Breakfast. $10 voucher for the in-house restaurant. Rooms & beds were clean and sharp. I booked a Sunday night stay. Apparently they were all-booked for the night before, and after I arrived 30 minutes before normal check in time on Sunday, and they couldn't accommodate me for those 30 minutes and made me wait until the normal check in time.
Lady at the front desk was very helpful finding me food at 12pm.
Staff was very nice and the restaurant was good. Beds were comfortable and room was a pretty good size. Rooms were a little run down and carpet was a little dirty, some things in the bathroom were broken and bathroom was really small.
Old meets new was fun. Learning more about Don being blown-up in his crappy, small, yellow forgien sports car gave a fun dangerous vibe. Fitness room worked. Loation is great. Covered parking rules. One beat House music is hard to take by the pool trying to read or on the roof watching a beatuful sunset. That music requires the listener to be on lots of really good drugs in a club to be appriciated. However, I dare to say most people thing that music sucks anytime, anywhere while on any drug(s). Clubbing, stockholm syndrome nonsense, sholdn't be forced on everyone in the name of pseudo cool.
I like the amenities that were offered. I would definitely stay there again.
Loved the Complimentary Drinks and Snacks Pillows were outstanding Front Desk and Staff were great. Very Clean My room was quiet and very confortable Internet Connection was lousy. One piece of toast for Breakfast is just UnAmerican
Staff is great location is great and I love the pool! My room was over the restaurant and had a smell to it but it wasn't unbearable.
Restaurant was good. Junior suite was spacious. No hot water so cold showers all weekend. Towels were old and not very soft. Combo shower/bath was old/cheap. Blinds wouldn't close completely in living room area so privacy was an issue - especially since you could see through to the bedroom. Overall impression is that they took an old, run down 2 star hotel and tried to updated it with hipster accents. I've seen it done well elsewhere but here they fall short.
everything was above and beyond fantastic! incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, hip pool with excellent late night vibe, delicious drinks, tasteful decor, all-around cool scene in the heart of phoenix. we'll return whenever we can!
Location was good for what I needed. Other than that, stay away. Bedding was clean, staff was attentive and polite, but the place has not been maintained. At all. The property may have ranked a 4 star rating long ago, but it honestly looks like that was the last time they even spent a dime on upkeep of the structure. Again, the employees were great, but the place is a dump. Room had carpet that was withered and frayed, looked like it had been installed in the 80's. As if that wasn't enough of a tip off, there were several huge stains that literally looked like a donkey had urinated a few times - again, quite a while ago. Air vents have not been cleaned since the last century, so if you are into breathing spores, other people's skin cells, and bacteria - this place is for you. I also had the pleasure of sharing the suite with a loud buzzing noise every 55-60 seconds. Sounded like a cell phone on a table vibrating. After a few nights of putting up with this, I decided to investigate. Really with I had not... first I found a huge 36" x 16" hole hacked out of the wall behind a mirror hanging in the connecting hallway to the front room. This had some other mismatching hunk of drywall dangling in it, not really doing much to seal the hole. Emergency plumbing repair unfinished? Maybe the source of the camel pee stains, don't know. Finally, I found the item responsible for the 55 second interval alarm... behind the vent in the ceiling, a cheap recirculation pump was mounted with no thought for vibration dampening. Seriously, this thing was absurdly annoying. Honestly, I've seem far better maintained rooms in a Motel 6 or Super 8, I expected much better from a hotel of this supposed caliber.
Room was very clean, liked the layout, flat screen tv, breakfast good with hot food, waffles, etc. nice business center with free printing (printed my boarding passes there). Close to airport, Walgreens, staples. Parking garage was dirty and fairly dark. I was really watching as I traveled through it because there were plenty of places for someone to hide. Access to it was only via street sidewalk. Stairway inside of garage was especially sketchy and looked like homeless people had been staying in it.
