I didn't like that you had to pay for parking each day and you had to pay for WiFi.
The location was excellent and the facilities were very nice. The young man who first met us as we drove up was very, very friendly and helpful. We had trouble getting connected to the Wi-Fi. When we did (with the help of their out-sourced IT) it was a very weak signal. Also, when we got to the hotel, the place seemed a bit chaotic with wedding guests, wedding parties and tons of people clogging the entry way.
Rooms are clean and comfortable Room was not ready when I arrived
When I was working I stayed at this hotel year after year, and appreciated the little extras they had. This room was very basic, no extras or frills - but it was close to the political convention I was attending.
The daily parking seemed a little steep given both the parking garage and surrounding streets were basically empty.
It was clean. The staff was courteous, friendly, helpful and well informed. It was close to Temple Square and Shopping! Great atmosphere! No microwave or refrigerator in room. Also I don't like that they charge you for bottled water, $3.00 seems very high!
I always stay at the Hilton, it's great location and pretty luxury althought there's many more luxury hotels, Hilton is great in price and location, close to bars and City Creek Mall The extra charge for parking should be included with the stay
The firepits and lounge area No outside pool or hot tub. Room wasn't as nice as I was expecting for the money.
It was clean and centrally located. TL;DR We were overcharged for the room. The room was dark and tiny. We were "upgraded" to a smaller, darker room. Don't stay here. Paying via priceline was $40 more than the hotel website advertised. On a night when the hotel was nearly empty, we were given an awkward corner room that was poorly lit and the size of a closet. Front desk was nice enough to "upgrade" us.... to a smaller and darker yet equally uncomfortable corner room. The robes were threadbare, faded leopard print, and gross. It was so terrible that we questioned whether we were on Candid Camera. I've been a lifelong Kimpton devotee but never again. There are so many great hotel options in SLC. Don't waste your time or money here.
Location, friendly staff, decor Room 708 must be very close to ventsbof some sort because there is a hum going on the whole day and night, which could affect quality or sleep.
My husband and I enjoy staying here because it's always modern, clean, sophisticated and welcoming. They are so friendly and the rooms have these fun and creative amenities, like yoga mats & animal print bathrobes. We often have overnight lay-overs and roadtrip pit-stops in Salt Lake City and the Kimpton Monaco never disappoints. No complaints
this is one of the best hotels in SLC, the location, amenities and friendliness of staff is outstanding
The location was great. $15.00 for parking and no free wifi.
Bed was very comfy and big for me, my wife and out 7 month old little boy. Staff was nice and helpful. Had a great view from the 9th floor. Location was awesome. For a last minute trip, this place a gold to stay at. The bathroom was small, I have stayed at cheaper places with bigger bathrooms. Breakfast was over priced. It was cheaper for my family to go else where for food.
Bed was comfy...perfect for two. City view at night was amazing. Originally paid for the high rise but they tried to put me on the third floor. Desk worker Sage was very kind and helpful in getting us into a more appropriate room on the 14th floor. Small bathroom....small bathtub. Very few options for "gift store." 7 dollars for a bowl of cereal!!
Bed was awful. Lobby was stark and uninviting.
Clean, great location You are required to pay a $15 parking fee per day to use the only parking structure available on the premises.
It was so new and nice and clean.
Price was extremely high during our stay
clean and conveniently located. They don't have room service.
Good breakfast. Better than other places we've stayed. Nice people. Good room. Breakfast not as good as I remember. Parking was limited. Loading/unloading lane was packed with overnight parking. The regular parking was all taken. We were sent across the street with a parking pass. When we went leave the attendant didn't recognize or no what to do with the pass. Luckily he let us through.
Everything was perfect, no issues whatsoever. The room was cleaned so thoroughly everyday that it felt like we were getting a brand new room every day. No complaints whatsoever.
The room was very nice. The facility was clean and well situated. I really liked the pool, sauna, and the overall room. My friend ended up getting food poisoning after eating the breakfast. Please make sure that your food is fresh. He got very little rest that night and ended up vomiting for most of the trip.
The location of the hotel was outstanding. Literally across the street from the sports arena and just a block away from the Salt Palace convention center. In addition, the staff was always very attentive to whatever we needed and whatever questions we had. So while it was a business trip and I had zero say as to where we were staying, I was very impressed and would absolutely stay there again next time I'm in SLC. It was a new hotel (I think 5 weeks old) when we stayed so they were still working out the kinks. The room phone wouldn't work except for when on speaker phone, the thermostat unit wouldn't drop past 70 for the A/C setting and the position of the shower head to the shower door created inevitable run off onto the bathroom floor (nothing a towel couldn't soak up but, you know, still a curious choice). But those are very nit-picky things and will easily be overlooked the next time I'm in SLC because I will be staying there.
