsatisfactory!
We spent just one night, before flying back home, but we really felt like being VIP. The price is absolutely correct and the money is well spent. The shower we could have in the wellness area before leaving Bangkok was the last but not least pleasure....The right place for "special night"!!
High quality hotel with all comfort one would expect. Everything so expensive from drinks to breakfast!Rooms & common parts very nice but outside looks bit prison like.
Absolutely wonderful.. Staff, grounds, service .. A1 What a pleasure .. loved it
Swimming pool Global service Room Italian restaurant
Room was lovely, service was excellent, pool was large, gym was well appointed. The entire grounds of the hotel feel like an oasis in the busy city, with no sound getting past the long driveway in, and the rooms well designed to allow for privacy, quiet, and relaxation. Every piece of equipment I tried in the gym had a problem with the headphone jack; I had to prop the headset halfway out with towels to get good sound.
Quiet, classy property. Fantastic staff. Comfortable bed with great pillow selection. Great dining options. Nice gym and pool area. nothing
The service was great. Very friendly, which was welcome after being on the road in Thailand. The gym and spa were tops.
High-end facilities, food, atmosphere, well educated staff The constructions, a neighbouring building is built and you can hear the noise while staying ast the pool. The noise was still at a 'accepteable' level, but not what you expect when booking a 5star hotel and paying at a 100% rate (without any warning upfront)
Very clean and staff was accommodating to all requests
We liked to hotel a lot. Great located and nice staff. Especially the breakfast was amazing!
This hotel, which, due to its location may be the best value for a businessman in Silom, was built a few years ago with great attention to detail, as it should be for a five-star property. Yet, it is now maturing rapidly, and it appears it wants to compete on price, not on maitaining the quality of its offering. Having stayed here more than ten times over the years, I can see the subtle, and not so subtle changes for the worse. The towels are fraying, the maid spends less time cleaning the room than ever, the cloth laundry bag has been replaced by plastic, the beds have began to creak, the toilet cover has been replaced with an ill-fitting after-market one, the Hour-Glass Restaurant staff is now hurried, less attentive and, at times, downright rude, and, as a result of going "downmarket," the quality of the guests has gone down as well (e.g. boisterous guests in the Lobby and when leaving their rooms at 4:30 am for the airport). It's not too late to change this ill-conceived new direction. Still beautiful rooms and facilities, extremely helpful staff (except in the Hour Glass Restaurant), excellent location next to the MRT station, and a 15' walk to the BTS Silom station.
the staff were very helpful and welcoming at all times
we were afamily and it was so comfertable stay poor breakfast comper to 5* hotel , far away from shopping area bed room is small
the fitness center was great and 5star +++
Good quality for good price A lot of people during breakfast buffet = the kitchen does not prosecute to complement food
i really like the Ascott system, it really fits my need. The rooms are excellent, lot of space and comfort. i feel at home.
The spaciousness of the unit (2 bedroom dlx) with its living room, bathroom & balcony (1) The quality of the sofa bed in the second bedroom as there are other sturdy and more comfortable type available in the market.. personally, I have one at home which of far more better quality and comfort. (2) Buffet breakfast, limited choices of bread (no viennoseries/pastries) and too many items with pork
Rooms are comfortable The buffet breakfast needs some improvemnet, more variety will be better and more service staff
I stayed at the hotel with my family and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The 2 bedroom appartment was very spacious and very well furnished. The pool and the Bistro at the premises was also a treat. No.
Very good value for money, well located and very helpful staff
I love the hotel, the staff, the large, well-equipped suites with kitchens. My family and I always stay here when we are in Bangkok. I always tell my friends to stay here, too.
Love the Como Shambala spa and their products. Not close enough to the main attraction.
the hotel was absolutly beautiful, the staff was gracious and kind. it was total and utter luxury and i highly recommend this hotel. fantastic!