First night was fine. No refrigerator or microwave as advertised. Breakfast fine. Staff pleasant. A few days later we stayed on our way home. In a ADA room. No hooks in bathroom anywhere. No vanity, only pedestal sink. Inconvenient. Room above parking structure. AC blew directly on bed. Carpet torn. "Small" king bed (is that a California King?) Front desk was not at all helpful. We did not sleep well. Not worth the money.
Location is convenient and morning breakfast typical & free Room was a huge pit, staff was not great.
The staff was friendly & helpful. The TV reception and the wifi were terrible. When I notified the staff they said the problems were throughout the hotel and it happened at various times during my stay.
The staff particularly Patricia was incredibly helpful. Very convenient to ASU and fine dining. The beds and room are quite comfortable. We liked it so much we stayed three nights in a ten day period. Great breakfast offerings Leaking ice machine on third floor
Breakfast here is always a good selling point. Scrabled eggs are difficult for large buffets and, at most similarly priced hotels, they will often go with runny reconstituted powder eggs. But, not here! Eggs were very good every day... as was everything else. A little variety each day would have been appreciated. But, generally speaking, the breakfast included in our rate was greatly appreciated... Pool area is nice, as well as the shaded patio area... The thing that bugged me the most about this place is that there was a huge party on the hotel grounds outside right under our window on our last night there. The music was so loud, we couldn't possibly drown it out with our TV volume and there was no possible way to actually try to go to sleep. It lasted at least until midnight, and, even though I often am up well past midnight myself on a Saturday night when at home, I needed to get up early to get family to the airport that following Sunday morning. Seems like everyone in my party had a terrible night's sleep, regardless of which side of the hotel their room was on. Unbelievable that management sanctioned such an event outside at night without thinking of the consequences of how it would affect the people staying there that night! And, what's worse was that when I approached the front desk about it at checkout the next day, theyoung lady said, "We don't usually have that happen..." Yeah, no kidding! If they did, no one would ever stay there on a Saturday night!! How about a little compensation for our inconvenience? Nope. Can't do it because we booked our room through KAYAK. What? Crazy... The bed was terrible. One side sunk in practically to the box frame. If they were adjustable mattresses, we didn't know it. No controls visible on either nightstand nor were there any placards indicating that the bed could be adjusted and that the controls were available in the nightstand drawer or on the side of the box frame or wherever...
Location Fridge missing upon arrival. Slow elevators. Location of breakfast bar, too crowded around food area. Uncomfortable beds. Loud music and motorcycles in the middle of the night, management did nothing to control the crazy party atmosphere at entrance to hotel. Front desk did not answer phone when we called to complain about noise. Carpet was lumpy and stained, needs upgrade. Faucets were leaky. This hotel is not what one would expect from a Wyndham hotel, we have stayed here the last three years, to reunite with family. Location is the only reason we stay.
Location was good especially for business travelers. Very close to monorail and quite a few restaurants nearby. Dated, could use new carpet especially.
Room layout and breakfast included. Noise level. Loud elevator. Also very low water pressure in bathroom sink. Not as nice as other Wyndham hotel we had stayed at. Our room's refrigerator was missing.
Run down and it smelled horrible. The heating and cooling is outdated was the worse night spent in a hotel
Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a decent breakfast. Convenient location, close to airport.
The room was humongous as well as the bathroom. The washer and dryer were cheap but I think they should have aa dispenser in the laundry room so you can buy detergent/fabric softenerdryer sheets. The front desk was very helpful and nice. My stay was very enjoyable. Whatever products they use to clean the room left it smelling aa little...bitter, almost like vvinegar but I sprayed some perfume to mask it and it was fine.
Staff were friendly, breakfast was great, will do it again. Great mini vacation!
Room was exceptionally clean! First floor room.
All of the staff were very cordial and helpful. I would recommend a stay here even for family.
