Great location, and the grand room we had was perfect with children as it had an extra room and lots of space. This room had. Beautiful simple French decor and was very comfortable. There was no meet or greet by staff, and no reception. It is more like a b&b. There are many beautiful chateaus you can stay in which are more typical of the Bordeaux region. However you can't beat the location of this hotel, and the rooms are nice
Small B&B in the center of Bordeaux, it is composed of a small number of rooms, so it does not suffer from problems that are typical of bigger hotels. The rooms are clean and of decent size, the environment was quiet and relaxing and the staff was nice and helpful. Due to its nature there is no 24h7 reception and/or service.
The low distance from the center of the city, the tranquillity of the room. The fact that there aren't the same services as in an hotel
The location was perfect for exploring the city of Bordeaux. I thought it was a bit overpriced especially since breakfast (which we did not opt for) was an addition 12 EUR / person. Breakfast should have been included for what we paid for the room.
clean, excellent bed, well located but parking and finding the location was difficult. Detailed written street directions would be helpful. Not enough toilet paper
The room is very clean and basic.
It is very centrally located in the heart of Bordeaux. The toilet seat fell off on the first of our four nights and it was not repaired. The room safe did not work. Our room was in an annexe, not in the main building. The nearby parking facilities - if you could find them and then get a place - were exorbitantly dear; something like 36 euros per 24 hour period. This should have been made clearer on the hotel website. We had to trundle our cases through the streets from a carpark about 400m away, (at 75 years of age - not funny!) and it still cost us 76 euros for four days. Breakfast, too, at 12 euros a head, is not good value.
Available carparking poor and expensive. location almost impossible to find. room miniscule.
Nice building, very good feeling, kind staff, elegant (but small) rooms, excellent placement in a quiet spot.
You can't beat this hotel for location and price, or maybe you can and I just don't know. Anyway, in the heart of Bordeaux near all the shopping and restaurants you could want. My room was clean, comfortable and ideal for a single traveller. Also with a view to the Cathedral.
great staff, nice breakfast room Having the hotel closed during the day was awkward for check in.
I liked the room as it was like a tower and we were in a turret the location was also good I thought the hotel was very expensive for what it was. Also the car parking was not explained and very expensive
Location was very close to everything. Room was very tastefully decorated. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Very small room.
Very nice boutique hotel centrally located. It is heritage listed and has a charming ambiance. there is no fridge so when waking in the night (jetlagging) there is absolutely no basic facilities such as cold drinking water. The hotel reception closes up sometimes in the afternoon for a long lunch. There is no room service whatsoever.
It was located conviently to the Airport bus route and also in a nice part of town offering many restauratnts and places to walk.
Centrally located, helpful to degree, limited english but otherwise easy enough to get to all the sights. No printer on computer
excellent position. curteous staff. good choice of tv channels. overall many more positives than negatives poorly designed bathroom. no shelf for toiletries. no shelf in shower for shower gel. no loo brush!
oui no hair dryer in washing clost
Leaving There was nothing to like.
English speaking staff Position of hotel Very small rooms
Really good value hotel in an excellent location in central Bordeaux. The rooms are a bit small, but more than adequate for a short break.
very clean lovely reception staff location very little natural light in the room
Breakfast with fresh product, recently renovated, clean unfriendly personnel, no luggage storage room, no toilet for customers other than the rooms
friendly staff, great location
great location, free internet! Internet was not working :(
Our stay was in the adjoining Hotel Alienor, to which the above remarks apply. It was very quiet and comfortable and in an ideal, central, location for a visit to Bordeaux.
Nice rooms, and confortable bed. Breakfast simple (French) but the croissant and the baguette were very good. Now it it time to complete the refurbishing works with some descent plumbing fixtures.
Short weekend stay for look around city and wine region. Walked around city and shops and went on a wine tour. The walls were very thin, and I had some very loud neighbours. There were no facilities, just a room, no lobby. Coffee and tea making would be inexpensive to implement. Breakfast was taken at another htel altogether which was prety average. No atmsophere
Good location. When we arrived at the hotel, it was shut. There was a note on the door (in French) that we struggled to understand. Eventually, we worked out that it was redirecting us to a hotel round the corner. When we got there, the receptionist, although pleasant, told us they did not have our reservation. She did manage to find us a room, which was very small, with a tiny bathroom. All in all, very disappointing.
The location and ease of access to centre Room though supposedly with extra space, was still quite small