Room was great. Staff excellent. Daily fresh fruit and welcome tea. Nice pool and fitness area. Even though I am late 50s I was travelling with a back pack and staff couldn't have been nicer. None
Spa, food & service were excellent the access to the pool - do not like the fact that you need to cross the spa & take a lift down
mostly is the style of the hotel its designe helps me to relax my mind and could think more abt my job , so i think its good for the businesman who needs to keep up with his job and relax at the same time no all ok
I booked from 24th to 29 Jan., but they pestered me on 28th the whole afternoon when do I check out. Only after some sort of confrontation I comprehended that their records showed that our room was booked only until 28th. - I stayed in Bangkok another 5 days, but I changed the hotel.
Hotel design and service was fantastic not really
The staff were brilliant. I had a late night flight so the staff gave me a late checkout till 2pm and when I returned to collect my luggage they allowed me to use the spa facilities they have on the 2nd floor to freshen up so had a sauna, jacuzzi and shower, very nice touch. Free wifi in the lobby was nice but the signal not strong, they had a permanent computer in the lobby for guests use. Small breakfast presentations but good quality. Idea to order main breakfast dish from the menu, they should change the muffin on the egg benedict, it was a muffin the size of a fist, too much bread and wasnt even good bread. Rooms lacked personality, the minimalist concept looking a little tired. Noisy rooms on the 10th floor, I was given a room there and had to change as could not sleep, not traffic but rather machinery noise from the hotel, maybe air con units. Small rectangular windows. Television had bad reception for the channels on offer, not good picture quality. Swimming pool area was also very noisy with workers fixing up an area behind the pool, there was no note of this until you arrived at a very noisy poolside. Strange arrangement to get to the pool but nice pool though!
The attention, dedication and friendlyness of all Staff at the recepetion, restaurant (Thai) which is excellent and Everything was absolutely fine
The thai massages are the best ever, cost an arm and a leg but ..... Take a Metropolitan room! It is not so central but still it is our standard address for Bangkok. Our third time already.
The staff was amazing, they were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel overall looked great from the inside and outside. The only thing I didn't like was the location, as its proximity to so many schools causes there to be heavy heavy traffic, making it difficult to get a cab to take you there after 3pm. However, you can always walk to nearby places.
I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was superb! There's nothing that I didn't like. It was an amazing stay.
Huge enough, and clean location
I like the staff, restaurant, location. Some of the other guests were rude to the friendly staff for no reason.
Friendly and helpful staff Free internet should be provided in all the rooms
Everything was great! Clean modern rooms with complete kitchen and washer drier. Would not stay anywhere else. Excellent breakfast also for a pittance. A super bargain at $---- per night for everything but breakfast. Can't think of a single problem with this hotel. It's the best! And I'm picky!
Stort værelse, Hotelpersonale perfekt, fin pool, fin beliggenhed Wireless internet over alt, Tag gulvtæpperne af i værelserne, Morgenmadsbuffet mere thai mindre American
Den store hotellejlighed var perfekt til en familie med 2 små børn.
fantastisk....god beliggenhed..perfekt..bangkok skyline upper floors
Venlig og serviceminded personale.. Værelser lidt slidte, men store og rummelige.. boede på 14. etage med kanon udsigt over skyline. udemærket morgenmadsbuffet...rigtig godt hotel til pengene .. dejlig stor varm pool
Hotellet ligger meget centralt. Der er en meget god stemning. Personalet genkender gæsterne fra gang til gang. Leilighederne er store og meget velindrettet. Man får utrolig meget for pengene.
Brilliant place, with all facilities one can have. Room service hours can be extended.
Except for the security at the gate all the staff were extremely friendly and above all very efficient (which is not allways the case in Thailand). If anything the breakfast is a bit poor and the coffee was not upto standard but overall excellent hotel.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent.
The staff is wonderful and genuine----very respectful and friendly. The room we had was huge---1 bedroom, living room, open kitchen, large bathroom. My husband and I had our own spaces to retreat to and were very happy and comfortable. (This was my second stay here.) The only thing that was a slight inconvenience was the location of the hotel and taking taxis especially at rush hour. However, we have decided it is worth staying there for the reasons given because it is such a great hotel and we like the staff so much. We felt very secure. It is also a place where families and business people live.