Very clean and modern room, nice pool, nice decor, friendly and helpful staff
Staff is very friendly. Convenient shuttles. Breakfast included. Clean room and lobby. Bed was not very comfortable. Our view out the window was a fast food drive thru. Room fridge was a bit noisy
Awesome breakfast. My seminar was held in phoenix convention center. It is a little difficul to hangout with friends who stay in that area.
The staff was very helpful. We had ended up without a car and they were patient and informative about the shuttle service that they operate downtown for free and to the airport for $10. It was a wonderful experience. No complaints from me.
Breakfast is fantastic, pool and excercise great, staff extremely helpful, great value, large rooms, great beds, shuttle sevice.
The power going out in the morning and not being able to get ready for the day before time to take off.
The room was on the first floor, close to the parking lot & pool & it was clean. Breakfast was OK however overall I recommend this hotel & would to mind to stay at this hotel in the future. The pool was small however the day I decided to take my 2hr old to the pool the pool was empty & we able to enjoy it.
Free wifi and breakfast
I liked that it is close to downtown. The hotel need to be remodeled. The tub and toilet seat was peeling. The elevators were extremely dirty. The wakl from the parking garage to the hotel is a little scary at night, since you have to pass dumpsters.
Quick check-in, hassel free.
Quick change of room. I was first given an unmade room. Then I was moved to the top floor with exceedingly loud ac.
clean room cost was 35.00 more per room than quoted...That is with the tax already calculated. Read the fine print (wherever it is?)
The hotel was clean, decor very pleasing and modern, and had some convenient amenities - the buffet breakfast and the small 'business center' (1 computer and printer). We found it was not necessary to rent a car during our visit as the hotel is fairly close to the city's public transportation. The part of town the hotel is located in is maybe not quite the best part of town. Although, we did feel completely safe inside the hotel.
Yes. My husband and I were on a business trip and really enjoyed everything about the hotel.
Holiday Inn has always been our home away from home. Wherever we go, be it China, Singapore, in America, it has always been Holiday Inn for the family.
The staff was really a kind bunch of people, Noise! Hallway noise BIG TIME
Room was great. Bed comfortable Shower had moldy caulking. Needs redone
The staff was helpful and friendly.... The rooms were great! Tasteful and comfortable
It had a bed after 36hrs without one. For the price it's what you'd expect
good need to clean
A bed to sleep in Hotel was noted by workers at a restaurant close to the hotel as being 'hoeville' and they suggested not to leave my room. broken down cars in the paking lot, drug deal on the property as I made my way quickly inside to lock my door. No WI-FI, scary place
The price was OK for one night. The breakfast and the free WiFi was o as well .But that was about it... I did not like the fact that I booked a room and when I went there was any rooms avaible for me when I got there I tried to call and call after and nothing in return and the staff wasn't the friendliest either.....
Away under my expectations .
nothing I made a reservation for someone else. I didn't not check in. Vacation in Charged for the same night to me and to the guest Mark Lemnox they charged each one---- for the same night I called and the front desk lady said she will not reimbursement the money
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Price No heat in room and no other room available. Loud guests. Front desk said it was us but it was the rooms around us.
Very clean & in a great location The heat didn't keep the room warm once the daylight appeared.
Pool area carpets in hall were dirty, mold on tub edge, sliding glass window to pool was in disrepair.
Nothing I was offered drugs It was very dirty and the manager got info on my blankets that were rip and she did not do nothing about it
Combination of price and quality Homeless people around
The bed was amazingly comfortable. I probably won't stay here again because I prefer hotels over motels (room entrances that lead into an interior hallway rather than the outside) That's my fault for not really checking it out. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room wasn't cleaned very well each day. The shower head was so low I had to bend over in order for any part of my body above my stomach to get wet. The location of this hotel is not the best. Not someplace I would consider staying if I had kids with me. The tweaked-out hooker knocking on my door at 3 a.m. was a nice touch.
The worst shower I have ever been in,
