Really nice and clean. Great location to the beach, bars and food. Expensive for a hotel with no fitness center and no breakfast included with the stay.
It was close to the beach...but also close to clubs...the bedding was very nice, and the rooms large. The bar off the lobby was really loud - made it difficult during check in. While that bar noise didn't follow me to my room - the club right next store thumped away until 2 a.m. I did not stay the 2d night.
Had some extra time at the continental breakfast as my wife slept in. Food was very good. The staff was friendly and did a great job.
Take a tricycle to park because the parking is so small and cramped that you can barely get your car turned down a lane and most everyone has to have a spotter standing outside their car to get the car out of a slot. I could not turn off the bathtub facet, so it ran all four days I was there. The cabinets look like they were bought from IKIA and put together by a chimpanzee since the doors did not fit right and the drawers would not push all the way in. The room was extremely small for a Holiday Inn Express.
It can be a it noisy at night which would only be a problem if you're trying to go to bed early. If you're not a night person you should probably stay somewhere else it's a great spot for hopping the bars nearby.
On my way to Sandiego I had to be taken by ambulance from Seatac to not one, but two different hospitals. My family nd I had to stay the night in the hospital in Seattle instead of at the surfer. The next day we had to fight to change our flights with the or lines and supply a dr's note to the airlines so we could have them changes for free. After showing up t the hotel with two hospital bands and a dr's note, the hotel wasn't so forgiving. I still had to pay for the night I missed right before Christmas. If you're looking for a compassionate staff, don't look here
Front desk person Jasmine was awesome. She was well spoken with perfect directions . You have a shining star with this girl ! Slight pet odor
The shower and that you can make your own waffles for breakfast. That you can hear EVERYTHING from the guests next door.
It was a pleasure talking with Bill in the office.
Room was clean. Management was polite and helpful for the most part. Pool and spa were welcome and mostly clean. Close to beach. Beds slept OK. Parking was free , but difficult and insufficient. When it filled up on the weekend there weren't enough spaces. Staff said tough luck , it's the beach on a weekend! Took the manager & a lot of grief to resolve. Room amenities were minimal. Bath had sewer smell, was a step down & hard to negotiate at night. Lots of road noise.
Very good value for the area- take advantage of the surf boards, boogie boards, and bikes that are located in the lobby. They also have free sunscreen in the lobby if you need a touch up. I would definitely go again.
close to the beach parking you have to pay extra it would be nice if it was part of your stay at no extra cost like most places, if your room window is next to the outside light good luck they have basic blinds they need heavy curtains to keep out the light, our room was in back next to this other room that was having a party you would think they would have someone walking the area so there wouldn't be loud people to disturb the others staying there for the price you pay for staying there! last thing lamp didn't work and no open wall outlets for chargers
The room was actually very beautiful. Super clean and up to date with everything. Location was convenient with a 7/11 and few Asian restaurant within walking distance as well as other locations driving distance. Overall very happy and will be staying here again. Some creepy hobos lurking around the area made it scary to leave at night for snacks and such being women.
Facilities were in working order. Staff friendly. Free working high speed wifi. No issues with parking. Always had a spot. Relatively close to the beach or Seaworld. Beds were clean. They have an elevator for Jose who need it. It helped with beach coolers. Good water pressure. Decent breakfast served daily. Just what you need. Nothing more. The building is showing its age. Lots of poorly executed patch jobs on the walls and floors. Feels cheap. You could hear banging through the walls most of the night. Thin walls. We had a roach crawling on the wall before check out. We killed it and left it for the crew. Our room window looked out to the elevator door, no view at all. The hotel has no view of anything, but car dealerships and a Holiday Inn. Just expect that. Really no big complaints here. Just honest feedback.
Liked close proximity to the beach. Pretty clean. Breakfast was not really a breakfast, just pastries. Bathroom area is very small with very few towel racks or room around the sink.
While this hotel is right at the beach it needs some serious help. Ice and vending machines were broken. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Hotel could use some revitalization.
I'm rating this on the fact we were given an updated room. Room was clean, new and plenty big enough for 2 adults, 12yr old and 5yr old. Can't beat the location and free parking! No resort fees no weird add ons... We will stay again and already planning next trip. We walked to dinner and lunch places everyday, tons of options close by.
It was a decent location with several restaurants in walking distance and of course the beach very near by. I was worried about parking when I saw the number of spots but we never had a problem finding an open spot. Our room keys kept malfunctioning. The lady from the office said this happened quite often. The bathroom had no vent fan. Some of the staff was friendly but one of the men at the desk seemed annoyed that we needed to request something. At one point I was in the office and noticed they had left out several contracts for other guests which seems like a privacy concern.