Mostly efficient staff. Transfer tuk-tuk. Breakfast buffet better than some in vicinity. On arrival the a/c in the corner suite was inoperative and I had to move to the next door central suite. After 14 hours on an aircraft I wanted a shower and a/c not a room change. Surely they should know if the a/c isn't working in a room. In this suite the patio door was jammed and the lock had to be replaced. Flushing problem cleared after twenty trys as engineering took over fout hours to arrive. The dvd player would not play a locally bought genuine dvd, but by this time I'd given up asking for further repairs. It is not reasonable to expect the guests to test the facilities. The pool gets a lot of children and teenagers and no attempt is made to enforce the "no diving" rules.
The stuff are make you so comfort and friendly. I'm love to come back and stay there again.
We were 9 people who stayed at Somerset Park Suanplu - all very happy and contented guests of said establishment. The service, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were big and spacious. The buffet breakfast, while not comparable to a Hyatt or a Peninsula, was quite hearty. While not a big issue, as most of the shopping places were accessible via taxi - it's location was off the beaten path. Both a plus and a negative: plus because we were away from the noise. Negative, because we couldnt just go out and walk around. This is a non issue though.
Hotel staff are very helpful and flexible. The location is within reach of business points especially silom The bedroom is quite big but occupying so the living part are a bit too small compare to size of the room.
very helpfull staff, specialy Shanida (front desk) and Ing (guest relation)
Well located near South Sathorn Road and about a 10 minute walk to Saladaeng overrail station. Near local shops in Soi Suanplu. Spacious rooms and good value for the rate charged. Good and wide choice for breakfast. Very clean rooms.
Yes, a good hotel with choices of breakfast and helpful staff. The distance to shopping area is a bit far.
None Breakfast Not much If the silom road to walk a little distance
Excellent facility for the price paid. The staff are friendly and well spoken. It's about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the BTS (Sky train) or MRT (under ground train) stations. It's not a long walk but in a hot summer day, it is not a pleasant walk.
I stayed at the hotel before so knew what to expect. A good clean appartment with good service close to the skytrain and nightlife/shopping of Silom.
A suberb one bedroom apartment, spotlessly clean, good location, good breakfast served not buffet style but as a set menu which can be ordered from a menu card. No non smoke rooms according to staff and this guest had to change apartment due strong sigarette smell. Suggest to introduce separate non smoke rooms.
I like this hotel it s very quiet and in the center of bkk easy to found and easy to access evry thing near by I will stay again there
hotel its big and clean, comffort to long stay
The staff especially Tasma, the director was great:) Always smiling, always helpful, always positive... We felt at home during our stay. The hotel design is really relaxing and the whole place has a very positive atmosphere! We loved this place:)
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Convinient location, just 5 minutes walk to Skytrain and Pier. Motorway is very close (noise)
Very nice, modern and clean rooms. Lovely familiar atmosphere, they just helped for everything. Nice garden and a small swimming pool. Internet, drinks and biscuits for free. Excellent location close to Skytrain station. They didnt charged for earlier check-in and later check-out. Maybe not the cheapest option but worth the money. Bit noisy because of its crazy location between a bigger road on the same level and an upper-leveled pay-toll road. Taxi's wont' find the hotel so be sure you have the hotels telephone number with you (or get out at Surasak Station an walk).
This B& B is wonderful= beautifully renovated , colonial style family home with all the amenities of a designer boutique hotel. The owners are a young couple who can guide your stay in Bangkok to suite your taste and desires.Great location near the Skytrain.Easy to get to all areas of the city. Wonderful staff- cheerful, helpful, excellent! I liked everything about this hotel/ B&B!
A beautiful Thai house; not a standard, boring, everyday hotel. Spacious room and en suite, elegant, comfortable and charming. The hosts could not have been more helpful and pleasant. It is noisy but unless you stay in a sterile high rise all Bangkok is noisy. Take WAX earplugs
this is an intimate b&b where the staff are friendly, helpful and kind. no
My wife told me every day how wonderful and beautiful the home and our room was. I noticed everyday how kind, helpful, and generous the owners and their staff were to us. It is located next too a busy intersection which makes it difficult to sleep during the day or early evening. But they do provide ear plugs!
Very nice and helpful staff. Small and very special design, old style furnitur etc -Newly renovated in old Thai colonial style? Good location close to Skytrain. A small fridge in the room would have been nice. Price a little bit too high but acceptable.
