The staff were impecable in their treatment of us. We were made to feel important. It is beautifully presented. Nothing.
nice location, close to city center, stylish there was a private party fot other hotel guests on saturday night at the pool. So the hotel changed from being great, quiet and stylish to a vulgar night club/ dance hall. Despite our many polite requests the music stayed absurdely loud and we could not sleep before 3:AM. We had to get up at 5:AM to go to the airport...
Good location. Very comfortable, knowledgable and extreamly helpful staff. Good room size. Room service drinks cold.
Staff were the best yet, a proper hotel, clean freindly, good food, wonderful room. Bit of a mission to find it, but a real jem, well worth it. nothing
fantastic luxurieus great hotel, very friendly and helpfull sfaff.!!!!!
It is a lovely hotel - loved the pool area and the public rooms. the staff were really helpful - just what we wanted
It was a lovely place, I would stay there again
Beautiful gardens with pool! Hotel is looking slightly faded and it is not cheap.
The excelent service of the staff, the linen in the bed. A little to far from center
Lapa Palace is a luxurious hotel giving ideal opportunities for rest and relaxation.Very efficient and very discreet staff. Extraordinary breakfast with a great atmosphere to enjoy in the restaurant or on a cosy terrace. Large and spacious rooms with full comfort. Very comfortable and nice bathrobes- possible to purchase as a souvenir. Lapa Palace is a real palace in the heart of a diplomatic district of Lisbon and a truly unforgettable oasis of luxury and peace in the city.
the staff at reception is very helpfull and will make your stay seamless. they have answered and organised all my trips for business and pleaseure (taxi, trains...) with great professionalism. internet is free and rooms are big and atmospheric.
Pleasant, helpful staff; comfortable room; nice breakfast. Hard mattress!
This little boutique hotel puts value in little things like a complimentary port wine in your room.the view from the library is magnificent and the decor is very nice.i think that the staff is the best they have to offer since they are always ready to help you in every possible way Everything was fine
charming and totally unusual place that has a wonderful, boutique feel to it. The roof top terrace with a view of the river was lovely, the 'honesty' bar was refreshing, the peaceful garden courtyard for breakfast was beautiful and the staff were absolutely delightful.
the library and the terrace and the location was superb. Service was excellent. Very special place. In each room there could have been a clock to tell the time!
Cozy and charming hotel, feel like home in every space - Room, Library, Dining/Breakfast Room, etc. Ideal location whether you want to stay and relax in the hotel after a long sight-seeing day, or for a short stay as it is very conveniently located - walking distance to several places, tram and buses in front of the hotel, quick taxi ride to/from the airport.
the friendliness of the staff, the design and comfort were absolutely fine. Also the library at the rooftop is great. The fake flowers everywhere in the house.
Character, intimacy, library with honesty bar
As Janelas Verdes was everything we expected and more. The hotel is quaint and beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, there is interent in the rooms, Molton Brown amenities, high quality towels, large tub, very large bathroom, view of the Tagus River ... a lovely, lovely hotel! I would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Lisbon. You are close to local restaurants and if you do not want to walk, you can catch the public transport very close to the hotel. Not really.
transition from busy street to beautiful courtyard, interior design
lovely comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Pretty courtyard to sit in . an oasis away from the bustle of Lisbon.
garden like "lufthansa", just the musts. but nothing more
I really enjoyed my stay here. The decor was really beautiful and the courtyard very peaceful. The staff were very nice too.The restaurant food is particularly impressive too. All in all, one of the classiest restaurants I've ever stayed in. the price of the breakfast
Very beautiful and romantic location inside a garden. Multifaceted hotel and room interior: you forget to be in a noisy town and feel like in a countryside holiday. The room we got was large, divided into two sections - bed and sofa areas. The restaurant we did not try but we imagine a nice atmosphere sitting outside in the garden, surrounded by old walls and flowers, protected from the town's life. Personel is in the background but very polite and helpful.
Loved the courtyard and the history and unusualness of the building. Friendly, helpful staff who were extremely ready to help and advise. The vegetarian choice was extremely limited. the chef made a special effort but it was not very straight forward. We also found it quite hard to find the first time as the directions from Casa de Sodra were not great!
The history of the building The first floor is incredibly loud. They didn't supply hair conditioner or body lotion toiletries. The staff was hit or miss in terms of friendliness. Not a great value.
Your printer for the Internet amchine was out of order (I needed to print boarding card for flight) I got help however at the reception desk. I was negatively surprised by the fact that you charged for your Internet. I have not experienced that at other good hotels. If you are afraid of excessive use by some customers you can set a time limit.
everything !!! no, not for everyone. Old convent, lots of atmosphere. For those who appreciate staying in something from another time----quiet, refined. No glitz.
The relaxed atmosphere, the boutique feel of the hotel, the food, the staff, and the outdoor terrace.
Great hotel, design and beutiful. very poor breakfest
The staff was really nice. I would recommend this hotel for an special stay in Lisbon. It is a design hotel with a lot of details as an old school of the 60`s, but very modern and comfortable.
